Great idea for road trips, and everything can stay nice and covered up and it doesn't take up a lot of space.

I think this is the one you're looking for. It's the right size for your car - not too small that you have to empty it all the time, but not so big that garbage has time to get stinky between empties. Easily fits around your head rest, and it's leak proof, so you wont be wiping milkshake off the floor after you've thrown it away.
Easy to clean, too. Just wipe it with a sponge or wash it in warm water.

How does this work if you are the driver are you supposed to toss the trash over your shoulder and hope it makes it rather then landing on your child's lap?

this little sack is very simple, very easy to use. just sling it over the head rest and start filling it with garbage. Don't throw nasty gooey stuff in there, though, unless you plan lining it with a bag, otherwise you'll have to clean the whole thing thoroughly.The top ties shut, holding all your garbage safe and securely in. Also has a little pouch on the outside for kleenex or what have you. Nice trash bag. Love having it in my car.

It's a nicely designed little product that clips right on to the head rest or can connect under the floor mat. it works well and does help with clutter. My only complaint is that it's so small! Smaller than I expected. But it works well and I appreciate having it because my car is definitely cleaner. i just have to empty it all the time.

I have one of these. It's the small version of the popular laundry basket, and happens to work quite well for car trash. Attaches easily to your car's interior, either by the drawstring or the hook 'n loop. Does what it's supposed to...holds trash.

Get one of those large plastic cereal holders with the bigger opening lid at w-mart, kmart, etc. Buy small trash liners. line the trash can then pop lid back on with liner over the edges. It can tip over, but no spills!!!!!

Someone beat me to suggesting this one! I bought this one for my small Prius, with two kids plus their friends we create a lot of trash in my car. This one fits easily behind my console and has yet to tip over. I wish it was a little larger but that is okay. I am still waiting for new styles of car trash cans to come out, but I can assure you this is the best by far, and it works better than the others I have tried including 2 that are suggested on here the 4-liter collapsible little bag, and the Talus. I wont get into details but this one definitely blew both of them out of the water with quality and durability and with how practical it is.

My friend bought the "High Road" for me, she said my car was always dirty. I use it a bit, it fills up fast and I am not good at emptying the trash as most men probably arn't. It is definitely high quality and does not have a ridiculous design as do some of the ones suggested on here. If I was to use this correctly and empty it, it would definitely conceal my mess and make my life a lot easier.
