Looking for something simmilar to WoW but i havent actually played WoW for any length of time so im open to suggestions.
Ive heard guild wars is good and i wouldnt mind the one time fee but monthly fees are a no no :)

Guild Wars is an amazing game. You must first purchase the game before playing, but there is no monthly fee. There are 3 campaigns that can be purchased as add-ons that give access to new characters, locations, storys, etc. and with GW2 being released this year it's a great game to prepare you for the next. That is, if you like it and want to purchase Guild Wars 2 as well upon release.

I played this about 8 years ago, it was quite entertaining. They might have improved it more now. Players can pursue careers as warriors just go adventuring, traders that travel in caravans across the world to other cities trading commodities, or thieves raiding the aforementioned caravans. You can either start in the European area or the Chinese area and make your way across to the other land.

Nexon | The Best in Free-to-Play Online Games

try Dragon Nest and Vindictus. Vindictus is more combat-based, with little to do outside dungeons, but Dragon nest is a bit more town based. Also try Mabinogi. All accessible from Nexon.net.

APB was recently re-released under a new company. It's a F2P shooter with microtransactions and a subscribtion-based model. I think you can download it for free off their website. It's a great looking game with an awesome character customization system. Best I've seen in any MMO.
