I am looking for an upright vacuum that is great for hardwood floors, anything under $150?
Shark Navigator Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner, NV22L
Hi! What about this one. Looks really good, Shark makes a great corded vacuum (their cordless ones can be a bit weak). It should be wonderful for hardwood. Rubberized wheels won't scratch 'em.
Plenty of sucking power and attachments and stuff.... I think it's a good choice for you.

Best upright vacuum for pet hair under $500?
Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Well this is a very expensive vacuum but in the long run I think it will pay for itself. It is going to last for a very long time and really do an amazing job on your floors.
Don't know if you've ever used a Dyson Ball, but they actually are kind of fun! The swivel thing is pretty cool.
It's not marketed as a "pet hair vacuum" or anything, but I can pretty much guarantee it will do an amazing job with hair and other dirt. It has "cyclone technology" which is supposed to help keep a consistently strong suction without clogging.
It is designed for basically all floor types and even comes with a HEPA filter. I would definitely consider this if you have the budget!

What do you think is the most ergonomic mouse?
  Ergonomic Handshoe Mouse Right Wireless
I read somewhere online that this is the best rated ergo mouse available right now... lots of science and stuff helped them determine the best angles and shape to provide the best, least stressful mouse experience. Made in the Netherlands, so it's got that foreign engineering... haha.
Wireless, right handed, expensive but probably worth it!

What's the best 40-44 inch TV that is 3D capable?
  Panasonic VIERA TC-P42GT25 42-inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV, Black
If it were me I would probably go for Viera by Panasonic. A beautiful plasma display with 3d and full HD. It's gonna have a really crisp image and deep dark blacks. It's crazy, for the 3d to work it actually sends a separate 1920 x 1080 full-HD image to each eyeball, and of course you need the glasses to interpret the image. Glasses are a little pricey, but worth it if you want that 3d experience. This is going to be a fantastic TV. Viera has been a very successful model for Panasonic, and is definitely a good way to go.

I need a TV that is light and portable... any ideas under $500?
  Samsung UN19D4000 19-Inch 720p 60Hz LED HDTV (Black)
I would say just to go for the smallest, thinnest one you can. This is one of the slimmest TV's around so it should be a great choice for you. The physical dimensions are: 1.2 x 17.9 x 11.2 inches ; 7.5 pounds. Very small, and 7.5 pounds is very light. Sounds like a winner.

What laptop has the best battery life?
  Lenovo Thinkpad T420 4178-6VU
This is a very nice laptop that is supposed to get excellent battery life... I think I saw it reviewed on CNET last year as one of the best laptops for battery life. It should realistically give you about 7 or 8 hours of use, and that's with heavy use. That is pretty incredible.
And it's not just great for battery life... also has nice performance specs: 2.50GHz Intel Core i5-2520M Processor, 500 GB Hard Drive, 4 GB DDR3 RAM.
It's a very capable little machine that'll keep on truckin for you!

Best 40+ inch monitor for photoshop?
  HP ZR30w
Definitely having a tough time with this one. I don't think you're going to find a great monitor for photoshop at that size and price. I think for photoshop quality is going to be more important than size, as color accuracy is going to be one of your main concerns. An IPS screen would be the best for color reproduction, but a 40 inch is going to be very expensive. So, if you don't mind a downgrade in size, check out this IPS display from HP. This thing gets awesome reviews for it's vibrant color display and will be great for your photoshop purposes.

Are there any good DLP projectors under $500?

This is an excellent budget DLP. Has 120Hz refresh rate and is 3D ready... also is a solid 2700 ANSI Lumens. This will be good for a home theater set up and would also work for office presentations and the like.
From about 25 feet you will get a bright 8' wide image, quite clear actually. Easy to use, too. You will be able to set the thing up and be up and running very soon after receiving the product. Definitely a fantastic choice in the price range.

  Klipsch Image X10i
These are some of the smallest and lightest headphones on the market right now. I think they are about as discrete as you can get, with the exception of if you found something with a complete clear wire. Klipsch is a very well regarded company in the headphone department, and unfortunately along with excellent sound quality and comfort will come a rather steep price tag.
These happen to be a headset, too, for use with your smartphone (if you have one).

What would be a good Telephoto Zoom Lens for my Canon DSLR Camera under $250?
Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon Digi...
This is my vote. A great zoom lens from Canon. I think Image Stabilization is certainly important if you are going hand held and trying to take dramatic shots that may require slower shutter speeds or what have you. This lens has IS and it can be turned off whenever, to save battery.
As far as optics I don't really need to vouch for Canon... you will get sharp pictures that are high quality.
One thing to be noted is that focusing can be a bit slow in low light conditions... so keep in mind what you are trying to take picture of before committing to anything.

What are the best clearest sounding and noise canceling earbuds?
  Audio-Technica ATH ANC23
You should consider these, Steve, they are one of the better sets of noise canceling earbuds, though not perfect. Mostly because of size it is difficult to make a true nose canceling earbud, because the technology doesn't fit into the 'bud' very well.
However, these seem to do the job quite well, and apparently cancel up to 85% of outside noise. There are little mics in each of the buds, each of which send a signal to the inline control box, which houses the electronics. It creates a frequency exactly opposite of the one the mics are picking up, essentially canceling it out. Pretty cool. The should do the trick.

Which tablet offers the very best user experience?
  Kindle Fire
I guess it totally depends on what you want to do with it.
My suggestion of Kindle Fire might seem like a stretch, but as far as being simple to use and a very enjoyable experience, it's right at the top of my list.
I think Kindle Fire was designed to be exactly what you are asking for. It doesn't have a huge display or a bunch of power, but it has a wonderfully simple interface and is simply a lot of fun to play with... it's also very capable of consuming almost unlimited internet content.
With Fire you get access to literally millions of books, magazines, movies, games, and even email. It's all fun, no hassel, and at an unbeatable price. If you have ever held one you know what I am talking about. It's not all about business, it's all about entertainment.

It is a high sensitivity unit, so it should get a signal just about anywhere. It keeps track of routes, tracks and waypoints, so you shouldn't have a problem not getting lost!

Enthusiast looking for a mirrorless camera under $1000?
Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 12.1MP Micro Four-Thirds Interchangeable Le...
Hi Jenna I would suggest this gem by Panasonic. I have been attracted to this camera for a while now, and was considering purchasing one myself at one point.
If you're asking about a mirrorless camera you probably already know a bit about them. They are great because they take dSLR quality photos but are much smaller and more portable.
One of the best things about this one in particular is the lens it comes with. The 20mm 1.7 is a great lens and takes sharp and FASt pictures.
It has plenty of dSLR style features like HD video, scene detection, soft focus of peripheral defocus mode, exposure meter, etc (way more on the link!).
The only thing that is not quite up to par might be low light shooting. Good dSLR's succeed at getting very high quality, low noise shots. This does okay in low light, and image quality will be excellent up to about ISO 200, then clarity suffers a little bit. If you want to do a lot of low light shooting I would say look into a dSLR, especially at this price range. However, if portability is more important, this is an excellent choice. Very capable camera right here, leading the way for 4/3 cameras.

What's the best digital camera for twelve-year-old? I don't want to spend more than $300.
  Nikon COOLPIX P300 12.2 CMOS Digital Camera with 4.2x f/1.8 NIKKOR ...
I'm thinking something like this would be perfect. It has automatic scene selection in which the camera finds the best settings for the environment you are shooting in. This is an excellent feature for the beginner, young photographer. Then, as he/she gets more comfortable, they can switch to manual controls, where one has full control of shutter, aperture, and exposure, for a more custom shooting experience.
It has some fun features that a 12 year old might appreciate, like painting, fisheye, miniature, and cross screen effects, as well as high contrast monochrome. It can also record video in full HD.

I would check out Canon's Powershot, Kollette. It's really small and will totally fit in your purse, or even a pocket. It also takes fantastic pictures, and is even decent in low light (like in a club or bar or whatever.) It has auto scene modes, so all you have to do is pick the scene that best describes what you're doing and the camera will set itself up for optimal shooting.
My favorite part is that it can shoot full HD 1080p video, so you can catch all your friends doing their favorite dance moves. Definitely look into this camera.

Is there any way to increase ram on a MacBook Air?
Unfortunately the answer is no, there is no way to upgrade RAM on the Air. The RAM is soldered to the motherboard, and is therefor non-upgradeable. What is the best tablet for kids under $350?
  Kindle Fire
I really think a Fire would be the best way to go for kids.... pretty much regardless of their age.
To start, it's only $199 which is a screaming deal. Compared to other tablets at the same price it sort of blows them out of the water, with its 7" touchscreen and excellent resolution.
Of course the main attraction of the Fire is all the online content you will have access to. Millions (literally millions) of books, magazines, songs, movies, TV shows, apps and games, along with full internet access and email.
It's really an entertainment powerhouse. That being said, you won't be able to create much content on it, as it is designed more for consumption than any thing else.

best dslr camera for street life under $700?
Canon EOS Rebel T2i 18 MP CMOS APS-C Digital SLR Camera with 3.0-In...
I guess I am not entirely sure what you mean by the question, but I am going to take it as you want to capture moments of people as they experience "street life," so maybe something that is good for portraits? And definitely something that excels at low light. Other than that, I don't really know what features you are looking for.
But for portraits and photos of people in general, this camera excels. It has portrait mode, which is a very useful tool, and will set up the camera perfectly for shots of people. It's one of the most used settings on the camera (according to Canon) and is developed to capture excellent shots of your subject.
For low light this thing is fantastic. It has an excellent DIGIC 4 processor and high ISO of 100-6400 (expandable to 12800) so low light shooting will be a breeze.
other than that, it's just a great camera and you should look into it for sure!

what is the best tablet under $400.00?
  Toshiba Thrive AT105-T1016
This is supposed to be a pretty nice tablet... It's over your budget by $5 I hope that's okay! They're easy to use, pretty fast, nice big screen and a smooth interface. Android has a decent app community, although definitely not as big as apple.
The only drawbacks I really see with Thrive is that it's a bit bulkier than I would think... like just a little thicker and heavier than an iPad. And the other thing worth mentioning is that the display is not quite as sharp as some tablets, although it's not bad.
But I think in general this is a great tablet worthy of your consideration!

What is the best 55 inches and up TV under $2000?
  Panasonic VIERA TC-P60GT30
Prices right at $2000 is this massive plasma screen from Panasonic. I think you will be more than happy with this thing.
It's a great looking unit from the get-go. It's internet ready and 3D capable, but for both of these functions you will need some extra equipment (like a wireless adapter for internet and a source that can read 3D content, like 3D Blue ray or a subscription to a 3D cable channel.)
Boasting a 600Hz refresh rate, your sports and gaming will look excellent.
I always think it's a good idea to go with a well known brand when it comes to a big investment like this, and I think you will be in good hands with Panasonic!

What is the best 55 inches and up TV under $2500?
  Samsung PN59D8000
I've been waiting to recommend this TV! This is a sweet TV man, it's got everything. From its big 59 inch screen to its 25,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (wow) and 1080p display. It even has a 600Hz refresh rate.... that's so fast!
It will do full 3D viewing, but it also has a cool feature where it will turn your 2D images into a 3D-like experience. Haven't tried it, but what a cool feature this would be for sports and stuff. Ofcourse, to watch in 3D you will need a device that can read 3D content, such as a cable box with a subscription to a 3D channel, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player, or a PlayStation 3.
It is internet ready, but you will have to buy a wireless adapter. Internet will give you access to unlimited movies, and also social sites like Facebook.
Very nice TV set...check it.

What is the best TV for watching movies under $1000?
  LG Cinema Screen 47LM6700
You can find this for at or around $1000 depending on where you look, and I think it's a perfect choice for movie viewing.
There are a lot of cool features about this TV that make it great for movie watching. One such feature is the picture quality... probably the most important one. Picture will be sharp, vivid, brilliant, all those adjectives that mean it will be awesome! It has a full HD 1080p display and a quick 120Hz refresh rate. I like like LCD, personally, over plasma that is. I think overall it provides a better viewing experience.
I would say the size is right, too. Some people are hell bent in getting a HUUUGE TV but I think 46" is big enough for most people! Too much more than that is bordering on unnecessary. I'm sure some people would totally disagree with me on that! But that's just my opinion. Also, I live in an apartment, so a lot of my reasoning is I just don't have the right room dimensions for a huge TV.
You're also going t get some other features that will enhance your movie viewing experience... things like 3D! This IS a 3D TV, and it even comes with 4 pairs of 3D glasses, so you'll be ready to start watching right away. Also, it has internet, so you have access to like every movie ever. Happy
movie-ing!

What is the best underwater camera for saltwater under $150?
Nikon COOLPIX AW100 16 MP CMOS Waterproof Digital Camera with GPS a...
This is the best I can find that's actually waterproof. Unfortunately it's going to run you about $250. But it won't leak! Really tough to find a camera for $150 that both claims to be waterproof and IS waterproof!
This should get the job done, plus it has a 6 MP CMOS sensor that should help with those low-light underwater situations.
Actually, it's going to be good for all of your adventure needs, as it's shock proof, freeze proof (down to 14 degrees F), and waterproof up to 33 feet.
This would be an ideal camera for our trip, so I would suggest saving up the extra $100! You want those pics to turn out well. It would suck to be there with a camera that can't keep up with you and your adventures!

What is the best camera that fits in a jacket pocket under $500?
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 10.1 MP Digital Camera with 3.8x Optical Im...
This is one of the best I have seen at this price range. Man, it seems across the board there are a lot of durability problems with this type of camera at this price range.... I mean from Canon to Nikon to Sony... Panasonic, too. I think these companies are trying to pack the most possible technology into these things, and to keep the cost down they compromise structural integrity! I guess this Panasonic has some durability problems, but from reviews it seems much more solid than, say, Canon's ELPH or Nikon Coolpix. I think durability is very important if you plan on keeping it in your pocket because that means you won't be using a case.
This thing will fit in your pocket no problem and take some great pictures and HD video. I am guessing you want a camera that can take quick pics at a moments notice, since you are keeping it in your pocket. At 10.1megapixels (CCD) you will get some beautiful shots without overwhelming your memory card, and your f2.0 lens (basically how fast your lens is) will be , well, very fast! Also, the newly developed Venus Engine FHD image processor enables higher-speed, higher-performance shots. This camera will also be awesome for wide angle shooting, with its 24mm lens.
This is a good all around camera in your price range. Definitely worth a look!

What is the best gaming mouse under $50?
  Razer Deathadder
I like this mouse and to me it's really comfortable. However, when my boyfriend uses it he doesn't really like how it feels. And I have figured out why. He holds the mouse kind of like a claw hand, with just his finger tips around the sides. I, on the other hand, rest my whole palm on it. Well, the top is sort of a soft matte type finish and the sides are slick. So it's comfortable for my palm to rest on, but the sides are too slick for him to hold it comfortably.
Besides that observation, I think it's a good mouse. It's accurate and fast. Recommended!

This one looks ridiculous, I know, but it works really well! I promise! It looks cheap and resembles a kid's toy, but I assure you, it's a quality peeler. I can effortlessly remove my apple peels in no time because of the design...the sideways blade covers way more surface area than your normal peeler, so it literally takes a fraction of the time as a traditional peeler.
Doesn't look like much, but this thing really gets the job done. If you don't mind its silly looks you will be pleasantly surprised by its peeling ability!

What is the best on-the-faucet type water purifier under $50?

In general, I love this filter.
I used to have a Brita refillable one, but honestly I hate having to fill it up all the time. Call me lazy, I don't care....... I just wanted something else!
This works well, and my only complaint is, yes, it does leak a little bit. Getting a tight seal is a bit difficult, but I think you will find similar results with lots of these products.
It is possible to get a good seal, but you must be determined.
Other than that, the water is definitely filtered and clean tasting, better than what comes out of the faucet!

What are the best products to cure acne?
Exposed Acne Treatment - Get Clear Skin in 30 days or less, Guarant...
Have you heard of Exposed Skincare? They are now among the top rated acne treatments. Their treatments contain ingredients that are apparently better than the prescription grade BPO with clindamycin.
Exposed Skincare uses salicylic acid to unclog your pores and benzoyl peroxide to kills acne bacteria, among other ingredients to keep your skin soft and healthy. It is gentle yet effective, and surprisingly well priced.
I think it's better than pro-active, personally. You should check it out! They also offer some sort of guarantee, so they totally believe in their own product. So do I!

What is the best label printer for usps?
DYMO LabelWriter 450 Turbo High-Speed Postage and Label Printer for...
Dymo label writers are awesome. They are easy to figure out, and they print high quality labels, fast. The software included is pretty easy to use (at first it takes a minute to figure it out though), and you can just print from your Paypal account. I have read that it doesn't work with macs unless you pay a monthly subscription.... I don't know if that's true or not but you should look into it if you have a mac, because that would be lame.
But the printer itself is very nice and I love being able to print postage from home!

What is the best wireless keyboard for ipad2?
  Verbatim 97537
To me iPad is all about portability. That's why we use 'em and love 'em, right?
So that's why I bought this keyboard, and why I am suggesting it to you. It is actually quite a nice keyboard, despite it's small size and ability to fold up. The fold up feature is nice, but is also one of the things that is difficult to get used to. It folds down the middle of the keyboard, splitting it almost in half. However, the split is to the left of the 'B' key, offsetting the whole keyboard from center. It has a normal keyboard layout, but the off center split is a bit off-putting at first. Takes some getting used to...then it's fine.
The key action is quite good for such a small device... the keys spring back up nicely, and it feels more or less like a 'real' keyboard. It's also very easy to connect to your iPad, a matter of seconds really.
The fact that it is so portable is really awesome, and makes me think it's worth the funky split.
When it's folded in half it's only like an inch thick. Perfect for airplane travel.
Good keyboard! I would recommend it to a friend!

Kroo 11273 Cube Case for 10-Inch Portable Laptop (Black)
I would say that for travel you're gonna want at least a semi-rigid case like this. Protect that computer!
I guess it's not entirely crush-proof, but it is pretty tough and certainly offers more protection that neoprene.

Evriholder HR-MS Hi-Reach Cleaning Kit with 8' Extension Pole
This is a nice little kit! It comes with a variety of cleaning attachments and a telescoping pole. I like the fan cleaner because it cleans the top side too, which is the most important part.
On the flip side, the materials aren't super high quality.... you know, you get what you pay for. My squeegie ripped a little bit...other than that everything is working fine. Just don't be too rough with it.

HP TouchSmart 320-1030 Desktop Computer - Black
Well if I were to get an HP I would definitely get this thing - I think it's awesome. I really want one... I've got an ailing macbook and am seriously considering switching to a desktop, and this one looks so cool.
I love the idea of a touchscreen desktop. I also like that there is no tower.... the computer IS the monitor. Wow technology is cool.
This computer would be great for casual, everyday use. I don't think it's meant for mega computing situations or like heavy gaming or anything, but I'm not into that stuff.
Check into it... I think this would be a great purchase.

What is the best 3 wheeled stroller?
Bumbleride 2011 Indie 3 Wheel All Terrain Stroller with 12" Wheels,...
I should mention right away that this stroller does not fold up, so if space is an issue you may want to consider something else. For me it is not an issue, and I love my bumbleride.
It has a nicely designed, easy to use seat with quick, STURDY buckles. The seat doesn't turn around, which is my only gripe.
The handles are adjustable to multiple heights. It is great for walking (or jogging) because the inflatable tires provide excellent cushioning. I would never buy rubber tires again.
The ride is very smooth. It's well built...all around a good stroller. I'm sure you'll like it!

Thinking about getting a mac mini... any feedback on the product?
I think the Mini is pretty cool, but only if you already have all the other components that you need...keyboard, monitor, etc. Otherwise, buying all that stuff is going to make this computer as expensive as just buying a laptop or a desktop!
I do like the portability, but keep in mind you're still going to need a monitor to use it wherever you go. If you want to be truly portable, go with a laptop!
If you want to save space on you desk, this is definitely a good buy.

I don't have a lot to say about it, other than it provides some decent portable speakers at a decent price. Not super loud, but that is to be expected.

What is the best dry shampoo?
Tresemme fresh start dry hair shampoo perfect for color-treated hai...
Okay, this didn't get the best reviews on Amazon, but I truly believe that is because people don't understand what it does or how to use it. It's not going to make your hair clean and fresh - obviously! Only washing it for real will do that.
What it does is the powder in it absorbs the oil in your hair. It doesn't eliminate it because you're not washing it...so your hair won't LOOK greasy but it also won't feel all the way clean.
It will allow you to restyle without washing, and will even add al little volume.
I think it's awesome! I use it all the time.

Bt I read my iPad out on my deck in the morning and it works pretty well, as long as the screen is clean. It works PRETTY well, although there definitely is some glare and it's way better inside.

It also has 5 customizable 'my favorite' keys which can be helpful.

What is a good digital camera with some advance features under $250?
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 12.1 MP Rugged/Waterproof Digital Camera wi...
Here is another option for you to consider, Barb. While the Canon and Nikon here are both fantastic cameras, this one takes very nice pictures as well and offers some different features.
I am very much an amateur photographer, but I do appreciate good photographs, and I especially love taking outdoors photos... I also do a lot of traveling. This rugged, waterproof camera was the obvious choice for me. I wanted high quality photos and a rugged build, and this camera delivers. (underwater pics are sweeeeeeet)
As far as advanced features, it does have some, although maybe not as many as the canon or nikon. It can do some cool things though, like 3D mode, in which it will take 20 consecutive pics, overlay the 2 best, and create a 3D image that can be viewed on a 3D TV.
It's got optical zoom up to 4.6x, and also a 28mm wide-angle lens. It can also of course record HD video.
Just another option to consider!

My lower back hurts all the time from sleeping on it wrong... besides buying a new mattress, what can I do to alleviate the pain?
It could be that your mattress is too soft. Try sleeping on the floor for a night or two... Maybe on a sleeping pad or something, and see if that helps at all.
This was the case with me when I was experiencing back pain. My too-soft bed was allowing my spine to bend in improper ways, and I had to get myself a stiffer mattress.

It is a thick, fluffy pad that adds a huge amount of cushion and comfort. Maybe cushion isn't the right word, because it's fluffier than a cushion. It's like a big puff ball under your sheet. It is truly phenomenal to sleep on. I definitely suggest you try it out!

it comes with a dvd, which you will want to use, as it has a lot of good exercises. it includes ways of using the trampoline that i wouldn't have thought of on my own.
for me, the tricky part was finding a place where I could set up the trampoline in front of a tv with enough space to do the routine! my basement ended up being the right place.

What is the best vacuum cleaner for people with pets?
Hoover Platinum Lightweight Upright Vacuum with Canister, Bagged, U...
I cannot recommend this vacuum any higher! it is a wonderful vacuum cleaner...i have two goldens (with lots of hair) and this totally takes care of my dog hair issues.
You get the upright vacuum, which is light enough to carry up and down stirs, NO problem. It has a 12amp motor and let me tell you it REALLY sucks, in a good way. It also has a self sealing HEPA filter, to help with all that dust.
so you also get the canister vacuum, which is incredibly useful for any hard to reach areas or quick pick ups, and can also be used to clean up after your pets in the car. comes with a bunch of attachments.
this is a great vacuum. I love that the upright isn't covered in a bunch of obnoxious hoses and that I can just grab the canister vac when I need the telescoping arm or any hose vacuuming situation. great design.

place to find a cheap dv cam with firewire
Panasonic PV-GS80 MiniDV Camcorder with 32x Optical Image Stabilize...
this is a really nice mini dv camcorder and its firewire compatible. The camera did come out a coupe years ago, so it's not brand new on the market, but considering its price it is certainly a competitive option for you.
I have had a lot of luck with this camera because it shoots some real nice images...very clear picture....great image quality for the price. the ISO works very well (except when zoomed in all the way) so image stability is top notch.
battery life is poor.
other than that it's a great beginner dv camcorder.

  Epson Stylus NX625
This is a great all in one unit. Lightning fast for an at home ink jet. I was surprised by how quick it was, especially compare to my last one.
It also does quality work. Everything is very clear and quality.
I saw that you just want black and white, but I would definitely suggest getting something that at least gives you the option to go color, just in case you need to.

What are the best over-the-ear headphones?
  Sony MDR-XD200
well obviously there is a huge range of quality in headphones ranging from 300 dollar noise canceling phones to your 5 dollar average joe phones.
The ones I am recommending are more the average joe type. They are an amazing deal for only 22 bucks.
Sony makes a nice set of headphones, and I think you will be surprised with not only the sound quality but how comfortable they are on your head!
The ear pads are very cozy and help to block a little outside noise from getting in.
If you want good sound on a budget, I highly recommend these headphones!

They look and feel good, and they produce nice tones.

what windows laptop is comparable with macbook pro but at price 45% less
  Dell XPS X15Z-7502ELS
BETTER than a macbook pro! this one has more memory i believe. (6gb ram, 750 gb hard drive) and it is seriously so fast. amazing.
i love my dell. the display is bright and clear. it's rugged and durable feeling, much moreso than macbooks, in my opinion. however, it is a little bulky but not too bad.
you get more for your money with a pc that's for sure.
i don't understand what all the hype is about macs! pc's can do all the same stuff at a fraction of the cost!
the ONLY thing i don't like about this one is poor battery life - only 2.5 hours on a full charge :(

Has anyone tried 'flavor tripping'? What was it like?
Oh man I tried it at my friend's house a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome! If you don't know about it, it's this berry that was discovered hundreds of years ago that, when eaten, rearranges your taste buds and makes everything taste sweet!
It's pretty amazing actually and is really fun. Everyone should try it. It's not dangerous or drug related, like the name makes it seem. Just a natural berry that has miraculous powers!
The coolest thing to eat was a lemon. First eat the berry, rub the pulp all around your tongue, wait a couple of minutes, then cut up a lemon and eat it. It will taste like it was rolled in sugar, I am not kidding. It's really wild stuff. Try it with all your favorite foods. It will make a jalepeno taste sweet. Crazy!!!!
Here's a link you gotta look into it:

What is the best E Reader?
Kindle, Wi-Fi, Graphite, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology...
I would definitely have to suggest the Kindle. It's Amazon's best selling product and it has more 5 star reviews that any other product ever on Amazon. These two facts are the main reasons I decided to go with the Kindle for my personal e-reader, and let me tell you I couldn't be happier.
It is really a fantastic product. It's the smallest, lightest version yet (don't worry, the screen is still 6", but the rest of the device is smaller) and has a beautiful screen resolution/contrast that makes the text easy to read, even in sunny conditions, like a real book.
There are like literally a millions books to choose from. Anything you can imagine can be dumped onto your kindle. The screen actually looks like a page out of a book, and surprisingly it does not even feel like you're reading off a computer screen.
You can browse the internet, upload PDF files. You can even highlight what you're reading or take notes, on the Kindle.
It's the ultimate e-Reader as far as I'm concerned, and with so many satisfied customers, how could you go wrong?

What is the best way to find out if my home is haunted?
The last house I lived in was really old and I wanted to find out some info on its history. I went to the old city archives and they actually had records of when my house was built and some statistics! It was awesome. I found out that Mr. Upjohn of Pfizer built the house I was living in!!! It wasn't haunted, but there were lots of interesting random facts about the house, so I thought it was really cool.
I think this would help you in your research. See if your county has an archives... it should.
Good luck with your investigation!

What is the best men's hiking day pack?
Kelty Redwing 2650 Backpack (Blood Red)
Kelty makes a hell of a backpack, and they have for decades. I love their stuff. Always designed well and made of high quality materials. They really think about what they are doing when they build a pack.
This one is unmatched in comfort, allowing the wearer to enjoy the sights rather than worry about adjusting their pack. The cushioned, ventilated straps can be adjusted to move most of the weight of the pack onto your hips, just like the big hiking packs can do. This is awesome and is especially useful if you fill up the massive main compartment.
It has an organizer pocket in the front and a couple other compartments as well, including a hydration pack compartment, with which you can feed the water tube right up to your mouth.
Lots of adjustable straps and cushion make for an ultra comfortable wear, and the Kelty brand ensures the longevity of the pack.
This is great stuff! Try one out... guaranteed you will want one.

What is the best "something special" to reassure her she's ok in her 1st days in Kindergarten?

Good luck... I know this can be a stressful time.

What can I use to shine up my chrome running boards?
  SIMICHROME SIMICROME POLISH-TUBE 390050
This is a little diamond in the rough here. The packaging isn't very impressive...looks like it might not have changed since 1965. But the product inside is killer!
First you need to thoroughly clean your running boards with warm soapy water. THOROUGHLY ladies and gentlemen. You can't leave anything on there or you will scratch the chrome when you polish it. Very Important.
When you've decided it's clean enough, go ahead and apply a generous portion of Simichrome with a rag. Wait a couple minutes (making sure it's not in direct sunlight) and then polish off with a clean, dry rag. Use suede rags or something similarly soft to maximize your results.

What is the best way to clean a silver ring?
okay here's a pretty awesome trick (besides killing it with fire) that will definitely work, weird as it sounds.
first you need to line the bottom of a small pot or pan with some aluminum foil. add enough water to completely submerge the ring (but don't add the ring yet!). next, add a fair amount of baking soda, maybe a tablespoon or two for a small amount of water. heat up the water/baking soda solution to a boil and remove from burner. now, carefully set the ring on the aluminum foil at the bottom of the water/baking soda solution and let it sit there for a few minutes. what should happen is this: the sulfur on the ring is more attracted to the aluminum foil than the silver ring, and the baking soda helps it un-attach from the ring and attach to the foil.
it works for real! and it's far less caustic than a silver cleaner... better for old silver. might as well try it first because it's all stuff you have laying around the house. good luck!

Kenneth Cole REACTION Men's Money Clip, Silver, One Size
This is a beautiful money clip for your guy! I bought this one for my husband for christmas and he really likes it. He likes that it's fancy silver but not over the top shiny. A nice in-between thing.
If you get one you have to be careful not to over fill it with stuff. This will stretch it out and make it wider so it won't be able to hold smaller loads anymore! We found out the hard way.
Beautiful clip, though.

What is the best mens magnetic bracelet?
JBMCM33 Mens 14mm Magnetic Copper Cuff Bracelet 6.5" Long
I have no idea if the whole magnetic thing actually gives you any extra energy, but I do know this is a beautiful bracelet. I was disappointed a little bit to find out that it's not pure copper, but rather, copper plated. Oh well...guess I should have known at this price:)
looks beautiful, though...comfortable... only turned my wrist a little green!

What type of clothes should I bring on a trip to Anchorage this time of year?
You should definitely bring summer clothes. It's still august and definitely summer time there, and anchorage, like all of alaska, is bathing in a sea of sunlight right now, all day every day.
night time will cool off, so bring some layers like a long sleeve flannel shirt and some light sweatshirts or long sleeve cotton tees.
a windbreaker or similar rain coat type thing might also be handy:)

The First Years True Fit Convertible Car Seat, Casino
I would recommend a convertible car seat like this one. It adjusts as your child grows so you're not constantly playing catch up. This got all the best safety ratings. I like this particular model for its easy to clean material - most stuff wipes right off. Easy to install, front and rear facing. Has high side padding as well.

Can I wear a fashion tank on a date?
I think as long as it's acceptable for the establishment in which you are dining, it's fine. But there are people out there like gretchen who don't like them. I'm not particularly fond of them either, and if it was our FIRST date and you showed up in a tank top, I would be a little weary, to be honest. But I think they can be worn well, especially if you're buff.

What is the best way to stay warm in freezing temps?
I would say just to invest in a really nice, warm jacket for yourself. obviously still layer underneath, because it's certainly the best way to go. But with a really warm jacket you can keet it down to 2 or 3 layers, which is way more manageable than like 4 or 5!
Try a North Face or a Patagonia.... those are some of my favs.

What is the best knife set for the kitchen?
I just wanted to say that I would have to suggest Cutco knives! I'm sure you've heard of them.... and their door to door salesmen. And I know the door to door thing is annoying as hell... (I try to give them a break because one of my best friends was a salesman for them in college...) but wow they make an amazing knife. Incredibly well crafted and very sharp, very comfortable. They offer you a lifetime warranty.... that's why their knives are so darn expensive. Worth it in the long run if you can put up the money now.
I would also recommend not buying a full set. Maybe just a chef knife and a couple other useful ones.... you probably don't need 15 different knives. Ask your local Cutco representative what they recommend as far as the most useful knives, and only buy those!

  6 Ton Hydraulic Bottle Jack
I think I can pretty confidently say this is the best jack you will find at this price. It will definitely hold more weight than lots of similarly priced items. It's pretty heavy duty and fairly easy to extend. The only issue is that it's fairly small, so it can be difficult to find a place to set it on your undercarriage. So good luck with that... besides that fact it works beautifully.

There are all these reviews about big vehicles and the perfect ice scraper, but who's representing us small car owners???? ME. This is the scraper you need if you own a small car. It fits anywhere, even under your seat, and is super easy to use. Every surface can be used as a different ice scraper for every possible ice scraping job.
The best way is to hold it sideways and use both sides of it to alternately smash ice away.
It seriously works very well, and you really have to try it out a couple times and get used to it before you understand how great it is!

I haven't experienced a problem with fog yet.
They are SUPER comfortable on my head and I can wear 'em all day... I wish they had tinted lenses b/c I would use them for snowboarding as well. The strap is also very comfy... wide and secure, too.
Great goggle all the way around. Did I mention they're Oakleys? So of course they're amazing. Very clear lenses - that's the best/most appreciated part for me!

What is the best first aid kit to keep in my car under $50?
AAA 65-Piece Winter Severe Weather Travel Kit
I recently moved to a very cold climate (in Minnesota) and was terrified of my daily commute that sometimes happened at 7 or 8 pm.... in a snow storm. Scary stuff! After one too many slips off the road I finally bought one of these and am very pleased with the better sense of security I now have! For real!
I am happy to say that I haven't had to use it yet for any emergencies... but I have used the flashlight to find my keys and the emergency blanket for another non-emergency situation...both of which worked well ;)
Also included are a 46 piece first aid kit, a folding shovel (doubles as a self defense item), a strobe light, 3 emergency candles and hand warmer packets that I've almost used on my drive home just because it's so darn cold.
Oh yeah and there is also and emergency guide included that actually has some useful advice about how to handle emergency situations, although I would recommend reading it pre-emergency if possible other wise it's a bit useless.

What is the best remote starter system for my car under $100?
Python 1401 Remote Start/Keyless Entry System
Lots of buttons, lots of features, lots of options... does what I want it to and more. I originally only bought this to start early in the morning to make those horrible cold mornings a little more bearable. But when I took it to be installed (btw I had to because it doesn't come with installation instructions... my bf was going to try to install it for me but it was just too difficult with no instructions) they were able to make it do all the advanced features as well. So now it can unlock my doors, start my engine, open my trunk, and arm my alarm. I love it... but my favorite feature is still the engine start up!
It has a pretty long range I would say. I guess it's hard to tell because I never really try to start it from really far away. I'll have to try this and report back... but it always starts when I want it to from wherever I am!
It does come with two remotes.... it is really nice to have a backup. Also, I know there is the possibility of accidentally starting your car with one of these when the remote is in your pocket or something, but this remote is designed very well and the buttons require a good solid push to respond, so that has never been an issue for me.

What is the best subwoofer for my car under $300?
  JL AUDIO 10W6v2-D4 - Car subwoofer driver - 10"
This is a ridiculously nice subwoofer from JL Audio. Everything they make, I hear, is amazing. This woofer will get you a different sound than you might want or be used to. These JL's are designed more for accuracy than loudness, so you won't be able to bump as loud as they guy next to you. But you will be listening to music at a much higher quality than him, which is what really matters anyway and is way important than over-louding each other.
It's very compact and ideal for smaller vehicles, it's a decent sized 10" woofer with dual 4ohm coils. Also has cooling technologies to keep it from overheating.
You should try to listen to one of these before you buy anything else because they are amazing. Nothing sounds quite like them. I'm sure that they'll produce enough sound for you, too. I mean, they're not quiet! The make a ton of sound, just not compared to some. Depends on what you're into.

What is the best subwoofer for my car under $200?
Boss Audio BASS600 8-Inch Low-Profile Amplified Subwoofer (Single)
I didn't even know you could buy something like this until I got one installed in my car! Awesome little woofer! I mean it's such a great idea... you put it right under your seat, or get two and put one under each seat, and you get mad bumping beats directly under you as you drive. Perfect.
The speaker is only 8 inches wide, so you're not gonna get a ridiculous kick out of it, but that's not what I was going for. I just got a new system installed and it sounds awesome (it's an alpine!) but it was big time missing out on the bottom end. This totally fixed my problem
It has features like a low pass crossover and a subsonic filter. Also has short and overload protection circuits, and has a fully integrated amp that puts out 400 watts.
This woofer sounds great to me... very nice having it directly under you. You really get the full effect of the bass notes. But remember that it is only an 8" sub, so you're not going to rattle the windows or anything, if that's what you're going for!
Oh I also wanted to say that I've been using mine everyday since I got it 8 months ago and it still works great. No reliability issues for me like some of the reviewers online had mentioned.... just solid bass notes all the way around!

What is the best leather cleaner for my car upholstery under $25?
European Leather Restorer - Leather Cleaner & Conditioner 16 oz.
This is kind of a silly product because they advertise it as European and say it's made from Swiss tanning oils, but it's made in the good ol' US of A. That being said, it is a really nice leather treatment that should bring a real pretty shine to your leather seats.
I use it on upholstery, furniture, purses, etc. (not suede) and it usually gets the job done. It's certainly not a deep cleaner like they say... I mean it will clean minor stains and everyday wear and tear, but don't expect it to take out a five year old red wine stain, which you shouldn't have in your car to begin with...
I like it because it's a one step process - just rub it into your leather until the desired results are obtained! It will take out all of your minor stains and discolorations.

What is the best car seat cover for my dog under $50?
Solvit Sta-Put Deluxe Hammock Pet Seat Cover
My dog looooves this hammock, almost as much as I love not having hair all over my seat. It is 100% cotton and is very soft. Durability is possibly sub par, as the fabric seems a little thin, but no issues yet. It covers your complete back sea and easily connects to any head rest quickly and easily via adjustable straps.
Keep in mind this is totally designed for small - medium sized dogs. I don't thinka large breed would do well on here.

What is the best motorcycle half helmet under $100?
ZOX DDV Half Helmet Street Motorcycle Helmet "Matte Finish" Black A...
This is a really nice half helmet that I own, but keep in mind you get far less coverage with one of these than a full face! I only say this because I am recommending this helmet based on my riding experience, which is generally pretty medium intensity stuff, so this helmet works perfectly for me.
It has a shorty visor, which is more for looks i would say than anything else. It comes with a clear shield attached AND a replaceable smokey shield, which I certainly prefer. Also has air vents, which a lot of half helmets dont' offer, especially at this price range.
The inner lining is some kind of EPS lining that is very impact absorbant and more compact than usual, so the over all helmet size can be reduced. This is awesome news for people like me that put on a motorcycle helmet and look like Dark Helmet from Spaceballs. The fiberglass composite shell guarantees to deliver the utmost in safety standards, as it is of course DOT approved.

The audio is quite easy to hear. You can easily hear voices from phone calls up around 55 mph, and music up to 70 no problem (i guess that depends on what you listen to)
The rechargeable lithium ion batteries are good for up to 30 hours of continuous talk or 600 hours of standby! WHOA.
Better take this on your next road trip. It's a great helmet with all the features and comfort you want and deserve.

What is the best motorcycle helmet under $50?
VCAN V531 Cruiser Intricate Butterfly Gloss Black Small Half Helmet

No for real though, this is a high quality, safe, DOT approved helmet (actually even exceeds DOT standards) with a really pretty butterfly design on the sides and a gloss black finish that looks way better in real life than it does online.
It's really tough, with it's "ABS thermoplastic resin" shell. I don't know what that is but I can tell you that sucker is durable.
It has a removable, washable cheek pad and a strong yet comfortable nylon chinstrap. Over all the helmet looks and feels very high quality and sits very comfortably on my head... i love it!

What is the best receiver for my car under $200?
Sony MEX-BT3800U In-Dash CD Receiver MP3/WMA/AAC Player with Bluetooth
This is an awesome in dash receiver with its only flaw being that it's too darn complicated! i call it an everything receiver because you can listen to anything on it from CD's to mp3 files to iPods to satellite radio. This is really cool, but at the same time annoying because you have to scroll through like 8 inputs to find the one you're looking for! It has a crisp clean, and at times loud and powerful, broad sound spectrum, and sounds really nice for music and especially the bluetooth! yeah it is really clear and I actually prefer it to using my phone without it!
But man,all those buttons on the screen and the panel are too much for me. i don't like to mess around with it when I don't have to because it always wins the battle...
I would definitely recommend this based on quality, versatility and sound quality, but not on usability.

What is the best receiver for my car under $100?
  Kenwood KDC-MP345U In-Dash CD/MP3/WMA/iPod Receiver with USB/Aux Input
I heard about this receiver because it was one of the examples playing in the car stereo system section of the store (that shall remain nameless) in which I was browsing. I was on a strict $100 limit, so the associate suggested this one to me, saying people have bought it before and been very satisfied. Well, it sounded good to me standing there in the store, plus he told me it could play CD's iPods, flash drives, and just about everything... I was sold. I don't know much about electronics, but I do know what sounds good coming out of a speaker. This sounded good.
Got it installed in my car and again, it sounded really good (I was definitely impressed by the clarity of sound), and can certainly do all the functions it's supposed to do. The only thing I don't like (and that I feel the associate didn't explain to me) is that the interface is pretty hard to get around ingeneral. The menu doesn't make a lot of sense, and can be hard to see in the daytime, and the little buttons are confusing and I don't know what to push sometimes, usually just because i just can't differentiate between them.
All in all, I am happy with my purchase because of the quality of sound... it's beautiful.

What is the best car cleaning kit under $200?
  Zymol Creame Treat Smart Kit
You know this stuff is fancy when they call their car wash an "Auto Bathe" yes, with an 'e' at the end of 'bath'. But it really IS fancy and works amazingly well when used correctly! (Not like it's hard, but make sure you follow the directions so you do everything in the right order.... my fatal flaw the first time I tried to do the whole system :)
But this kit will really shine your car up NICE! It looks like a manicure set or something, the way it's packaged up so pretty! It's like a designer car wash kit. It comes with wash, cleanser, cream wax, a leather treatment (superb, byt the way) and two handy little wax applicators.
It takes awhile to get through the whole process if (which I do recommend), so put aside a few hours next weekend for it!

What is the best exterior car cleaning system under $50?

I know you said exterior, but if you're cleaning your car you have to protect your interior as well! If you happen to have leather or vinyl seats, you have to try this leather cleaner/protectant... it's amazing.
The cleaner formula safely cleans even your most delicate leather and brings it back to its original shine. The conditioner has oils in it that emulsify and bond with your leather (I did my research), strengthening and preserving your newly cleaned leather and keeping it shiny and fresh.
It also comes with a vinyl protectant/cleaner that seriously cleans hard and even has a UV protectant for your dash and other stuff.
It comes with applicator sponges designed for use on delicate leather surfaces... it won't scratch or anything.
This stuff is awesome and you need to try it.

What is the best rooftop cargo carrier under $600
Thule 667ES Excursion ES Rooftop Cargo Box
I like this Thule for a couple of reasons that I can't really find with other products. First of all, I like the size. It's very spacious inside and locks down with a heavy duty lid. When I say locks down, i mean it - it comes with a lock and key that locks at the rear door. The material is very high quality and I feel very secure when it's on my roof.
Installation is the next thing I am pleased with. It comes with easy snap mounting hardware... basically slide the snap mount to the desired pre drilled hole and snap into place. This is nice because it's adjustable for different vehicles.
As far as mounting goes, it should mount onto any Thule rack, round shaped rack and most factory racks as well, although you might want to find out for sure if it will fit on your car before you buy it.
The only things that bother me are 1) the middle sags a bit when loaded up, and 2) the front hinge seems a little cheap, like they needed to save a couple bucks in the factory and so they chose the cheapest hinges around. Other than that, it's a great buy and I am very happy with the use I have gotten out of mine... no big problems or setbacks.

What is the best rooftop cargo carrier under $400
Thule 682 Sidekick Rooftop Cargo Box
This is a great little carrier for a small vehicle and someone with small cargo needs. It only adds 8 cubic feet to your storage capacity, but 8 feet is a lot when your out of room completely! I use it for camping all the time and it's great for my backpack and tent and stuff, especially useful when i take my dogs and they take up the whole back seat.
It opens on the side, so everything is very much accesible if I stand on the door frame. It mounted easily to my after market roof rack, and says it should mount to factory racks as well.
Installation was a breeze... loop the u-bolts through your roof rack and into the bottom of the carrier, where you attach it with bolts. 10 minutes, tops. It's small size also helps in making it install friendly. I've even done it by myself, but it's way easier to have a helping hand.
The plastic they make it with is of questionable quality at best, and at times feels pretty flimsy. However, it's small size prevents you from putting more in there than it can handle, and its low, sleek profile keeps it out of harm's way on the road.

What is the best portable GPS navigation unit under $100?
TomTom XL 340M 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator (Lifetime Maps Edition)
This GPS device is so awesome, it's a shame it has sort of a bad rap. The only negative thing about this unit is as follows, and is easily fixed:
They say it has Lifetime Map updates, which is necessary because we all know how often roads are being worked on and changed around and whatnot. The issue arises because the unit only comes with 2GB of internal flash memory.... most of which is already used up by the preloaded programs it comes with. This doesn't leave enough space on the device to download the Map Updates! Fatal design flaw! You will actually have to go through and delete certain things from the GPS, like different language applications that you probly won't need. This is a pain, but once you get through it the thing works like a charm.
The screen is very clear, bright, and easy to see. The whole system is quite easy to use, and it has maps of the US, Canada and mexico. It says the street names out loud for you. It also features advanced lane guidance, useful in city driving.
It's a great device that I recommend, even with the fatal flaw because it work so solidly in every other aspect.

What is the best audio component receiver under $100?
  Sony STRDE197 Stereo Receiver
I have had nothing but good stuff to say about this machine since I got it over a year ago. It's an extremely basic 2 channel amp/receiver and just does the very basic amp/receiver functions.... but what else do you really need? At least, I don't need anything else.
The amp runs on 8 ohms and each of the two channels puts out 100 watts. There are 20 fm and 10 am presets for us old fashioned radio listeners, and the thing puts a ton of sound out through my speakers. Very impressive, especially for such a great price. I have certainly come to appreciate the reliability of sony products over the years, and this is as high performing product as I've used.

What is the best hiking pack under $250?
  Atmos 65 Backpack - L - GRAPHITE GREY
To be completely honest, I bought this bag initially for completely aesthetic reasons. It looks really nice and I know Osprey is a good brand. I was surprised with how happy I was with the performance of this pack and how much it has increased my desire/ability to go backpacking! I didn't even have my own bag before I got this, so I"ve been spoiled thus far!
I bought the medium size, which has a capacity of 4000 cubic inches. This is a great size for weekend getaways.. I was immediately impressed with how light it is. Only feels like a few pounds and is light an air when its on my back. It can hold more than enough to last me a couple of days and it seems durable enough to get me through some serious adventures! The mesh panel back is awesome and keeps my back ventilated and cool. It even has a sewn in hydration system (like a camelbak) so you will always be properly hydrated.
I love this pack and would highly recommend it to even the most experienced hiker.

What is the best dynamic mic under $100?
Blue Microphones enCORE 100 Studio-Grade Dynamic Performance Microp...
I used to sing weekly at this restaurant with another female vocalist. She got this mic and we shared it back and forth between songs. She has a lower, raspy-type voice, and mine a little brighter. We noticed that when she used the mic her voice sounded gorgeous and full, but when I used it my voice sounded tinny and thin. (I went to school for voice, so I know it's not usually like this!) We would turn up the mids a lot and turn down the highs and eventually I sounded good... but only after a lot of tweaking.
What I'm trying to say is that I think it is designed for more of a low, dark timbre voice, as it was quite difficult to make my bright voice sound clear. If you have the sultry type voice you should totally try this thing out. It accentuates the deeper tones!

What is the best at home speaker system under $200?
Panasonic SC-BT230 5.1 Surround Sound System
If you don't have a blu-ray player you should totally check out this super versatile panasonic. I needed a home speaker system for my newly purchased Vizio flatscreen, and i saw this little combo and thought, 'That's perfect.' I had never owned a blu ray before, so I've had a lot of fun with these hi def movies!
Anyways this is a whole 1000W surround sound home theater system in one package. The 6 1/2" subwoofer was kind of disappointing in it's size, but it sounds decent.
It's cool because with this you are able to stream Netflix right onto your television. That's like an infinite movie selection. I mentioned it was versatile earlier because it has just about every input you could imagine, from iPods to DVD to audio optical and back again.
I will say that using the system is not what they would call 'intuitive' and figuring out how to navigate the menu and stuff was tricky.

What is the best noise canceling headphones under $75?
Philips HN 110 Folding Noise-Canceling Headphones
I will never get on a plane again without some noise canceling head phones, and neither should you!!! These completely changed how I experience flying and listening to music. They somehow cancel out the background white noise (like jet engines) and enable me to listen to my music and not everyone else around me! I slip them on and go into my own little world for the entire flight. The folding headband makes them incredibly portable, and they even come with a 1/4" adapter AND an in flight airplane adapter.
They fit all the way around my ear, doubling the noise canceling action and sit on there really comfortably. Durability is the only issue I can foresee here. They don't feel very rugged.. I really hope they last........

What is the best at home espresso maker under $100?
Lello 1375 Ariete Cafe Prestige Coffee Maker
This is a beautiful stainless steel, heavy duty espresso machine for those of you who aren't messin around with their coffee! Like me!
The 15 BAR pump driven system ensures you a constant pressure throughout your coffee making experience. This is very important if you want a consistant product... which you do. It has an easy to fill, removable reservoir, and even features a really convenient cup warmer. I didn't think much about this at first, but it turned out to be one of my favorite features. I like my coffee PIPING hot and a cold cup makes that nearly impossible, because so much energy is lost heating the cup up!
The 950 watt water heater works surprisingly fast and really impressed me.
I will say that for some reason I have a harder time getting a decent creme with this machine than any other I'e used. But it is entirly possible that this is due to user error! I will also say that I read a lot of reviews before buying this product, and some people have issues with general reliability and parts breaking.

What is the best hair straightener under $50?
Remington S-9400 Tstudio Collection Digital Ceramic Hair Straighten...
I like this one for it's huge plates, although some people seem to think it's the downfall of the straightener! See, the heating plates (not straight ceramic...some sort of blend) extend right up to the edge of the heating wand, with no real barrier. You can kind of see that in the pic. I guess a lot of people end up burning themselves because of this. And I have too, a couple times, but I learned quickly that you just have to be extra careful. The extra wide plates are nice because it ensures straighter hair with less repetitions. The heat plates are 21/4" wide and can heat up to 430...which is very hot (especially if you burn yourself!)
Oh and it also has dual voltage capabilities for easy travel.
be super careful with this one, though. It does get super hot and could be dangerous if used improperly!

  BaByliss Pro BABNT3072 Nano Titanium-Plated Ultra-Thin Straightenin...
These BaByliss straighteners are a revolution for people like me with tough to handle curls or very coarse hair. It just works better than anything else i've ever used because of it's high heat capabilities - up to like 450 degrees. Watch your fingers!
Okay, so I read about it to see what makes it so effective, and apparently the nano titanium plates somehow emit negative ions into your hair which pushes silk ions deep into the cortex of your hair. honestly this doesn't really mean anything to me, except a straightener that glides through my hair effortlessly.
I have a large amount of hair and my morning routine has been cut in half thank to my investment in this straightener!

What is the best small flash memory camcorder under $100?
Creative Labs Vado Pocket Video Camcorder (Pink) OLD MODEL
I love my pink camcorder... but don't worry, they come in other colors, too! I like this thing because I can VERY easily record up to two hours of video with the touch of a button, then Very easily put the video onto my computer via the USB drive, and then Super easily edit the videos and upload to the net (using the on board software that's included).
It has a 2" screen that is very clear, and also has a removable and rechargeable battery. A lot of these cams don't seem to have rechargeable batts, so this is a great feature!
My biggest complaint with this particular camera is the crappy audio. The mic isn't very good, and there is no mic input to add your own. Maybe a future design improvement. Also there's no headphone jack, so listening back to your recording is darn near impossible. Oh, and there's no zooming capabilities. either.
I have no problems using this with my PC, but mac users beware: it automatically saves all your files as AVI, which cannot be opened in iMovie, so additional software will be needed.

What is the best way to convert a microphone signal to midi?
Tascam US-100 USB 2.0 Audio Interface
Don't worry there is an XLR input i promise! it's on the back though! I like this tascam for it's zero latency engineering, meaning there's no delay between the mic and the recording. My old bud had i think an m-audio and used to have problems with that. If you were singing along or playing along to something there would be a slight delay from your voice to the music software, so everything sounded a little off when you recorded it unless you anticipated the beat a little bit. I never have this problem.
i also really like the strong aluminum housing. It's very sturdy and looks nice and professional!

My grandma is really into canning and preserving and wanted me to be, too. She bought me this book (she also has a copy) to try to get me into. It kind of worked! I never thought I'd be a canner, but after the success I had with the first couple of jams, i was kind of hooked!
This book has all the proper techniques and ingredients to accompany the 200 greatly varied book. Who ever new you could make red grapefruit marmalade? Not me until I did it and it was delish!
I don't make jams everyday, but when I do I'm certainly glad to have this reference as my companion!

These are pretty nice, as they provide you with not only protein but a few other essential vitamins as well. You get 15 grams of whey protein isolate per bottle, which is pretty good. You're probably going to want to supplement with something else a little more protein rich, but this is good for a non protein shake idea.
It has 23 other vitamins and minerals, too. Not a huge percentage of any of them... but at least it's something! They taste okay, but it's not the type of thing you're going to be craving just because it tastes so amazing. it definitely has its time and place.

I never have a problem grouping the wires together and keeping them out of the way (I just use twisties). My problem is that this huge mass of wires is just floating there behind my stereo receiver, and sometimes falls into view. These clips enable me to suspend the wires in such a way that they are out of view and not going anywhere.

What is the best most affordable elliptical machine under $250?
  Body Rider Magnetic Elliptical Trainer
Unfortunately, mediocrity is the name of the game at this price range. I don't say that to be rude at all, but just to point out that in this price range, the materials used are generally not very high quality, some product longevity might be an issue.
As far as functionality, this is a nice machine. It will definitely give you a solid workout with its eight different resistance levels and true elliptical motion. It also includes a heart rate monitor and tracks your speed, distance, and time. Also, this elliptical is very easy to assemble, a nice feature, because some of these things are incredibly complicated.

You have to watch it from the very beginning and in sequence to understand what's going on. But it is so endearing and hilarious! I wish there were 100 seasons. It's the story of The Bluth family, a very wealthy family in LA who looses everything, and the only sane son (Jason Bateman) has to figure out how to get the business back on track. This is a pretty cool product too, but not if you want tons of sparkling water all the time. It's way more compact and simple than the similar Sodastream products, and is really fun and easy to use. You put just about any liquid you want into the bottle, insert the magic carbonating wand (essentially a C02 canister), wait about a minute, and voila! your beverage is carbonated. It's great and works every time! My ONLY complaint is that each wand is for a single use! So you get about 3 glasses of carbonated beverage per wand use. It only comes with 3 wands, and a replacement pack of ten is 12 dollars. They need to figure out a better system.

What is the best nail polish remover?
  Opi Polish Remover 4 oz.
In my experience, OPI always delivers a really great, innovative beauty product. This is a great formula of mild acetone and aloe that removes polish and moisturizes hands. It's the best of both worlds - slight acetone power without the overwhelming chemical presence.

What is the best value and most attractive sleeper sofa for a small apartment under $500?
Dorel Home Products 3163 196 Belle Revolution Convertible Sleeper F...
I was so happy when I put this in my living room! It totally brightened up my space, and left me with tons of extra room. This is a super elegant, faux leather couch that is ideal for small rooms or apartments. Most sofabebs I've seen look like cheap couches with bad material or rickety old wooden frame futons. This is neither! I love the sleek design, and it's quite comfortable to sit on. Definitely needs a nice cover for when it's a bed, as it is faux leather and not very pleasant to sleep on, especially if it's hot!

What is the best noise canceling headphones under $100?
  Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B Active Noise-Cancelling Closed-Back Headph...
These are gonna rock your world! I guess they're slightly over your price range, but well worth it! I bought these for my plane travel (as many people do) and have had a great experience with them. This lightweight headphone came in a great carry case that was even big enough to put my ipod in. Right out of the box they were basically airplane ready, as they come with an airplane adaptor. They have a noise canceling on/off switch that's nice for saving batteries (one AAA lasts like 40 hours), and seem to be quite durable, thus far. They advertise using a neodymium magnet in the headphone, which is supposed to deliver better high and low frequency sounds for an over-all high fidelity experience! I don't know what a neodymium magnet is exactly, but I do know music and it sounds great on these guys! The only problem I have had with them is comfort. The're not great for super long trips. After an hour of listening I need a break... they squeeze my head a little too much! Over all I am happy with my purchase.

What is the best earbuds for running?
Sennheiser Adidas OMX 680i Sports Headset
These are awesome because they are specifically designed for working out. They have kevlar reinforced cables and are sweat/water resistant, so you can run anywhere, any time. The over ear headphone design is really comfortable and stays out of my way when I'm running. Oh yeah... and they sound great too! Very high output.

What is the best performance microphone for a female vocalist with bright voice under $500?
Audio-Technica ATM610 Hypercardioid Dynamic Handheld Mic
This is a really nice mic for female lead singers, especially involved in louder types of music. They say this mic really reduces outside, surrounding noises, getting a clearer sound from the musician. I just like the sound! It's also a dynamic mic, and is very durable.

Whats the best lego set for a 12 year old?
LEGO Ultimate Building Set - 405 Pieces (6166)
Why not get the Ultimate Building Set so they can have the whole lego world at their fingertips! This is similar to what I had as a kid. I liked it because the lego creations were all my own inventions... I wasn't just following directions. Build houses and cars and spaceships and stuff.

What is the best kitchen wear starter set under $1500?
Calphalon Contemporary Stainless 13-Piece Cookware Set
My parents are avid, self proclaimed gourmet cooks, and they just bought this set, or some similar Calphalon product. Anyways, they have been raving about these pots and pans... apparently they're like the best, ever. They look really sleek and modern and are coated with brushed stainless. Even if you can't cook like a pro, you can at least look like one!

What is the best docking station for iPhone under $50?
Altec Lansing IMT320 inMotion Compact iPod Speaker System
I like the convenience and mobility of this docking station. It's pretty small, and folds up even smaller than the picture because the stand in the back folds up over the unit. It has pretty good sound for the size...not as 'tinny' as similar small systems. They advertise "enhanced low frequency sound" and I think that's why such a small unit can sound so pretty!

My boyfriend has this camera and I steal it from him all the time because I love using it so much! I'm really into photography... especially portraits of my beautiful friends;) But I also take lots of nature pics on it and the color is stunning. Really good zoom, too.

What is the best lawn furniture for wet weather climates?
Five Piece Dining Set in Burgundy
This set is kind of pricey, but it's perfect if you need serious wet weather furniture. It's made of recycled plastic, so water will never ever damage it, and it helps the earth a little bit by recycling! It doesn't require any maintenance, besides the occasional spray off with the hose. This set looks fantastic next to my pool.
