Alexis you might want to try something like this that draws less wattage. I think that would be your main concern with finding an energy efficient microwave.
It's pretty small and only draws 700 watts.... you won't find anything less than that really.
Additionally, it has a nice design and is attractive and sleek.
Great for small apartments or dorm rooms.

This one is actually sold as an 'easy clean' microwave. I guess what makes it easy to clean is that the shape of the inside is rounded with no hard edges, so pretty much you can just wipe it all out, no hassle. I like the sond of that!
Also, it looks like a very nice microwave in general. Definitely worthy of your consideration.

This is a good medium duty shredder. Certainly capable of keeping up with the needs of a small business. 7 feet per minute is pretty darn good.
It's gonna be quite and well built, should last a while.
It's funny that micro cut is security level four.... sounds so serious.
Good shredder though! lot's of good reviews.

Hey Ryan,
Fellowes is certainly a trusted name in this business. This is a great shredder in your price range. These are built real solid and it will be a total workhorse for you... able to cut 10 sheets per pass, CD's, creditcards, staples. Maximum run time is 4-5 minutes, in which time you can get plenty of shredding done. It is a cross cut style shredder. Only neg is that it's a little on the loud side.

These are amazing and I think people will agree with me. Extremely fast laser tracking, comfortable in your hand, programmable buttons, and it just feels solid and good in your hand. Can't get a whole lot better than this.

Great gaming keyboard... Mac compatible... pick your own backlight color.... 12 fully programmable G-keys with three macros each.... all good stuff here!
I would expect nothing less from Logitech though. Nice feel, great action. This is a good choice for you.

I think this is going to be an excellent one for you. Has mechanical gold plated switches for durability and fast response.... also amazing anti-ghosting abilities.
Reviewers say it is built like a tank and also has a really nice touch and great action.
Having mechanical switches means it will be loud but the response and feel will be unrivaled.

Slam... this is perfect for you. Small, reasonably priced, monochrome laser printer. HP makes good stuff. Prints wirelessly, and up to 19 pages per minute. It's one of the most space efficient laser printers I have seen, which for home use is a huge plus.
Both PC and Mac compatible. They say you'll get about 1,600 pages with your toner refill. DANG that's a lot.
This is a very economical way to print large quantities from home, and with minimal effort.

These have a ton of bass. I was actually thinking about suggesting some Sennheisers, which are generally some of my favorite headphones, but I have found that Klipsch generally offers better bass response. These are a very reasonable price, too.
It's like they offer a solid bass presence without being overwhelming and without detracting from the high and mid range frequencies.

These are very nice headphones.
Very very nice.
They have some huge 40mm drivers for big, clear sound. Lots of padding, lots of comfort.
They ahve been around for a long time, and really are some of the best, clearest sounding 'phones around. Definitely among the top choices for this category.

If I were you I would consider this here Panasonic. It has a real nice Leica Lens (wide angle) and is just a real nice camera. Other features include optical image stabilizer, iA Mode (so you can just aim at your subject and shoot), 16.1 megapixel images (so you can blow up your pics pretty big without losing image integrity), face detection, and many, many more. Also loaded with good reviews, which is uber important!

Don't know if this is too much, but this will be a spectacular monitor for editing... obviously it's catering to the pro side of photo editing, what with the S-IPS technology. Colors will be simply amazing, and they should be for this price.
Very impressive specs, including 4.1 million pixels, 1.07 billion displayable colors, 2560 x 1600 resolution. Won't get a lot better than this.

I find that I take really good care of earbuds for some reason, especially if they come with a protective carry case as these do. Earbuds have less going on... less breakable parts, that's probably why I find them easier to take care of.
Anyways, especially in terms of sound quality, your boyfriend will love these. Obviously they are from a well respected audio brand, too.

So excited about this upcoming release..... these are some of my favorite games. Been waiting for this one.
I probably won't be getting this collector's edition, because wow that seems like kind of a rip off, but excited to play the game nonetheless.

You should just browse until you find something that looks interesting... browse by price or game type if you want. Minecraft is really fun, as is Team Fortres 2, which is free.

If you go slightly over budget you can get these from a company that makes some of the highest quality headphones around.
Like Josh said, most earbuds these days come with swappable earpads (for people like you with tiny ears!) so you will be able to find a size that fits right. These are good good good.

I would think for work you would want something very lightweight and comfortable since you will probably be wearing it for long periods of time.
This headset from plantronics should do the trick. You won't even hardly feel it on your head.
USB powered, inline controls, and a very slight design. Perfect for the office.

Check these out. I think they are what you are looking for.
I was also going to suggest some noise canceling earbuds from Klipsh (a good audio company) but they come with a pretty large battery pack that enables the noise canceling, and you said you like "small and unobtrusive", so they didn't seem like a good choice.
These do though. They have passive noise canceling, more like noise isolating qualities.... this means they physically block noise from coming in, as opposed to creating frequencies that cancel out external noises. From reviews they do a really great job at blocking outside noise. Also, they seem to have fantastic sound quality.
I trust Logitech to make an excellent earbud. They do a good job around the board making accessories that are affordable and functional.

With that budget I think yo could pick up an iPhone... I only recommend it because I have one and it's amazing. As far as being a phone, I always have service and my phone calls are always clear (incoming and outgoing).
As far as apps and stuff it really couldn't be easier to navigate, and there are so many apps to choose from it's ridiculous. There really is an app for everything. That is why I chose it over a droid phone. Smart phones are app based products, so you really ought to buy the one that has the best app community, if you want to get the most out of it.

i guess you're looking for something with good low-light and maybe a flash. this would be a good way to go. it has a great processer and pretty high ISO settings and is pretty good at low-light shooting for a point and click. in fact low light shooting is one of its highlights.

This is a tough one... it's so easy to find what's wrong with a game, but more difficult to decide what you really like.
For me story line is definitely important. So is the excitement of not knowing what's coming next, as well as progressing and getting better. A good game leaves you feeling content but wanting more.

I think this TV is PERFECT for you. Passive 3d (they call it natural 3d), 47", and just under $1000.
I don't know how this is so inexpensive, to be honest. It has 1080p resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate, AND it has built-in wifi. It also TriVector 2D to 3D conversion for tv shows and stuff that aren't in 3d.
Seems great, in fact I want one too.

I'm a fan of Microsoft's sidewinder. It has backlit keys and a host of other features that make it uber cool. Features like:
Switchable keypad-put it on the right or left side
Mode Switching-Manually toggle the keyboard from standard mode to either of two gaming modes.
The WASD gaming keys have front facing lighting for enhanced visibility.
Two-color adjustable backlighting
Loads of customization options for work and play
It has more features, too. You should look at the link and see for yourself!

Yes, this can be tricky! I think you would be happiest with an LCD screen. I like this Samsung for your purposes. It's a great television, nice size, 1080p, 120Hz. Its matte screen works very well in brightly lit rooms. The LED backlighting is good for this, too.
To help with this problem, you will want a very clear, vibrant picture. This thing totally delivers on that front, too. Perfect for ya... check into it.

I see this thing a lot on this website! But that is because it truly is a great tablet, maybe the best one available right now. I think it's great for business use because it has the optional keyboard dock. A keyboard makes a tablet way more functional.
The nice clear high res screen will make working on presentations, making appointments, sending emails and doing whatever your business needs entail, easy and enjoyable. The screen is rather large, too, which helps with your detailed work.
It's really fast and powerful... but you don't have to take my word for it!! Check out the link for some good reviews and all the specs, so you can familiarize yourself with it.

I would look into this one. Looks like it offers some good protection and padding while not getting in the way...everything is still completely accessible even when the case is on. You can also stand it up to view movies and stuff. AND it looks very very nice!

Qosmio would be a good way to go. This thing is sort of a beast... definitely a desktop replacement type computer. It will handle some serious gaming needs.
Besides its good looks, it has a lot going on inside, too (that's what people say about me!) From its large 17 inch display to its full 1TB hard drive to its 8GB DDR3 and i7 processor (up to 3.1 GHz with turbo boost) it is very capable. Should be able to run just about anything on high settings. Oh and it has NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics.
You'll be in good hands with this Toshiba. happy gaming!

Totes agree with what Mal said. This sort of thing can be done on any good system. It's up to you to decide what you're more comfortable on, Mac or PC. Both can deliver the exact same high quality material, so it's really up to you and what software you are comfortable with, as well as what operating system you like.
I actually happen to be a Mac user, and I edit music on Pro Tools 9. It runs perfectly on my Macbook, so Mal's suggestion is a good one if you prefer Pro Tools.... although it will work on certain PC's as well (not this one though, I don't think). Equally great programs exist for Windows like Cubase, Adobe Audition and Reason.... just make sure you are using the newest version.
So yeah deciding whether you want Mac or PC is probably the first step, then you can decide on the software.
This will be a very suitable computer for your needs though. It has the stuff you need inside (2.2 GHz Intel i7 processor, 8 GB DIMM, 750 GB 7hard drive.
Good luck and happy editing!

The answer is yes! You can. This one I have found is slightly over your budget, but if you can swing it you will be very happy.
You certainly don't need a Mac for music production. They are preferable to a lot of people because they are generally more stable and predictable than PC's, but a PC with the right specs will be wonderful for audio editing.
Take this Toshiba, for example. It has a lot going on inside...
2.4 GHz Intel i5 processor, up to 3 with turbo boost
6 GB SDRAM, which is upgradable to 8
640 GB 5400 rpm serial hard drive
It's going to be fast and powerful, and most of all affordable! If you use something like Pro Tools 9, you have easily passed the minimum system requirements. The only thing you don't really have is a solid, dedicated graphics card (you will have Intel HD Graphics with 64 MB - 1696 MB dynamically allocated shared memory) but it should suffice. If I can run Pro Tools 9 on my 3 year old Macbook you can def run it on this!

You can get a fairly powerful laptop these days for under $650. This Acer would be a good choice for you, as an all around high performing machine. It looks great and has the Acer name attached to it, which is a good thing :)
If you wanna know what's going on inside, here's a little taste: 500GB hard drive, 4GB DDR3 memory, Intel i5 processor, HDMI and USB connectivity, 15.6 inch LED backlit display with 1366 x 768 resolution.
Lots of nice stuff going on here, and at a very reasonable price!
