Dunlop The Original Crybaby Pedal
The Dunlop Crybaby is the original - the one that created some of the most timeless sounds in rock. When people talk about wah pedals, they're talking about the Crybaby. Relied on by Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, David Gilmour, and many o... read more...

This one is like original and best. If you are going for the traditional 'wah' sound this is the one you want, even for a beginner. It will give you that classic sound... I mean it's a classic piece of equipment.
The other reason this is a great choice is because it is built to be incredibly solid. Built for the road, as it were. Durability is important with a piece of equipment that you operate with your feet! You don't accidentally want to kick it too hard and end up destroying it! You won't have to worry about that with this thing.

My brother has this pedal and while he's passed amateur some time ago he still uses it. Says it works great, doesn't need anything extra, has great sound, clear, and inspired. He says that whatever sound you're wanting to put through it comes out just like you want it.

I have nothing but good things to say about the sound I can get out of this wah. very pure and rich...great wah.
The only thing I don't like is that there is no indicator light to tell you when it's on! Usually there's like a little LED light or something that lets you know when it's on, but not on this one :(
Oh well, i can work around that for the pretty sounds I get from it!

I would actually recommend this pedal before the Dunlap Wah. I'm sure many people would absolutely disagree with me on that.
I like this one better because it definitely offers a wider range of sounds, like I can pull more tones out of it.
The Dunlap wah does have a nice sound but it's certainly not as versatile as the Behringer. In general, Behringer makes excellent musical equipment.
In my opinion this is a steal, and I say go for it! You will love it.
