What is the possible ending to the Assassins Creed series ?

i've heard that desmond will become a bigger part of assassins creed 3 allowing you to actually do things combat related and i hope that if it does end it's going to be with some epic world altering event.

I don't think we'll see and actual "ending" to the Assassin's Creed series in the near future. The game will continue to be milked sequel after sequel.

Its a trilogy so the main story will be ending soon enough..i doubt they'll do what they did to 2 as people begin to get feed up with Ezio to some degree all though the gameplay improvements were great.
