I would say a nasty rainy day is one of the only times you might actually be able to make it through a whole game of monopoly!
I know it's one of my favorite rainy day activities!

I would definitely suggest a good book. Chuck Palahniuk is one of my favorite authors - i would suggest reading anything by him!

I would highly suggest spending the entire day watching the first season of Prison Break. This show is awesome-especially the first season. You will want to watch the whole first season, one after another, until it's done.
Basically, a man is framed for murder and sentenced to death. His genius brother gets himself purposely incarcerated at the same prison in an attempt to break out with him (when I say genius, I don't mean it patronizingly, in the show he is super smart).
It's a very exciting and unusual premise for a TV show, and one of the best shows I have seen in the last ten years - no exaggeration. Gotta check it out!

My wife does a lot of ready in general but on rainy days it seems she is more than capable of going through a book or two...depending on if the kids are home or not. She likes to read Valentino, Patricia Cornwell, and books regarding health or fitness. Personally, I'll stick with magazines.

Lol. My husband and I are notorious for catching up on past seasons of shows we used to watch. This is our next one to catch. Other good ones have been Numbers, CSI, and Law and Order SVU. Sometimes a rainy day calls for a lazy day!

Love game days. Monopoly and Sorry are my two favorite games. There's something about Monopoly that takes me back to my childhood and of course I'm extremely competitive so that fact that the game can go on for as long as it does it nice because if I fall behind I have plenty of time to catch up...hopefully. Great rainy day activity.
