Hey. Shark makes a good vacuum, I would suggest it over a hoover. This one actually comes with a pet hair brush which will be excellent for getting up all that fussy pet hair. I know how annoying that can be!
It's bagless and it comes with a stretch hose, dusting brush, 2 crevice tools, turbo power brush, and even lifetime filters.
Anyways, I think it would be a good purchase for you.

Listening to dubstep I would want some serious bass and some extra zing.... I think these should deliver. Sony makes a nice headphone.
They are designed for big bass and comfort. They are on the large side, but assuming that's not a problem, I think you will find these very nice.
|
|
|
|
|
I have heard these are pretty good for low light shots. Probably one of the best options at this price point.
|
|

|
This is the one I would get, Marlena.
The main reason I like it so much is its sleek look. That stainless steel looks sleek and sophisticated, and I know it would look great in my kitchen.
Gets good performance reviews, people seem to like it a lot and say it works like it should.
For your purposes, it has a popcorn specific button, as well as other one touch cooking options and power levels.

This really seems like the best high volume paper shredder that isn't ridiculously expensive. It is made by a respectable brand and has plenty of oomph to slice through all your secret documents... haha.
The cross cut style really shreds it small, so you can be sure of your security. It can cut DVD's, Cd's, staples, credit cards.... and tons of paper!

Sorry it's a teeny bit over your price point but these are great keyboards. Gotta give to Logitech for this sort of thing. You actually get a case, stand and keyboard. It's small and portable, and should be fairly comfortable to type on, although probably not for overly extended times. Also, it connects wirelessly (easily) which is very convenient.

For daily use I'm thinking comfort and sound quality are most important. These on-ear cans from Grado will be spectacular. Sound reproduction is amazing on Grado headphones. They really know what they are doing. For a tight, accurate sound Grado is the way to go.
The soft padding makes them hardly noticeable as you're wearing them, so you can wear them all day long, no problem.

I think this is one of the best laptops in your price range. You might also consider Asus' Republic of gamers, as you can sometimes find one under a grand.
This one has the following specs:
Intel Core i7-2670QM processor
6 GB DDR3 Memory
500 GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive
Nvidia GT 540 1 GB Graphics
This is all pretty sweet for under $1000 and I think it will certainly be a huge upgrade for you.
|
|
|
|
|
Well I think Flip would be a good choice, but here is another good option, assuming you're looking for something that more closely resembles a video camera.
Sony is actually a very nice optics company, for camcorders and cameras alike. This one features a Carl Zeiss lens, which is very high quality. It has a 3.0” touch-screen Clear Photo LCD display, has zoom, image stabilisation, and a host of other cool features. I think it will be perfect for you.

Cloud dude, Cloud!
I just think the whole ambiance and story is 1000X better in VII. More enthralling and epic.

For printing text you're going to want to go with a laser printer. Inkjets in general print better photos but also are much more expensive to run. For a small business you really ought to go laser to keep costs down... although I certainly don't want to tell you how to run your business :)
But this would really be a good choice. It can print around 30 pages per minute B&W. It also can print wirelessly, which is a huge plus for a small business. Very convenient. And with up to 2400 x 600 dpi resolution you will get some high quality, pretty looking documents!
|
|
|
|
|
Here's a very good option for you sir. The reason I recommend this Tv in particular is because not only does it have 1080p resolution, but it also has a 120hz refresh rate. Basically that means the picture is redrawn on the screen 120 X per second. For sports you want a high refresh rate because everything moves very quickly, and you don't want to see any motion blur. There are sets with higher refresh rates, but 120 is pretty darn good and any faster isn't very noticeable.
Anyways, this will totally be a good choice for your sports watchin!

I hear good things about Vegas. It's only $60 and has plenty of editing options...also is supposed to be pretty easy/intuitive to use.
|
|
|
|
|
This is a really nice mouse....and very cool looking. Lights up and stuff...has a cool design. Fast and accurate, the gold-plated USB connector enables a 1ms response time. It has a 3500dpi Razer Precision 3.5G infrared sensor for super fast and accurate tracking. Also is ergonomically designed to be comfortable. Certainly worth the $40 or so dollars they want for it.
|
|
|
|
|
These are wonderful keyboards and they're very well priced, too. They have useful gaming functions but none of the silly stuff that you don't need.
I like the backlit keys and feel of it...also has 3 banks of 6 programmable macro keys and auto profile switching. Plus it just looks great. A good upgrade for sure.
|
|
|
|
|
This is a good recommendation for you. These have 7.1 channels of surround sound, which really lends itself for hardcore gaming, as you can hear what's happening all around you. Has a bunch of on ear controls like volume and stuff and a noise canceling bom mic. Very high quality stuff!
|
|

Logitech's g19 is a popular choice in this price range. It's a very nice keyboard with a lot of gaming features that really do enhance your gaming experience:
-character backlighting: you choose the color
-GamePanel LCD displays game stats, system information, VOIP communication data, etc.
-12 programmable G-keys with three macros per key
-Two high-speed, powered USB 2.0 ports
-Comfortable keys, both in terms of action and feel
-Multi-Key Input:perform multiple actions simultaneously
Lots of cool stuff, and from a trusted name in the biz.

Pretty sure the answer is no... on Amazon it states the "minimum power requirement: 650W"
I don't think it would be a good idea.
|
|
|
|
|
Can you possibly pop up into this price range? It's a liiiiittle over your budget but definitely worth the extra bucks, if you can swing it. Sorry.... I hate to suggest things over a given budget, but this is a really great card that will blow you away. Like if you can save for another couple weeks it would be worth it, in my opinion. It's a GTX 560 Ti.....Superclocked. Badass card, will play all your games no problem. Worth it worth it worth it!
|
|
|
|
|
I recommend a Lumix. I think these are some of the best cameras in the price range....possibly the best. With 16.1-megapixel resolution, a 28mm wide-angle Leica lens and 4x optical zoom you're really getting a great tool for photography. Leica makes a nice lens.
For your every day purposes it has a smart iA mode in which the camera sets all the correct settings automatically depending on your shooting conditions.... the true nature of the term point and shoot.
|
|
|
|
|
I think this would be a possibility for you. Asus certainly knows how to make a solid mobo.... although it does appear to be a bit picky as to which type of RAM you use, so check the DRAM qualified vendor's list before you buy any RAM. Should be a great purchase for you though.
|
|
|
|
|
I go by brand and reviews. There are plenty of websites on which to read reviews, and if you can sort through the crap you can find some very useful information.
First I pick a brand I am interested in..... usually Sennheiser, Grado, Audio Technica or Sony. I would then determine how much I am willing to spend, and start reading reviews for products in that price range, taking into consideration various features I may or may not be interested in like semi-open, noise canceling, or what have you. From here you have narrowed it way down and should be able to find something that exactly fits your needs and budget.
|
|
|
|
|
I would think something like this would have the best resolution. Has a nice 12 mp CMOS sensor and Canon's killer DIGIC 4 processor. This one comes with a beautiful lens.
It can shoot hd video which you can watch on the LCD screen. This is a beautiful camera with professional options and beginner modes as well. Something to grow into!
|
|
|
|
|
This is my fave among the point and shoot variety. It has a large 16mp sensor, 28mm wide-angle LEICA DC lens with a powerful 8x optical zoom. Optical zoom is, as we all know, far superior to digital zoom. It will also do high quality, high def video recording. Great camera.
|
|
|
|
|
Here's a really nice option for you. Not only a high quality monitor, but it's easily under $200 and has a 2ms response time (gray to gray).
You'll get a 1920 x 1080 resolution and it's LED backlit. It's gonna be a beautiful display!
I also think the other ones suggested here are good choices... any of these will put you in good hands.
|
|
|
|
|
Yup... I think this is pretty much the same thing that Janie suggested... UV Protective Filter, FLD Fluorescent Filter, CPL Circular Polarizer Filter.
|
|
|
|
|
If you had a higher budget I wold definitely suggest going the PC route because I think it would offer you a much better gaming experience. However, with a $350 budget I would have to suggest going with a console. You're not going to find a very good computer build at that price, even if you build it yourself. It's just not a high enough budget to get everything you would need to play games on high settings.
|
|
|
|
|
All good suggestions here! Here is another possibility for you. This is an extremely high quality monitor with in plane switching. I'm not gonna lie, it's expensive! But very, very nice.
|
|
|
|
|
These are really cheap - under $80, actually, which is a great deal for what you get. Canon is one of the best camera companies worldwide, so buying from them is probably a good idea.
The camera is pretty darn good, although obviously if you pay more you can get better quality. But you'll be happy with the picture quality I am sure, and it's also really easy to use. In the true essence of the phrase 'point-and-shoot' it has intelligent auto scene mode, where it senses lighting conditions and picks the best camera settings for you, so all you have to do is point and click!
|
|
|
|
|
This will be pretty fast and has a lot of storage. Not ideal for gaming as is because there is no graphics card.... but you didn't mention gaming so that wasn't a concern.
Intel Pentium Processor 2.6GHz
4GB DDR3 RAM
1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive
|
|
|
|
|
If it's the ear drum that hurts it sounds to me like a volume issue! I don't think a particular type of headphone will help with this situation. The headphone isn't touching her eardrum, the sound waves are.... and it sounds like they are too loud! If her eardrums hurt even at lower volumes then she has very sensitive hearing and probably shouldn't use headphones....or should consult a doctor first!
|

|
Definitely recommended in this price range. A pretty nice tablet - not the best - but pretty darn nice, especially at this price point.
It has a large 9.7-inch LED backlit multitouch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-CPU APQ8060 1.2GHz processor. It's fairly fast and good for browsing the net.
I think the best part about this is gonna be the operating system. People tend to like it and say it's intuitive, fast and easy, and good for multitasking.
So yeah, it's good! Try it out at a local store if you can... I always recommend doing this before dropping hundreds on a device you are unfamiliar with.
|
|
|
|
|
You could try one of these. Fairly inexpensive and these are great cards.
|
|
|
|
|
something like this would work... compatible with macs, portable, and a good brand
|
|
|
|
|
I think it looks pretty cool, but unfortunately I feel like there isn't really enough info yet to form a truly informed opinion. I do have an apple TV and I love it. I use to stream netflix and really wouldn't want to watch tv any other way. I tend to like Apple products pretty well, and if it's an excellent tv set (picture quality-wise) and already has apple tv-like features, I think it will be a great product.
|
|
|
|
|
I'm gonna go ahead and suggest this Viewsonic to you because I have had good experiences with them in the past. I think they make a solid monitor, although I have to say I'm not that into the design of it.... looks a bit awkward to me.... but the resolution will be excellent (full hd).
You will enjoy some nice energy savings with the LED backlighting - they say about 50% energy savings, which is excellent.
They also describe it as having "20,000,000:1 MEGA contrast ratio" which is definitely slightly exaggerated, but will give you great contrast between bright whites and deep blacks. I think it will have a "killer picture" for sure!
|
|
|
|
|
I would go with this Asus, Oswald. They make great monitors, and this one has a built-in 1.3 mp webcam. It also offers a 2 ms grey to grey response time and a full HD display.
I always like Asus products and think you will have a good experience with it.
|
|
|
|
|
Not sure what kind of budget we're working with here, but Apple makes an excellent monitor for such purposes. These have exceptional resolution (2560-by-1440) and wonderful color accuracy. They have an anti-glare coating as well which is extremely helpful for editing.

Definitely not a bad game! In fact, it's pretty awesome in terms of gameplay, graphics, detail, and is pretty much a very well made game.
The problem with SC2 is the surrounding circumstances... that is, there are some big annoyances that Blizzard attached to this game that don't have to do with gameplay, but with everything else surrounding the game. (This is all summarized very well actually by the reviewers on Amazon, if you care to read those... but I will do my best to summarize...)
Here are some of the complaints:
-You need an internet connection to play, even as a single player... I mean you CAN play single player offline but you don't get all the features/privileges (don't get the whole experience)
-Region lock means you can't play with your friends in other countries unless you have a copy of the game from that country
-No LAN!
-Must create a battle.net account to play AT ALL!
There are more complaints, too, but those are some of the big points. The thing is, the game itself gets awesome reviews, so I think it is definitely worth it as long as you are aware of some of the crap that Blizzard tried to pull with this release.

|
Something like this would probably be worth it if, especially you re into the bass tones. The bass is adjustable on these and can get really loud, and yeah the sound quality is actually quite good, at least at this price range. I think the cheaper ones are, well, cheap, and the more expensive models don't compare to similarly priced headphones such as Sennheiser or Sony.
But these are nice and I would have to say my only warning is that they are a little fragile. Maybe they skimped on build quality a little bit, but they sound quality is good and I don't think they'll be blowing out any time soon.
|
|
|
|
|
I don't really see you getting a great gaming laptop at this price range. But you can get a decent laptop for general entertainment needs, like this one from Asus. I have recommended this one before. I like Asus and I like the various levels of 'specs' you can get on this laptop with various price points. It's got some good stuff going on inside that you should totally look into.
|
|
|
|
|
Tough to find a gaming capable laptop at this price!
I think Asus would be one of your best options. It will play lots of newer games like Skyrim (though not on Max settings, but on high) and is under $1000.
|
|
|
|
|
I believe if your current card is class 6 it means that the minimum write speed is 6 MB/second. With class 10 your minimum will go up to 10, and apparently it can write up to 30mb/second. So it will be inherently faster. I think a Transcend or SanDisk would be your best bet, and I do think you would benefit from an upgrade to a higher class.
|

In my opinion this is the only tablet to compare to iPad and maybe even be better. It has that usb port you need, too.
In many ways, spec for spec, this thing is more powerful, versatile, and has better graphics than iPad. It is quite similar indeed, the main difference being of course it uses the Honeycomb OS (4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgradable).
It utilizes gorilla glass and is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-core CP. Very powerful little tablet. Of course it can be paired with a keyboard, turning it into basically a laptop, which you might find very useful for taking notes, or even writing papers.

Hi Neil,
These are on the expensive side but they claim to be among the world’s smallest, lightest in-ear headphones. They are from a great company and will be not only extremely comfortable but also have exceptional audio quality. I think the wife will be more than pleased!
|
|
|
|
|
These are amazingly accurate headphones. I would describe the sound as big, clear and delicate. Delicate in the sense that every sound is so finely tuned that even a slight change of design would yield a completely different experience... in essence they are perfectly tunes sound reproducers.
The open design yields not only a light, comfortable experience but higher sound quality. These are the real deal, there is no way you won't think they are incredible.

|
|
I guess since the highly successful collaboration with Dre and Monster to create the Beats headphones, they wanted a new headphone to severely over-charge people for! Ha ha... Imean Beats are nice headphones but a little overpriced if you ask me.... these "Diamond Tears" are going to be similarly priced.
I think they look a little too flashy for my taste, but I would have to hear them before I could make any real judgement!
|
|
|
|
|
I would suggest Asus. They make a great monitor. This one happens to be fantastic for gaming, with a 2 ms response time and 24 display with 1920×1080 resolution.
It is LCD. Lots of good reviews and stuff...definitely a great choice for you.
|
|
|
|
|
These look sweet!
I haven't actually used MSI but I hear good things about them... I mean no wonder with all this power they got going on in there!
It's got: NVIDIA Geforce GTX560M 1.5G GDDR5 graphics, 1TB (500GB x 2) hard drive, 12GB DDR3 system memory, Intel Core i7 processer. It will get the job done! That's for sure!
|
|
|
|
|
This is my favorite. I love the switchable keypad.... it can go on either side of the keyboard. Ergonomically, it's very comfortable for me to switch it to the left side for certain games, and usually on the right side if I am not gaming.
It also has tons of other features: you can manually toggle the keyboard from standard mode to either of two gaming modes with "mode switching," two color adjustable backlighting, you can assign up to 90 macro keys... not to mention the soft touch and nice action.
Definitely a good one!

GT5 is a great racing sim, in that they try to make it super realistic. Are you interested in realism or like an arcade type, hit the gas 'n go thing?

Here's a very popular mouse at this price point. It's got everything: 13 programmable buttons, matte finish for easy grip, 5700dpi max accurate tracking, USB recharging/data cable, comfortable ergo shape. Logitech has a whole slew of nice gaming mice, this is just one of many, but I think it's a great value for what you get.

|
Definitely Mario Bros. It's the best worst movie ever!
|
|
|
|

I've heard these are good for battery life, about 2 - 3 days between charges, which isn't bad for a smart phone. Definitely good for productivity... this phone is capable of a lot of stuff.
|
|
|
|
|
This one seems to be a popular choice in your price range. Lots of impressive specs going on, which definitely lend themselves to gaming, such as: Nvidia GTX 560M 3GB GDDR5 graphics, 16 GB DDR3 memory, 750 GB 7200 rpm hard drive... all good stuff. More good specs on the link too.

You gotta go with Splinter Cell! You two will love this game, I play it with my girlfriend all the time. Perfect for rainy days!

Springpad is very useful. It's like an all-in-one organizer for my life.

Zune has a standard 3.5 mm audio jack, so it should be compatible with nearly every consumer-grade headset on the market. These would be a great choice from Sennheiser, and they have an in-line volume control.
You should be able to use just about anything.... I don't know why yours don't work, unless it is in fact a faulty headset.
|
|
|
|
|
Sorry, but there is seriously no substitute for lessons! You gotta learn the theory and proper technique, and it's impossible without a teacher. You should at least take a few lessons to get on the right track, so you're not learning everything incorrectly. Sure, the software might explain the proper techniques, but there is no way of actually doing it correctly without some sort of direction from someone who knows what they are doing.
Is there a reason in particular that you don't want to do lessons? I think you would find it very rewarding!
|
|
|
|
|
My opinion in matters like this is you gotta be patient. The Vita isn't going to change at all in the next few months, so I think it's worth your time to wait it out and see how well it is received, see what type of games come out that you might be interested in, and try it out when a friend gets one or something. Price will drop soon, more games will come out, and you won't miss anything.... unless you are the type that needs new tech as soon as it is available! I know there are plenty of people like that!
|
|
|
|
|
Completely different phones. What features are important to you? What sort of things do you want to be able to do on the phone? Personally, I like iPhone because it does everything I want/need from a phone, but some people like the customization options of droids.
|
|
|
|
|
oh I see you already suggested this, Brad. Good suggestion!
|
|
|
|
|
Well the Bravia that Greg suggested would be an excellent choice. This Samsung is pretty similar, actually. Just another option for ya. It has 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, LED back-lit. This is a really nice TV. Sports will look excellent, and gaming will be good as well.
|
|
|

For my two cents, Sennheiser makes an outstanding set of headphones. So does Sony and Audio Technica, if you get the right set.
This set from Sennheiser will be excellent.

I think an iPad can be a very useful tool, even if you do already own a laptop. My girlfriend has a Macbook and for christmas got an iPad 2. I thought it was a bit redundant at first, but then I began to see how useful it is (for her, at least), as compared to a laptop. See, she is a stylist at a salon downtown, and has a very hecktic schedule. Now she is able to take the iPad with her to work everyday and run all her appointments and stuff right there. Her calendar is on there, she can email her clients immediately from work, even update her blog on her downtime. This is all stuff she couldn't do before because she couldn't really take her laptop with her. It's also really nice that she can do all that stuff at work, and not at home, so I get more time with her!
I think for the right people iPad can be an excellent tool.

Hey, just wanna say thanks to Greg and Weste for not going on an "iPhone sucks" rampage, or a "Droid sucks" rampage. I see this way too often, people just saying how awesome their phone is and how much the other type sucks, and really that is just silly. Both are fantastic phones, each offering a different experience that can be advantageous to some and not others. It's completely subjective. The best is to try them out and see what you like. Ask your friends if you can mess around with their phone, or go to a retailer and play with the demo for a little bit.
Either way you will get a great phone, so you need to figure out which one you enjoy using more.
|
|
|
|
|
I'm thinking something like this would be nice for you. They look very comfortable!
Has in-line hands-free mic and playback music controller.
I really like the flat cord, as it should help to keep it from getting all tangled.
Should be some pretty high quality sound coming out of these, definitely better than the cheap white apple 'phones.

I think liquid cooling is certainly necessary if you plan on doing some serious overclocking or volt modding, but only if you plan on serious stuff like that. Most of the time you can get away with using some halfway decent fans, which are more cost effective and easier to install/run.
If you decide you do need liquid (as you may with a superclocked 580), make sure you really know what you are doing. Like you said, a faulty tube can ruin your setup. Also keep in mind that you have to change the water periodically (about every 6 months I believe) which again poses a threat to your computer. Water cooling is not for newbies... pretty complicated install, lots of parts, etc. I'm not saying you can't handle it, just that you need to be comfortable with it and really know what you are doing before you start messing around with it!
Have you considered something like this?
http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Cooling-Hydro--High-...
don't know if it will work with your setup, but it's a great simple way to cool.

Haven't used it but what a great idea.

I think this looks like a fantastic keyboard. Good reviews, too.
2.4 GHz two-way RF wireless technology and a 15 foot wireless range.
I think it will facilitate faster typing and less mistakes for sure. nice feel, nice action for more accurate typing.

Hi Andre, great question. I recently had this question, too, and after some research I ended up buying this one, and am very happy with it. A $10 really is not good enough, and here's why: power surges can affect not only AC lines but also coaxial, tel or DSL and ethernet lines. A $10 surge protector will not offer protection for those other lines. You really ought to protect those expensive devices as best you can, and this Tripp Lite will protect everything, from AC to coax, etc. Definitely a good investment. I feel like my home theater is finally safe!
|
|

|
I agree with what Danijel said. I don't think you'll find a solid monitor for under $200 at this size. You can find a nice TV though, like this Philips. It has a VGA PC input so you can absolutely hook up your laptop to it and use it as a monitor. This is under your size range and slightly over your price range, but it is a nice TV. something similar to this would probably be your best option. Happy hunting!

I think dual 560's would be a helluva lot faster than one 570. I would go that route.
|
|
|
|
|
Just for fun I went on to Amazon to see what you could actually get for under $150. This was about the best I could find. It's funny, on the link they describe it as "extremely powerful" and "super fast." Here is what you can expect for under 150: (it's used), Intel 2.8GHz LGA775 Dual Core CPU... okay, could be worse, 2GB DDR2 Interlaced RAM, 160GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive, and an optical drive that will even burn disks for you.
Sorry, it won't play games very well.
|
|
|
|
|
Here is another possibility for you.
Intel Core i7-2670QM 2.2 GHz
6GB DDR3
500 GB 7200 rpm hard drive
Nvidia GT 540 1 GB
I think those are pretty good numbers for a laptop right around $1000. I also think the 15.6-Inch screen is very portable.
|
|
|
|
|
Since you weren't very specific in your question regarding your needs for a desktop, I am going to assume yo are looking for and every day use sort of thing. I think this hP would do the trick for you. It has some pretty nice specs on the inside that would make it petty great for general, everyday use:
Intel Pentium Processor G620
Windows 7 Home Premium
4Gb ram
750gb hard drive (sata)
SuperMulti DVD burner
Intel HD graphics
Pretty nice for under $500! That will give you a lot of general use like word processing and surfing the net.
|
|
|
|
|
I guess ideally you would want something with super quick response time and at least 120Hz refresh rate, along with 1080p res. At this price it can be difficult to get all of this stuff, so you may have to settle for two out of the three. This here Samsung will give you 1080p (1920 x 1080) full HD resolution and a 2 ms response time. Very nice for gaming. I wish I could tell you that it was 120hz, but it's not. Oh well, the other specs make up for that if you ask me. For the price, this is is an excellent TV. Samsung is known for their sharp images. You will be happy with it!

I think this Vizio would be something to consider. Some very nice stuff going on here at a nice low price. It's in your price range, in your size range, and has built in wifi. It even has 1080p resolution with LED backlighting.
For internet, this Vizio comes pre-loaded with Amazon Instant Video, Flickr, Netflix, Rhapsody, Twitter, VUDU and Yahoo TV. In addition you will be able to get apps like NBD, ABC, Roxio Cinema and more. Vizio makes a great television, and at this price point I think this would be an excellent choice.

Obviously you're going to need something that will offer some very fast shutter speeds to catch the action. Dont' worry - the rebe is one of the fastest cameras around. Plenty of dslr's these days are capable of shooting action shots very well though, so I think it would be a good a idea to also look for some extra features that might be cool, such as continuous shooting, which this camera can do. It can do 3.0 fps (frames per second) continuous shooting up to approximately 3 JPEGs so you won't mis ANY action. It also has a 9 point high speed auto focus system to facilitate perfect images, even at high speeds.
Of course taking pictures fast is useless if you don't have a fast processor to deal with it all... luckily this guy comes with Canon's DIGIC 4 Image Processor, which ensures that images are captured, processed and saved at a very high speed. Add to this the ability to record HD video and you have yourself a wonderful tennis camera!

Whew tough question. The word "best" is so subjective, as is the term "for the money," as we all have different ideas of what makes for a good deal. Also, not knowing what exactly you want to get out of the camera leaves this thing wide open. However, I think this Nikon hits the mark. The D3100 is a perfect blend of quality, versatility, and affordability.
It is a DSLR, so you have the option of interchangeable lenses. It's a lower level DSLR so it's going to be simpler to use than some of the fancier ones. This one comes with really nice lens (3x 18-55mm Zoom-NIKKOR VR Image Stabilization lens), and altogether this bundle runs at $599. I think that is a good deal for this high caliber camera.
It has a 14.2-megapixel DX-format CMOS image sensor, can shoot HD video, and in general is going to take wonderful pics.
Also worth mentioning is its ease of use. Intuitive menus and a large selection of scene modes make getting the right settings incredibly easy, even for a beginner. It's a pro camera that a beginner can use. Very cool.
If I were to buy myself a new camera today, it would most likely be this one.

Well I personally think it comes down to either iPad 2 or Asus Eee Pad Transformer. The Eee Pad will give you slightly better graphics and also has the optional keyboard attachment. However, with iPad 2 you will have access to way more apps and games and I think a broad selection is super important... variety is the spice of life, as they say.
It's not like the graphics are terrible on the iPad, in fact they're actually pretty good. Plus, you're not going to be playing any super graphics intensive games on it anyways, so to me the display is absolutely good enough for gaming. You can always add a keyboard to iPad, too.

I'm pretty sure South Korea used to have the same outlets as the US, and for some reason they have changed and they are no longer the same shape or voltage. Our outlets are 110v, while theirs are 220. Also, their outlets are the two prong, round type. That being said, I don't think you need a converter, just an adapter. Make sure you get the two prong type! The adapter you will need is in the link I gave.... you could also wait until you get there and go into an "E-Mart" as they call it.... it's their version of Walmart. I'm sure they'll have one for you.

Really cool tablet, maybe the best competitor for iPad 2. The only downfall is it doesn't have as many apps. This thing is very powerful, very fast, and has the added optional bonus of the docking station with a full QWERTY keyboard, which basically turns it into a laptop.
It has a big 10" screen and access to the internet, thousands of apps, and even comes with a good Asus warranty. Asus has made a good addition to the tablet community with the Eee Pad.

Well I think this is really an age-based question, and not knowing the age of your child makes this sort of difficult, but I will answer to the best of my abilities. So, if your child is within the manufacturers recommended age of 4 - 8, I would definitely recommend this tablet. However, if he or she is older, I think you should look into a "grownup" tablet like an iPad or Galaxy or something. Reasons include: it will last longer, generally has cheaper apps to buy, way larger selection of apps, won't grow out of it, and the interface is just as easy (if not easier) than kid -based tablets.
But for the younger ones, Leap Pad is definitely a good way to go. It is affordable, DURABLE (very important!), has fun games as well as learning based games, and in reviews I have read kids seem to really enjoy using it.
There are plenty of games available for purchase online. Unfortunately, it only comes with like one or two preloaded games, so the rest have to be purchased. You can buy games for around $5 or a cartridge of games for around $25.
As for the educational aspect, the LeapPad adjusts the difficulty level depending on how well your child is doing while playing. It also remembers the child’s progress from game to game, and lets parents customize math skills and spelling lists in games, to keep your child stimulated.
Good system, definitely a great choice for the younger kids, just really think about age and what you expect to get out of it!

This one is slightly over your budget, but if you can swing it I think it's a nice step up from the under $300 ones I saw. If the specs are to crappy I think you will just get frustrated with it and wish you had bought a refurbished one (which is a good suggestion, actually) with some better specs. You get some decent power from this thing, including an AMD Athlon processor (1.2 GHz), 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM, 250 GB - Serial ATA-150HD (5400 rpm), 11.6" TFT screen, ATI Radeon X1270 graphics, Windows 7 Home Premium. Not too shabby, especially considering the ridiculously low price.

I think Acer is usually the way to go with budget laptops. Somehow they have figured out how to build powerful machines at a very low price, and they have a good reputation, too. With this guy you'll be getting a surprising array of features including:
A 15.6" HD widescreen LED-backlit display (1366 x 768 resolution), an AMD quad-core A6-3400M Accelerated Processor 1.4GHz (with TurboCORE Technology up to 2.3GHz), Windows 7 Home Premium, Microsoft Office Starter 2010, a 500GB hard drive, 4GB DDR3 memory, AMD Radeon HD 6520G graphics with 512MB of dedicated system memory and a multi-in-1 Digital Media Card Reader... plus more.
An ideal multi-use laptop if you ask me.

Here's another great option for you. Asus is good for stuff like this, like for gaming on a budget. I probably don't have to tell you that you could get a much better desktop for gaming for $1000 than a laptop, but if you want a laptop specifically I totally understand.
It has some solid technical deets:
-Intel Core i7-2670QM processor, 2.2 GHz
-6GB DDR3 DIMM (upgradable to 16GB)
-500 GB 7200 rpm hard drive
-15.6-Inch Screen
-Nvidia GT 540, 1 GB
-Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
So you'e definitely getting a capable machine, and at a great price.
It should be noted that some people complained about the laptop's bulk.... it's a little heavy and bulky I guess, but there is a lot of power packed inside there, so a little bulk should be expected.

This camera is in the "Ultra Thin" category... it is reeeally small. Still takes quality pictures, though, and has a bunch of features. I don't know how they jam so much into such a small casing, but they do.
It has a 10.2-megapixel "Exmor R" CMOS sensor that apparently gets "stunning" low light performance.... probably a slight exaggeration but it's good to know they're trying to make a point and shoot that can do low light. It has 4x zoom and a 3" LCD screen. You can even shoot video with it. The Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar Lenses are nice, you will get some beautiful pics on this thing.

This is under $200. It's cool because it's decently large, so it gives you a little extra rom to work with. This one is specifically designed for digital photo editing, but there are other models available that may better suit your needs.
This is one of their lower end models, but it has a bunch of cool features and actually performs very well, like one of its high-end cousins.
It has over 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity. Also, it has a textured work surface that gives you a familiar pen-on-paper feel. Wacom is great for this sort of thing...check it out!

I've heard some pretty darn good things about this Asus. I understand what these other gentlemen are saying about watching out for "gaming" laptops because it's easy to get ripped off and yeah, they can run hot occasionally. But they have done a good job with this thing, and I think you will find it useful for non-gaming activities as well.
I like that it's not overwhelmingly huge. When you get up to 17, 18 inches it seems to me like you should just get a desktop, because the portability aspect is gone.
Awesome specs inside: 2.2 GHz Intel i-7 2670QM Quad Core processor, 12 GB DIMM, 750 GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive, Nvidia GTX 560M 2GB GDDR5.... definitely can handle some serious WOWing.

Well I don't know if you want an earbud type thing or an over-ear, but I just got these for Christmas and I think they are awesome. A huge upgrade from the crap I had before. These obviously wouldn't be considered "audiophile" quality, but they deliver some crisp, clear sound. I'm somewhat of a musician myself and definitely appreciate high quality audio, and these definitely deliver. Very clear sound, and well rounded too, from high frequencies to low. They are also quite comfy in my ears, and come with interchangeable little ear cushions.

For general use I know that Mozy is highly rated, I think it's also the most used. It's nice because it's easy to use, inexpensive and flexible to your needs.
Right now for $6 a month you get 50 GB of storage and automatic backups. I don't know what you pay for Jungle Disk, but to me this seems quite reasonable. If you need more storage, you can opt for the 125 GB plan, which is good for up to 3 computers, but this will be closer to $10/month.
Basically, it takes advantage of your system's idle time to automatically back up your files.
People gave Mozy a hard time because the did away with their unlimited storage feature, but the fact remains it's a good company to trust your backups with.

At this price I don't really think you can beat this deal. Sharp is a great company for TVs. Some of their high-end models are rated among the very best in picture quality, so I would feel confident buying and intro. level unit from them.
Don't expect to be blown away! The 720p, 1366 x 768 res will look very nice, but it obviously won't compete with higher end models. It will, however, look pretty dang sharp and should have some bright, vivid colors for you to enjoy. It also has 3 HDMI ports and can even be used as a monitor, so it's multi-functional!

I see that a couple other people have already suggested this set, but I wanted to as well because I know these are good TVs!
Samsung, in general, gets very high regards for their image quality.... it is very high, and even pretty darn good on these lower priced units.
I think you will like this TV. It has a generous 26" screen, 720p. It has a 45,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.... this is not very much as compared to a $1500 TV, but it's actually pretty good and the picture will look very nice for you.
A couple extra features that you might like are the SRS' TheaterSound.... I really appreciate when the TV is capable of surround sound type audio. Also, it is Energy Star certified, and that will reflect on your electric bill! (in a good way!)

Wow it is sometimes tough to find a good TV to recommend that doesn't have a recurring problem! I see things like "fluctuating picture" or "unusable in 3D mode" a few times in a row and it makes me think there's probably some recurring problem that the company needs to deal with but hasn't yet....
Anyway, this samsung has no such problems and should prove to be an excellent choice for you.
For the record, I am actually recommending the 46" one, but I could't get the link to come up wit that one. The 55 inch will be awesome too, but is slightly over your proposed budget. The 46" fit's nicely into budget.
So here are some things I like about it that will make it great for movies: size, picture quality, 3D capable, beautiful beveled edge leaves almost no frame (looks really nice), and internet.
You want something big enough to suck you into the action, and 46" is big enough for that for sure. It is an LED tv, with 1080p, full HD viewing. Awesome! Picture quality will be wonderful for sure. It also has a pretty quick refresh rate, at 120Hz. If you also like watching sports, you will be happy to know that even the quickest action will be crystal clear at 120Hz.
Nw, if you're into watching movies you might like the option of 3D. Unfortunately this set does not come with 3D glasses, but luckily it's far enough under your budget to where you will be able to purchase some, no problemo.
Also worth mentioning is the fact that it is internet ready, and you will be able to find like a bazillion movies that you have never seen on the internet! Great all the way around if you ask me!

here is a very capable computer for you. this will be excellent for gaming and any other entertainment needs you may have. it should be able to play all of your favorite games with stunning graphics. here's a look at what's "under the hood":
- Intel Core i7-2670QM processor with NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M with 1GB of DDR3 VRAM graphics (NVIDIA is rad).... GHz will be 2.2
-6 GB DIMM
-640 GB (5400 rpm) hard drive
I think the 15.6" screen ( LED-backlit HD display) is perfect because it's pretty large but not so huge that it spoils the portability aspect.... like to me, if you're going to get an 18" laptop, why not just get a desktop?!

I actually have a couple different suggestions for you, but I think this might be your best choice all the way around (in terms of specs, price, and your uses). I think a Macbook Pro or a Qosmio X505 would do the job for you, too. I just don't know your price range or PC/Mac preferences. But back to the Asus.
This is a sweet computer dude! Definitely great for gaming, definitely great for programming. It's built with some awesome specifications, that are geared toward someone with your needs: It has an Intel Core i7-2630QM processor, 8GB DDR3 (with 4 SODIMM sockets, upgradable to 16GB) 750GB (5400 RPM) hard drive, 15.6-Inch Full HD (1920x1080) LED Display, AND Nvidia GTX 560M Graphics with 2GB GDDR5. All good stuff for your purposes. Also, Asus offers a pretty nice warranty, which is going to be very useful for you, as college can be a rough place for electronics to hang out.
So it has lots of power, it's fast, and has awesome graphics. Now the negs.... basically, it's a bit bulky and doesn't have great battery life. To me, these are things I could live with. In college I was so used to carrying around tons of weigh in my pack.... just take out you history book before you put the computer in. Problem solved. (Also remember to charge it before class!) But class is only an hour or two, so your Asus will have no problem making it through that much. Great laptop! Check it out!

I think as far as value goes you can't beat Acer (Asus is great, too). I feel like these two companies have figured out how to make a great laptop for the budget conscious without undermining the integrity of the machine. It's going to be a solid build and will perform at a fairly high level.
The specs are quite good on this thing. It comes with an Intel Core i3-2330M processor at 2.20GHz (very respectable), Windows 7 Home Premium, a 14.0" HD widescreen LED-backlit display, Intel HD Graphics 3000 (yup, you even get a graphics card), 500GB SATA hard drive (pretty darn big!), an 8X DVD drive, a built-In HD 1.3MP Webcam, a multi-in-1 Digital Media Card Reader, and even more.
Most important is that processor (2.2GHz is fast and will enable decent multitasking abilities), the big hard drive, and also you're getting 4GB DDR3 memory, which I am sure will be plenty for your parents, unless they do some serious gaming or something.
If they would consider a desktop, I would suggest the HP Touchsmart. It's a touchscreen desktop computer (how cool is that!?) that's in your price range. I want to get one for my parents because I think that sounds like a really cool idea! Good luck on your hunt!

I'm no motherboard genius, but a little internet research brought this up repeatedly as a well received mobo in general. It seems to be pretty solid and reliable.
I guess some people have had an issue with so-called 'boot loop', where it can't get passed the boot up sequence, but googling the problem will bring up some answers to help you get around it.

I think it's a good idea to buy a camera that will allow for some extra space in your budget. This way you can buy some awesome lenses and accessories that will really help you make the most of your wildlife photos.
With wildlife photography especially, you need need need a telephoto lens. The reason is pretty obvious: animals aren't too partial to human beings approaching them and snapping pictures.... especially if we're talking about big animals or dangerous animals (or big AND dangerous animals!)
So you will need to keep your distance. There are thousands of lenses to choose from, all with different zoom capabilities and features, and the right lens for you warrants another whole discussion in itself! (But you'll probably at least want a 300mm F2.8 and either a 500mm F4 or 600mm F4... or something similar)
But let's talk about the camera. 18 megapixels is great for wildlife shooting. This means you will be able to blow up the image without losing clarity, which will make for more impressive prints. The CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor (along with ISO 100-6400, expandable to 12800) means you can expect excellent color reproduction as well as excellent low light shots.
Another cool feature with this camera is that it has a 0.1 second start-up time, speedy autofocus and minimal shutter lag, so you won't miss anything due to slow operation. The EOS 60D will capture even rapidly-occurring scenes with utmost precision. Also, able to shoot up to 5.3 frames per second, you can get some great action shots of things that are seriously in motion.

Some features you probably need when considering a great laptop for business: long battery life and durable build for travel, at least a 500 gb hard drive and 4 gb RAM, HDMI/USB connection, wifi, decent graphics, and a decent operating system. Beyond that, I don't think you need a power house of any sort. I think the Timeline would be an excellent choice at this price point.
You're getting 4GB of installed DDR3...this should be enough for your business needs, as should the 640 GB SATA hard drive and the 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5-480M dual-core processor. I am guessing you're mostly doing presentations, running some company software, meetings, some internet use, flow charts of some sort (I am no businessman, but I know you probably don't need super computing power for your uses). I think all these specs are right on the money.
You get 4 USB 2 ports (I know...too bad there is no USB 3, but you can't win 'em all), HDMI, up to 8 hours battery life is what they claim.
It's getting on the large side, right at the cusp of being too large to be portable, but it is still easily portable at this size. It only weighs 5.4 pounds.
I think it's a good choice!

Sony's Vaio is, in general, a very nice piece of machinery. This model, in particular, is an absolute powerhouse and should be a 'rock star' for you, no problem!
Besides its roomy 16.4" LED backlit screen (which is still small enough to be easily carried around), and awesome connectivity (2x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0; HDMI port, VGA port, etc), the internal specs on this thing are spectacular.
You're looking at a huge SSD drive, with 512 GB.... I mean that is big for SSD. You're also looking at 16 GB RAM and an Intel Core i7-2860QM processor at 2.50GHz, 3.60GHz with Turbo Boost.
This thing is a monster! Straight up performance.
Pretty sure you can also pair this with a slice battery and get like 600 minutes of battery time.
This thing will definitely get you through college with no problems! Except maybe some jealous roomies....

Tough price range here.... lots of units in this range tend to have one huge issue that's a deal breaker, like zero battery life or only 1GB RAM (rendering it almost useless, like a certain Lenovo I was looking at...) but this one seems to have enough oomph in every area to make it worth considering.
The only drawback I see is that it only runs at 1.0 GHz, with its AMD Dual-Core C-50 processor. Besides that, you're looking at a 2GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory (which is expandable to 8GB), a 250GB SATA hard drive, 2-in-1 memory card reader, a webcam with microphone, Windows 7, 3 USB 2 ports, a DVD burner, and (they claim) up to 4.5 hours battery life.
So it will perform your every day, simple functions. Don't try any serious gaming or anything, but word processing and internet and stuff will be great on this little guy.

When I am thinking about a laptop for kids, I think about the following criteria: it needs to be small and light, durable, easy to use, fun to use, able to play simple games, and have a long lifespan. For all of these reasons I think Macbook Air would be an excellent choice for you. Way under your price point, too.
Going right through my list, we'll start at small and light. You want something that your child can easily carry around without danger of dropping it, or it being too much to handle. Air is perfect for this, as it only weighs 2.96 lbs and its dimensions are 12.8 x 8.94 x 0.68 inches (WxDxH) which is quite small.
As far as durability, Air is enclosed in an aluminum shell that is quite durable, and if you add a case to that it wil be very durable. This particular model has a 256 gb SSD (it's also available with 128 gb for cheaper) which adds to its durability factor, as here are no moving parts.
Macs are very simple to use across the board... I think most anyone will agree with that. Intuitive menus and obvious icons make using a Mac fun and simple as can be, perfect for a child.
Now, let's talk gaming. The only drawback with an Air is that there is no optical drive... however there are two easy ways around this. 1) Buy an external optical drive. These are very cheap and easy to use, and usually connect via usb for super easy use, or 2) OS X Lion offers the DVD or CD sharing feature, which lets you wirelessly "borrow" the optical drive of a nearby Mac or PC, so basically you have and optical drive but don't have to lug it around, or worry about it breaking.
One last thing... if your child is pretty young, you probably want this investment to last a few years so they can get some real use out of it. Well macs are known for their long lifespan and continued usability throughout the years. Mine is 3 years old and still works perfectly!

There's just nothing not to like about the Pro! This is an incredibly powerful and versatile machine (as you probably know already!) and I do think it would be your best choice. I had a Macbook all through school (though not a Pro) and it did absolutely everything I ever needed, no problem. I took music classes, business classes, art classes, history classes, and my Mac was there to assist me the whole time. I never once thought 'I wish I had a PC'! (but I did think 'I could use a Macbook Pro!)
For college you need a fast, powerful computer that's going to last the whole time you're in school.
Fast and powerful? The 2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 processor is super fast... this new i series processor is awesome. You're also looking at 4 GB (1333MHz) DDR3 SDRAM and a 500GB 5400rpm hard drive. It will be fast and competitive with anything out there, and will definitely help you get ahead of the game.
If you're at school for a long time working, you can count on about 6 -7 hours battery life to get you through the day... another nice feature.
Is it going to last throughout your scholastic career? Actually, it probably is. I don't know what the average life span is for a Mac, but I'm at 3 years and my girlfriend is at 4 on her macbook.... although she recently upgraded to an iPad. But hers still works near perfectly. Apple offers a good warranty, and like any big investment it's a good idea to go ahead and purchase it.
Take care of it and it will take care of you!

This is a tough one. I'm trying to think of what would make a laptop specifically adept for kids, and I size, durability, and usability top the list.
I was initially looking at Kidscomputers.com. They make real laptops (complete with Intel ATOM 1.66GHZ, 1.0 GB DDR2 RAM, 160 GB SATA Hard Drive....) but there is nothing kid-specific about them, other than they look like toys. If you're gonna spend upwards of $800 on a laptop, you might as well get a real one that's gonna last!
I think an Air would be perfect.
It's a great size for a youngster. 11.6" is very doable. Small and lightweight, but the screen size is still reasonable. It only weighs 2.4 lbs and is very slim.
It's pretty good with durability, too. Enclosed in aluminum, you add a shell to the outside and it will be very solid indeed. Plus, Apple offers a nice warranty that you should definitely purchase...as we all know kids can get a bit rambunctious. I also want to mention right along with durability goes longevity. Macs are known for lasting and working a long long time. After 3 years, mine still works almost exactly the same as it did when I got it. Very impressed!
Usability with a Mac is a good as it gets. You could probably literally teach a monkey to open up iTunes and pick a song.... it's just that simple. All icons or simply laid out menus.
I guess another thing to consider is computing power, but I doubt a child will care too much about that. However, if they do (or if you do) you should check out the specs on the link. It's got a good, fast processor, and it also has a Solid State Drive, which actually adds to its durability, as there are no moving parts in it.
This thing is way under your budjet and is a great computer. Definitely consider Air!

I've heard good things about this stuff. I guess it's a cost effective way to add some serious protein and calories to your diet. It's also a decently healthy option...not too much sugar or other crap that you really don't need. Look into it.

I'll recommend this one to you for a few reasons.
1) Reputable company

5) Cool and quiet operation
A good purchase all the way around if you ask me!

This would be another one to consider! This or the Asus would be a fantastic choice.
I think anything under $500 is a pretty darn good deal for a new tablet. I've heard it takes a minute to get used to it (especially as compared to an iPad) because it's set up slightly differently, but once you get the hang of it it becomes a very powerful tool.

If I were to buy one it would be this one!
I like the easy clean oil drain thingy they've got going on... by far the worst part of deep frying is dealing with all that oil, so I'm glad they have though of a good way yo deal with it.
It also has an adjustable temperature, digital timer, and mesh basket that rotates to use less oil.
Seems like a real winner to me.

These work ok, and I think they are worth the price for the insulation they provide.
The only annoying thing is if the fit isn't just right it will keep getting snagged. Like it works on my front door just fine but on my back one the frame is a bit funky and so it get caught on it. Besides that it's a pretty good little device.

If it were me, I would buy on this website because they have a ton of useful information about cats... use it to make the best possible purchase.
I think a direct fit is the way to go. If you click on the link then on your exact Jeep model you will find a nice suggestion for you. For around $130 you can get a pretty nice cat. Installing it will require some welding and metal work, so take it to a pro if you don't have the right skills!

If price is not an issue, maybe you should take a look at this beast. Aside from the fact that is a bit over the top, I think it is actually a pretty cool idea.
It has a touchscreen for heavens sake! How could it not be cool?
But I don't think of it as a remote, more like a command center for your home theater entertainment system. Sounds way cooler like that. For real though, it's not really a remote, it's a control center, and it only makes sense to have all of your components accessible from the same piece of equipment.
Go all out and ensure you never have to buy another remote again!

Yeah Apple TV is limited to 720p content. However, most people will agree that 720p doesn't necessarily mean lower image quality. According to Cnet, "When it comes to streaming video, bit rate is much more important than resolution. Video bit rate basically states how much information is being used to create the video, and in general, the more information the better."
Basically, if you upscale a low bitrate video to 1080p (like you might do on youtube) it will still look crappy, even though it's technically 1080p.
For average sized TV's (below, say, 50") you won't really be able to tell the difference between 1080 and 720 if you are streaming video on your Apple TV. It's just not that noticeable. Even networks like Fox and ABC use 720 for their HD shows.
I think you will be happy with your Apple TV.

I would say this looks like a good option. Only $30! Wow I remember when these first came out... couldn't quite get one for that price! I guess this is actually a rebranded Philips machine.... I don't know if that bothers you or not, but there's nothing wrong with it.

My good friend is one of those crazy people who runs marathons and ULTRA marathons (anything longer than a traditional marathon). He actually just ran a freaking 100 mile race - I swear I am not making this up. It was his second, he did one a few months back, too.
Anyway, I asked him about those shoes one time and he said he has a pair that he wears a lot to run in, although not for marathons.
It's like a revolution in footwear called 'naked running' or something. The idea is to use your natural, ergonomic foot shape to enhance your performance. See, when Nike started mass producing 'running' shoes, everyone bought into it and assumed they had done their research and that their shoes were the best design for running in. As it turns out, this may not be the case. Our bodies have been evolving for thousands of years to hone certain skills like running, and strapping on those padded, oddly shaped shoes may in fact be a hinderance.
If you like to run you should try a pair. My buddy says it's a pretty cool experience, and really is the way we were meant to run.

This is the case my bro has. It's super rugged and tough tough tough. Really, like indestructible. However, there is one issue with it....the holster clip is CRAP! Weak weak weak.... his broke off within a week. That's ok though, he didn't buy it for the clip, he bought it to protect his phone, and that it does.

You could look into this one, too. It seems decent enough and shoots widescreen HD 1080p. Definitely a good price.

I have actually heard good things about this mic, despite its unorthodox look.
It would be great for web shorts and live streaming because it looks so unusual and fun!
It comes with a stand and USB cable and apparently captures some nice rich sound. Definitely worth a look. especially at this great price.

I don't see 'em for less than $75... unless maybe you went used, which you probly don't want to do.
These are cool shoes though! I've never seen these before, and I like them! Now I want some...

Buy it now! Only $99!!

They also have a 22" if you prefer. This is a solid monitor for sure, and like James said after a 15" this one will blow him away! (The Asus he suggested looks like another nice option for you)
This one has 1920 X 1080p full HD resolution, so the display will be very nice. Crisp and clear.
It's also LED backlit, which saves you a little on power consumption (and is also why they advertise it as a 'green' monitor, which may be a stretch...)
But this would certainly be a good choice, he will love it!

For just under $500 you could pick up this nice Sony camcorder. I think this is a great option for you.
It records in full HD (1920x1080), has a wide angle lens, and even has a remarkable 42x extended zoom (although some of the reviews say it's only 30x zoom, which is still fantastic).
But really I think it would be great for you because it's going to be easy to use . Easy to film, and easy to dump onto your computer. You don't want anything super complicated for home videos, just something reliable and easy.
|
|
|
|
|
I think this would be a good choice. FM transmitters can be a little touchy sometimes, but from reviews this one seems pretty reliable. It will hold up to 1999 mp3's, which will certainly last you through a coupla road trips.
It charges through the cig lighter (not usb) but it does have a slot for a usb stick.
It also comes with a remote, which seems kind of silly in a car, but it's nice to have that so you don't have to fumble with the buttons on the interface if you're driving alone. Just a bit easier and safer.

I know you said you didn't want a touchscreen, but $300 puts you in that range, and once you get one you won't ever go back!
I just got an iPhone 4 for $100 through Verizon with an upgrade and a 2 year agreement.
I never thought I would be a smart phone guy, but holy moly it is amazing. I feel like I am instantly smarter because everything is right at my fingertips.
The phone is exceptionally easy to use as a phone, and texting is actually easier than on a pad (I think) because it auto corrects and makes it super fast. Everything on an iPhone is just so darn easy to use, I just love it!! Highly recommended, there's no way you could not like it!

This may be an obvious suggestion... I mean I know a lot of people use these and maybe you have, too. I think these are great cards. Extremely fast frames, amazing clarity.
Very good graphics card for the money.

|
|
|
|
Sorry, this one is also over your price point but I think it would be a really good choice for you. It comes in around $380 which isn't too bad. It's got an Nvidia graphics card and can play 1080p on your tv...also has an HDMI. Great for streaming Hulu or whatever you plan on doing.
I think this looks like a great option for a HTPC.... it will allow you to do a lot from your television.

I've had some luck with this thing. It has the telescoping pole, so reach shouldn't be an issue. It also cleans the blades rather well on every side.
My only complaint with it is that it fills up with dust really quick, so I constantly have to clean it off.... but it's not like I clean the fan every day, so I don't mind the extra work now and then.
|
|

Try these refurbished ones..... I am assuming by 'new' you meant the 4th generation... and aren't ruling out refurbished ones. They work splendidly and are amazingly cheap.

Hey there,
I picked up one of these last year and I think it has been a great purchase. It absolutely does what it claims to do, and that is keep my food fresh and more flavorful for longer.
It seals the bags with two separate seals, so the bags certainly don't ever leak air.
I see that some people have complained that the motor goes out or isn't strong enough after awhile. Well, I can't really comment on that, as mine is still working fine. Maybe certain units are duds, I don't know, but mine is good!

Awesome bread maker.
There isn't much in this world better than freshly baked bread, eh? I like this machine simply because it's easy to use. Follow the directions and included recipes, (which is simple as just adding the ingredients to the machine) and wait for it to bake.
You will find that some of the recipes need a little tweaking to perfect them... go ahead and tweak as needed. Make your own recipes, get creative.
One important thing to note with this machine (or any bread machine) is that you MUST use bread flour...not all-purpose four. They are different and even though it says 'all-purpose' it's not for bread machines! Slight misnomer I would say.

I think electric leaf blowers are superior to gas powered ones because they are lighter, quieter and easier to use. I also have to say I think cordless blowers are inferior to corded ones because they don't run for long enough to clear my whole yard (I clear my lawn, too, not just walkways).
As far as having a cord attached, it's a little annoying sometimes, but it's better than waiting around for my leaf blower to recharge! I guess it does depend on what your use will be. For me, the cord is a welcome alternative to the weight and noise of a gas powered blower.
This is the one I own, and I like it pretty well. If you are considering a Toro brand, make sure you get this one as compared to the cheaper one because this model has a metal impeller, as opposed to the plastic on the other model.
BTW...great for mulching leaves, too!

I don't think looking at a computer screen all day is particularly harmful, Kristin, as long as you keep a few things in mind, like taking breaks, not sitting too close, and having adequate lighting. I think what Cody said is good, too. Blink a lot, or your eyes are liable to dry up!

You should totally go with the good old BOB bag.
Poor BOB. Everyone loves beating the hell out of him! I used to have one of these, but when I moved I decided it was one of the things I would be able to do without. But I did love having BOB around. Two things I didn't like were 1) the fill hole at the bottom is really small. I filled it with water, which worked ok, but I don't know how anyone would get all that sand in there, short of scooping it in through a funnel 2) I guess there's not really anything you can do about this, but BOB is pretty darn loud when you hit him hard... the base will even adjust and move around. This is one of the reasons I opted not to take it with me in my move, because I am moving into an apartment and it would be too much of a ruckus for the neighbs.
It's a great bag for exactly what you want it for though. It's a good amount of cushion for punching, in that it's padded but still feels solid when you hit it. It's got multiple height settings, so that shouldn't be an issue.
BOB is a good purchase, just consider what I told about him before committing to it.

If you're looking for a non-mac computer I would suggest this Toshiba Satellite. Great laptop. Comes with lots of memory.... and it's really fast.
It comes loaded with 4GB DDR3, a 640GB sata hard drive, Windows 7 home premium, and an intel dual core processor 'sandy bridge'. It's fast fast fast.
Toshiba makes one of the top 3 best ranked laptops right now, so you will be in good hands.
I bought this after my macbook died and am very happy with it....it's every bit as fast and cheaper, too!!

I have to recommend this LG, the TV I am still geeked to own even after 6 months of using it daily. I've always wanted a 55 incher... I think it's the perfect TV size. It's BIG, but not over the top.
What I like about it: it's big!, it's sleek and attractive, lots of inputs-all the ones you will need, wide viewing angle, very simple and easy to use remote, and last but certainly not least, the picture is absolutely beautiful.
The only blah thing is that it comes with a weird picture setting...the type that makes the image look really fake. You know what I'm talking about? Where the movie looks like a silly soap opera because the frame rate is off? You just have to fiddle with the settings :)

Kelty makes some incredible outdoor gear. I don't own this bag but I do use their packs and they are just awesome. I think this is a reasonable price, too, for a 4 season bag of this high quality.

Here's another one to consider. It works perfectly with iPad. A little cheaper than apple products, though. Light and portable, comfortable typing angle. Nice keyboard!

For that camera you will either need one of those memory sticks or one of these CF cards. yeah they're a bit pricey but HOLY MOLEY they are fast. Truly amazing, especially for burst photography.

This one has an optical audio input, which should work with your flatscreen. It's not a powerhouse system by any means, but don't expect that at this price!
Sony makes a decent receiver.... I find that with a Sony you will get really good electronics, build, and durability, but not as good sound quality as, say, an Onkyo....but again, at this price point you really can't be too picky.
It will certainly get the job done...I think you will be happy with it.

You didn't mention an alarm clock feature as being necessary, so I am recommending this one to you....it does not have and alarm clock, and the ipod alarm clock doesn't seem to work with it, either. That being out of the way, this cube is awesome!
For its small size it actually cranks out a decent amount of sound. It's clear - not muddy at all - which is really nice. I like to listen to jazz and it's nice to have a crisp, clear sound.
The color changing thing is cool. There are three modes to choose from- a solid color that you choose, revolving through the colors one at a time, or a melting effect where all the colors morph into each other slowly.
It sounds silly, but it is pretty cool, and makes for an excellent nightlight.
I like mine a lot, I think it's fun and you will like it!

This is the best one I have found... You should look into it, Frank.
Aside from its slightly delicate build (cheap plastic), this thing just about perfect. What do I like so much about it? Well , first of all, usb2 = really fast transfer speeds. Also, it's easy to set up and start using right away. In fact, you don't need to install any drivers to use it. It's also very versatile, a true 8 in 1 reader. Oh and it looks nice, too. Stylish design.
You won't find a much better reader, as far as I'm aware of.

Dude these are the same kind that you find in hotels! I don't own one but I've used them a thousand times when I've stayed in hotels.
Simply put, they make a perfect belgian waffle every time.
They take al the guess work out of it. You add the batter, flip the handle over, and wait for the beep. That's it. Perfect belgian waffles are way better than your average waffle, if you ask me.

JSYK you don't NEED a mousepad...those optical mice should work on just about any surface, provided it's not too shiny or reflective (that will distort reading the mouse gets from the surface). Cloth is a perfect material, or anything similar.

This is an awesome full tower case dude. It's very large so there is lots of space inside to work (and lots of space for hiding cables). I have one right now that I built, and one from years past, too. I was so pleased with my previous one, I had to get another!
This unit in particular is great for gaming, I would say, because it is REALLY good at staying cool. Multiple fans (including a very large one in front) move at slower speeds to move a lot of air.....and quietly. It is also liquid cooled, and adding said liquid is easy.
And one more thing worth mentioning is the way it looks...badass and rugged if you ask me.
This thing is only $150. I would say there is no reason to ever pay more than that for a tower when one exists that is this high quality for this low price!

Ok I bought this one about a year and a half ago, maybe two years. So, it's not brand new on the market.
But if you are interested in the best monitor for the price, you should really look into this one. The price is amazing (wish it was like that when I bought it!)
It's HD quality, and the screen resolution is really good, I mean I don't do graphic design or anything, but I do like a clean, lear screen, and this one definitely delivers.
Basically, I have no complaints, and at this price it will be hard to beat this deal!

I've bought some equipment from this site before. I like it because they have a HUGE selection and very competitive prices. I would also look into REI. They have some great equipment, and they offer a lifetime guarantee on most of their products.

The Dell Inspiron is a pretty darn nice desktop computer. It's a little pricey, but it is really fast and reliable. I have one and it has given me absolutely no problems, about 6 months in. I think it's worth the price for sure.

This will definitely work on both mac and pc operating systems. They also have 'em available in many different sizes, in case 500gb isn't enough.
It's USB powered...and best of all there is no software to install...plug 'n play baby!

This would be a great washer for you to consider, although it's not quite full load. It's about 2/3 size (12 lb capacity) and definitely portable. At right around $500 it's a pretty darn good deal if you ask me.

This is an amazing LCD monitor! If you are doing any serious graphic design work (or photography) this will more than suit your needs. The color reproduction is really remarkable.
I've had mine for couple years now, so there might actually be a newer model, but this is a really nice monitor and you won't be disappointed.

Definitely look into the Chromebook. It's an internet based laptop that runs everything Google. If you mostly want a computer for net surfin' and stuff this is the one for you.... just under $500.

I would suggest something like this that has a fan in it, otherwise the heat it produces will just hang out in a cloud around the unit. I have had that problem before, where it's only warm directly around the heating device, and that is no good. This will be nice in a small room.
|
|
|
|
|
This is a really cool idea! I actually didn't even know this sort of thing existed, but now that I do, I have to get some for myself. Apparently they're quite easy to install and get up and running, on a road bike.... not quite big enough for the larger mountain bike tires.
They won't provide you with headlight vision, but they will make you more visible to the people around you. This is good, because one thing I have noticed about biking in the city is that a lot of people are completely clueless as to what is going on around them, and it can be really dangerous!

I was thinking a custom Tee shirt would be pretty awesome and certainly unique. I had some made for my friends who were getting married (I just couldn't bring myself to buy them a boring old toaster) and they turned out awesome! They had all these graphics, text styles, different tee shirt types, completely customizable. It was really fun.
See if there's a place you can do it locally, because it's way better to be there when they do it, so you can get it all just right.

|
I think this would be a great option for you....that LG looks like it's a really nice machine as well.
This one has a little bit less room inside, but that will translate to lower energy costs!
It's stackable and front loading. It also has some sort of vibration reducing technology that makes it super duper quiet.
|
|

|
|
Yeah I think any decent label writer will print out barcodes for you. I use this label writer and it's fantastic.... easily print shipping labels and stuff. It's awesome. Really easy to set up...almost instant. It does have to be connected to a computer to work...jsyk.

These are preeeeeeeeeetty ridiculous. A hefty chunk of change, but one hell of a gaming computer. It's got an intel core i7-960 3.2 GHz processor, a 2TB hard drive capacity, freakin 12gb ddr3 and 64gb ssd.
This is a lot of power!!! Only for the real serious gamer....otherwise it's kind of a waste of money.
They also make cheaper models with less memory and stuff, but this is their beast right here.

Hi Candice, I don't own this product, but it looks like a fantastic little projector. If I was in the market I think I would opt for this one. Its 200 lumens is not a ton, but the LED digital based light source will give it some vibrant colors, sort of making up for the low lumens. It seems the only image concern would be that the black colors are a little washed out.
In short, it will produce a large, clear image for you and is extremely portable. Looks good to me!

I think this wooden one is charming! I really like the design - I'm not interested in the type that sits directly on my lap...I find this quite irritating. I like to be able to move around without disturbing the desk, which usually has a cup of coffee or some beverage on it.
I saw a bad review for this on Amazon regarding build quality... well it's certainly not bomb-proof, but as long as you are reasonably gentle and use it how it's meant to be used, it will be fine.

|
This is a great option for you right here. I have these M-Audios set up in my home office area and they kick out a really good amount of sound....rich, full beautiful sound. I don't personally find a woofer necessary for such a set up...these produce plenty of sound for my gaming/casual music listening experience.
If you don't believe me, look all over the internet at all the raving reviews!

Nikon's great camera company... I would go with one of theirs. This mirrorless thing is interesting....it's like in between a dslr and a compact digital. It's very portable and compact, and you can easily swap out lenses for the right one, any time., giving it great versatility to go with its compact size. I think we will see these become more and more popular in the near future.
Also check out the Sony Nex 5..... very cool looking!

3M is good at making stuff like this. They actually use up to 25% pre-consumer recycled content for this item, which makes me happy to buy it.
It gives me the support I need without being to squishy or too hard. I like the material...it feels soft on my wrist. Just right! Will definitely help with your carpal tunnel.

Okay so this one was ranked #1 on pc world's top 5 monochrome lasers chart...in 2007. However, its technology still holds up today and it is a fabulous laser printer for a small office situation.
Cranks out about 30 ppm (depending on use) and it's got a nice clear resolution of 1200x1200 dots per inch.
Certainly a nice deal at around $150.

This is a decent piano. It's nothing fancy, but it falls well within your budget.
It has semi weighted keys.
It's not quite a full keyboard though - -only 76 keys. Keep this in mind.

If you only need it for one room I would recommend something small and versatile like this. It's definitely enough for one room, and it also comes apart into a hand vacuum, so you can use it all around the house for different purposes. It's bagless, too!

I have one of these cool looking retro lanterns for camping. It's absolutely perfect for me! I go camping about, oh maybe 5-6 times in the summer time... sometimes more. I've use this thing for the last year and a half or so with no complaints. It has rechargeable batteries, and it gets a solid 7, 8 hours of run time on a full charge. Well, let's just say it always gets me through a weekend's worth of camping!
It can be really bright if you need it to be.
It's rather heavy, so don't take it backpacking!

I think some sort of clear coat epoxy would be a good idea. Only apply it to the seals or joints where water could possibly get in. Where exactly is the leak? Could it be from the front windshield or loose door seal? Sometimes those seals get old and wear out, letting in moisture.

These are pretty nice but also pretty quiet. They're ideal for studio work and acoustic gigs and that sort of thing. Plus, take off the rubber band and you've got yourself two shakers!

This seems like anice headlight Sean, based on the reviews at least. I don't own one, but I was curious about this, too, although I am looking for more of a spotlight type thing so I can ride in the dark.
This light seems very bright! LED's always are. It also seems a little delicate, which I assumed for the cheap price.
Seems like a good deal to me.

I think dry rot is something that happens to any tire, no matter what you do, and after a certain amount of time it's basically inevitable. It's a product of age, heat, UV rays, and general environmental factors that will cause your tires to deteriorate after a while.
Tire companies try to combat this with UV protectant coatings, but in time this coating will wear off and all that's left is the basic rubber. Like anything else, rubber is susceptible to wear from the environment, and it eventually breaks down and develop little cracks.... which is the real killer, because now all the elements can get inside the tire.
The fact that your tires get a lot of abuse (road wear, lots of direct sunlight, lots of fluctuating temperatures) is what really accelerates the process and creates what we call dry rot. You could also call it 'wear and tear' or 'an old tire'.
To postpone you dry rot, try to keep your tires clean and away from heat sources as much as possible. However, there comes a time where you just have to go buy some new tires, end of story.
Hope this helps!

I also have a Trane furnace and it has been very reliable.... a little pricey though. As far as mid-range furnaces, I would suggest Rheem or Armstrong. You get a lot of furnace for you money.

Yes a very annoying pop up!
It's a program that's supposed to help you find SAFE apps for your computer.
It's just another way the marketing company w3i tries to connect people with the right apps for them. Somehow, they make money by suggesting certain companies' products.
What I don't know is how they get through the pop up blocker.
But don't worry, it's not a virus or anything!

Hey there Frank, I use this nailer and it is a real workhorse. A very consistent shooter. Easy to load the magazine, and you can use 2" - 3 1/2" framing nails in it. The best part about it is its weight - it's probably the lightest framing gun I've ever held, no joke. Only 7 pounds. It almost seems too light! But it manages to nail just fine.
I highly recommend this gun. It's equally perfect for household projects and on a job site, building houses.

I would have to recommend the glove I use - this Rawlings glove. I got it last summer some time just for casual, tossing the ball around type stuff. It's awesome because it's a very soft leather, like it's already broken in. Somewhat malleable. It's a pleasure to use right away - no break in time is necessary.

This looks like the best deal to me. A lot of suction power for a reasonable price. Does wet/dry vacuuming.
I think a 5 gallon tank will be all you need for intermittent vacuuming... unless you own a wood shop or something. This is good for casual home use.

I have this leash for my poochie, and I think it's the best because the lock/release function is very easy to operate. Other than that, it's your basic retractable leash. (have you ever used one where it's hard to make it lock? Soooo annoying. This one isn't like that)

I would agree with Sean, in that it's probably a bigger project than you would think. There's no easy way to build a deck, and there's no quick way. There's also no way to build one without permanently fixing it to the ground.
Decks are awesome, but make sure you will be living in that spot for awhile, because if you leave, the deck's gonna stay! I don't know your living situation, but a fourplex doesn't sound like and ideal spot for a deck, only because it doesn't sound permanent. However, like I said, I don't know your living situation, so maybe a deck it exactly what you need!

I would have to suggest this classic pajama. They are 100% cotton. As far as warmth and not sweating go, cotton will be your best bet. They are classy dude! Throw on a tie and wear this out to dinner :-)

I think this is a great gift idea for a babysitter. I don't think it's too impersonal because your babysitter, though close to you, is probably not a real tight friend or anything. She's not expecting you to go all out for her! This would be more than enough, as far as I'm concerned.

If you want results look no further! This is the brush you need.
The stainless steel design is tough enough to withstand loads and loads of dishes. The heads are interchangeable, and you can get different heads like brushes or sponges.
It squirts soap so you don't have to keep reaching for the soap bottle.
It's tough and it's quick. Sounds like results to me!

I would say this is the ultimate do it all, standard vacuum cleaner. It does exactly what a vacuum should.
It has lots of suction power, enough for my thick carpet and two rowdy boys.
I has a hose that is easily detachable and retachable. It easily reaches all the hard to get areas.
The self propelled feature is awesome for me. I live in a large ranch style home, and this vacuum is a little heavy, so the self propelled part is a huge help, and a big burden off my shoulders.

Wow these are some Gorgeous boots...almost too nice to take out in the snow!

This here is a great printer, not only for pictures, but for everything! It has wireless capabilities, which is awesome. I have a Mac, (bluetooth included) so I just bought the adapter and VOILA! wireless printing. I love that.
Makes high quality, clear prints for sure.
As far as speed, it's pretty fast at 20 ppm black and 14 ppm color.
It's very portable and sleek...doesn't take up much space at all.
I am very happy with it. No Complaints yet!

These will do an excellent job at protecting not only your wrists but your hands as well. Falls can be nasty, and your natural instinct is to protect yourself with your hands, so there's no such thing as too much protection!

This is a super fun toy for $40. Two problems with it: a full charge only lasts about 15 minutes in the water. Also, the motors don't get the same amount of juice from the battery, so it doesn't really go in a straight line. But you can steer it okay and make it go where you want it.
It's really fast and fun though, and for $40 you can't go wrong!

I would suggest getting a tub like this with a massive variety of pieces. This way you can create whatever you want, and there are endless possibilities. YOu can make cars that are pretty awesome. You can also add little motors to make the cars gon on their own.

this is a good BASIC security box. it will not protect your valuables from a burglar who is intent on stealing your valuables.
it will, however, keep things safe that need to be kept away from certain people. for example, keeping ammo out of the hands of your children. this is a good box for that. also, it's great for locking up important documents like birth certificates or social security cards or passports.
it adds a layer of security, but isn't complete security on its own.

Uh oh.... an unhappy girlfriend is certainly no fun at all.
I would suggest cooking her an amazing gourmet meal. Have some nice wine, some appetizers, a big main course and dessert.
Everyone loves a good home cooked meal, and if you pull it off well she will be very impressed!

For right around 50 dollars this is a badass drill. It charges pretty quick, and keeps that charge for a while. The swivel neck is extremely useful, and the more you use it the more useful you realize it is... sometimes I wonder how I did these little jobs without it.
It's definitely only designed for light household work. It doesn't have tons of torque. Definitely not for screwing in deck screws or anything!
But for doing stuff around the house - you know, general maintenance - it's ideal. Just the right balance of power and finesse.

This is a good toaster! It will toast things for you!
I think it does a nice job at toasting things evenly.
Has different heat settings as well as a cancel and defrost button.
I like the 4 slot design for me and my girlfriend to be able to make breakfast at the same time.
I also like the look of the stainless steel.

hi alexander. these are pretty nice phones that i've been using lately. nothing to write home about, but definitely decent.
the sound quality that skull candy delivers is great, especially when you consider the price. they passively block some outside noise due to their design, and also their design makes them pretty comfortable in my ears.
for around ten dollars i think these are your best bet.

These are great intro level, casual bongos for a budding percussionist or anyone with a passion for music! I'm not going to say they are professional quality, because come on they are 50 bucks, and what professionals are shopping on Amazon for bongos, anyways?
But they are wonderful sounding bongos, and they sound professional enough. I mean they sound like bongos. Fun to play, nice looking. Good stuff! I recommend them!

Think about investing in an air purifier. Our homes are some of the worst places as far as allergens and dust. In fact, I read some study that said the air quality in our own homes is probably the worst air we deal with from day to day!
This will really clean your air and make you feel a lot better!

This is a great all purpose chef knife. I've had it about 2 years. I'm no pro, just a guy who loves to cook, and to me there is absolutely nothing wrong with this knife. It is sharp, comfortable to grip, sturdy, and cuts stuff. Perfect.
I don't really have any expectations in a knife, so this works perfectly for me.

this is the exact set up i use right here and i am just blown away with the results. I just upgraded from my canon powershot and am more than satisfied, in fact i am PUMPED!
now i can get gorgeous, semi-pro shots. i would consider myself an amateur but i know about cameras and i especially know what looks good on film. the clarity and depth of field is spectacular. It shoots really well in low light, high ISO, works well.
i also like how easy it is to dump pics on my computer and share them with the world.
it was called to my attention that it is plastic and that might be a problem with it's durability, but DUDE I am careful with my expensive equipment, and i will never put it in a situation where it can even be harmed, so I am not worried about the durability.
my feedback is that it is just a fine, fine camera.
|
|
|
|
|
If you are okay with buying a used camera (or spending a lot more money) I would highly suggest the canon power shot. I think it is the best all around recreational camera.
In fact recreational isn't really a good word to describe this camera because it gives you professional results.
awesome features like Image Stabilization, color isolation, the ability to take stills from your hd video, and a powerful zoom make this the all around best camera.
check it out yo you will like what you see.

This will mount your Xoom very effectively.... I use it for my Nook but it fits Xoom too. It mounts to your windshield just like a gps would. Holds up to 30 pounds apparently, so it won't have a problem with your tablet whatsoever. Also comes with adhesive if you so wish to adhere it to your dash.
works exactly like they describe it, so if you like the idea, get it! it's perfect.

original and best! i just love my iPad 2 and i think it fits the bill for what you're looking for ..... i know there are tons of other tablets out there, but i like my apple products i guess.
surfing the web is awesomely easy (until i have to type something in... I do have some difficulty typing on the touchscreen keyboard), ebooks are clear as crystal, and it's most certainly easy to learn and easy to use.
it looks cool, although a lot like all the other tablets.... nothing fancy here.
i am very pleased with my ipad and don't see any reason it's not perfect for you!

These work well for me because I like to wear a jacket with a big collar in the wintertime. Most other ear muffs this style tend to be too much bulk to wear with my jacket, so that's what drew me to these. I can wear them with my jacket and neither interferes wit the other! It's a magical coexistence that keeps me warm and toasty all winter!!!!
I should add that they are definitely on the delicate side. Be careful with them.

to be honest i didn't expect much out of this jacket because it's a) cheap and b) i was ordering it online. but i thought i'd take a chance because i needed something like this for a reunion i was going to.
i was pleasantly surprised it was exactly what i hoped it would be! a light, casual 2 button blazer that fits well and looks stylish.
i think it looks like a really nice jacket, and personally wouldn't be able to tell it apart from a more expensive jacket from just looking at it.
it's very light and certainly not super fancy, but it looks dashing for a night on the town!

I like these walkie talkies ok but I don't know where they get that 36 mile range thing from - definitely a huge exaggeration. I would say under NORMAL operating conditions (like outside in the mountains or something) they get about a ONE mile range. Totally false advertising that they can get away with and claim that if you were on a completely unobstructed plane with zero interference you could get 36 miles out of it. However, I was sort of expecting that so I wasn't disappointed.
I do like the security feature of all the channels (50) and it works well for my hunting trips so I am a happy customer.

i'll just tell you my trick: mix together all your ingredients.... include diced tomatos, onion, garlic, salt, jalepenos, cilantro (very important!) and maybe a little lime juice. add other stuff if you want, but this will be a good salsa.
here's my trick, and this may sound weird, but I think it's important to get your hands into it and really make it yours. reach your hands into the salsa and grab handfuls of it and repeatedly squeeze it in your fists. this really activates the flavors and mixes it all together.
also helps to let it sit in the fridge overnight before you eat it, makes all those flavors multiply.

I recently bought this set and it's fantastic although too expensive. It's nice though because it offers you a bunch of different weight settings (about 5 - 50 lbs per weight) so you can slowly build up your max, and it doesn't take up a ton of room in my apartment.
Might want to pick it up at sears though because otherwise you're paying for shipping!

i think this is a very tasty merlot. mt girlfriend thinks it's too 'tart' at the end, and I see what she means by that, but I happen to like the tartness and that's why i recommend it. It has a little bite at very end that lets you know it's now messing around! tasty, strong merlot with some attitude. yum.

great storage option because it hides all of your stuff, but it is sort of cheaply made. you can throw anything in those wicker baskets and slide it in and voila! its out of sight.
the wicker baskets are nice. no complaints there. it's the structure itself that feels cheap and flimsy. it will hold all of your odds 'n ends, or what ever you decide to put in there, and it will look really nice in any room. you just don't get a lot in the way of quality or durability.
It's nice that it adds two levels of hidden shelving and a top level to set things on. any extra surface in a small apartment can be valuable!

this is a great sports drink that is more natural than most. it tastes really good and is full of electrolytes and other natural performance enhancing ingredients. lots of natural juices and what not. that's what I like about it so much... i don't feel like I'm putting tons of artificial ingredients into my body. who wants to drink a bunch of high fructose corn syrup and then go running? not this guy.
this will help with headaches because of the electrolytes.

I think works pretty well for me.
since I started using it I have noticed less hairs in my hand when I wash my hair, and thicker feeling hair in general. maybe fuller is a better word.
i don't think it stimulates new growth as much as makes your current growth stay in scalp! that's okay with me, though. this is more precautionary for me than reactive. I know I am slowly starting to lose my hair, so I want to keep what I have for as long as humanly possible.

This pack is intended for mountain biking, but really it succeeds equally at just about any outdoor activity. I use it mostly for hiking day trips or trail running. The reason it's so awesome is it comes with a built-in hydration system, but because of its long thin design it can still hold a lot of gear, especially for its compact look.
It wraps tightly around your whole torso and feels like it's not even there... almost like it's an extension of your body. That's how snug it fits, but in a good way. Lots of little pockets and compartments for everything you need. Great for one day adventures, whatever your medium may be!

I live in a coooold climate and basically need long underwear to survive. My friends and family know this and supply me all sorts of underlayers as gifts and gag gifts and stuff. It's actually sort of an ongoing joke about me and my long underwear collection.
These are my faves right now. Very soft material, nice fit, nice elasticity on the waist band. I love the cotton and polyester jersey material.
They are very warm indeed but don't make me sweat. They are cotton so they breath a bit and promote ventilation.
I could wear these all day because they are just so darn comfortable.
And of course they're wicked warm, too. The perfect under layer!

i am so happy with these fog lights you have to check them out!!!! they are built like they should be: tough and durable and able to take on the road and the weather. you can tell right away when they finally get to your house (the shipping was pretty slow) and you hold them in your hand that they are high quality and that they are not going to fall apart on you.
the lens is coated in something that helps reduce reflection, so they are ideal for fog or precipitation, and will enhance your vision in nasty weather.
the light they omit is bright and wide...my field of vision is greatly increased.
install wasn't too bad as long as you're familiar with mechanical/electrical. you don't have to be a pro, but definitely a little knowledge is necessary for proper install.
very happy with them. high quality product.

I actually saw my girlfriend's little sister get one of these or something similar in dark purple, (I think it was North Face though) and I was totally jealous! It looked so plush and comfortable!!! So I did a little research and found that this got nothing but great reviews online... I had to buy one! I got this one, this color.
It rocks. I love it.
It is so unbelievably soft and plush I never want to take it off... EVER! I hate to put on layers under it because it's so soft on my skin, but when you layer around it, it gets real warm.
The jacket is very warm in general, perfect for layering or all by itself.
Order one, try it on, and I dare you to send it back! Bet you can't. Too comfortable.

wonderful distressed leather bag!!! i wasn't sure exactly what type of bag you were looking for, but this is a great one and it's under $150.
my girlfriend bought this one for me last fall for my birthday, and I've been using it almost exclusively since then... including through the wintertime. I suggest it to you as a fall bag because it is heavy duty enough to protect your stuff in nasty weather.
it has a thick leather flap that folds over the top and front and securely fastens down with a brass snap, so it does a great job at keeping the elements out.
has ample space for my 15" laptop as well as books, notebooks, and a pen/organizer pocket.
the shoulder strap is adjustable and 1.5" thick, which is nice for added comfort.
but mostly, i like the way it looks! i love the thick heavy duty leather look. great bag all the way around

Everything I need in a garment bag. Holds my suits, it's easy to put the suits in, and they get where I'm going without getting wrinkled.
Hanger sticks out the top so you can unfold the bag and hang it up in the closet.
Durable bag, well made. No problems with tears or bad stitching yet, after two flights.
I am very satisfied with the bag... highly suggested.

best winter shell ever!!!!!! this thing is completely water and weather proof. the gore tex outer shell is like the toughest material ever and is totally waterproof.
throw on a couple of layers underneath and this will keep you warm as hell all winter long.
It is very lightweight and therefor also great for fall and spring.
you buy this jacket and you wont need another one for years... personal guarantee.
also, I am more than happy with the way the jacket looks. just my style, and the performance i need.
did i mention there's two water tight compartments inside? perfect little dry hideaway for your iPod or whatever.
amazing jacket.

AWESOME WINCH. A must have if you enjoy off roading. I can easily pull my jeep out of the mud with this thing, and have on many occasions. The 5.5 horsepower engine is quite substantial and really packs a punch. This thing will work hard for you!
Install was easy, but some mechanical background is required.

awesome tv. i love vizio because i think they're picture quality is better than the competition. this tv is super sleek and thin.
try to get a good hometheater system to hook it up to, because while picture quality is excellent, sound can be hard to hear at low volume levels going through the built in speakers. to do it justice you will need a decent home theater system!

Now this is a backpack for a real man! You'll be able to Indiana Jones through school with this handsome leather bag.
So rugged yet functional with ample storage room (even fits a laptop, despite it's archaic look) and a tight buckle down system.
Great bag. Takes steezyness to the next level.

This is a great multi purpose shoe. Definitely first and foremost, though, it's a hiker. This is a SUPER cool hiking shoe. I love Tevas to begin with, and this is another great product from them. It's rough and tumble like a good hiking boot should be, and has noticeably aggressive treads for scrambling over all sorts of terrain.
They reason I call it a good multi purpose shoe is due to it's pleasing appearance. It looks like an outdoor shoe for sure, but it doesn't necessarily look like just another brown hiking shoe, so it doesn't look like you just stepped off the trail. It's very stylish indeed, and I wear it all around town for casual stuff and also in the winter for traction.
All around a fantastic shoe! Get some and see for yourself.

this is one of the best i've seen as far as trunk organizers go because it expands like a shower rod to custom fit almost any vehicle. it stays in place very well and is especially useful for any shopping trip... grocery or otherwise.
It may not be the most durable organizer of all time, but it does the job and works like it's supposed to. just don't be too rough with it...i could see durability being an issue.
|
|
|
|
|
This is a pretty nice one although it's not the biggest. It is pretty big, though, probably enough for your needs. Has 15cu feet in there.
It's a heavy duty material that is definitely water resistant, and definitely not water proof.... especially in high speeds in the rain you're stuff will get wet.
But if you try to use it in nice weather you will get very nice results.
It's easy to strap into place and easy to pack. If you put it on right and pack it correctly you will get great results out of it!
My favorite part, however, is how easily the thing packs up into a little carry bag and stores easily in my garage.
A great bag for you!

It's the perfect money clip. And that's all there is to it. The 'S' curve design makes it unbelievably functional. Holds money and a couple cards very well. It's made of metal and stainless steel. Won't bend or misshape from over loading. Very small design. No bells and whistles. It's al you need!

This is a great starter CB Radio. It's the minimalist approach for sure, but has everything you need to peruse all 40 stations... that's pretty good. About as good as you'll find.
It doesn't have any fancy features, but who needs fancy features anyway?
Great value for such a hard working little machine.

This will clean the crap off your terminals for sure. I had a bunch on both of mine and this cleaned them right up. I took the whole battery out and cleaned the whole thing, actually.
You have to do a few rounds of spraying and wiping....depending on the amount of corrosion, of course.
But it really does the trick for sure!

i don't mind if it's just in and out. like if i already know what i want and i can just go in and find the right size. what i don't like is 'browsing'. just aimlessly looking around the store for something that might look 'cute'. i just don't have the patience for it!

This is probably your best option as fa as a universal fit car cover goes. It won't fit as well as a custom cover will, so keep that in mind. if you need a really tight fit or have an expensive car you need to protect, get a custom fit. bit this will get the job done, too.
It has an elastic bottom hem (like the bottom sheet on a bed) so it is possible to stretch it out over just about any mid-size car.
It's great for protecting against dirt and leaves and stuff. not so great for heavy weather. it's water repellant but not water resistant, so it will get wet in a big storm. This isn't a problem for me, because water doesn't hurt your vehicle. I just need it to keep debris off.
Make sure to spray off and dry out your cover pretty well if it gets dirty or wet. If you don't take care of it right away, the thing is liable to mold or stain. Proper use and care will yield lots of use out of this thing.

Best work shoe ever!!!! I've been waiting for a shoe like this for a long time....something that doesn't look or feel like a work shoe, but performs like one. I'm just not a fan of those huge boots because a) the style is just not for me, and b) they are far too big and bulky for anything other than work.
This shoe, on the other hand, is somewhat versatile, in that I can wear it to work and be very comfortable and to the store on the way home and not feel like frankenstien, and I even wear them camping and fishing.
Their best feature, however, is certainly their comfort level. Most comfortable work shoe I've ever worn, period. No question.

I have to say these are the ost comfortable sandals I have ever put on my feet. It's that type thing where they get more comfortable the more you wear them (like jeans do) and they end up molding perfectly to your foot and you never want to take them off. Yeah - amazing feeling.
Made of cork and leather - durable and lastable.

This is certainly not my favorite in terms of sound quality, but man are they loud. They're a great starter woofer if you're just going for volume. Very loud and durable if used with a good amp.

I don't have any tuxes - never had the need for one - but I do have two really nice suit/jacket combos. one's tan, one's navy blue. I look awesome in them! I wish there were more occasions for me to wear them because I feel like james bond when I wear them.

Orange coolant is made of Dexcool, a different agent than that used in green coolant. The green stuff was determined to be bad on certain gaskets or something, so some vehicles require 'the orange stuff'.
What you ought to do is either look in your owner's manual or go online and find out what is best for your make and model.
If you have already mixed the, I would suggest flushing your radiator, or the results may be bad.

Yeah JL is real nice, so is Alpine. I like to get all my stereo components from the same company. I don't know if this truly has an effect on performance, but it seems like it would help. Seems like it would all be designed to get optimal performance out of same system equipment.... but I don't know for sure.
what I do know is that alpine is great.

here's a fantastic slipper for you. easily slides on and off. feels very comfortable on the foot.somewhat rugged feel... definitely enough to go out on the deck or get the mail. moderately warm...not overwhelming to where my feet sweat. I love these slippers.
This is my size, too, and they fit perfectly.

I've got one of these on my f150. Love it. Very sturdy, attractive looking box. Installed it by myself in about half an hour, doesn't slide around or anything. Lot's of space for my tools. They offer bigger models, too, if you need the extra space, but I personally don't. I like this low profile version because I can see more of the road. Has a little hydraulic lid lifter, too.
The only thing that bugs me sometimes is that the handles are in the middle. My previous box had them on the side and it just seemed to make more sense and was more accesible. But it's not a deal breaker or anything.... I really like the box!

I would say definitely just hanging them is your best bet. As long as they are hung correctly they should keep a real nice crease.

I know a guy who uses Phone Power and says it's awesome. He says long distance calling is WAY cheaper, and there are no extra taxes or unexpected rate hikes or anything. He pays I think 15 dollars a month and had like a hunded dollar activation fee.
Check it out. He said they were the best as far as he could tell, and seems to like their service. I can also tell you from talking to him that the signal is crystal clear!

I think they have the same engine and tranny? Yeah if I remember right they are very similar.... both can seat eight and have similar safety features. The Pilot, however, has WAY less interior space, I mean virtually no back storage if the third row seat is up. useless if you have kids that are growing....
On the other hand, I think we can all agree that the pilot looks a little cooler. At least i think so.
Basically it comes down to space vs. aesthetics, and unfortunately, functionality always wins!
Go with the Mini van.

don't waste your time with anything besides ray ban! they are awesome. I have this pair, but really anything from ray ban will be super nice.
i would certainly recommend spending the money on a nice pair if you can afford it. they will feel better on your face and you will get a much nicer product. you wan't something nice if it has to sit there on your head all day! make sure it's comfortable!

I think your basic cotton beater is the best bet as far as breathability. Cotton is always the most breathable fabric, regardless of what fancy fabrics they keep coming up with. Plus, a tank is just nice as far as it's minimal coverage goes.

Here ya go - simple, easy, understated board short. Can't go wrong with something like this. Very neutral in color and style. Those shorty shorts are pretty cool, but it's a ballsy move to wear those out on the beach. So for the more conservative minded people out there, this is a good one.

I think if you're going to get an umbrella it has to have a hook at the end. It's a cool fashion statement and useful for pulling embarrassing friends off the stage at karaoke night. Also doubles as a cane for when you're older. Plus, multi colored sections enable you to do the classic 'twirl' to some extent.

A hammer and nail would work. I've done it in the past and used a cordless drill with a small drill bit in there.... worked perfectly, and also bored out all the belt material so it was easy to put the buckle in. I imagine with a hammer and nail it would leave all the leather still in and around the hole and you would have to either clean it out or use some serious force to jam the buckle though the hole.

Yeah I think Melanie's idea of buying some separates is a good one. I recently did that for a job interview. Macy's had a really nice grey blazer for like 120 bucks that actually went very well with a pair of charcoal grey pants I already owned. grey on grey can look nice if you do it right... just make sure you get a nice colored shirt to go with it.
Or if you already have a nice pair of black pants buy a black blazer or maybe a blue one? so many possibilities.

I think you should go for the ultimate in sophistication, class, and comfort: the loafer. You know...with the little tassel hanging down? Yes! These are classy shoes man! And talk about comfort. Wow. I have a nice pair from Dockers actually that I have used exclusively as my black dress shoe for like 4 years. Leather upper, comfortable... gotta love the loafers.

This is a fantastic jack that I use in my home garage all the time. I don't know if you're looking for this type of jack or a more portable one, but these are a great design and always perform well. It has wheels so its portable-ish (though I wouldn't take it around in my car). The nice long handle makes jacking your car no problemo. It laso has this safety valve that prevents it from overloading.
Lifts 2 tons, enough for most cars and smaller vehicles, lift range of 5 - 13 inches. Enough room to get underneath the car.
This is just a nice tool to have around.
|
|
|
|
|
This is a decent scissor jack that basically does what it should and nothing more. But that's to be expected at this ridiculous price. It has a heavy duty steel frame and can effectively lift a car from 4 - 14 inches off the ground. The handle on the other hand, is garbage and obviously way too short. How did they not see this being a problem when you have to shove this under your car to use it????
But it works decently enough and certainly gets the job done. It's what you'd expect for something this inexpensive: cheap and functional.

You have to trust me on this one and just buy one of these and see for your self! For only a dollar, you have nothing to lose! It seems silly to be so excited about such a cheap little piece of equipment, but this thing is AMAZING. Best ice scraper I've ever owned. The brass blade is an amazing de-icer and is suitable for use on your windshield. It tears through ice. No fancy handles or shapes or anything, just a straight up brass blade on a simple as can be handle. You should order like 5 because you're gonna want to give one to all of your friends. Try one and see for yourself! These are awesome!
Make sure you take care of the blade, because as soon as it gets bent you will start scratching your window and it won't be as effective.
But go read other people's reviews if you don't believe me! This thing works!

I love the Bobster! Sounds like the name of an annoying next door neighbor. But thee goggles are pretty great all the way around... I bought mine month and months ago and have nothing but good things to say about them.
I like the way they look, first of all. I think they are very stylish and are just the look I was going for. They are a little bulky... but so is my head so it's a perfect match.
I think you'll find that your lenses wont fog at all - mine don't.
The wrap around look ensures that they stay on your head, and I've never had any issues with them falling off or anything.
The lenses have a really nice glare reduction coating... works very well.
They are very comfortable in general and i don't ever have to adjust them or think about it... I just put them on and ride.
I love them and highly suggest them.

|
This is some serious quality for such a low price. These shatterproof goggles have UV 400 protection and interchangeable lenses.... smokey or clear. They're pretty comfortable and do fog up a little... but not too bad and only on really hot days. The foam padding is comfortable enough. It's not an amazing set of goggles by any means but for this price they certainly deliver.

I like to have these around for emergencies, and I also like to help out AAA whenever I can. They are an awesome company that has taken care of my family and our road trips for decades! This is a very handy little roadside assistance bag, complete with a well rounded Fine Line first aid kit.
If you want a first aid kit for your car, you might as well buy something that also has road specific features, like jumper cables and a hand charged flashlight. Also has an emergency whistle and an emergency care guide to help you through an assortment of situations.
Don't go anywhere without one of these. That's my advice. You never know what's around the next corner!

What attracted me to this at first was that I was going to be able to install it myself and save the 250 dollar installation fee that I know someone would have the nerve to charge me. I have a little bit of electrical knowledge... I've wired speaker systems and house electrical stuff before.... so I felt pretty confident that I would be able to do it all by myself... and I almost made it all the way through! I just had one question that I needed some advice about (involving the theft prevention) so I called the help line and it was HORRIBLE. They put me on hold forever and barely answered my question before hanging up on me. You'd think for a do it yourself type thing they would have a better help line. But they don't.
Okay, all this being said, the final product is AWESOME! And it feels good that I did it myself. The starter has a decent range - I can start it from my home in the morning (about 100 ft away) and from my office in the evening (about 3 or 4 hundred feet away). I always have the perfect temperature car to get into, which is a necessity for my long commute. The DVD instructions pretty much cover everything you need to know about the install process, but the wiring detail is really all in the written guide, so keep that handy because that's the hardest part.
The 5 button remote control is very easy to use and pretty self explanatory, although there are instructions for that, too. If you have the patience to work through the install process and minimal electrical knowledge, you can do this. It a nice money saving alternative for a quality system.

Besides the $200 install this is a pretty nice system. It does remote keyless entry, remote starting and even has an alarm. It does everything you wold expect it to do, and has a pretty decent range. Just like everyone else I bought mine specifically for the winter time. I hate going out to my stupid car in the stupid cold morning and trying to deal with the snow and freezing temperatures, so this is perfect for me! I don't know how long the range is, but my car is always parked a solid 75 ft from my house and it starts very consistently. Also works when I am approaching a parking structure or lot... another great feature.
Unless you're real car savvy, I would recommend getting it installed. Of course it is 200 dollars. My other complaint is that some of the sounds are kind of lame.... the arming sound in particular is embarrassing...almost makes me not want to arm the alarm sometimes! Just don't be as self conscious as me and you'll be alright.

This is a nice remote starter that has a pretty far, reliable range. I say reliable because the last one I had was all over the place....one day I could start my car from my house down the street, the next day I had to walk half way to my car to get it going, so I had to upgrade. This one doesn't have a particularly long range (maybe 250 ft) but it gets the job done for me. I like it for the winter time like many of you, so it was a waste to have to go outside to start my car! pointless.
I love this remote. Really simple, one button. Optionally, you can have it connected so you can unlock your doors with it, too, only after the engine has started. Really nice. I had it all installed for me.... about 200 bucks and a little over an hour. This is totally worth it for me because I HATE the cold.
Also has parking flash to help you find your vehicle in those massive parking lots.

If you are looking at car audio equipment at this price ange, you are probably already familiar with this company and their stellar products. But if you are not familiar, let me just say that they make some of the best car audio in the world, and their subwoofers are world class. Amazingly pure, tight sounds that you've never even heard will come out of this thing and take your listening experience to the next level!
This thing is huge - 13.5" and I love the description they give it: the Ultimate Sounding Bass Machine. That s so perfect because that's exactly what it is! Has a peak power handling of 2000W and an impedance of 1.5 ohms. This one unit has six different patented technologies packed in there. Whoa. I have nothing bad to say about this company except you will probably have to buy one of their amps to run this thing... they get you like that. But, since you need an amp anyway, might as well get a great one from the same company as your sub.
Try this out and I guarantee you will never own a different woofer for the rest of your life. Guaranteed.
|
|
|
|
|
This unit is super easy to put together, install, and have up and running in no time.Sounds awesome, very big, rich sound. It's completely covered in high grade carpeting and looks and feels solid.
The most important feature to me is the 12dB octave low pass crossover... it's adjustable and you get really make it sing! Find the perfect place for you and your music.

These are some awesome subs, but the ad is very misleading!!!!
Okay, first of all, the dual subs sound great. They don't rattle off my rear view, but they deliver some bumpin sound.... but ONLY after I got my own amp. See, they don't tell you that the amp it comes with is only 250 WATTS! GARBAGE! It's pretty much useless.
I still recommend these woofers because I still think it's a pretty good deal, and the amp will at least get you started... although you gotta upgrade to at least 1000w amp ASAP!
Once you do, you'll be blown away by these things. Great sound, big bass, fan cooled, and MTX seems intent on making a great package deal... they just came up short on the amp. I like that the subs are already installed in the box... way less hassel.
|
|
|
|
|
These subs are SLAMMIN! This is a great little dual woofer/amp setup that sounds surprisingly good for the price. I couldn't believe when I had mine installed how much sound they produced! I was not expecting much for the price I payed... you know I'm not into super loud bumping, but I do like a little 'oomph' when I listen to music... it's fun and feels cool in my car.
These are awesome for beginners like me, I would say. They come already mounted in the box, AND with an amp. (a quick warning: in my research, I found some reviews that said the amp might blow if not installed correctly or if over used, so read up this. Make sure you install it or get it installed correctly. also don't try to turn it up too loud, and see if you can get a warranty on the amp)
These are good entry level subs. When I say they sound great, I don't mean they sound like a $1000 system. They sound amazing for the price, and I am very satisfied with them!

These are really nice tie downs that aren't ridiculously long like most other brands. They are only 6 feet long each, but of course can be strapped together to create a longer one if need be. They have an easy, heavy duty ratcheting system and rubber coated s hooks so you won't damage your car's exterior. A lot of other ratcheting tie downs are designed for atv's and stuff, so they tend to be over bearing and way to long. These are perfect for moving.

This is a pretty cool little dog seat. We all know how much our dogs love to look out the window, but those poor little tiny dogs can't do it as easily as out bigger four legged friends. I never thought of this until i owned a teeny dog. This is a pretty nice little seat. It fastens right on to your seatbelt, so you should have no problem installing it regardless of car make. It is cushioned with foam and covered in fleece... pretty darn comfy for your pooch. Pretty ice all the way around, except:
The adjustable legs underneath kind of work but are really cheap and flimsy. Also, the "attachable" food/water bowl is not attachable at all, as far as I can see, so it's completely useless.

This is as big and rugged as they come. If you're thinking about off-roading at all you must have one that you can rely on. They describe it as the "largest and most powerful portable compressor kit" that you can buy.... I guess in its class. This thing is the real deal. It can inflate 37" tires and inflate them fast... way under 10 minutes each. It has a max operating PSI of 150, so you can be sure you'll be able to reinflate just about anything.
I feel like if you're going to buy something like this that is designed pretty much for emergencies, you should buy something that is reliable. That way if there is an emergency, your stuff will work like it should and you'll be in good shape!
|
|
|
|
|
Very well built, rugged, durable, easy to use... this compressor is fantastic. I highly recommend it. With it's max PSI of 150, it can easily inflate up to 33 inch tires, plus tons of other inflatables like bike tires and pool toys. Includes heavy duty battery clamps. The power cord is the one faulty thing about the whole device... just too short. Very short.
Also comes with a carry bag and an anti-vibration tray, which does help, although the thing isn't too loud or vibratious to begin with.
I was very impressed with the over all build and look of this thing. It looks and feels very solid and almost classy. A great piece of machinery!

I'm totally into this type thing.... I love the way this helmet looks and would buy 10 more similar helmet if I could afford it! I was surprised when I got this that it's from Bell. I didn't realize they sold anything with attitude, but apparently they sure do.
Besides looks, this helmet performs just like it should. It's very light and comfortable, although I will say it sits a little higher than I would like it to. This doesn't effect its performance at all, just comfort and aesthetics. It has removable ear pads for warm/cold weather riding, as well as a removable and washable inner lining. Chin strap is a bit thin and uncomfortable.
Great helmet, inside and out. Highly recommended!

I think safety should always be your primary concern wherever you bike. Especially true in high traffic cities like the one I live in. This helmet makes me feel so much more confident riding around cars, especially at those tricky times of day, like early morning commutes or early evening when it is particularly hard to see people. This helmet has full face coverage and an ultra sleek design.
There's no way to not be seen while wearing this thing, so try it out if you are as concerned with safety as I am... you may be pleasantly surprised!

Check out this awesome artwork on here. I couldn't resist buying this thing. And, to my surprise, it's a pretty decent helmet. Not for high speeds or anything crazy, but great for cruisin around town or whatever. Has a nice ventilation system to keep you cool, and of course it's DOT approved. I wouldn't say it's super high quality, but it is made by bell and they know what they're doing.... I would call it mid-high quality, but 5 stars for the artwork!

These white helmets just look so freakin cool! I bought myself one of these finally after contemplating what color I wanted for weeks... and I am definitely happy with my decision. Aesthetically, this helmet is unsurpassed, as far as I'm concerned. I look like a storm trooper on star wars.
It is unfortunately really large and kind of heavy as well, I'm a bigger guy though so I can handle it. It fits comfortably, and the sizing was very accurate. A couple nice features are the air vents that draw air in and over and around your head, then out the back, keeping you constantly refreshed and cool. I also appreciate the molded in breath deflector that takes my breath sort of down and out of the helmet. This is a great buy... just be ready for something big!

This is a pretty heavy duty little device, moreso intended for big tires but works nicely on any tire. I personally like the simplicity of the thing, just put it on there and look at the nice big dial to see your tire pressure. It's cool to have stuff like this in our over saturated digital market. Has no bells and whistles, just shows you your tire pressure.
The reinforced flex hose is a great feature that almost all digital readers will be without... it allows you to easily connect no matter where the cap is on your tire.

This is an awesome interface but you have to understand that it's just an interface! meaning it can play all your dvd's, cd's, iphones and use bluetooth, but you have to have the external equipment necessary, like a dvd player and stuff. This just enables you to play it through your speakers.
This thing comes capable of doing a lot of things. It has an am/fm tuner, can play flash memory songs, and is bluetooth and rear camera capable. It does have a built in auxiliary port for your iPod use, you just need a cable.
I opted only to get the bluetooth going for now... I don't really need sat. radio and don't need it for dvds and I don't even really own any cd's anymore. (although I am thinking about adding a dvd player for my longer trips).
I use it a lot for my itouch, with which it is fully compatible and sounds amazing on my speakers. I also use the bluetooth which is a breeze... people can hear me and I can hear them.
I really like the graphic equalizer. It's a lot of fun to mess around with and customize... I don't know why buy I like doing stuff like that.
The sound output is real nice, with 50w for each of my four speakers, and it even has 3 4v preamp outputs in the back so it is capable of a lot of sound.
It also has a pretty high resolution 7" touchscreen, (1440 X 234 pixel res) that I don't get enough use out of because I don't have a dvd player, yet...
|
|
|
|
|
This thing is overall pretty awesome. Really nice sound, versatile (it will play anything -dvd,cd,mp3,flash drives, you name it), also comes bluetooth ready, and that works well and immediately. You can even hook it up to a rear view camera, although I haven't done so.
I got it installed for about 70 bucks because I'm not particularly mechanically inclined... more like mechanically declined....
Sounds powerful and very present (has 4 X 85w output) and definitely satisfies my aural needs.
Now the failure is in the screen. Sorry Boss, but these graphics are not up to par. The screen just does not look very clear ever... maybe I've just been spoiled with flatscreens and stuff, but whoa. It's a bummer because I bought it to help relieve some boredom on long car trips but it's not great to watch.
Oh well.... over all i am pleased and get pretty good results out of this thing. Remember, it's quite inexpensive, so don't expect too much.

This is an awesome CD receiver that also plays mp3, aac and wma files (so plug in your flash drive or whatever). It also has an aux. input and usb input right there on the front panel for easy access. It has AMAZING sound quality, surprising for the small price tag. The unit has a max power of 4 X 52 watts, with a 6 ch. pre amp built right into it. So it can produce some serious sound. For some reason the mp3's in particular sound exceptionally clear... I don't know if anyone has ever noticed that awful digital sound that some cymbals create when in mp3 form, but this unit reduces it ten fold. I don't know how.
The keys light up blue and look really cool, and the faceplate comes off with ease. I will say my only issue with it is that the menu and faceplate in general are difficult to navigate and not as intuitive as I'd like.... but I figured it out eventually. Good luck with this part.

this kit has everything you could ever possibly need. i got this for my cousin last year when he got his new acura and i knew he would want to keep that thing shiny. it for real has everything.... so much stuff that i'm not even going to start explaining.... check it out for yourself! includes 29 different items (including a wonderful Carnauba wax) to help you clean. also, the bucket that comes with it can be used to store everything when you're not using it. chemical guys has been making great products for years, and i trust everything they make and use it exclusively on my vehicles.

Well, you get what you pay for! This is expensive stuff, but oh man it works like a charm. I highly recommend this, especially if you have a new car or a particularly expensive car. I think this is the best wax around... it's Carnauba Wax, blended from Brazilian and German waxes, and is one of the highest quality available. This kit also includes car shampoo, paint cleanser, a phenomenal wheel cleaner, and windshield wipe.
But the real kicker is that wax! It makes your car look wet, even when it's dries off... like a real deep rich glow.
I love to detail my car, and definitely recommend this product without any hesitation.
oh and it also comes in a convenient little case, you can leave everything there in one place and not have to search around your house for all the different products!

I love this company. They make a product that can actually get my car as clean as want it. Living in the desert, as I do, is EXTREMELY rough on cars. You might as well just sand blast your car... same effect. So i was so happy to finally a product that could not only clean my car, but add a layer of protection, too. Follow the direction and you will have similar results.
The shampoo/conditioner foam up real nice to give you the ultimate cleaning experience. The wash is so satisfying, watch all that dirt and crap fall right off your car (hint - use the microfiber glove that's included!). The wax enriches the red color (or, I'm sure, any color!) to basically its original deep shine, and of course adds a much needed layer of protection against sand and wind. The Scratch X not only covers up scratches, but cleans your paint up as well.
The tire cleaner also works like it's supposed to, and even shines your tires... although you will need some sort of tire brush or a lot of rags.
All in all, just follow the directions and you will be very satisfied.. I promise! This stuff really works, and I challenge you to find a better cleaning system!

This isn't for the whole car, of course.... just the windows. But if you're serious about shining up that ride, you gotta have sparkling windows! I can't imagine a better glass cleaner than this product right here. It's amazing.
It comes with some cloths you can use, but I actually get better results with newspaper, as I think a lot of people do. It is safe on tinted windows, too. It evaporates 100% and, if used correctly, leaves absolutely no streaks. Be sure to buy this stuff along with your car cleaner for the ultimate shine!

This rack is as rugged as you want it to be! An amazing product from Thule, I highly recommend this rooftop carrier for anyone who travels, hikes, camps, fishes, and does anything that requires additional space in your car. It's very long and wide, in fact it has an18 cubic feet capacity.... that's a lot of space. It's also surprisingly easy to secure on your rooftop - works on all after market X-Bars and has quick release technology. I would say it's definitely a two person job putting it up and down. One person could do it, but it would not be a fun process.
I've only used it on one trip so far, but in my experience it seems like it's made of really durable plastic material (coated in a UV protectant to keep that nice black color). It also is completely watertight, at least in the mild rain conditions I experienced.
It's a rear opening carrier, which in my opinion is the only way to go. This puts the hinge in the front for the best possible moisture and air seal.
The only downfall is also it's selling point - it's size. The thing is pretty bulky and awkward to deal with, so make sure you have someone to help you get it on and off!

I do a lot of outdoor activities like kayaking and mountain biking, and I use Thule for just about all of my carrying and strapping needs. This is a great company that makes some super durable stuff.
That being said, this isn't their best product ever! It's really nice in most of it's functions and abilities, but lacking one important thing that I have no idea why they left out! It's not water proof. it is what I would call 'weather resistant' but certainly not water proof. I guess they didn't intent it for this use, because I know thule can make waterproof stuff, they have just (for whatever reason) decided not to.
I suggest it because everything else about it is awesome. It's super easy to install on your roof, tightens up real nice to hold your luggage, holds a good amount of stuff, and is somewhat aerodynamic compared to similar rooftop bags. Also, since it is made by thule, the material and straps are heavy duty and rugged. great if you live in arizona or something, but seriously watch out for the rain!

This looks like an awesome unit.... but it's not the one I'm reviewing! I couldn't post the link to the one I wanted for some reason. This is a review for the Pioneer AVIC-U310BT 4.3-Inch In-Dash Nav unit, which I own.
This nifty little nav unit is also an audio receiver capable of iPod, Sat. radio, and CD playback. It has built in bluetooth for the oh so necessary hands free calling, and has voice recognition abilities, so you can use your voice to make calls and control your iPod. What a great safety feature this is!
The touchscreen LCD screen is super clear and you can look at the maps in 2D or 3D....which is cool and reminds me of playing a video game. All the maps are already loaded to the unit's flash drive, so no map disks are necessary. You can also add a reverse camera if you want to, but you obviously need to supply the camera.
It's really important if you buy this gps that you immediately download the new firmware software. There were apparently a bunch of issues with the older versions, so it is necessary to download this to make sure you don't experience any of those issues!

I would like to say first of all that, honestly, you're not going to get a ton for under 250 in terms of in dash navigation, but you can get something decent that will get the job done.
This is a pretty nice little unit that I jut outfitted my daughter's car with. She wanted a new sound system and I wanted her to have gps as she moved off to college. This has both. Well, it works pretty nicely all the way around, but nothing amazing on any level. You get what you pay for!
As far as features, this thing blew me away.
It has an AM/FM, CD, MP3, WMA, WAV, and AAC receiver and gps all rolled into one. It has 4 X50W outputs with two sets of preamp outputs. It has an aux input and a USB portas well as ipod direct control and optional tuners for SAT/HD radio.
The 4.3" LCD touchscreen is nothing to write home about, but seems to get the job done and has a decent enough 480X272 resolution.
All of this in one unit! Pretty cool, except like I said earlier, nothing performs at an exceptionally high quality or quick speed or anything. Just average all the way around.
Also, you will need an additional harness ($80) and a mounting kit ($15) so don't forget to work this into your budget!

This is a great midrange receiver. I pumps out a lot of sound for your buck. Because of it's very low price, you're not going to get all the features of a more expensive unit, but you get a lot of sound and a lot of machine with this guy: 100W per channel with 5 channels possible. It is capable of dolby digital and DTS decoding so you can clearly get into your favorite movies.
The large display and large buttons make it superbly easy to use, as does the multipurpose curser that can scroll through and set the bass/treble levels, woofer levels, balance, etc. It also has 45 possible preset radio stations....way more than I could ever need!
The only negative I have to say is that there is not input for like a 5.1 channel home theater system... so you're gonna have to put your system together piece by piece.
This is part of the fun though, is finding the right set up!

I just took this pack with me on a hiking trip to northern michigan and it actually surpassed my expectations. It has a huge 90L top and bottom load bag with a sleeping bag bottom mount. It definitely held everything I needed for my two night trip, and was pretty comfortable, although after about 7 miles my shoulders didn't feel very good.
The bag is really big and can hold a lot of weight - which is in some ways a down fall. I feel like it almost wasn't designed to comfortably hold as much weight as can fit in the bag. I would describe it like they used the same strap design they use for light duty packs, but attached a huge compartment so it gets real heavy. You just have to be aware of how much you can carry.
Be advised: this pack was not designed for small framed folks. I am a bigger guy, and this bag tightens on me okay, but my girlfriend has trouble making it tight enough on her little frame.

Sennheiser makes a very high quality, durable mic. These are great for the stage, and are very versatile..... I've used them to run sound for vocals and instrumentalist (like saxophone and even guitar) and get nice results every time. One nice thing about this mic is the on/off switch... very useful, especially for rehearsals! Keep people quiet and out of those monitors!
Vocals also sound very clear... all ranges and timbres. I, personally, think this mic compares to the sm58, but some people will argue that the sound clarity is just not quiet as high. Check it out and see for yourself!

This is a really nice, relatively inexpensive option for noise canceling ability. They are very comfortable, and cover your ears completely, creating a passive noise cancel. They also have active noise canceling with the extra feature of a neodynamic magnet. This magnet creates a string magnetic field around the phones that is supposed to yield better bass response. Supposed is the key word! I actually think the one draw back of these phones is the bass quality! It's not terrible, just sort of muddy.
They also have a 24k gold plated plug which creates a much better connection and communication.
Over all, these are awesome. The noise cancelling works just like it should and the sound quality is pretty darn good. Great for planes and any noisy area!

I love my new Nespresso machine... everything I wanted in a coffe maker. Very cool looking, very easy to use, no mess, and great coffee. It uses those little coffee pods that have become pretty popular, and i did the math and it works out to like 55 cents a cup... a little better than coffee shop prices!
Some people aren't into the coffee pod, and rightfully so. They definitely limit your options as to which types of coffee you can get. They have a decent variety, but you won't be able to use beans from your local coffee house. To me, this is no problem. I dont consider myself a coffee snob or anything, I just like an easy way to make a decent latte in the morning.... and it definitely delivers a full, smooth tasting brew that is perfect every time.
It has a touch button frother, so to make a latte you just put some milk in it, fill a cup with the froth that comes out, then push the button on the espresso machine to get a shot of espresso right into the froth. Wow that was easy!
temperature has been an issue -the only issue- with this machine. Especially when I make lattes, I can't really get it as hot as I'd like and frequently find myself headed to the microwave. I'd say this is a user error, but it's completely automatic, so it can't be my fault! Not that the coffee isn't hot.... it's just not quite as hot as I'd like it.

I AM SO PUMPED ABOUT THIS MACHINE. I am a coffee fanatic. I like great coffee, and I like it every day. Sick of feeling ripped off at coffee houses, I decided to take matters into m own hands and figure out how to make the best cup of coffee. After some online research, I decided on this price range and style.
I like it a lot! It has a double brew spout for multiple shots, a generous 53 ounce water reservoir, and can brew between 1.5 and 12 ounces of espresso or coffee in seconds flat! It's semi - automatic, so when it's 5 in the morning and you don't want to rack your delicate brain with all the steps and processes that go into an espresso, you don't have to! Basically fill it with water and beans, pull the lever and let it do it's magic. More complicated if you want foam and lattes and stuff, but that's a given.
My ONLY complaint is that sometimes the coffee is just not hot enough. In fact I often find myself heating it up in the microwave because I like my coffee HOT. Over all a really nice machine.

You can really piss off your neighboring campers with this lantern! It boasts 300 lumen of lighting power using just 3 'D' batteries. They claim you can get an astonishing 72 hours of light on the high setting and 150 on low (it also has a third, strobe setting, which is pretty pointless on a campsite, but...). That' some serious usage time!
It's great for camping because it's water resistant (just don't drop it in the river) and even comes with a foldable tent hanger.

For the ultimate in desk top space, you should look into a u-shape desk. These are great because they add a whole extra side of desk to your home office, and a place for someone to sit ata another chair and work or talk.
Ample room for multiple screens, books, papers, whatever!
okay now the bad part. Assembly is kind of tricky. I's a couple hours of construction, but it's not impossible or anything, just takes some determination! The finished product not only looks fantastic, it feels good to have accomplished something!
Even if you don't get this particular desk, I would highly suggest a u shape if you need lots of desk space.

These are a slightly different look, but the square toe is totally fashionable right now... I see these everywhere, and I think they look pretty neat. This style shoe elongates your foot a little bit, which tends to look more expensive..... i guess! These have leather uppers and elastic to help keep them tight, since they are slip ons. Slip ons are nice because they usually pretty darn comfortable
Also, my girlfriend used to work at a shoe store, and she always said Steve Madden made really nice shoes!

I like to have some large bandaids on hand because when you need a large bandaid, you really need a bandaid! Because that means you have a big wound.... These have great coverage and are completely waterproof. The fact that they're bigger also gives them more adhesive area, so stickiness is improved.

What a great purchase this was for my dog! I have a pretty big dog, too (a big shepherd mix) and we bought this for him to lounge around in on hot days. It's is an awesome little dog house that is well built and well designed.... and believe it or not this thing seriously assembles in just a few minutes. The best thing i can tell about it is that the door is off center. This provides ample shelter from the elements and a nice little hiding spot for the pooch. The sloped roof allows for runoff, too. It's generally very efficient and well thought out!

This is a great solution to part of your problem. I would still consider some sort of velcro or twisty tie organization system for little wires (like A/V or speaker), but this is awesome for you big power cords. You put your power strip in the box and plug everything into it, running the wires out through the end of the box.
I'm the same way - I hate seeing all those wires. It looks so tacky and distracts from the room and makes it seem messy. This ais a nice solution for your power cords.

This is a nice industrial grade set of shears. They are nickel plated with a mini serrated bottom blade - great for everything. They have 8" blades, and the top one is very easy to sharpen (yes you might have to sharpen it or get it sharpened!) and it comes with a lifetime guarantee. These are perfect to keep around the house for just about any cutting need!

Tell you what man, I've got the same thing going on right now! I'm all good in the hair department right now, but I've got a bad feeling about what the future may have in store for me because of family history!
My girlfriend bought this stuff for me, and I was weary about it at first, but I swear it works! It made my hair look like 10X fuller and over all just better! It's a shampoo, conditioner, and after treatment. super easy to use, just wash you hair like normal and then put a little stuff in afterwards... and it smells really good, too.
It adds keratin and proteins to your hair that can be lacking. My hair looked instantly better. They say it takes 30 days, but i think it only takes one.
Seriously try it out. It's a little pricey, but it's important to keep that hair rockin!

I used to use something like this. It fits nicely on the floor in my closet and is completely out of my way. When it's laundry day, just grab the handles and go! This one even has a little zipper pocket inside. The handles go up nice and high, so even with a huge pile of clothes in there you could still grasp them!
The only problem I had is that these things aren't very big, so you can't fit a ton of clothes in there. This can be a good thing, though - it means you are forced to do laundry more often, and therefor are more organized and sharp looking!

These are amazing for minor burns. Made almost entirely out of water, these guarantee to provide moist comfort without sticking to the wound at all. Very soothing on minor household burns, and nie because you don't have to worry about touching anything to your arm like you would with a gel or something on there.

This os a pretty nice shredder for the price. It can shred paper, CD's DVD's, and credit cards, but from the reviews I've read, I wouldn't recommend it for a high volume of cd's or too heavy a work load. I've had mine about a year and I have't had any problems with it, but I primarily shred paper and that's about it. Seems like the motors might die out on these things if you work it too hard!
It can shred 10 pages at a time and has a big 5.3 gallon basket. Also comes with a three mode safety switch, 'cause those blades can be dangerous!

These are amazing air fresheners! My girlfriend and I recently moved into an apartment that reeeeeeeaked of cigarettes. The people who lived there before us smoked, and the people directly below us smoked, too. Worst smell ever and impossible to get rid of. After days of airing the place out (and after asking the downstairs guy to start smoking outside) the smell still lingered.
My super smart girlfriend decided to buy one of these because she had heard they worked well for neutralizing odors... and WOW they really do!!! For real, this thing didn't just cover up, but eliminated that horrible smoke smell. She got addicted to buying them, and had like four different scents all around the apartment (which works because the smells all compliment each other). The cigarette smell was completely gone and was happily replaced by dragon fruit. Thanks febreeze!

Hey if you're gonna get a water pitcher, you might as well get something that's gonna clean your water, too! I love my brita... it just makes me feel more confident about the water I'm drinking. Like an extra layer of defense from the 'who knows what' that can be in your water! These are very easy to use, just fill up the top compartment with water and it trickles down into the chamber as pure, clean water. Yummy that sounds refreshing.

These are some great 12" woofers from one of the most trusted names in the industry. With a power range of 50 - 200 watts, you're sure to get the bumpin sounds you want, though not over bearing. These also have a polypropylene paper composite cone, adding to its durability factor. Something like this is really all you need for some solid bass sound to really amp up your car ride.

This is actually a really nice rod and reel combo for a really nice price. It 7 feet long and super durable. You could catch a pretty mean mean fish with this pole! It just really performs well and has a nice smooth action.
Don't waste your time with a beginners rod... they usually are just a waste of money. You gotta buy something that's going to work and get you some darn fish, right?! And this isn't even expensive!

Dude you gotta get a cargo net for the back. It will instantly make you more rugged! My brother has a lifted wrangler with a net on the back and it makes it so cool looking! For the ultimate in portability go with one of these. It's better than similarly designed stands because the stand itself (the long part) is medal tubing, as opposed to the flat, cheap, thin piece of medal I usually see on tis style stand. Obviously this is not designed for really heavy books, so think ahead about what you need it for.
My only complaint with this stand is that it is so light that it falls over sometimes, especially when it's loaded up with music and top heavy. It's definitely not designed for outside use, because wind reeks havoc on these guys.

This is guaranteed to provide you with hours of entertainment... and your dog, too. You put a trea of some sort inside the Kong and your dog has to figure out how to get it out! It's so funny watching your dog's brain struggle as it tries to figure out how to get to the delicious treat!

I just brewed my first five gallons last month with this kit and it was a breeze... and I got some awesome beer!!! This is a high quality kit that uses only the best materials and ingredients. Each brew yields about 5 gallons of beer... that's a lot of beer. It's really easy if you just follow the instructions, and you can buy supplemental books to take your brewing to the next, advanced level. This particular kit comes with a glass carboy for a 2nd fermentation, resulting in a cleaner, smoother beer. Also, bottling is a cinch, as the kit comes with pressure activated bottles. Try it out.. it's really fun!

If you don't know who Larry David is, you're missing out! He is the co-creator of Seinfeld and wrote many of the episodes and produced it and stuff. Well this show is about his life post-seinfeld. He plays himself and goes around being obnoxiously hilarious in a way only larry David could do. He seems to find something wrong with everything, and has no problem pointing out to people. His awkwardness is only trumped by his hilariousness.

I use this grinder every day to quench my coffee addiction. I love buying beans rather than grounds, as it yields a fresher tasting brew. This grinder does what it's supposed to do, and does it very well. I have had no problems with it whatsoever, and I like it because it is really simple and easy. Just put in the beans, press to grind, and your done. It has a cushioned base so it's not too loud as it vibrates on your countertop. Also, the grinding cup comes right off the base, so you can pour the grounds directly into the coffee maker, and there is no mess. I highly recommend this grinder.

This is an amazing product that I saw at my aunt's house. They use it all the time, and I got to try one of their diet sodas that they had made.... It was awesome! This thing requires absolutely no electricity, just the Co2 canister that comes with it. It makes carbonated water out of regular tap water in like 30 seconds. The company website offers tons of different flavor syrups to add to the water (including diet) and also reuses the Co2 canisters. You send them your old one and they send you a new one (for a nominal price) so it's a pretty cool little system. Also looks really nice on your countertop with its brushed stainless steel.

I think this is always the standby when it comes to all purpose tools. It has so many features, I don't even know where to start: titanium handle, carry case, needle node and regular pliers, wire cutter, saw, serrated knife, regular knife, scissors, 2 bit drivers, bottle opener, and tons more. the only thing it doesn't have for you camping trip is a tent.

I see that you said you wanted a gas powered scooter, but I would highly recommend an electric, especially for a beginner. They are easier to handle because they go much slower and have less torque. They also are cleaner and easier to fold and store. This is a great beginner scooter, certainly not the fastest or anything. It has a 750 watt motor that is capable of about 15 mph for some one under 240 lbs. It has about an 8 mile range per charge. The seat is removable, which is nice depending on how far you want to go. Also, these are really only designed for flat, paved roads. A gas scooter would be better for hills or any tough terrain. BUT, if you're a beginner, I wouldn't recommend messing around with that sort of terrain anyways!

I just moved into a place that has a small bar area downstairs and I just had to get a full bar entertaining set. I am very happy with this set! It's awesome. First of all, it looks fantastic... I always like stainless steel. Secondly, it is a complete set of everything you need, including a 16oz shaker, strainer, bottle opener, cutting board, ice bucket... plus way more, and it all matches. It just looks so professional. I am no connoisseur, but I do like to look like I know what I'm doing!

Man I am still a huge basketball fan today because I started shooting hoops on one of these when I was young! I will definitely buy one for my son, or daughter. This hoop can raise to 3, 4, 5, or 6 feet tall as your child grows and grows before your eyes! I was the biggest Phoenix Suns fan ever when I was young and had to start playing right away... Sir Charles was very much a role model to me! Maybe not so much any more, though...
All you do is fill the base with water or sand and start playin. Even has a ball returner right under the net so you don't waste practice time chasing down balls!

As far as I'm concerned, a beach cruiser is more about 'Steeze' than functionality. How could you get steezier than this matte black cruiser? This bike is rad. It's you're typical one speed with 26" wheels, front hand breaks and rear coaster breaks. your bike isn't just for transportation... it's a reflection of who you are as a person!

I haaaaate doing dishes! It's that one household chore that I can't get over. It's always gross in my sink and I don't want to get my hands wet and nasty. So for me, this thing is awesome. I live alone and don't have a lot of dishes, so it really suits my needs. I fill it up about once every two-three days. The claim that it uses less water than if you were to wash by hand. Now, I don't know if that's true at all, but it sounds accurate and very convincing to me! The thing has its own water heater that heats water to 158 degrees, guaranteeing a clean plate. I read some bad reviews about the hoses and connectors to your faucet when I was researching online, that they can leak a little. I have had minimal leaking thus far, but I have only had the unit for like 3 months. Hopefully it keeps going strong!

This lock is massive and heavy but worth the trouble and the money because no one will ever touch your bike! Kryptonite is a trusted name in bike locks, but their standard U lock doesn't provide a full lock up system... It really only locks around a very small part of your bike. Bike thieves can definitely break into them, as I've seen happen before (I can tell by the rusty, bikeless U locks attached to random poles around the city). With this 3 foot chain lock you can absolutely be assured that no one will be messin around with your stuff. You actually need a power saw to get through this thing. I highly recommend this, especially if you are like me and take a lot of pride in your bike!

My son has a lot of fun with his ds. You can download a bunch of different games from the internet and keep him entertained for hours You can buy games at stores, too...not just online. Also doubles as a camera (actually has two cameras...one facing towards the user, and one away) that can share photos via wireless internet... A really cool toy that an 8 year old would love.

They said it right: it works like magic! Seriously super easy bottle opener for anyone and everyone (over 21 of course!) who needs to open a bottle of wine. The thing looks like it's from the future, and works by just setting it on the bottle, pulling the lever up, then back down.

I think this is a nice system that makes me feel comfortable about leaving my car in sketchy places. It has great features, like a remote for lock/unlock and arm/disarm, and an alarm that goes off when you are hit or moved at all. Best of all, it has an anti-jacking system that, when enabled, will eventually kill the engine if anyone should actually try to drive off in your vehicle. This is a must have for your new vehicle in the big city.

Wow I was gonna suggest this one, too! Only because I just got one for my birthday and like it thus far... not because it's the best turntable in the world. But it's great for the price. It has two speeds (for 33 1/3 and 45's), and a switchable pre-amp included in the unit. This means you can switch between a stereo phone and line level signal, making it versatile and usable for most stereo systems. It has a built in USB device so you can easily convert all of your records to digital files (and it's PC and Mac compatible). My only concern with it (and it hasn't been an issue yet...) is that there is no counterweight at the end of the stylus, so optimal balance is impossible to achieve. This could potentially be a problem in the future with certain records, but only time will tell. Over all a nice system!

I, too, would think Thule is the way to go. I own this box, and, depending on your needs, it could be the best travel decision you ever made! It is just so aerodynamic... you don't even notice that it's there! Of course it is designed with the skier or snowboarder in mind (which I use it for), but it also works beautifully for travel... we took it on our last road trip and could fit everything from suitcases to tents and toys.

In my outdoor experience, I 've found TEVA to be the best all around, all purpose sandal. They never fall off and are super durable and comfortable. If you go with a Teva, make sure you get a wrap around heel. I've found that Tevas get slippery on the arch area when wet.

It totally depends on who you ask because everyone likes a different program, but I like Pro Tools! You can get some absolutely incredible sounds on here. It's professional grade editing software and it's super easy to share your projects, which is really important these days! Ridiculous features like up to 96 simultaneous audio tracks and 128 instrument tracks. Also, with Pro Tools 9 you don't need a super expensive pro tools pre amp! You can use almost any one! This is a really nice, much needed change.

Check out these slip on Moccasyms! These were my first shoe. They are great for the rock gym and a nice beginner shoe because they are simple and inexpensive. Make sure you order slightly smaller than your foot size, because it will stretch a bit and you don't want your shoe falling off on the wall. Also, you want your climbing shoe pretty snug, anyways, as it will give you far more control of the wall.

I like my tomtom go 740 because I think it has really cool features, like it scopes out traffic conditions for you, is bluetooth capable, and even knows the actual average speeds on certain roads so it can accurately predict the fastest way!

I had a similar situation with my kitchen set up and I am an absolute cooking enthusiast, so it really sucked having no counter space to cut and prepare stuff. This thing is simple and affordable and perfect for an apartment. Also has a granite countertop.

I like the classic wooden desk with hutch look, personally. These are very space efficient and have all the features you need for you home: ample desk space, shelving above, and filing drawers and cabinets below. Plus, with a unit like this one, you can hide all of those unsightly cords.

I know this one seems kind of cheap because it IS cheap, but it works really surprisingly well! I bought mine almost 3 years ago to buzz my head and ended up using it to trim my beard instead of shaving it because I hate shaving!! (who doesn't?) Comes with a bunch of interchangeable heads for different trimming needs.

We are avid campers in my family and my son uses this bag all the time. It's a mummy bag, but it's not really designed for super cold weather.

Bought this one for my son and we had a blast setting it up and running it. Has really cool features like a working headlight, smoke generator, and an air whistle. This is a great starter set.... it has everything you need to start conductin!

Not only is this one of the best designed packs around, it's also probly the coolest looking. Osprey makes a terrific lightweight, multi use pack. Their mesh lined back and shoulder straps help ventilate and keep you cool. It has a pretty basic layout that's been the same for years and years: top loading with a floating lid and sleeping bag on the nottom. Also, the sternum strap is really nice when on long hikes and helps to distribute the weight more evenly. Great pack! Highly recommended!

Loveseats are perfect for apartments! This one is so modern and sleek, and the exposed legs are a really nice touch, particularly on hard wood floors! And this stylish couch is actually comfortable, too!

Man go with one of the most trusted names in sound. I have nothing but good things to say about this unit... and it got great reviews all around (I do my research). It was really easy to install and has an ipod AND a USB connection right in front. Bottom line is it's affordable, easy, and has great sound quality.

Dude go with these fully wireless 'phones by primal. They are comfortable, affordable, and do everything you need. The audio is crystal clear. Also, they can pick up any wireless signal from your tv so you can use them for not just gaming!

When purchasing an elliptical for the first time you should expect to spend about $1000. Less expensive models tend to break down and get loud and wobbly over time. They also won't offer the same features you probably want, such as an adjustable stride length, incline, and programmed workouts. If you are only a moderate exerciser, however, you might be able to get away with a cheaper model. I've owned the Proform 990 CSE Elliptical for a couple years and am more than satisfied. It's gets a lot of use and holds up very well. I would recommend paying more if they offer to instal and assemble it, though... it's very heavy!

I wanted to right a review about this system and my experience with it. All in all, it's pretty sweet. I think it is so cool to have speakers all around you, throwing sound waves at you from every direction. This system is great for that and maks watching movies exponentially more exciting.
It comes with a receiver, and it's always nice to pair your speakers to the receiver brand, for the best sound quality. It also comes with an iPod dock, and a ton of inputs for hooking up all of your devices (the receiver has 6 analogue inputs and 2 analogue outputs, and for digital audio it has 2 optical inputs and 2 coaxial inputs). This thing produces a ton of sound, 1200 total Watts.
My only problem is over all quality of sound. It's almost like they put quantity over quality. Like I said, they sound great for dialogue, car chases and explosives, but they lack the depth and sensitivity of some other systems I've owned, which makes listening to music a good experience instead of a great one.
