I've been in the Water Well industry for over 40 years. I'm semi retired and still working around 20 hours a day at my pump business. I am also qualified and licensed to give classes to obtain a Concealed Weapons permit by the NRA.
I also have a Vacation Rental in Riverview, Fl. Check it out: http://www.palmtreevacation.com

There are a bunch of opinions on this Forum, but most of them are from folks that have used them. If your into carrying a gun, this is the Forum for you. usacarry.com

I carry an American Arms .22Mag revolver. It's the smallest gun I could find and fits in my front pocket nicely. I've tried lots of other guns, but the way we have to dress in Florida, it's real tough concealing much else.

In retirement parks, some of the residents put covers over their tires. Because the motor homes sit in one position for long periods. If your trying to keep the tires on your car from cracking, and you drive to work every day, don't worry, they will wear out long before they weather check.

Paint your naked tummy to look like a Pumpkin, lock your fingers under it and act like your holding a Pumpkin. I don't know, that's what first entered my twisted mind.

I don't advocate installing any kind of in line filter. The two listed above are for removing chlorine only. A real whole house filter of any kind would cost more than $400.00. You get what you pay for.

Thanks Abby, but I was talking mostly about motorized not hand pumps. But for a hand pump, the simple pump looks like a good one.

I just checked Shaw's website, they distribute pumps, not manufacture them from what I can see. They sell Grundfos, Goulds and Unitra. All of which I am familiar with. Of those three, I'll go with the Unitra.

The last one for me was my Daughters. The parents of the Bride are expected to customarily pick up the tab for the entire dinner. Drinks and all, so that's why I like to keep them small.

Smart Defrag 2
I have been using it for 5 months, it runs in the background and keeps you defraged without you having to do anything. It doesn't slow my machine down at all.

If your using it for irrigation or to run underground, poly pipe is the best. Use at least 100psi. PVC is used a lot, but is more for plumbing than underground. For plumbing in the home, pex seems to be the new kid on the block. Before that there were several types that failed very early and have since been phased out. Before that; copper was the traditional pipe of choice and is still used today by some Plumbers.

I have tried both. Delorme gives you more options of how to plan your trip. You can also customize the screen to suit your needs.
