I'd have to agree with Becca, the GTX 580 is a much more proven videocard than the Kepler. If you've got the airflow to support a superclocked GTX 580, I'd go for it.
That's exactly what I'm saying. The Kepler hasn't actually been out, so you can't pragmatically prove how great it is. On paper, the Kepler may sound amazing, but so do other products that are currently out that suck in actuality.
Since it is not out, we don't know how good it "actually" is, as compared to the GTX 580.
I agree with you, Zack. While the Kepler does look impressive, we won't actually know until it comes out and is proven to be a good one. Especially if you are in a hurry to get one, (and it might not be out for a while...) go with one the already solid 580 :)
I think you would be safe to buy the GTX 580. I don't know about the Kepler but the 580 gives you great power and performance. It's pretty sweet and makes a beautiful picture.
