I was given this book for Christmas and I'm so glad I did. It has the most delicious and amazing recipes. I love to bake but I hate to do it out of a box. This book has some very refreshing and new recipes I've ever had the pleasure of baking. There are a collection of Gooseberry books I'd like to get. The illustrations are so cute and just adds to the character of the book. My favorite recipe you should try is the pumpkin biscuits.

This has incredible recipes from breakfast muffins and scones to pizza to cakes. This book takes the point of view that baking is an art form and must be done perfectly or not at all! Covers all your baking questions and concerns and takes all the mystery and guess work out of baking.

I was shocked when I looked at the contenders and Betty Crocker wasn't on here. We all grew up with these recipes. This book has over 450 recipes and has cookie for every occasion. I know you wanted a general baking book but cookies are so good I had to put this one on here.

French cooking is the best! My mom got this for me and its has amaaaazing french baked goods from real bakeries in France! highly recommended.

Country Baking Cookbook

I love this book, came across it and loved how easy the recipes were. These are some good old fashioned foods my grandmother would cook and its so comforting. I love that I usually have all ingredients on hand so when I have guests over I can quickly sneak into the kitchen and make a batch of biscuits or a sweet Strudel. Friends think I have been working on these all day when its a matter of an hour or less.

Country Baking Cookbook

Baking really originated from the Country cooking and so I picked this one up and Started baking a few things in here and man!! Its so easy and it came out so good! I am now addicted to baking (not really good for the figure) but I love to bake for friends and family and give out baked gifts. Nothing better then a made from the heart baked good. My favorite so far is...Apple Danish, Devil's Food Sandwich cookies (to die for), and Peanut butter strudel pie. I'm still working on baking more but I think you will find this easy to follow and the outcome is so comforting.

This was a very easy recipe book that didn't call for a million ingredients. I love a simple recipe. I tried several recipes and they are very tasty. Its exciting for me to cook for others because I know they will be pleased. No complaints so far! ; )
