This thing is absolutely wonderful!!! Exactly what I was looking for. A blade, a flashlight, a fire starter... even an emergency whistle.
If you ask me this is the perfect little knife to take on a camping trip. It offers that little bit of security I need to feel confident in my safety. It's a great single item to bring along in your pack for ANY outdoors activity, because you really have no idea what might happen to you while you're out there.

This is a pretty awesome knife I bought for my husband, but there are some inherent problems with it.
The blade is really big, and is sharp enough. It's not fastened very well to the handle, so it's not useful for heavy duty chopping like big branches.
I still think it would be very useful if you were lost in the woods or whatever because you could certainly hun with it and also you could whittle sticks with it, if need be. Just hypothesizing here.
It also comes with lots of other useful things in the handle and sheath. It's a good thing to have around, that's for sure.

I would say as long as you don't need a big blade, this is the way to go. It's got tons of different knives, blades, even serrated ones...even has a magnifying glass which may help you make a fire? maybe..
these are fantastically durable, well made tools. years of use will come out of this guy!

I think this is a tool that would be the most beneficial in the outdoors. It has a little something for every situation I can think of, minus starting a fire. Swiss Army knives are great.

GREAT EXCEPT FOR THE COMPASS!! Compass does not work at all
The blade is sturdy and sharp. The bottle opener works, as does the magnifying glass, although it's small. Has little tweezers, too.
It wil fit in my wallet, although it adds too much bulk to carry around all the time, so I only add it when I am going for an adventure, or basically any time I leave the city.
It feels good to be prepared for the worst.

Yes I think if I were in survival mode in the wilderness my biggest concern would be finding water. A camelback would be nice, or some sort of water purifier.

This is a great tool to keep in your car... too bulky to carry around with you though. It has lots of good stuff like a blade, a firestarter, flashlight, signal mirror, etc. Some of the stuff is useless like aluminum foil? I don't get it.
Nice to have in the car or for camping trips, just in case.

That is such a great show. My husband watches it whenever possible. He also watches the one with the ex Marine who goes out in the wild with his wife. They are very interesting and definitely give you some great survival tips.
