Shure is always a good way to go, I would recommend this one. From what I've read it seems like a great mic in your price range. I know Shure is one of the industry leaders in microphones, so they would be a good company to consider. It does need phantom power to operate....keep that in mind!
You should check out The Woodwind and Brasswind. They are a great dealer and resource for this sort of thing. I use them all the time.
This mic would be a good budget option for you, but honestly I think the best option I see here (in your price range) is the Shure. It's definitely a good mic!
AMT makes the best clip on mics for wind instruments probably in the world. No joke. If you can find one that you can afford you should buy it, because it will be a spectacular piece of equipment!
The e908B-ew condenser instrument microphone was especially designed for saxophone and other wind instruments. It ships without a preamp but is evolution wireless-ready with a 3.5mm locking ew mini plug.

I would check out Shure or Sennheiser. They make good microphones for just about everything.
I think you will need to spend more than $250 to get a good mic and a transmitter/receiver.
You should look into the Sennhieser receiver to go with it, but that will be a couple hundred more dollars. You really don't want to go with a crappy mic because it will crap out on you in when you need it most! Like in the middle of a performance.
These things are expensive :(
I think this has been discontinued, but it's seriously a fantastic wireless microphone...I would recommend going through this company if you can. They created the first wireless system that doesn't require a body pack, so you clip it onto your horn and it transmits directly from the clip.
This is the transmitter that a lot of big names use... look into it for sure.
this one seems great, and I was thinking this would be my best bet. then I found out that there is only one channel!
this might be an issue if I'm playing with other people with the same mic, or really any if there are any other wireless devices on stage. I don't know if this is something that would ruin the mic's usefulness or not, but it kind of discourages me from wanting it!
