Want an NFL credit card because you are a fan and want to earn rewards on all your spending? You've come to the right place for a detailed review of their cards.
One of the best ways to support your favorite football team and get great discounts is by using a team credit card. Barclaycard has issued a new collection of 33 NFL credit cards, one for each of the 32 teams and one general credit card that rewards you with points for all your purchases, and lets you redeem your points towards game tickets, purchase NFL licensed gear, and enjoy unique team experiences.
You can now demonstrate your team loyalty by carrying a credit card with your team's logo and colors on it, while earning rewards on all your purchases, and receiving special benefits and rewards throughout the year. The NFL season and the Super Bowl are an exciting moment for all NFL fans, as we will be able to watch and cheer for our favorite teams during this season, while hoping for the best and for our team to make it to the Super Bowl. Next season's Super Bowl will take place on February 5th, 2017 at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Most NFL credit cards have the same card benefits. Here is a list of the main perks and benefits that all NFL rewards credit cards have in common:
No annual fee. None of these cards have an annual fee, so you will earn all these rewards for free.
Earn 10,000 bonus points after spending $500 on purchases within the first 90 days. These points can be redeemed for a $100 cash back statement credit. Do note that statement credits can only be applied to purchase transactions of $25 or more.
Earn 2 points for each $1 you spend on NFL or Team purchases. You will earn 2 points on all your eligible game tickets, at team pro shops and in-stadium, so if you're planning on going to any game or purchasing NFL gear, you will earn the most rewards.
Earn 1 point per $1 you spend on the rest of your purchases. All your other purchases with these cards will be rewarded with 1 point per dollar.
Benefit from 20% off when shopping at NFLShop.com. This means that you'll be saving $20 for every $100 you spend.
Earn unlimited points. There is no cap to the amount of points you can earn, this way you'll be able to rack up points which you can later redeem for NFL game tickets, travel, football gear and more.
Redeem your points for NFL game tickets, VIP experiences or 1% cash back. For example, you can redeem 25,000 points for two regular season game tickets, 200,000 points for two Super Bowl tickets, or 12,000 points for your team's jersey. To get a cash back statement credit you will need to redeem a minimum of 2,500 points. 2,500 points will get a $25 statement credit.
Enjoy ticket financing with a 0% promotional APR for 6 months on eligible ticket purchases from a participating NFL team ticket office. That means that if you use this card to buy your NFL tickets, you will have 6 months of 0% promotional APR on those purchases, which gives you time to pay them off. After that, a 15.24%, 20.24% or 25.24% variable APR (based on your creditworthiness) applies. For you to be able to enjoy this 0% interest period, you must make your NFL ticket purchases at NFL team ticket offices. No minimum ticket purchase amount required.
0% introductory balance transfer APR for the first 15 months on balances transferred to your account within the first 45 days of account opening. After that, based on your creditworthiness, you will get a 15.24%, 20.24% or 25.24% variable APR. There is a balance transfer fee of either $5 or 3% of each balance transferred, whichever is greater.
Zero liability. You won't have to pay for fraudulent transactions if your card is lost or stolen.
Auto rental collision damage waiver, which covers your rented car against damage due to theft or collision.
Extended warranty, which doubles the warranty of your purchases by a maximum of 1 additional warranty year, for all original warranties of up to 3 years.
Other benefits, such as 24-hour assistance, travel accident insurance, as well as other specific benefits from Visa, such as purchase security of up to $500 per claim, roadside dispatch, lost luggage reimbursement and emergency card replacement, and from MasterCard, such as price protection and identity theft resolution services.
No introductory APR for purchases. Although using this card to pay for eligible NFL ticket purchases lets you enjoy a 0% promotional APR for 6 months (15.24%, 20.24% or 25.24% variable APR after, based on your creditworthiness), it does not have a 0% intro APR period for all other purchases. So other than buying eligible team tickets and repaying those purchases in full within 6 months, you should avoid making purchases that you cannot pay back in full by the due date. If you do carry a purchase balance at the end of the month, you will have to deal with a 15.24%, 20.24% or 25.24% variable APR, depending on your creditworthiness.
The NFL Extra Points Credit Card has a lot to offer you as a football fan. Not only do you earn points that you can redeem towards tickets or NFL merchandise, you also get a promotional APR period for eligible team tickets. If you carry a balance and would like to enjoy a low intro APR period to pay it off, this card is also a good choice as it gives you 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 15 months (must be completed within first 45 days of account opening), followed by 15.24%, 20.24% or 25.24% variable APR.
