It's amazing how many different machines we need for different styles of cooking, that's why I purchased this Panini Grill. You can use it for meat too so I did't feel like I was getting it for a type of sandwich I only eat once every couple of months, if that. I also use my grill to make steak and chicken, a nice alternative to having to haul out the heavy duty grill out back. I've recently even started grill vegetables too and they come out so delicious. Steaks you have to keep your eye on to keep from over grilling and fish is still a little tricky for me. Cooks it great but I lose a lot of fish on the grill still. It's been the perfect appliance and I'm so happy with it.

I think this is a great panini press for general, every day use. It has adjustable temp. settings and a floating top. It makes a great panini, hamburger, sandwich... basically anything you want. My only problem with it is that the lid is quite heavy, and sometimes crushes my food too small! Other than that I have no problems with it and am very satisfied.

I love making paninis.... I use this thing all the time. It's not super fancy or anything, and doesn't unfold or have removable cooking plates or anything, but it makes one hell of a panini.... which is all I need it for. It doesn't have a temperature adjustment, but if you just plan on making paninis and other hot sandwiches you don't need it. This machine will cook your panini perfectly every time. It also has a floating lid for height adjustment, depending on the thickness of your sammy.
