This one looks like a great option. LED backlit with HDTV and high def resolution. The picture is very clear and offers sharp detail. The design is very nice looking and I love the ambient lighting. You can connect to the Internet by WiFi or Ethernet and the offered apps are plentiful including Amazon Instant, Netflix, VUDU, yahoo, etc. You can also stream movies, TV shows, listen to music, and check out the stats for sports and weather. It's a great deal.

Vizio M221NV

I agree that Vizio is the way to go in this price range. The netflix and Vizio apps are cool and work great. The TV is nice and thin so it will fit just about anywhere. The picture and sound exceeded my expectations for the price range. Check out the specs:

I think this Vizio would be something to consider. Some very nice stuff going on here at a nice low price. It's in your price range, in your size range, and has built in wifi. It even has 1080p resolution with LED backlighting.
For internet, this Vizio comes pre-loaded with Amazon Instant Video, Flickr, Netflix, Rhapsody, Twitter, VUDU and Yahoo TV. In addition you will be able to get apps like NBD, ABC, Roxio Cinema and more. Vizio makes a great television, and at this price point I think this would be an excellent choice.

Its right at your price point so depending on how much wiggle room you have this is a great TV. Lots of inputs for anything you want to hook it up to, 2 HDMI, 1 Component Video (Y/PB/PR), and 1 PC Input so you can easily use this it for a monitor or general TV. Keep in mind at 60hz it may wont have very good refresh rate for pc games.
