This is the nicest and lightest down jacket I've ever owned. It weighs 5.7 ounces but keeps you warm when you're climbing, skiing, backpacking, etc. It's 900 goose down and packs down to nearly nothing when I stuff it in my pack. I wouldn't say it was waterproof but if there's a light rain or snowfall it brushes off easily. Seriously a great purchase and the price right now is perfect!
So far very durable. I only use it during the winter seasons. I've gone skiing, hiking, and hunting with it. It does get pretty warm sometime and need to remove the layer but it packs down really well. The quality is great. The seems hold up really well, no air leakage, and the material is tough. Even if it tore tomorrow, I'd go out and buy another one in a heartbeat. What's your plan for it?

I cannot even begin to tell you how awesome this jacket is. I'm serious. I just bought one a few DAYS ago, so it's fresh in my brain. This thing is 800 fill down. It is AMAZINGLY soft and light, yet still the warmest thing I've ever worn. It's like a sleeping bag, only it is so light I can't even describe it.... you have to touch it to understand.
i very highly suggest this down jacket. it's not terribly weather-proof so I will also be purchasing a light shell, just for rain and wind. but as far as warmth, this will be all i need.
This is a great down coat to use as a base layer, or by itself, although for wind and rain you will need to add a shell of some sort. i think it's a good idea to buy a base layer and a shell because it offers you more flexibility than just a down coat will. this way you can wear the shell or base layer on their own, too, covering you for more seasons. versatility is the name of the game if you want to save some money in the end!

Before Marmot became the outdoor power-haus it is today, it was once a small company that simply made goose down jackets and vests. It seems wise then to put your faith in the Marmot Zeus down jacket. The 800 Fill goose down is encased with down-p...
