My husband hates getting dressed up especially on a hot day but I bought him this tie and it makes him look like a million bucks with a simple white dress shirt and black jacket. He knows he looks good and smiles all night after complaining but I know he's happy with my choice because he smiles all night and keeps it on all night too. lol

Hi Mark, I understand your frustration with your wife disagreeing with your choice, but you shouldn't really wear a plain white shirt to a formal event. This is a great tie and cuff link set, all you need is a black jacket and a long sleeve white dress shirt with some black slacks. This will make you look like you have been getting ready all day and it takes a few minutes, the wife will be happy and your wallet will be happy. Good luck my friend!

I shop for my husband all the time and you cant go wrong with these sets. These gold colors I chose for my husband because this looks good in a formal setting or a business setting, so he likes that i shop for both possibilities. This really brings out the hazel in his eyes.

Us wives just love to see our men dressed up and although most men dont like to dress up, my husband and I came up with a solution in the past when we hit this discussion with each other. We compromised that If he find a nice black long sleeve dress shirt, he didn't have to wear a tie. That way it gives him the comfort-ability and he looks dressed up without being very dressed up at all. It is a very shirt so I'd say go for this, your wife will be satisfied and there will be no argument. but please, no White T shirt!

Silver is always a great evening color. I own a few different shades of silver and grey. The secret is not to look like your trying to hard to dress to impress. So throw a dress shirt and a fancy colored tie with a jacket and you should be good to go!
