What video game currently has the best graphics?

I know it's all about storyline and gameplay, but I'm just curious what game you all think is the best in terms of graphics!

Graphics aren't everything and I haven't seen Crysis graphics up close and personal, but Skyrim is easy on the eyes.

Skyrim was made for XBOX and the graphic and FPS are extremely restricted on an Xbox. Skyrim is a great game but not made to have great graphics. The hard fact is that battlefield and crysis are at the top of the spectrum of graphics. Have you ever opened an xbox or played on a top of the line pc?

For my PC, I can only run Battlefield 3 on Low settings with 2X AA, and it does look pretty amazing, but with my same PC I can play Skyrim maxed, and I have got to say Skyrim maxed out looks sexy.

Blah blah Crysis blah blah... honestly, I feel like "graphics" in the way people usually refer to them are overrated. More important to me than how realistic the textures are and how high the polygon count is, is a unified artistic/cinematographic style that is visually interesting and suits the game. For this reason, I'd easily vote Mass Effect 2 or Borderlands over something like the Modern Warfare games or even Crysis. They just look better to me, aesthetically.

Personally, I really enjoyed the way Gearbox did borderlands. It was certainly a change of pace and I'm looking forward to borderlands 2 if for the animation style alone.

On max settings the graphics are super-realistic and the textures are amazing. You need a powerful PC though.

Personally I think Skyrim on PC. There are some fantastic mods also to increase visual effects, high rest textures etc, things you simply cannot get in most other games.

Crysis is up there, but BF3 manages to get quality we only saw in cutscenes right into gameplay. The worst part, though, is that I'm already getting used to it as a standard.

Guys, this isn't a question about opinion. The BEST LOOKING (not counting overall design) games are:

PC: Crysis 2 (Only with the ultra-package downloaded)
Consoles: Uncharted 3 (PS3)

Skyrim for beautiful landscapes.
Battlefield 3 for generally awesome and optimized graphics, dice has done a good job to make it run on most pc's.
Crysis 2 for it's general tech, you'll need a very powerful pc to run this.

Battlefield 3 even with all the little bugs which DICE always is working to fix for the gaming community. I love the way how in action you tilt your head when a bullet wizzing past your head and a rocket hit the wall next to you and you hit the deck and your hearts racing looking for the opposition.

I love how in battlefield that sound is slower than light, more games need this!

I checked and it says MW3 has higher graphics than Skyrim but if you put your graphics to high then it'll be much better than MW3

On PC, and consoles for that matter, MW3 doesn't have any kind of graphical update from MW2.

Basically, the newest cod game is running on a couple year old graphic engine.

It depends on your tastes. Personally, I believe Borderlands has the best graphics, but that is merely because I enjoy the cartoony cel-shading-like style. If you mean most realistic, I'd go with crysis or skyrim.

Crysis, if played on max settings on PC could quite frankly blow NASA supercomputer's guts out. Crysis 2...meh.
