What are the best wall decorations for a kids room?

I'm looking for something easy to decorate the walls in my kids room. I don't want to paint too much but was considering getting some stensills or wall decals. They seem to be the easiest. What are other people doing?

We got these for our babys room and I think its gonna be great til she's a teenager. These are very simple and relaxing to look at, very clean and fresh feeling because its like the bringing the outdoors inside!

These are the best for boy or a girl. You always want to decorate with nature type things which is neutral, also soothing for the child. These aren't stickers these, you place against wall, paint in the lines ans remove. You don't have to worry about adhesive sticking to walls, this comes out looking so professional for a lesser price. The video it comes with takes too long to watch, its pretty common sense. If you are artistic enough to attempt this, you can do it, its easy.

I bought these decals for my son. I wanted to get him something that would grow with him more but they are very inexpensive and easy to change so we went ahead and made the purchase. He gets the biggest kick out of the monkey hanging so we put it by his bed so it looks like the monkey is hanging over his head while he sleeps. They are great for changing your decorations and you can save them and reuse them another time. We have another baby on the way so maybe we'll put it in the nursery at a later time.

This is one of my favorite decal packages. It's very inexpensive and what you can create from it is just amazing and beautiful. My daughter and I did it together in her room and had such a great time. Sticking the decals on the wall was very simple but they are fragile and a couple of times I nearly ripped the flowers trying to peel them off of the backing. Just be careful. Decals are perfect because they come off the walls without effort and they don't peel the paint in the process. It makes it very easy when you want to change up the color or decorations.

I'm slowly making my own room something I want to live in. Recently we purchased our first bedroom set. The color is black and it's beautiful and large. We also put up some of my favorite photographs in black and white up making a bold statement. I liked where the theme was going so when I found these decals I thought they were perfect. You can set them up anyway you want to and if you don't like the way it's up you can take it all down and start over. It's been easy to peel them on and off and stick them to walls, furniture, and cabinets. Next room will be bathroom. I love them.

Along with the trees, you should add some cute monkeys hanging around with bananas. It is so cute and adds some splash to a boring room.

If you're willing to commit to it, chalkboard paint is endless hours of fun for my kids in their room. We committed one wall to it, and during the school year they help we write their calendar on it for each week as well (and they actually enjoy it). ;)

If your child has asthma, it may not be a good idea. The child can inhale the chalk particles that float the air and it triggers asthma, just a heads up. Its a cool idea though!

This is a neat idea that I was excited to have found. You display your photos similar to the way you would in a regular frame but instead you stick them directly to the wall. It sets off a nice look and is a lot of fun. We got some of these silver frames and some pink frames we found on Amazon.com. They are easy to stick onto the wall and to take off if you need to. Some of the sizes were complicated but we cut the pictures to fit so there may be some creativity involved. Overall a great project.

We also got these because they are diverse, for a girl or boy and we want our baby to grow loving the outdoors like we do, but they look perfect and are so easy to apply or take down and move around.

For a kids room, you really want to decorate it simple and with nature type things like birds and trees, the soft colors are always great on the babies eyes. Red and yellow is known to cause the child distress and dark colors cause depression in kids. So stick with the pastels.
