50 to 54 inch TV for Sports under $1350?
  LG 50PX950
Ive had panasonic plasma for over a year now and of course at the time I payed more for it than I would have liked but now you can get this incredible Tv or the 55in for such a great price its awesome. Full features like internet capability, wifi ready, 3D ready, has a great 24p cinema feature to make movies smooth and natural looking. As with all plasma TVs you get a much higher refresh rate than led/lcd so all your viewing will be smooth and look simply amazing.

best DSLR camera for sports
Nikon D7000 16.2MP DX-Format CMOS Digital SLR with 3.0-Inch LCD and...
Well I'm not sure how your budget is factoring into it but the D7000 has a few features I think will make you extremely happy to jump at the purchase.
1. Approximately 100% viewfinder frame coverage so what you see is what you get in the photo.
2. 6 FPS frame by frame shooting for up to 100 images would give you an amazing ability to see how plays break down and what really happend but more importantly to pick the perfect shot for the moment.
3. Rugged magnesium alloy body design is great for taking on trip or from field to field getting all the action shots you need up to 150,000 shutter cycles.
So fantastic performance, an incredible amount of manual control if you (and I assume you do) know what you want/need.
And of course you get to choose from Nikons line of great add-on lenses.

best camera for beginners
Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera and DIGIC 4 Imagi...
Absolutely stunning picture quality for such a good price. The T3i really puts as many features of a high priced Dslr into the hands of amateur photogs as it could. It can be tough to really to narrow down which cameras really make the best buys but in this case I think its pretty clear. Not only does the T3 accomodate beginners with the easy to follow instructions on its articulating lcd screen and auto settings for quick solutions to photo settings.
If you really want to learn something about photography settings, how you can affect light intake, what apertures you prefer, shutters speeds for certain pictures etc..then you already have a camera you can customize to your hearts content.

best tablet for Skype
  Samsung Galaxy Tab
I really like this tablet because its Android OS up-gradable to ICS so you have some new features without having to pay anything extra, still under $500 so thats nice. About 10 hours of continual browsing battery life and of course the ability to voice and video chat using Skype or Google Voice and several other chat options. Only downsides depending on what your needs are, no HDMI slot and no extra SD card slot for upgraded storage.

best tablet for college under $200?
  Kindle Fire
Like Howard said there are very few viable options out there at this price range that would be more helpful than just having a cellphone on you but I find the Fires portability and battery life to be great if you need to send emails or do some web browsing before/between/after classes or do some small note taking although the lack of bluetooth limits you to touch typing which can be a pain if you need fast notes. Still, for the price especially I think you get more than you lose.

best tablet for students?
  ASUS SL101-A1-BR
If the Q550 had a keyboard I would probably suggest it over this SL101 but if you are a student I imagine typing to be a large part of your work be it writing papers or keeping notes and with this Slider you get the portability of a tablet without having to carry extra batteries or additional products to remember to bring along. Has mini-HDMI connectivity for viewing from a larger TV or monitor and a minisd slot for additional 32G of storage on top of the 16GBs it comes with. Now it does run on the Android OS where as the Q550 has window 7 which could be a great advantage if you are comfortable with that OS and need additional programs like Office etc..depending on what your needs are in school could go either way.

What is the best 50 to 54 inch TV under $1500?
  Sharp LC52LE835U Quattron
This is such a good price, makes me wish it was Xmas again. Check the vendors for this TV some have it as low as $1399. 52" LED-LCD at 240Hz so you have plenty of high refresh rate for using this as a huge monitor or playing games on it ps3 or xbox 360. Built in Wireless with Netflix, Vudu makes it easy to access HD and 3D content without having to spend more money. The set does not include glasses so you gotta pick them up if you want to watch anything in 3D. Surprisingly light considering its real estate, only 53lbs or 61lbs with the base. Very easy setup, great out of the box 2D-3D TV.

  Panasonic VIERA TC-P54G10
Just a slightly larger version of the GT30 but not 3D so, if thats not your thing you can ditch it for a larger screen at near the same cost. Same addons as well, with panasonics Viera Link to access the apps you would want to add. Here are some cool features.
AR (Anti-Reflective) Filter
Contrast Ratio: 40,000:1 Native; Infinite Black Panel
Game Mode helps ensure fluid and seamless gameplay by minimizing time lag
So everything to make a fantastic set except no 3D.

What is the best 50 to 54 inch TV under $900?
  LG 50PZ550
As you increase your screen size, you will start to notice (or maybe not) flickering of your screen refreshing, at least in my case. But the 600Hz that plasma offers makes it so much nicer and smooth that its hard for lcd/leds to compete. This bundle also has 3D and is of course fully 1080p HD compared to some of the smaller and less costly plasma models that seems to run at 720p. Its also WiFI ready and uses LG Smart TV/NetCast to download the usual apps (netflix, hulu etc..)
Plasma really lets you see the full expanse of colors and deep blacks to immerse yourself in the movie watching experience.

What is the best 50 to 54 inch TV under $650?
  Panasonic VIERA TC-P50X3
So plasma TVs dont get alot of reputation anymore with the flooding of LED/LCD's into the market at really prices, not that its a bad thing in general but it does kind of leave the lower priced plasmas behind. The reason I recommend this over an LCD/LED is the price for the size, and the benefits of plasma if you are willing to take some time to figure it out is the amazing contrast colors and deep blacks making your movies or shows that much more clear, and the 600Hz really makes everything so smooth. You can also set up wireless to it but that requires an external adapter hookup.

What is the best 45 to 49 inch TV under $1200?
  Sony BRAVIA KDL46NX720
Gonna have to agree with Michael here, this is really a great option for when you dont want to spend too much on an entertainment center but want something that will last you. You have 3D so you will be ahead of the curve for the next few years until they invent some new virtual immersion TV. Sony uses the Active 3D glasses and those can be harder on some people so go to a store near you and maybe try on passive/active glasses so you get a feel for the difference in 3D depth, but also it can change from person to person what is a comfortable paralax (the distance "depth" between 3D objects) so some adjusting to find your comfort zone is to be expected out of the box.

What is the best 45 to 49 inch TV under $900?
  Sony BRAVIA KDL46EX640
This is just a little over your price range but I think you would really like the picture quality for this size. Has Sony's Edge LED backlighting which gives pictures a much sharper contrast and is also more energy efficient. The Presence Detector uses motion sensors to tell if people are in the room, if not it turns the picture off and if it continues to not detect any movement it turns itself off to save power, thats a pretty cool feature if you sometimes fall asleep in front of the TV but dont like when it wakes you up at 2am when something loud happens. The integrated WiFi makes it easy to connect and stream HD quality movies from different apps like amazon or Netflix.

I feel like I'm talking up LG a little too much but Im just finding it to be such a overall decent TV build that its hard to switch once I look at similarly priced options from other manufacturers. Plus the reviews on Amazon speak very highly of this brand and model. Great price you want if a stunning picture and a very nice size for entertaining guests. What I would consider a very large, bedroom Tv.

Really stretching the budget here find a serviceable at this size that is good quality but I think I may have found a solid option. It is Fully HD 1080p and 120Hz so you should get a nice clear picture even in fast motion sceens, has a built in digital tuner but no WiFi if thats something you want. Its also pretty heavy so, make sure you have a sturdy stand or a very reliable wall mount.

Great product with all the features this 42" TV brings. Not only does it have a very crisp 1080p full HD screen, but it also comes with Smart TV and the Magic Motion control (pretty much a wii controller but for the tv) so you can access things like netflix, or amazon streaming directly from this TV. 4 HDMI slots makes it easy to set up and peripherals, and you can even hook up USB items like cameras.

Well between this and the Bravia you cant really go wrong, they are basically the same TV unless you have a preference for company quality or design. 1080p full HD viewing with 120Hz refresh rate. And slightly more real estate than the Sony if your into numbers. And this model has 3 HDMI slots so easy to setup any gaming system or plug into a computer to use as a big monitor.

I rarely suggest used products, but in this case I think it is truly worth it if you need to stay under budget, you can get an amazon warehouse deal so it should be under warranty, and you dont lose out of picture quality by settling for 60Hz refresh rate. As someone who likes to have the friends around for Gameday, its pretty much required to have a nice 1080p 120Hz+ TV so you can really get into the action.

A good product for this size at well under $700, also having 120Hz makes view any sports or playing a video game so much clearer as it significantly reduces or even eliminates blurring altogether. As with most out of the box TVs you will probably want to do some color saturation/brightness adjusting to make it look right to you, most people are ok with default settings but the options are their if you need them.

What is the best dslr for travel under $1000?
Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera and DIGIC 4 Imagi...
Its a great travel companion for the price, past this quality you would be looking into the 7D or 60D but the price is right on this camera. Keep in mind though if you have not traveled with an expensive camera before it can be harrowing to constantly make sure its not damaged and is comfortable for you to access. Although this model is relatively slim and light compared to some others in its price range, the quality is just fantastic, 18.0 Megapixel CMOS, ISO 100 – 6400 (expandable to 12800) Full HD (1920 x 1080) video setting and of course optical image stabilizer to make sure every picture is crisp and blur free.

Its a really nice point and shoot for this price range, with a 14x optical zoom you can really get into the action and because of the fast auto-focus and optimized image stabilizer you will still have nice clear pictures. Can also record up to Full HD (1920 x 1080) at 24 fps for up to 14 min and you can record at 240fps if you want to watch some playback in slow motion. Adjustable shutter up to 1/3200 speeds and ISO 100-3200, decent enough for low light settings and not bad for a lower priced P&S.

What is the best laptop for DJing under $2000?
Apple MacBook Pro MD318LL/A (Late 2011)
You know, I've seen this laptop on here a few times but it is not without reason, Apple has some really nice software available for music mixing at surprisingly good prices (compared to apples usual price bumps).
This is a great starter machine that you can upgrade to better fit your needs for instance you can get a 750GB 7200rpm model if you need more space and quicker response time or you can even get a 256GB SSD installed and keep your music library on an external HD. Very good laptop for battery life and portability.
Since you will most likely be moving it around a lot and taking it from place to place you should also get a good case and cover to protect it from minor dings.

What is the best laptop for kids under $3000?
  Panasonic Toughbook CF-53ASGZX1M
This is the roughest toughest laptop I could find because I figure if I gave a child something worth over $2000 I would want to make sure it lasts as long as possible. This particular model is rated for up to 3 foot drops, has an anti-glare display and can even be viewed in sunlight (selectable display mode) Not only that but the keyboard is spill-resistant. The internal specs for that age group should also be plenty adequate for web-browsing, school work, games etc.
i5-2520M 2.50 GHz Dual-core
4 GB memory (upgradeable to 8GB)
320GB Hard Drive
14" Touchscreen display (great for kids) and a touchpad.
Includes HDMI ports for connecting to TV's or external Monitors.
At 10 hours it has one of the best battery lifes of any laptop on the market.

What is the best laptop for audio editing under $3000?
Apple MacBook Pro MD311LL/A (Late 2011)
If audio editing is your primary usage, you would be hard pressed to find something more stable than the Macbook Pro series, although many of the models have similar specs the quad-core in this machine makes multi-tasking that much more manageable. At 17" for the display you wont have to sit close to read smaller print and look at finer details in audio software displays.

Of course you can always find a refurbished model for considerably less and try to save some money for the audio software you might like or customizing your machine with an anti-glare screen (highly recommended for outdoor use or clubs as the screen can be very reflective)

These machines tend to be very reliable from boot-up to shutdown they just don't crash as frequently (although PC laptops are starting to catch up in that area) as most laptop. Also you can take a dip in display size from 17" down to 15" you can save a few hundred dollars.

What is the best laptop for multimedia under $3000?
  Alienware AM18X-8636BK
Just because they are known for gaming does not mean Alienware can't perform well in other arenas. This machine comes with a beautiful 18.4" HD display at 1920x1080 that makes watching videos or doing presentations a pleasure. The nVidia GeForce GTX 460M graphics card functions well with the newest games and video editing software.

Starting out at 8GB ram is enough for any but the most taxing programs running simultaneously and is upgradeable to 32GBs if it becomes an issue.

But most impressively this machine uses a new SSD Hybrid harddrive that performs as close to a pure SSD or a 10000 RPM HD. By storing your most used programs on a internal FlashDrive it literally customizes your laptops operations performance based on how frequently you use any particular program. 1TB of overall storage.

What is the best laptop for audio editing under $2000?
Apple MacBook Pro MD322LL/A (Late 2011)
This or the 500GB counterpart are easily some of the best laptop investments you can make if you plan on really using them to the full potential. The MBP is just a really solid machine especially if you need to work with multiple editing programs running simultaneously, with the new quad-core processor it can handle some really intense programs being thrown at it and if you plan on purchasing some external HD's to keep your music separated from your internal HD you will have a nice chunk of change to spend on maybe upgrading some audio software. I have looked into Macs a lot and a consistent complaint I see (when there are any) are
1. Bottom of laptop gets hotter than most.
2. The screen (without the orderable anti-glare) can be too reflective.
3. Battery drains much fast than 7 hours when doing any graphically required programs or movies/games.
So, some solutions would be to grab a cooling pad, order the laptop with an anti-glare screen and try to keep the laptop plugged in when viewing movies, playing games or running processor intense software.

What is the best laptop for multimedia under $1200?
Apple MacBook Pro MD313LL/A (Late 2011)
You just slip under the Mac Pro limbo price line but I have to agree that for general Media use this is a very complete machine.
You plan on doing some video editing? You can get the top rated Final Cut Pro which some Hollywood movies were exclusively edited in(macs only)
Need to mix some music together for your video? Get GarageBand to start out if you are a beginner or look into something for more experienced users such as WavePad.
Want to try out some new games? You may not be able to play them at Max graphics but they run smoothly with the i7 processor and Intel 3000 graphics behind them.

  ASUS G53SX-DH71
Something of a powerhouse for conventional laptop users this Asus is going to be a great asset to any software developer who likes multitasking their machines and finding ways to best utilize custom or preloaded software.
With 12Gbs of Ram pre-installed on its i7-2630QM processor it will have no problem running multiple applications you may want to have access to at all times as opposed to shutting them down and reopening them. 750Gb hard drive is more than adequate for a laptop in this price range (I've seen less in the $2k+ range) and the 15.6" display looks great with the 2GB Nvidia GTX 560M integrated graphics. That card is among the top 5 best specs on the market for video cards.

What is the best laptop for business under $2000?
  ASUS G74SX-DH71
My decision for aiming for PC over Mac in this instance is based on your needs for working with office equipment as you said lots of projection work and Tv's plus modeling software.

This Asus has some very top of the line specs-
2nd generation Intel Core i7-2670QM processor with Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM
ASUS Power4Gear Hybrid that helps saves battery life
1.5TB 7200RPM hard drive and 12GB of DDR3 system memory

But perhaps most importantly it incorporates universal adapters for easy TV/HDTV/VGA/DMI/HDMI setups which I imagine will make it easier to give your presentations without worrying about making sure you have the right converters.

Please Help..BUYING WIFE LAPTOP TODAY I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THEM
  Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5210
Hi Chris,

Do you and your family generally use Apple (Ipad/Iphone etc..) products or are you more comfortable with Microsoft OS (operating system) computers?
Do you have a screen size in mind? (No smaller than X)
Does anyone use the computer that may require more functionality/processing power or graphics than what your wife needs or are you just looking for a sturdy machine that can access the internet, doesn't slow down opening webpages?

So before I know some of that, heres a good performing laptop with a decent amount of memory, storage space, wireless adapter, webcam and a steady graphics card. Let me know if its not what you are looking for.

What is the best laptop for gaming under $400?
  ASUS A53U-EH22
If you are looking to play current gen games then this is probably the best bang for the buck. You will probably want to upgrade the 4GB ram as soon as possible (Up to 8Gs) and you will be playing any games like SC2 or COD/BF on the lowest graphic settings to have even a decent Fps.

There are not many laptops with gaming power for the current flock of Direct X 11 recommended (or in some cases required) at the $400 range but this will at least get your foot in the door. And if you are used to being on a laptop 15.6" wont feel so bad at all.
Keep in mind a 7 hour battery usually means web-browsing or other less cpu intense activities, expect 4 hours or less of unplugged gaming.

What is the best laptop for multimedia under $400?
  ASUS A53U-EH21
Here are the specs on it.

AMD Dual Core E350 (1.60GHz)
4GB DDR3 1333MHz, 2 SODIMM Sockets, up to 8GB
320GB Hard Drive; SuperMulti Optical Drive;
15.6-Inch HD (1366x768) LED Display; 0.3M Webcam; 3x USB 2.0, AMD HD 6310 Graphics

But what does that mean for you? The processor is fast enough for most video editing or media software. The graphics card should get you along with most current games at low settings. 320GB should be enough to keep videos/music/games or work related documents with room to spare.
15.6" Display for that price is great. DvD player lets you bring movies with you on the go. 3 USB's great for transferring data. It does come with a webcam/microphone but for more professional settings you will probably want to go external. Overall a good pick for multiusage at your price range.

What is the best laptop for college under $1200?
  ASUS N53SV-DH72
This almost seems alittle bit like overkill for a machine if you just need it for school research and papers and I assume web-browsing and social media sites but I really like the style and how compact it is for how high performing it is. With a 2nd generation i7 2.2 ghz processor, 750Gb's 7200 rpm hard drive and Nvidia GeForce GT 540M graphics card you will be way ahead of the curve in computing power compared to apple laptops at the same price.

Alot of this depends on wether you are familiar with PC or Apple interfaces and peripheral accessories. Apple is very set in its ways as it does not use USB 2.0 ports and commonly used adapters so if you need to hook up things outside of that brand you will need a dongle to convert the apple adapter to universal serial bus aka USB or when connecting non-apple products to your laptop such as cameras or TV's. A lot of people tend to skew one way or the other but personally I just want you to get the best use for the money and this machine will give you features you may not need now but may come to require or want in the near future.

What is the best washer and dryer?
LG WM3987HW 27 Front Load Washer/Dryer Combo, 4.2 cu. ft. Ultra Cap...
This is great for a small space having an all in one washer dryer unit takes awhile longer than the traditional washer and dryer setup but its not unbearable if you go to work and come back you have dry clean clothes, same if you do it over night.
You may need to play with the dryer a bit to find the right amount of time needed, they might feel wet at first, but it's mostly just steam just give it a minute to cool off and they will dry.

What is the best fan to cool down my place under $25?
Lasko 3520 20-Inch Cyclone Pivot Fan
Powerful enough to keep my 2-car garage cool in the summer all by itself, great fan but not the quietest, especially on its high setting. Low is a still faster than most fans Ive had and its quite a breeze maker so dont stack any papers in its line of fire.

What is the best walkie talkie to have during a natural disaster under $250?
  Uniden GMR-2838-2CK Waterproof 2-Way Radios
Used when I go out a-hunting. Keep your batteries charged (they use rechargable battery packs) and dont start drunking them into buckets of water because they say waterproof, I havnt had any trouble with them and even got good reception about 2 miles apart from my friend I went hunting with so all in all a solid walkie talkie.

What is the best golf GPS under $300?
Garmin Approach G3 Waterproof Touchscreen Golf GPS
Can't talk this gps up enough, you have to try it for yourself to get a feel for how useful it is on a course. The convenience is unbelievable. I just look down at my wrist, and I have my distance to the front middle and back. The score taking, accuracy, pin location, look, fell, durability, and did I mention the touch screen? The touch screen is perfect. I definitely think that I got my money's worth.
If I had to change any features, it would be the ability to input the clubs that I use for each hit and keep track of my club distances to get an accurate idea of which club I should be using and when to use it.

Ordered a new adjustable tactical stock for an M-4A1 look and added a red-dot laser to one of the 4 sight rails that allow a lot of customization, love it. With the 20oz tank I can get about 800 shots from it with high velocity.

What is the best snow blower under $500?
Snow Joe SJ620 18-Inch 13.5-Amp Electric Snow Thrower
I was hesitant to go electric for something involving water and ice, electrical problems do not sound fun when your already cold and wet. But this throw is amazing. First week I bought it we probably had 20"+ of wet snow to clear and this guy was no slouch it just ate it up and spit it out with ease. Some of the drifts were a little higher than the mower so I had to lift it and set it down on them, wasn't a problem at all cleared right through them.
It says that is has a safe guard that pervents the unit from over heating but I haven't had to sustain that much use yet. I used a 12GA 100' extension cord and this seemed to work fine, just plug it in and get throw some snow, the thrower angle is also really easy to adjust so no problems there.

What is the best leaf blower under $100?
  Toro 51599 Ultra 12 amp Variable-Speed Electric Blower/Vacuum with ...
Super handy to have around for fall, you really can't beat the function of this blower for the price. This newer model has metal blades so it wont get snagged up by twigs or little rocks if your using the suction, and it seems to blow just as fast as any gas powered version I have used. Comes with a mulching bag as well. It is electric so your going to be trailing a cable around the yard but it is worth it to save the hassle of a gas powered blower that would probably cost you twice as much.

What is the best lawn mower under $250?
  Black & Decker LM175 18-Inch 6-1/2 amp Electric Mower
Great little mower, didn't have any trouble through some tough brush areas, totally a trooper of an electric mower. Kind of annoying at times to have to wrangle with the cord but worth it to not have to deal with gas and oil and starting it.

What is the best water heater under $650?
Stiebel Eltron Tempra 12 Plus Electric Tankless Water Heater
This little baby is the latest and greatest in water heating, no more giant tanks sitting ominously in utility closest or garages. Sure the installation might add some extra cost as you should get an electrician out to install it but the overall cost-effectiveness of switching to tankless water heating is going to save you money every water bill. Plus you never have to worry about flooding or tinkering with your shower to get the right temp, you can set it to as high as 149'F not that you need it but its there.

Does require a dedicated line and some 6 gauge wiring once again the electrician will know, or you can read the very clear instruction manual. One of the best features is being able to set the temp to what I like to shower at, 104'f and I never have to mess with the cold water to get it just right. Probably looking at 30+ years of service out of this with no extra maintenance.

Look out stormy weather there's a new Jacket in town. Alright well its not that dangerous but this jacket is great for rainy/windy days. Very good insulation and waterproofing. Played 18 holes with it just the other day during a light rain and didn't get wet. Has zippable pockets for easy cell phone or key storage, looks great in general as well.
