I've always been able to taste a difference using Brita as long as you change the filters often enough.

I'm also a Brita fan. I like the taste so much better than other I've used...which is not many. The filters seem to go quickly, however, which might be my only complaint other than the system itself is also a little bulky so if I have a lot of dishes in the sink, it becomes a pain to turn on and use.

I am a believer in Culligan when it comes to water filtration. It filters up to 200 gallons, improves taste, and if there are any bad smells in your water it virtually eliminates them as well. It's small which is perfect for sinks that don't have deep sinks, installs quickly and easily by screwing on, and is well below your budget.

I used to live in a small town that had water that smelled just like sulfer. It was overpowering and rancid. You get used to it after a while and some seasons they run off of a different well so it's not as strong so it never dawned on me to get a whole house filtration system. However, when we built the house, the superintendent told us that these faucet filters were great. They made the water worth drinking and you couldn't smell any of the sulfer that was present before. It really works well.

In general, I love this filter.
I used to have a Brita refillable one, but honestly I hate having to fill it up all the time. Call me lazy, I don't care....... I just wanted something else!
This works well, and my only complaint is, yes, it does leak a little bit. Getting a tight seal is a bit difficult, but I think you will find similar results with lots of these products.
It is possible to get a good seal, but you must be determined.
Other than that, the water is definitely filtered and clean tasting, better than what comes out of the faucet!

I have this one and it works really well for me.
Some people have problems getting it on, though. Some faucets do not have the right end to marry to the filter, so I guess it doesn't always work. worst case scenario is you return it!
But it does come with the necessary equipment to attach to your faucet, and for me it has worked pretty well. I only say 'pretty well' because I do have a complaint: the filters are expensive, shipping them is also expensive, and they are not available at enough places. I guess the cheap initial cost snags you, and then you're caught paying for the filters after!
But it does work rather well, and for that reason I recommend it.
