Definitely go with this club. Awesome driver for the range.
I own this one myself... I am not a beginner but I like this club because it will take the abuse of the driving range and manages to send some remarkably straight balls. Great for practice.

Calloway makes a nice club, as I'm sure you are aware.
I'm not sure what you want to spend, but this would definitely be a great club for the driving range, and also to hit the links with.
It's a really good standard club, especially perfect for a beginner I would say.

TEC Plus 460 cc Ti Matrix Driver Men's (Right-Handed)

I definitely recommend this club man! It is an incredible deal. Awesome for a beginner because the price, and good for the seasoned golf lover because the club is pretty darn nice.
It not the best driver I've ever used, but it is pretty nice. It's balanced well and the head is huge...bigger than it looks in the picture.
Perfect for the driving range...that's what I bought it for.
I will say it took a minute to get used to it... it feels a little different than a lot of clubs I've used for some reason...maybe how it's weighted. But I can definitely hit a nice straight ball with this thing!
