Citi (C) has now launched a new time-limited offer for its Citi Dividend Card with a $300 bonus cash back for readers of GET.com. I must say that with its recent pumped-up card rewards, Citi is indeed making an effort to ramp up its credit card offers for borrowers with good to excellent credit score. This Citi Dividend Platinum Select MasterCard - $300 Bonus Cash Back will give new sign-ups $300 cash back when you spend $5,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of card membership. That means you will get quite a large discount on your purchases when you use this Citi MasterCard (MA) to buy stuff!
This Citi $300 offer is not advertised on the main Citi website, and you can only apply for it through certain pages, such as GET.com. Be quick though, since this card offer is for a limited time only.
Here's a quick rundown of the benefits of Citi Dividend Card - $300 Bonus Cash Back:
You will earn 1% cash back on all purchases with this card, and 5% cash back on quarterly rotating categories, which include a wide range of categories such as groceries, gas, travel, home improvement, fashion, department stores and many more. From July 1st till September 30th, 2011, you will get 5% cash rebate on hotels, airfare and car rentals, which is a good deal, in my opinion, if you are planning on purchasing travel for the summer holidays. The Citi Dividend Card has no annual fee.
Do note that this Citi Dividend Card - $300 Bonus Cash Back offer doesn't have any 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers, unlike the Citi Dividend Card $100 offer which comes with 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months. The regular APR on purchases is 15.99%, 19.99% or 22.99%, depending on your credit score. I recommend you to pay off your balance in full each month so that you won't have to pay any interest. Another thing to note is that you can only accumulate a maximum of $300 Dividend Dollars each year, which doesn't include the bonus cash back.
