I currently have a HTC Inspire on AT&T and am looking to upgrade, what would you suggest under $250?

I don't like iOS so please, don't say iPhone. For now I'm stuck on AT&T so please only phones that would work on that service. I'd rather not have a phone that's only "good" after rooting, but if there are real benefits I'll do advanced things to the phone. Thanks!

One of my friends actually upgraded from the Inspire to the Blackberry Torch a few days ago; apparently nearly every aspect of the Torch is MUCH better than the Inspire.

Check out #2 on this list... great phones, as long as you like the blackberry format.
Kind of expensive though... slightly over budget :(

I would definitely look into this phone. It has won several awards and offers performance for the price. I have this phone and can say I wouldn't want any other phone. Decent battery life, great CPU, 8 mp camera and a whole lot more with this phone. Check into it for sure.

If you don't use a ton of apps I would suggest the HTC Titan(WP7). If you want to stay with Android I would highly recommend the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket.

Blackberry is a dying ecosystem, especially in the consumer sector, the Torch is a bad move.
