I would suggest the Toyota Avalon. My mother in law has it and with my two kids there is plenty of room in the back for their two car seats and I still fit in the middle. There is also a ton of leg room so my 6 plus foot husband fits very well and comfortably in the back too. The trunk space is amazing, room for all of your baby needs as well as groceries and the like. The seats are super comfortable and of course with all the space there is plenty of room to grow with your family. I love that car and as soon as one of my kids is out of their car seat (I'm on number 3) I'm going to get rid of my expedition and get the Avalon. The room will be perfect for our family and the gas mileage is great!
I have to go ahead and suggest the good old Toyota Camry. I have two boys, 11 and 15, both of whom are tall for their age, and there is plenty of room for all of us. The interior is quite spacious and so is the trunk. It's actually quite a large car. The gas mileage is amazing and it is an absolute pleasure to drive... super easy shifting (mine is a manual) it basically drives itself.
I am very pleased with my Camry, even after 4 years of use. I never have mechanical problems....this thing will last me until I'm 90. The bumper gets beat rather easily. That is my only complaint about the car.
Toyotas rock!!
You know, my wife and I shopped for a car when we had our first child but we came to realize that we'd end up needing a larger vehicle because of carrying the stroller, the car seat, the walker, blankets, diaper bag, and groceries. You just always want to be prepared as a parent but space is always needed when it comes to a child. We then had our 2nd child 2 years later then our 3rd soon after. We are so glad we chose our Dodge Chrysler caravan. It holds everything we need and there's still space.
I have one kid but am separated so it is just the two of us usually in the car together. I really like the Honda Fit. Great gas mileage and lots of storage room.
