I know this woud be a kick ass gun. I like Thompson/Center guns. They're built to last and provide a fun, easy shooting experience. Priced right, too.

There are some good Muzzle Loaders out there, but one of my favorites is the Savage 10 ML-II. I haven't had the opportunity to use it out in the field yet, but I did get to fire it a couple of times when my friend bought his. I know he really likes it and has had some good success with it. I think the thing that sets this one apart from the rest is the fact that you can use smokeless powder. This is awesome, especially if you tape your hunts.

This video isn't all that exciting, but it gives you a good idea of how little smoke is produced

All and all I feel like the 10 ML-II can compete with any Muzzle Loader out there. This is a good product that is easy to use and shoots straight. You can't really ask for much more in a muzzle Loader. Hope this helps. Good Luck out there and be safe.

I like Knight Rifles. I know they make some nice muzzleloaders, although I haven't yet shot one of theirs myself.
I was looking at the Disk Extreme, .50 cal. As far as versatility and reliability, I don't think it gets a lot better than these.
Heres the one I have been looking at:

Let me know what you think, I'd be curious to hear what others think about it.
