Where is the best place to purchase 4gb DD2 (DIMM) Cards under $50?

February 12, 2012 1:23 PM PST  ·  Flag  ·  13 answers
I am looking to buy a single additional DDR2 Card with at-least 2gb of memory, but preferably 4gb+. Where would be the best place to purchase one?

Motherboard Info:
Intel Desktop Board DG4IRQ
Two 240-pin DDR2 SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets
Support for DDR2 800 or DDR2 667 MHz DIMMs
Support for up to 8 GBπ of system memory

Thanks,
Cyrusc

Use newegg. You can get an 8gb card for 50$ (DDR3) otherwise you have to get 2x 2gb if you dont want to upgrade.

  Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 ...

I like sites like newegg and tigerdirect. I've ordered a full kit from tigerdirect, probably spent close to 3k from there all together. It can be a little more pricey though. newegg is a good alternate.

Used on ebay. RAM is almost indestructable so getting it used isn't an issue, and it's cheaper especially if you're looking for last-gen technology like DDR2.

  Newegg.com - Memory Finder Tool

I have bought thousands of dollars worth of computer hardware from Newegg.com. and they have never let me down when it comes to price, bargains, customer service, quality, shipping, warranty/RMA issues, and ease of use. You will DEFINITELY find what you are looking for on there.

I typically order all of my parts from Newegg, but I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that the get.com's product search is actually extremely good for price-checking and finding respectable deals on other sites.

Another great spot is http://pcpartpicker.com, which takes into account various discounts like mail-in rebates, and gives a Price-Per-Gigabyte etc.
