It's a given that What To Expect When You're Expecting is one of the most popular books to read when you're having a baby but this is a really good read if you're new to parenting and want to know about all of the other stuff. My read this to me because I honestly would rather eat dirt but I'm glad she did. It was pretty humorous but very realistic. When we had our first child I had no idea what we were in for. My wife and I didn't have any time together because when she did have free time she was falling asleep. It will entertain you, it will help prepare you but most of all, it helps with those minor connections you want with your spouse.
This looks very good because there are many things that new parents do not expect and sometimes it can break the marriage if you are not strong enough. Excellent choice!

This is definitely for later in your parenting years, but this book is really amazing. It's a brand new way to parent your children. If you listen to what this book has to say, and put it in to practice. It really works! It talks about not letting your kids see you lose your temper. I gave this to my daughter who was having trouble with her son being a good listener. She said it was a completely new way of parenting, but it really works.
It's instant relief for when your 2-year-old is on the floor of the toy store, pitching a fit. Or when brother and sister discover that they can't stand each other. Or when your son can't say no to video games. THE POCKET PARENT is, literally, a p...

My sister read this book, and told me all about it. lol It gave her a lot of explanations and helped her understand her pregnancy better. She said her doctor never really gave her an information, he just checked the health but never mentioned a thing to her so she got this book and it put her at ease so she could prepare for what was to come.

Yeah, most parents to be are usually very informed and prepared for the basic things with pregnancy and the first couple months of the baby's life, but this is a little deeper then that and it's rarely brought up. I'm glad they have books on this because some people think having a baby is so easy and cute and fun and they are right....10% of the time.... but the 90% is stressful, tense, hard on the marriage, totally changes everything. You never really know anyone 100% and how they will respond to a new situation. This brings light to many subjects that should be discussed before the baby is here.
