FF7 or FFX and FFX-2 (probably all the final fantasy's really), I really liked Bioshock's storyline, that interested me quite a lot and, Portal storylines (1 and 2 that is) are both really good

I would have to say the Bioshock series hands down. If you want a more in depth look into the story line with more character development or more commonly how Bioshock 2 relates to the first, you can get the book which is also a great read and a huge addition to the story and the games.

i would definately have to say that out of the many RPGs and other games i have played the story line that kept me the most interested was either Bioshock or Portal . Its a very close toss up but bioshock is a much longer campaign that stays unique where as Portal, although an amazing game that i highly recomend, its storyline is less compelling

I personally like the portal storyline. Portal 2 more than 1, but portal 1 does have some significance to 2. It's also not all in the dialogue. If you explore the world in portal 2, then you can see the sorrowful tales of previous test subjects and the rise and fall of aperture science.

I always loved the story arc for Assassin's Creed. I know it isn't the "best" storyline compared to other titles, but it is very entertaining, especially if you love conspiracy theories and history.

cant stray from re4.. Its one of those games where i would be a little disappointed because i thought i was to the end, then BAM, something crazy happens and you are moved to a different environment with different baddies. First run through took me like 30 hours, and that is enough to make a great story

Call me crazy but I kind of like Mafia II for a good storyline. It tells a tale of a cool era, albeit illegal and dangerous. Kind of a mature take on gangs and dirty business...and legit. Very cool.
