The HP Touchepad's 'charging port' is a standard micro-usb connector. You can buy generic ones for ultra cheap all over the Internet. They don't have to be HP branded. Search Amazon, Newegg, or eBay for 'micro-usb charger' and you'll see tons of them for around $2 to $3.
As for keeping the tablet? I would. The grass isn't always greener on the other side of things. The Touchpad is very well equipped. It has a great CPU and video processor, and plenty of RAM. I would just wait it out for Cyanogenmod to get more stable.

Honestly i have one and i love it. Reason being is because of android. I understand you want a more stable version which is completly understandable. However Dalingrin and the team over at cyanogen mod are really pushing hard to keep it updated. Let me point you to a really good up to date website.

I can always find little tweaks here an there, but if you stick with it, it will pay off in the long run!

Once your used to it, You will realize HP WebOS is amazing. Its 100% better then android. google it if you really want too. You should really keep the tablet nomatter what. You can go on google and search up WebOS Nation. There is LOADS of homebrew and free custom apps made by the community. There is also patches/tweaks to make it run faster/smoother and look better with themes, ect!

Sell it for what you can and wait until the mobile and touchpad market mellows out, new ones are coming out monthly at this point.
