GE Healthcare, a group company of General Electric Company (GE), announced the completion of the acquisition of Orbotech Medical Solutions Ltd. The acquired company manufactures cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) detectors used in GE Healthcare's Alcyone nuclear medicine practice. GE Healthcare recently obtained FDA clearance for the use of CZT technology in diagnosis and early detection of breast cancer in women.
