Cheapish?
You might want to try MiXXX, open source, so if it doesn't support the mixtrack off the bat, it's highly probable that someone has made a extra add-on to have it work with it. I'm not sure if there's a mac download ATM, because it looks like the site is down for maintenance, but (Actually, I just looked at googles cached version, looks like there is a mac version) it should be up soon. Though once you can move out of the cheapish area, you will definitely want to move on to Traktor/Serato, as much as I love VDJ, it just doesn't have all the possibilities that those do. |

If you're going the software route, go Traktor. Professionals, who use software for DJing either use traktor or serato (with controllers) Traktor duo 2 is the cheapest. 2 decks, should be enough for you i suppose :) Mac/PC supported. Either way, Buy a good audio interface too. (either something from NI or TC electronic or M-Audio - if you want to keep your expenses down). |

While possibly not as good as Zulu, it is a great software but less expensive at the following site:

You should get Zulu... it's like $40-50 and is a really good program. It's for PC though, but you said that's not a big deal.
