I thought about buying these boots for a few weeks. I hated to spend the money, but my feet could not take my old boots any more. I have to say that right out of the box these are awesome. There was little or no break in period and the weight is outstanding. They feel really natural and the quality is top notch. These seem to be really water tight and I really like how they protect my ankle.

I do have a small complaint though. I am not a huge fan of the colors. I know it is small but it would be nice if they had some other colors to chose from. Regardless, these are some of the best boot out there.

The price of these boots are worth it. Asolo's original shoes were designed for comfort and durability. I think I've walked literally 100 miles in these shoes and they are still serving me well. They also design hiking boots to serve a specific purpose... lightweight, winter, etc.

I love how light these boots are. I feel like I could go all day in these without becoming fatigued. They truly feel like sneakers compared to past boots I have had. They are waterproof and the quality is outstanding. In the summer I can easily use these 3-4 times a week, and they still look new. I feel like these boots will have no problem lasting me a few years. On the downside they took me a couple of trips to break in. Not a big deal, but you might want to double up on socks your first 3 or 4 trips. Hope this helps.

I know leather boots are on the out, but my friend let me borrow a pair of these a few weeks ago and I now have my own pair. Leather can get heavy fast, but the way these fit is worth the extra weight. The first time I put them on it felt like I had been wearing them for a year. The rugged build gives you great ankle support and on top of everything else they are very water tight. I would recommend these to anyone who prefers support over weight. You should check them out.

My wife is a big fan of Merrell's hiking boot. They have a semi stiff shank providing great stability up steep and rocky terrain. They have great traction, are water proof but breathable, and very comfortable. She actually wore these out the first day she got them and came out without blisters and nothing negative to say about them. They are great boots.
