Things We Like About This Card

Low fixed APR of 9.99% for cash advances. You will have a low fixed APR of only 9.99% for cash advances if you don't repay in full what you withdraw from the ATM.

Choose your credit limit. This card offers you the choice of choosing your credit limit from $500 to $5,000. As this is a secured credit card, you will need to put a deposit equal to the credit limit you choose. So if you put $500 as a deposit, your credit limit will be $500, or if you put $5,000 as a deposit, your credit limit will be $5,000.

Your deposit account is FDIC insured. FDIC stands for Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. In this case, since Applied Bank is FDIC insured, even if it fails or declares bankruptcy, you can still get back the money that you put as a deposit as that is insured by the US government.

This card reports timely to credit bureaus. This is an advantage to you since it means that if you have been diligent in paying on time and not going over your credit limit, your credit score will start increasing and you can later enjoy the advantages of having a better credit score.

Free personal identity theft protection. So that you feel more secure, this credit card offers you personal ID theft protection.

No application or account set-up fees. You don't have to pay anything to apply to this card.

This credit card is accepted in most places worldwide. Even though you may be using this credit card to improve your credit score or simply using it because you can’t qualify for other credit cards, you will still be able to take advantage of the fact that it is an actual Visa (V) credit card which you can use almost anywhere worldwide where Visa is accepted. So this comes in handy when you want to secure a car rental or hotel reservation, or use it in shops and restaurants.
