What do you think is the best countertop blender for making smoothies under $50?
  Ninja Master Prep QB900B
Well if your main concern is smoothies I think you should give this thing a shot. It is seriously fantastic for smoothies or anything that requires ice crushing or blending frozen fruit. Sure, it makes sort of small portions, but for one or two people it is ideal. Probably aren'te trying to make massive amounts of smoothie anyways.
The reason I suggest this as compared to a regular sized blender is simple: at this price range you can either get a specialty smoothie maker that makes amazing smoothies, or a so-so $40 blender that is mediocre at everything.

Best diamond-cut paper shredder, to be used at home?
  Shredder Essentials 6-Sheet Diamond-Cut Shredder
From reading reviews and also reading up on the product a little bit I have determined that this is a great diamond cut shredder as long as you only need it for light use. It is inexpensive and can cut up to 6 sheets at once. Also can cut credit cards.
It is designed for light use, and for that it is great.

Looking for a great optical gaming mouse, under $75?
  Logitech G400
Logitech is the way to go if you ask me. Here's a really nice one and at a reasonable price...far below your proposed budget. The G400 is comfortable, precise and reliable. The 3600 dpi optical engine ensures accurate tracking. The 10 million clicks they ensure you will get means durability.
Basically just use it once and you'll see it just feels right at home in your hand.

What is the fastest photo printer for home use under $300?
  Epson Artisan 725
Is it the fastest in the world like they claim it is? Probably not.... but it is hella fast! Claims to do 4" x 6" photos in as fast as 10 seconds. That's pretty darn good.
It prints high quality color photos, scans, copies, and is wireless.
Also, Epson does a good job at providing cheap ink replacements.
Prints around 9.5 ppm (black) and 9 ppm (color).

Looking for a small Tv for the kitchen. Any suggestions?
  Vizio E190VA
I would think this is a good choice for you. It's small, inexpensive, slim, and has some decent built-in speakers so you don't need a sound system. Has mercury-free LED backlighting for a bright image and low environmental impact.
To me it's just the right size and price for a kitchen or bedroom television. Check it out!

What is the best micro four thirds camera on the market?
Olympus PEN E-PL1 12.3MP Live MOS Micro Four Thirds Interchangeable...
This is the one I would recommend. Olympus is on the cutting edge of 4/3 type cameras and this is one of their highest rated models right here.
These are really nice cameras! Especially for the low price.
It's a 12.3-megapixel interchangeable lens digital camera, completely mirrorless. This particular one features a 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 digital zoom lens, and a built-in flash. It has a 2.7-inch HyperCrystal LCD screen, can capture HD video, and gets fantasticly clear images.
These are a great alternative to dslr, as they offer a similar shooting experience at a fraction of the cost and size.

Who can suggest the best TV in the $100-$200 range?
  Vizio E190VA
I think Vizio is the way to go for budget TVs. They sell em cheap but make em good! I actually have a Vizio myself, although not this model, and I am nothing but pleased with it. It just works! This one is a decent size, at 19 inches, and being on the small size the fact that it's 720p won't even mater. LED lit means you will save some $$$ on your energy bill, too.

Best gaming headset under $150?
  Wireless Stereo Headset
I don't know if you would consider this headset from Sony (I guess it's the "official" headset for PS3) but it's the highest rated one I can find, at least based on customer reviews. It does feature 7.1 channels and is about half of your proposed budget. Seems like a really good deal to me. High quality sound, good build quality. Maybe not quite audiophile quality, but will pass the test of a discerning listener.
Also want to say that the Tritton AX 720 looks fantastic as well, and I think you would be very satisfied with those.

What is the best 40 inch (or bigger!) monitor for watching movies?
  Samsung LN40D550
I think at this size it's advisable to start looking into TV monitors instead of computer monitors, otherwise they can start getting very expensive (there is of course a PC input). The only drawback is that up close you might notice a slight degradation in image quality, but it's only noticeable if you're way up close.
If you are watching movies you shouldn't be super close anyways or you'l fry your eyeballs, so that shouldn't be a problem.
The reason this one is great for movies is simple: it has excellent picture quality and surprisingly great sound... and what good is a movie without its soundtrack? This will do you well - definitely look into this Samsung.

I wanna upgrade my monitor for gaming. What's the best 20 to 22 incher under $250?
  Asus VS248H-P
Gaming.... yes you want great picture quality, fast response time, decent contrast ratio.
This monitor will definitely offer all of those features, and at a good price.
You got a 2ms response time for basically zero ghosting.... also has 50,000,000:1 high contrast ratio. You'll be in good gaming hands here :)

Need the best monitor out there for Photoshop under $175.
  Viewsonic VX2453MH-LED
Well, besides suggesting a very expensive IPS display, which really is ideal for color accuracy, I think you would be happy with something like this. It will give you pretty accurate color representation, and really the only thing negative I have to say is that I think you will have to be nearly directly in front of the screen to get the true color accuracy, as it doesn't have the widest of viewing angles.

What is the best display to use for programming?
  LG IPS231P-BN
This would be perfect for you. It pivots, so it can be viewed vertically. This is particularly useful for programming obviously because so much of programming happens vertically as opposed to horizontally.
Besides that, it has excellent resolution (1920x1080). Text will be extremely sharp, and in general it will be an absolute pleasure to work on, and hey it's actually very reasonably priced.

Kodak Easyshare C143 Digital Camera (Green)
Well.....sort of. I mean you can't take the picture and immediately upload it without first connecting it to a computer because it would have to have some sort of internet connection to do that. BUt they do make it super easy with this camera. You can see on the website I linked just how easy it is.... 1) take the picture 2) select (in-camera) where you would like to share it 3) connect to your computer, and VOILA! it is shared. Also uploads it to your computer.

What is better for gaming, plasma or LCD?
If sunlight isn't a factor then go with plasma. Burn isn't really an issue any more, and because of the technology used in plasma screens they have a super high refresh rate (equivalent of 600Hz, which is outstanding). If sunlight is an issue (like your TV is facing a bright window) then you should go with LCD, as the screen will be easier to see in brightly lit rooms. But in general I think you will get better gaming performance from a plasma screen.

But I am a bit biased because I really love playstation games, and it not only comes with Crash Bandicoot and Pinball Heroes, but is the only tablet that offers an assortment of other Playstation games, with a selection that is constantly growing. In addition, you can also of course access all the other droid apps for other games. Also has Android Honeycomb Operating System NVIDIA Tegra2 Processor.

I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. This is the one I have and I freaking love it. It is set up like a beginner's point and shoot and is insanely easy to use, but it has some features and technology that Canon's high high end cameras have, so you can take some incredible pictures.
I like that it's a somewhat full sized camera. It feels good to hang on to and is fun to take pictures with.
It has a bunch of auto modes to make shooting a breeze. Also shoots HD video.

What is the best budget TV set under $200?
  Vizio E190VA
Definitely possible. You won't find something large and high quality, but you can definitely find something small and high quality!
I recommend Vizio for anyone looking for a budget TV. I think they sell a nice TV at a good price. I have had mice for about a year now with no problems at all... very pleased with mine. I like the picture, the look of the set itself, and the sound is pretty good too, although I do recommend going through a home theater system of some sort if you can manage.
This TV is 19 inches diag, has 720p resolution, and built in speakers, and plenty of connectivity options.
GIve this one a shot. I think you will be very pleased!

Advantages for RAID?
In my understanding, RAID is generally not even used at the consumer level, and is designed more for high-end workstation or server level systems.
I guess most consumer users use the RAID 0, because it offers increased performance without the loss of storage space....mostly because redundancy is not an issue for the average user. In fact, most computer systems will only offer either RAID 0 or 1. The cost of RAID 0+1 or RAID 5 (etc.) are just too costly for the average consumer.
With RAID 0, which I assume is what you are talking about, I would say the advantages/disadvantages are as follows:
Advantages:
Increased storage performance
No loss in data capacity

Disadvantages:
No redundancy of data

I don't know a ton about this, but this is merely what I have gathered! Hope this helps a little....

Any suggestions for the best jogging headphones?
  Monster iSport 129525
You should really look into these, they look like a serious active headphone. They are so sweatproof you can apparently wash them in the laundry... actually this is their recommended method for washing them. Crazy.
They feature a little hook thing that sits in your ear to hold them in place, so they are earbuds but stay put better than most earbuds. Apparently they have really good sound, too.
I'm pretty interested in these things now.... they almost look too good to be true, like they're indestructible.
Just so you know, it is also a headset, so you can actually use it with your phone as well, if you want. Has in line controls for that.
These things really have it all, definitely worth a look.

Water cooling worth the cost?
In my very humble opinion, water cooling is only worth the cost if it is absolutely necessary. Air cooling can probably take care of most of your temperature issues. Unless you are planning on overclocking you most likely don't need water cooling.
Another thing to consider is it worth your time to install? And you have to change the water every 5 or 6 months....also faulty hose could ruin your machine. It's one of those things where it's really only worth it if you REALLY need it. At least I think so.

Best cheap laptop/tablet for under $350
  ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1
At this price point I would personally recommend a tablet over a laptop. Reason is, you can get a great tablet for around $350, but you can only get a decent laptop at that price.
If you can extend your budget just a little but you should pick up an Eee Pad Transformer. These are awesome tablets that are competitive with iPads...in fact many people would even say they are better than iPad.
Eee Pad is quite powerful and capable of so much, from internet browsing to word processing to games (and a growing Android app store), and it uses Android 3.2 Honeycomb - an excellent OS.
Also, if you save up a little more cash you can eventually buy the keyboard attachment, essentially making it a laptop. This way you ge the best of both worlds.

What is the best TV for watching hockey under $1000?
  Samsung UN40EH6000
I'm going to suggest this one from Samsung...and not just because it has a hockey scene on the display! Because it has some features that sort of lend themselves to watching sports.
Hockey is especially tough to watch on TV because the action is so small and fast, so you really need a great TV to get the best viewing experience. You need great picture quality and a high refresh rate.
This one has a good refresh rate of 120Hz, and awesome 1080p res.
It has frame-to-frame smooth motion, which uses some calculations to basically eliminate blur, which is the biggest enemy of watching sports on TV.
Should be a great one for you.

Don't know if you need color or not, but if you don't your most affordable option would be a monochrome laser printer such as this. Brother is a reliable brand.
This will print, scan, copy and fax all of your documents, and your $45 high yield will print 2,600 pages before it needs replacing. Waaaay cheaper than running ink.
I'm sure you want to keep costs down in that office, so this is a good option to consider.

What is the best "ultrabook" out right now for under $1000?
  Samsung Series 3 NP350U2B-A01
Not 100% sure this fits into the Ultrabook category... it's definitely a bit thicker than Air, but it's also way more powerful. It is quite small and portable though.... pretty similar.
It's powered by a 2.30 GHz i5 dual-core processor ("Sandy Bridge"), compared to the 1.7GHz dual-core found in Air.
Also has 4 gb of installed DDR3 RAM and a 500 gb SATA hard drive.
I guess MBA does have that flash storage which is quick and great for travel, but you could put a SSD in the Series 3 if you were so inclined.

Is SandyBridge technology as good as it sounds?
Sandy Bridge is an excellent processer. It is one of the fastest, most efficient and best "bang for your buck" processors around. I think that is the main reason it is so popular and amped up, because the price is so good for what you get.
Also, a lot of people like it because it's unlocked, so you can overclock it.

best 35 to 39 inch 3D TV under $700?
  Vizio E3D320VX
I've got 2 options for you... the same TV in 2 different sizes. Unfortunately I couldn't find it in exactly the size you want, but here is a 32 inch for under $600. The next size up (which I would recommend going with) is gonna be 42inches, and is barely over your price point at $740.
I would prefer to watch 3D on the larger screen, but either one will give you a pretty cool 3D experience.
This thing has lots of cool features. It comes with 2 pairs of 3D glasses. It is 3D capable, internet ready, and has 1080p full hd resolution. To watch 3D you will of course need a source that can play 3D (like a 3D Blu Ray) and 3D content, like a movie that is in 3D.
Hop on the train! It's a nice ride!

Have an ACER Netbook that was given to me. It will not work on the battery. Only works on A/C. Does that sound like a battery problem or is it more?
This sort of thing can happen with older machines. Since it was given to you, I am assuming it is rather used. Most people don't really understand how to properly care for their laptops batteries.... you're supposed to charge, drain, charge, drain, etc. Probably it was just charged too much, all the time or something. After enough abuse, batteries simply have nothing left and cannot hold a charge.
So I would guess it's a battery thing. There are other problems it could be, too. Like maybe the power cord is broken so it won't charge the computer but it will give it enough juice to turn it on... I don't know, sounds like a battery issue to me, though.

Is the M14x a good laptop under $1200?
  Toshiba Qosmio X775-Q7380
I guess the answer is yes, that is a pretty good laptop. But I definitely recommend against Alienware, because so much of what you're paying for is that name. I think your money would be better spent elsewhere, like this Toshiba, for example. It has a larger screen, faster processor (up to 3GHz with turboboost), and an awesome graphics card. There are other good computers at this price range, too.
That being said, the M14x is a good gaming computer. I just think you will get better all around use out of the Qosmio, or something similar.

What is overclocking exactly and how do I utilize it?
I would definitely say I know next to nothing about this, but I will try to help you at least a little bit.
To my limited understanding, overclocking is simply pushing your computer to run at higher specifications than factory settings.... like pushing your processor from 2.4 GHz to maybe 2.5, 2.6. You can do this on many computers, but not all. It sort of reminds me of upping the horsepower in your car. You haven't changed the actual engine, but have rearranged things and opened up some pipeways that enable higher performance from what you already have.
So why don't these machines come already overclocked, pushed to their highest settings? I guess it's possible to damage your system, because the components are not really designed to run at these higher operating levels. But if done right it can really work.
If you want to give it a shot, I would recommend talking to someone in person who knows how to do it.
If you want to give it a go yourself, maybe try this website or something similar:
http://www.wikihow.com/Overclock-a-PC
Good luck!

I like the pressure sensitivity, I mean it captures every nuance with your pen. I also like the Expresskeys short cuts and the multi-jog, as it speeds up general use. Excellent for creating digital artwork or editing photos. The big, wide screen is also a pleasure to do work on.
This is the real deal, and it will perform for you. Look into it!

What is a good store I can go to to buy an iPhone 4 case?
Make sure you get a slider case, not a snap case. Snap cases don't provide any protection on the front of the phone, so if you drop it the screen is liable to break. Slider cases curve around and provide some protection for the front of the phone...definitely important.

I need a clip-on wireless saxophone mic... suggestions under $250?
  Samson — AirLine/Series One ROAM1
I think this has been discontinued, but it's seriously a fantastic wireless microphone...I would recommend going through this company if you can. They created the first wireless system that doesn't require a body pack, so you clip it onto your horn and it transmits directly from the clip.
This is the transmitter that a lot of big names use... look into it for sure.

My husband wants a gps unit for Christmas...what's the best one and why?
Garmin nüvi 1450LMT 5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Ma...
Personally, I think this is the best one, but I think if you asked a Tom Tom owner they would probably say theirs is the best!
Why is it the best? I think it has some great features that sort of put it over the edge. Things like screen size come to mind. Five inches is nice and large and that's important, especially if you're navigating by yourself. The screen has an anti glare coating (it works!) and the image is crisp and clear.
It has turn by turn audible directions, which are very handy but also a bit annoying at times.... like I want to say, "Shut up, I get it" but overall it is helpful. Oh and it also has lifetime map and traffic updates that come with it.
I just think it's a really intuitive system that is easy and efficient to use, and I am sure your husband will appreciate it.

What is the best 10.2" netbook case for travel?
Targus CityGear Netbook Case for up to 10.2 Inch Netbooks- Black an...
This bag is PERFECT for you!
I use it for my Asus Transformer. I call it a semi-hard case, in that it holds its shape by itself but pressure on it will cause it to collapse. It provides a decent amount of padding for your computer, but like I say it's not totally rigid so you still have to be careful with it.
It doesn't have tons of extra room, but enough for all the components you will need to use the computer, for example the charger.
I really like that it has a shoulder strap. #1 favorite thing about it. It also has a handle. Very convenient. I've had it only a few months so I can't comment too much on durability. But as of now no real wear.
Over I am very pleased and would recommend it to a friend.

What is a good inflatable mattress that fills quickly and won't pop?
Intex Deluxe Pillow Rest Rising Comfort Twin
Great twin size bed. I like that the inflator is actually attached to the bed. My last inflatable bed did not have this feature and I ended up losing the inflator.... and it couldn't be inflated without it. I guess I lost that round! Had to get rid of it.
With this bed I don't have to worry about it. I use it for travel- which I do a lot, so it's nice to not have to worry about losing it. It also has a quasi built in pillow, but you will need a real pillow.
I don't recommend this bed for sleeping on every night, because I think it would fall apart if you did that. But it's good for occasional use. It stays inflated throughout the night, too, which is awesome!

What is the best digital filing system?
NeatDesk Desktop Scanner and Digital Filing System
This is a decent system from neatdesk. One of the better ones I could find actually, although it does have some flaws.
Basically, I just have a hard time getting the receipts to go into the loader...they always seem to crumple. Also, the software is sort of difficult to use, as there are lots of terms that don't mean anything to me, so it's hard to decipher what some of it means!
All in all though it helps me get some of the clutter out of my life, and for that I am thankful. It goes pretty quickly, too, so don't worry, you won't be spending hours trying to load up the receipts.

  Apple Wireless Keyboard MC184LL/B
I would say go with the old apple wireless keyboard. These are great... and in fact I am typing on one right now!!! And look at how fluid it is and how effortless it is!!!
But seriously, I like this keyboard. Of course it works seamlessly with Apple products. It's very light, and has a very long battery life (a few months usually, depending on use of course) and is small and light. The perfect little accessory for an iPad.
On the flip side, it's a little small - definitely not a full size keyboard. It's not ideal for any serious work like data entry or the like, but for typing emails and stuff it's perfect.

What is the best computer speaker for audiophiles?
Harman Kardon GLA-55 2.0-Powered Loudspeaker System (Clear)
This is one of those products that looks like it is some sort of gimmick because it's so flashy looking, but let me assure you right now that there is no gimmick here! These are VERY high quality speakers. Maybe a bit overpriced, but if you can afford the hefty price tag you will definitely be impressed.
Everything about these things is cool, right down to the model number: GLA-55 (glass.... get it?) The sound they produce is so clear and pure that you won't feel like you need a subwoofer at all (good because they don't come with one). A woofer becomes unnecessary at this point, and actually would probably distract from the already beautiful sounds coming out of these things. The lows come across clear and punchy, not boomy at all.
Clarity clarity clarity! My jazz collection has never sounded better. If you cherish clear, pure audio, these are the speakers for you!

What is the best photo printer for photographers?
  Canon PIXMA MP500
Here's a good option for you for under $100, plus it scans and copies, too. The photo resolution is fantastic. I'm only an amateur photographer, and really only use it occasionally for photo prints, but when I do I am happy with them! With the right photo paper (I use Canon) you prints will look amazing. It's great that it can also do other home office tasks as well.
Big time warning though - - be ready to spend some dough on ink! This thing really eats it up. I think it's reasonable, considering the quality of the photos, but it really does go through a lot. I still recommend because it will make your photos look how you want them to look!

  Fellowes 32057 Powershred P-57Cs Shredder
This is a pretty nice home office shredder that I use. It shreds my paper to confetti and I feel good about the security if offers.
A couple things I should point out that may effect your purchase: it's really not for large quantities of paper, or anything thick and tough. I would say it's a light duty shredder.
I can shred about 1 - 3 pages at a time, beyond that it gets bogged down. Also, extended use will cause it to heat up to an uncomfortable temperature, so keep your shredding to under 10 minutes at a time.

You won't believe this. It's has about 200-300 ft range, depending on the conditions, and whether you are inside or outside. The gun has an LCD screen that lets you know how many shields you have left and also has preprogrammed games.

The whole system is awesome. Easy to use, well built, accurate, and loads of fun.

What is the best BAC tester?
BreathKey Breathalyzer: The Digital Keychain Breath Alcohol Tester ...
Well I think this one would be perfect for you. It a totally accurate and easy to use breathalyzer! And it's on your keychain.
Here's the full scoop:
You gotta wait 20 minutes AFTER your last drink to use it. Otherwise it will pick up on what's left in your mouth. You gotta blow from deep in your lungs, because it's measures the alcohol content in your deep lungs.
So you turn it on, wait a few seconds, it will tell you to blow, it beeps four times as you blow (about four seconds) and then you wait for 30 seconds for your results.
It's amazing - very accurate. The levels are always right where I would imagine them to be, except they take a LOT longer to go down than I thought! Alcohol really stays in your system, even if you don't really feel it.
This is a good tool for anyone that just wants to play it safe and always stay under the legal limit.
Great product, highly recommended.

What is the best telescope under $250?
  Celestron 127EQ PowerSeeker Telescope
This is a PRETTY good telescope. It's the only one I have, so I do cherish it and love it, but it's not perfect. I think for the money it's a good purchase, because the optics are good, and once you find your target it is very clear and in focus. Things like the moon and venus look pretty amazing!
Downsides - focusing is a little tough. Unfortunately there is a little play in the focuser, so things move around a little. I think the base is sturdy enough, though.
Also, I can only really see anything with one lens...the other ones are to hard to focus with. Maybe user error? I don't know.
But I do recommend this for the casual astronomer. It's fun and satisfies my need to stare into the heavens!

What is the best 35K car for two under $35000?
For 35K you can get a lot of car. I'm going to suggest the Ford Fusion Hybrid. It is a fantastic investment that will save you money in the long run. Right now in this crazy world it's important to think about saving gas and going with a hybrid option. It's a great investment.
These are fantastic cars. Ford has changed their focus (no pun intended) and is making high quality, efficient, reliable vehicles. You can custom design your own, which is really fun. Check it:

what is the best rock climbing shoes?
  FiveTen Men's Coyote Lace-Up Climbing Shoe,Red,10 M US
If you are just getting into rock climbing this is an excellent shoe, and was actually my first.
It's designed for all around comfort and usability, so it's a perfect beginner shoe. a lot of climbing shoes you will find are designed for a specific type of climbing and won't be as useful for a beginner. some are designed for climbing cracks, some for overhangs, some for bouldering, etc.
this is going to be a multipurpose shoe that will be comfortable all day and give you some nice grip on the wall. Five Ten is one of the most trusted names in climbing gear, so you are in good hands.
As far as sizing, you need to be careful! You want something pretty tight so you can get a solid grip on the wall, but something that's going to hurt. be careful ordering online because shoe sizing can be difficult.
have fun and be careful on those walls!

What is the best fashion hoodie under $50?
Enjoi Man's Best Trend Zip Hoodie - Charcoal X Med Size
I love this hoodie the little design is so cool.
Th material blend is actually a favorite of mine, 80% cotton and 20% polyester. I like it because it holds up a little better than pure cotton, and I like that because I can't be spending a fortune on new shirts every time my cotton ones wear out.
It feels just as soft as cotton, breathes as well, and lasts longer.

What is the best p/a system under $500?
Yamaha STAGEPAS 300 Portable PA System
I would say it definitely depends on what you are using it for. This is a great PA system that I have and it's great for speaking into or playing recorded music through. Easy to set up and take down, and in that sense it is very portable. It's definitely light and portable.
My only thing is I don't think it's great for singing into, especially with other instruments. It's okay.... don't get me wrong. It creates good sounds and decent volume levels.
The problems are A) it doesn't supply phantom power, so you can't use a condenser, and B) there are only 2 bands on the EQ, high and low. So you can't adjust the mids at all which is very frustrating because I can't get the exact sounds I want out of my voice.
Pretty nice sound output however, and overall I am pleased with it.... just consider what I have told you!

These are awesome they are completely waterproof and wind proof. Definitely need to be worn over another layer because they don't offer much insulation.
They do fit like snow pants though. Kind of baggy and weird. But they do an excellent job at keeping me dry on my hikes so I don't mind the snow pant fit.
Durable and totally snow proof!

The key here is durable materials. They don't fall apart... I mean the actual blade won't fall apart, it's a durable rubber material with some sort .
No noise and no streaking make these a great purchase and me a happy customer.

Damascus D60LT Dyna-Thin Leather Gloves with Thin Outlast Linings, ...
Here is a perfect glove for you. I wore a pair of these all last winter, and now that I have lost them (arrrg) I will be purchasing a new pair for this winter.
They are very attractive leather gloves and surprisingly warm. They won't help you in sub zero temps of course, but I wear them out when it's way below freezing and I am fine.... fingers will get a little nippy but that's to be expected.
Try not to get them wet, that's the only thing. They don't do well with water!

What is the best way to find out if my home is haunted?
First of all.... do YOU think it's haunted? Why? Are you hearing noises or seeing things? I think a good place to start is to do your own snooping and determine whether or not you think it's legitimately haunted.
Do you know anyone who is particularly clairvoyant? Some people are sensitive to sights/sounds that us normal people can't detect.... that 6th sense. It would be worth getting a second opinion from someone you know.

Assembly is relatively painless and only takes a few minutes. Ain't no thang.
Fits nicely in a closet.

What's a good microphone for recording a podcast under $100?
Audio-Technica AT2020 USB Condenser USB Microphone
you should be thinking about a usb mic like this, especially if podcasting is all you plan on doing with it. usb mics are nice because they eliminate the need for a preamp.... another couple hundred bucks.
you plug this straight into your computer and you are ready to go. all you need is a powered usb port... it uses phantom power so it will need to get that power from your computer.
it is a pretty sensitive condenser mic, so you may also want to consider purchasing a pop guard or even making one of your own to help make those hard 'T's and 'S's less noticeable.
you will get a nice rich sound with this mic. condensers are awesome for getting nice full sounds! great mic... this is all you need!

What type of clothes should I rock climb in?
I used to rock climb a lot actually (I wish i still did!) and I would generally try to wear athletic shorts and a tee shirt, or no shirt if outside. You should mostly be concerned with flexibility and range of motion - like yoga. If you're afraid of getting scratched up on the rock you could wear some sort of stretchy pants like yoga pants, but shorts are way easier for moving around into weird positions that might be required for the next move.
Light and stretchy, that's what you should be thinking about.

there is a fine line with running shoes between lightweightedness and durability (because the two certainly don't go together) and this shoe does a wonderful job and bridging the gap.

What is the best car bumper guard?
BumpShox - Front Car Bumper Protection, Ultimate Front Bumper Guard...
I just moved to Chicago and someone recommended me getting one of these guys. Thank god they did! Probly saved me 2 or 3 dings already.
It's like there are no laws against hitting bumpers in this city. I'm pretty sure it's actually legal to bump cars a little bit as you park yours or pull out of your spot. This is crazy to me!!!!!
But it is the way of things. So I adapted to this crazy system and protected my car as best I could!
The Bumpshox is super easy to install - same idea as putting on a license plate. It sticks out far enough to provide a little buffer zone and hopefully deter the other driver from ramming my car too hard.
The only thing I don't like is that it certainly doesn't cover my whole bumper, so all the corners ar still completely exposed! I little scary, but still better than nothing. A little protection is better than nothing!

What is the best non-leather belt for a guy?
  Columbia Men's 38mm Cotton Washed Webbing,Black,42
This is a 100% cotton canvas belt. For some reason the description on Amazon says it's 100% genuine leather, and I just want to clear up right now that it's not leather! This belt is great. Heavy duty, very thick material. Lock it in place wherever you want to. Nice solid industrial buckle. Top notch in terms of durability. One issue I've had with it, however. It is quite wide, and it actually doesn't fit through the belt loops in one pair of my pants! Take this into consideration... maybe go look at your belt loops and decide if they're big enough. All the belt loops on my jeans fit it just about right. Much smaller may be a tight squeeze.....

It fits just like they said it would and the material is soft and warm on my head.

What is the coolest exhaust tip under $100?
Borla 20122 Cat-Back Single Round Angle-Cut Intercooled Exhaust Tip
If you're willing to spend upwards of 100 bucks I would definitely recommend staying away from the 10-40 dollar price range. You will only find cheaply made tips that fall apart, not amazing deals like you may think.
Get something that is a high quality stainless steel like this one. It's very important to invest in high quality materials if you want your tip to last more than one winter!
A lot of the cheapies are basically plastic with a stainless steel coating, which will offer you about ZERO in the durability department.
If you want your tip to look good next year too, without having to buy a new one, invest in something decent like this.
You will be happy you did!

Personally, I'd rather get a tee than a jersey because you can actually wear a tee shirt around... the jersey isn't really usable unless you want to get it autographed and up on your wall, or if you actually plan on ballin in it, neither of which are things I would consider doing.

What is the best multipurpose hiking boot under $100?
Teva Men's Riva Leather Event Hiking Shoe,Bouillon,11 M
This hiking shoe is so relaxed it almost looks like a casual town shoe. It was actually designed with that in mind, ideally to be used for light hiking and walking around town. This made it the perfect shoe for me to bring to Virginia this summer.
I could wear them to the airport and travel in them all day, walk around towns, cities and historic regions, and even do an all day hike on the Appalachian Trail, all with equal results - all day comfort and dependability.
I say dependability because they are made of high quality materials and didn't even start to fall apart after a week and a half of constant use (it was basically the only shoe I wore for the whole trip).
A great looking shoe for almost any occasion (for real). you have to try these out! They are unsurpassed in awesomeness.

The annoying thing is that the little water bottle holder is only on one side so when the water bottle is full it can be kind of annoying... it pulls down slightly on the one side.... guess it gives you a good reason to stay hydrated!

The problem comes with it's functionality though. You have to push a button to see the time..... are you serious diesel???? That is really annoying. Maybe next time you make such a stunning watch you can also make it easier to use.

What is the best hiking boot for hiking in Arizona?
Garmont Men's Eclipse III GTX Hiking Shoe,Dark Forest,11.5 M US
This is a very handsome shoe that is ideal for dealing with summer heat. It is low cut, which immediately is going to keep you cooler than a boot will. It is still verk supportive of my lower ankle, and over all is very secure feeling.
The upper area is made of mesh and leather... the mesh of course helping with the heat.
The treads on the bottom are nicely adept for hiking on rocks and loose stones, as the the desert tends to have a lot of.
These are very comfortable and I'm surprised more people don't wear these because they truly are a beautiful looking shoe.

Can I shower while wearing a water resistant watch?
My girlfriends water resistant watch was ruined from nothing more than everyday perspiration and hand washing. She never showered with it or anything! So of course it was up to me to buy her a new one. Got her something that's waterproof up to 100 meters. That's the protection you need, right there. You could scuba dive with this watch and it would still work.
I think water resistant watches are definitely a gamble in the shower and you might as well take it off.

What is the best men's trail running shoe?
MT10BO New Balance MT10 Men's Minimus Trail Running Shoe, Size: 11....
This is a ridiculously cool trail runner that is almost perfect in its design. I love the way they look and the way they feel on my feet. They have plenty of padding around the foot, but not too much to make it hot. They lace up really nice and tight. The sole has nice treads.... but this brings me to my one problem.
see, I have to run down a road to get to the trails that I like to run on, and without fail every time I'm on that road I get pricked in the foot by a rock. there are lots of cinders on the road and the treads on the bottom of the shoe are wide enough for rocks to get in, and the sole is thin enough up there for it to stab my foot a little bit.
it doesn't happen all the time or anything, but generally once or twice during a run i'll have to stop and pull out some random rock or twig or whatever.
not the end of the world, and worth it for the agility and comfort that comes from running in these!

What is the lightest hiking shoe for men?
Teva Men's Riva Mesh Hiking Shoe,Raven,9.5 M US
I wear these pretty much exclusively. I LOVE THEM.
Everything I want in a hiking shoe. They are really lightweight and ventilated because of the mesh upper. They are also somewhat form fitting and thus very comfortable, right away.
I am surprised at how well they perform, considering their lightweight materials, but the sole is a tough as nails rubber and the upper is as well.
I also like the toe design. I've had problems in the past with other shoes where the toe part peels back and is left to flop around with every step I take. Not these. That toe is not going anywhere!

Best full size portable piano keyboard under $100?
Yamaha YPG-535 88-key Portable Grand Graded-Action USB Keyboard wit...
You're gonna have a tough time finding a decent 88 key piano for under 200 bucks. This is over your price range, but is a pretty nice portable piano. The soft touch keys mimic a real keyboard to some success, although they're obviously not weighted.
It's pretty nice that it comes with a stand, sustain pedal, and has its own speakers.
It's not going to have tons of sounds, but the ones it does have are pretty realistic.
It is nice that it's full size, but honestly unless you're playing bach or something you probly won't notice the lack of the other 12 keys.

What is the best trench coat?
  Double-Breasted Raincoat (BLACK, 40 REGULAR)
I would recommend the classic double breasted coat, just in a non black color. it's a good look for any professional in need of some wind and rain protection.
This one is of excellent quality - i know I own one myself. It is rain resistant, so you can't go swimming in it or anything, but it generally works for my purposes very well... which are going into and out of buildings in inclement weather. Never been rain on so bad that this leaked on me or anything.

What is the best mens skateboarding shoe?
  Emerica Men's Jinx Skate Shoe,Black/White/Gum,6 M US
I like these shoes a lot because they're less bulky than most skate shoes I've owned. I don't skate that much any more but I used to all the time in high school and kind of got comfortable with the skate shoe look and feel. These turned out to be my favs because they're lighter and smaller than others, yet far superior in comfort, to me at least. They were nice on a board because I felt i had more agility and lightfootedness to pull off tricks better.
i think they look really nice, too, and I wear them pretty much all the time. They're my every day shoe. I will admit they may not be the most durable shoe I've ever owned. They are by no means heavy duty. but they get the job done for me.

so it works well, but only for light stuff. it's delicate... you can tell by looking at it.

What is the best brand of oil, 5w-30?
Ideally you should try to buy it straight from your dealer. They will probably have oil that is designed specifically for each of their makes and models... or at least something that will work great for your car.
There is a difference in oils, but if you buy name brand (Quaker State, Valvoline, etc.) you will probably be in good shape. However, if you have a higher end car, you might want to consider spending that extra dough on the dealer oil. Oil does a lot for you car, and it's important to keep it clean and have the right stuff in there!

What type of air filter should I get for my jeep cherokee?
Yeah it's like the easiest thing in the world... like Steve said it's right there in front and really the only thing that looks like it could house an air filter.... has a big air tube coming off the top. The tube is connected to the lid of the box, so don't let that confuse you. When you take off the lid, it will still be attached to the air tube.
As far as filters go, a Fram would work, but you should check out this website and think about getting a washable filter:
http://www.carid.com/2000-jeep-cherokee-air-filter...

if you're gonna be doing it yourself, you might as well get a filter that you can wash off and reuse.... really get your money's worth. they are more expensive, but in time pay for themselves.

So anyway and I used this spray I think it was called break away or spray away or something. Just spray it on your plug and let it sit there for like 20 minutes. It penetrates into the threads and loosens up grime and stuff.... really worked for me.

My husband wants me to get him a radar detector for his upcoming birthday but I'm a little apprehensive because I thought they were illegal. Any words on advice on this?
Radar detectors for private use are not illegal except in Virginia and D.C. (They are illegal for commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds) I think it's more like cops just don't LIKE them in your car. But the real issue as far as legalities go is 'cloaking devices'. See, cops have a device called a Spectre that can read if you are using a radar detector, and these 'cloaking devices' actually jam their signal so they can't tell that you are using it. These devices are illegal in Minnesota, Utah, Nebraska, Utah, California, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois and Washington DC, so watch out! The radar jammers usually give the cop an 'error' code, which is just as obvious to them as picking up your radar detector with the spectre.
So, you need a good cloaking device (if you live in a state where is's illegal!) I suggest Blinder M-20. It jams radar with minimal error codes.
But like I said, they are only illegal in certain states, so if you don't reside in one of these, you should be fine!

What is the best radar detector under $300?
Escort Passport 9500i Radar and Laser Detector
This is a hell of a radar detector that I think blows the socks off the competition (Cobra, to be specific). It just seems to out perform every other radar detector I've seen or owned. I love the range it has, first and foremost. This is the most important function of a radar detector, after all, and for me it is of number one importance. The range on this unit is incredible. Picks up K, Ka and X radar from devices long before I see them and warns me of their presence.
A really great feature is the auto volume adjust. It adjusts the volume of the unit depending on the amount of ambient noise in the vehicle.
You can set it up to block out known false alarms because it also has a gps function.
I will say I still get a decent amount of false alarms, even with this feature.
The only bad thing I have to say about it is the bright display. It is way too bright, even when turned all the way down! They need to adjust this because it's awful.
Everything else - great. You will get your money's worth for sure.

What is the best motorcycle goggles under $100?
Makos by Spits Photochromic Light Adjusting Convert from Sunglasses...
Spitz makes a great all around glass/goggle that is both stylish and heavy duty. This particular pair has photochromic lenses that adjust to light levels, so you can literally wear them at any time, day or night, without switching lenses or anything. awesome product. The lenses are shatterproof and UV400 protectant, as well as coated with some scratch resistant coating.
The are very well made, strong and durable.... they could take a beating.
Also, they easily switch from goggles to glasses. The temples are easily detachable and the adjustable head strap attaches easily.
ALSO, when in 'glasses mode' thee is a rubber ear lock that slides along the leg to the perfect spot on your ear and effectively holds the glasses in place. It works really well and makes the goggle function almost unnecessary.
Make sure they fit you right... I suggested these to my uncle and he bought some, only to find out they don't fit well on his head for some reason.... but I love them and highly recommend them!

Never an issue with them not fitting right or falling out or anything. They are UV400 protectant and have shatterproof lenses. A pretty nice buy although you get what you pay for... cheap materials all the way around are what make these such a low price, but they will perform for you and are all in all pretty nice. Comfortable, too. Very comfortable.

What is the best first aid kit for my car under $25?
AAA 42 Piece Emergency Road Assistance Kit
I ordered myself one of these just to keep around... I think it's a good idea have one at all times in your car. People have them at their homes all the time, but never in their car, where it's probably more important because you're going really fast! But this is a great car safety kit that includes:

An eight gauge heavy duty jumper cable, a flashlight with batteries included (yay), a safety vest, a poncho, a screwdriver, 6 different sized fuses, a reusable ziplock style bag, and a 19 piece first aid kit.

Everything you need for minor emergencies that are bound to happen. Makes me feel better when driving long distances at night or by myself. I'm in my car a lot, so this is a necessity for me. Great kit from AAA, one of the most trusted names in the auto travel industry.

What is the best remote starter system for my car under $100?
Bulldog RS1100 Remote Starter with Keyless Entry
This is a cool approach to remote starter installation. There's actually a DVD install guide for people like me that want to save a couple hundred dollars in install fees. It's still hard and honestly it took me like a whole day to do it... but I am proud to say that I got it up and running by myself and it has worked like a charm ever since. Only complaint is that you only get one remote, and it's made of cheap plastic. If you're gonna make something out of cheap plastic, at least give me a back up!
The DVD really helps you wrap your head around the whole process so you actually understand what you're trying to accomplish. The kit comes with everything you need except the relays. Relays are used to optionally set up remote options for door locks, trunk release, dome light, and parking light. This makes it way more difficult for installation, though.
It also has dedicated engine start/stop buttons (can't be reprogrammed or relayed) with programmable run time of 5,10, and 15 minutes. Pretty cool.
You get some coo features like "pit stop" where you can make short stops without turning off your vehicle... great for cold weather and for gas consumption.
I do ant to warn you that it is pretty hard to install this thing! Not so much the remote part... it's fairly well explained.....but getting to and working with your car wiring is difficult! Good luck.

What is the best subwoofer for my car under $500?
  JL AUDIO 10W7 - Car subwoofer driver - 10.5"
The interesting design on this sub is due to the free air resonance technologies that world renowned JL audio has used to create what is possibly the most advanced and beautiful sounding woofer to date. This is saying something for this company. I don't know if you've ever experienced their woofers before but they are simply amazing. They are unmatched in their clarity and accuracy, and I think the best word to describe them would be 'tight'. The sound they produce is as tight as it gets and you just can't believe how good it sounds.
JL believe's in the motto "sound quality first" and that's why I buy their equipment. I don't want a subwoofer thats so loud I can't even hear the rest of the music! That's not why I spent a fortune getting this thing installed! I want clarity and pure bass tones.
You will feel every single note hit you coming out of this thing.
Make sure you use a good solid box and a high quality sound system, otherwise this would be a waste of money.

What is the best subwoofer for my car under $100?
Kenwood KFC-W3012 12" Performance Series Subwoofer
I really like Kenwood products for their very high sound quality. This is certainly an instance of sound quality over sound quantity with these woofers. These aren't for waking up your neighbors as you pull out of the driveway at 2 in the morning.... these are for nice sounds and warm bass (although they can slam pretty hard if you want them to!).
This is one 12" woofer that is very well built and delivers high performance sound that won't rattle your car to pieces.
The 1200 W capacity is channeled through the rugged polypropylene cone for a centered, not fuzzy, pure bass sound. Like I said, I go for quality. If you are similar, check this woofer out. Easy to install, easy to listen to. One warning, though! keep reading...
I have already owned one of these prior to the one I own now. The foam lining actually ripped because I had it turned up too loud, so I had to send it back. I got another one because, although my first one ripped, I liked the sound so much a couldn't resist. Second one has had no ripping issues at all!

What is the best leather cleaner for my car upholstery under $25?
Lexol 1013 Leather Conditioner 33.8 oz. (1 Liter)
This is sort of an industry standard for the auto industry. It works really well for car upholstery especially, as it was designed specifically with that in mind.... although it can be used for basically any leather product (not suede). It brings out a nice, like new shine to my car seats..... I try to apply it about once a month. It comes in this huge bottle, so you should also get a spray bottle to put the cleaner in so it's a little easier to handle. Don't be afraid of buying this large amount, though! It works fantastically well on leather upholstery, and car seats are big and need attention often, so you're gonna need a lot of cleaner.
This has no chemical solvents, and is also good for use on purses, luggage, furniture and other leather goods. I will say one word of warning, though. My wife tried to use this to clean her leather purse and accidentally used a little too much. The product leaked through the leather and onto the lining of her purse, pretty much ruining the lining. (at least the leather was clean)
Just keep in mind that it is a liquid so it needs to be controlled... don't let it get on things it shouldn't be on!

What is the best motorcycle half helmet under $100?
German Style DOT Flat Black Matte Motorcycle Half Helmet [X-Large]
Check this out for the ultimate in steezyness. This is a throwback to old german motorcycle half helmets that used to only be available as a novelty item. Now they are produced for functionality as well as look. You can't get much cooler than this helmet. I absolutely love mine and the looks/reactions I get from people. There is something about seeing a biker in one of these that is somewhat startling and definitely eye-catching.
Aside from its good looks, this helmet has some other real nice features. The shell is super tough and is available in four or five different sizes. The inside lining is very comfortable, although can get a little warm. Not as warm as a full face, and that's why I prefer these halfies.
The only thing I don't like is the chin strap. It's quite thin and during long rides can get a little uncomfortable and even irritating.

What is the best full face motorcycle helmet under $700?
Nexx XR1R Carbon Black Gray Large Full Face Helmet
Bad Ass. The only two words that can really describe this piece.
This is the helmet Darth Vader would wear if he rode motorcycles. I love it! And as much as I love the look, I also love the design.
It's about as light as it gets... I think 1200 gram. That is ridiculously light for a full face helmet. It was their main concern while in production.... behind safety of course, which has not been compromised for weight. The carbon fiber shell is rated very high for safety, so no worries there my friends.
One concern I initially had was that it was FAR too tight... especially in the ear area.... then I discovered the ear pads are removable! This is awesome, and gave me a little extra space in there. No pinched ears for this guy. However, I will say in general this helmet is pretty tight all the way around. I would suggest maybe ordering a little on the large side.
It also has a removable breath guard for easy cleaning.
It is important to note that it ships with a clear shied, not the cool tinted one shown here. That one is an extra $40. This kind of bummed me out, so I wanted to warn everybody about it. Other than that, awesome helmet.

What is the best motorcycle helmet under $200?
Fuel Black Flag Small Triple Vented Modular Helmet
For the proud American in all of us. What could be better than cruisin cross this great country with one of these bad boys? These graphics are superb and the helmet, though not equally impressive, is also very nice. The only reason I'm not as impressed with the helmet is that it's just not quite as tough as I'd like to see it. Not to say it's flimsy or anything. It can definitely take a beating, but it doesn't feel quite as solid as other helmets I've owned. However, other helmets I've owned never looked quite like this! i love the ventilation system. it totally works wonders in regulating my head temp, and also the one touch 'adjustable diffuser' as they call it works well, drawing even more air in and around your face.

What is the best motorcycle helmet under $50?
Half Helmets - Motorcycle Half Helmet DOT 100 Leather
I just think this is such a classy looking helmet.... almost like an equestrian helmet, but a little more rugged. It is super light and small and stays out of your way so you can focus on what matters - the scenery! Of course it is DOT approved.
Also, mine came in the mail really fast.... thank you!

What is the best stereo receiver for my car under $1000?
  Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT 7-Inch Flagship In-Dash Navigation A/V Receiver...
This is what you need if you value high visual and audio quality. The 7" LCD motorized touchscreen is totally unsurpassed in its overall quality and clarity. It only has 800 X 400 pixel resolution, but it looks awesome on my dash and impresses everyone who gets in it immediately.
The sound quality is fantastic and it kicks out a decent wattage - 50w X4 speakers... sounds nice 'n full. The iPod integration is fast and easy but you do have to purchase a cable... I got the Pioneer one and it set me back a full $45... I think it's only worth about $5. The bluetooth is amazing. It's done by parrot, which means it's basically the best.. very clear on both ends and easy easy easy.
My only beef with this unit is the navigation system. It is definitely not up to par and is quite inaccurate in general. There is a sweet spot for sure right in the middle that makes it difficult to select area around it, and the maps in general aren't as detailed or pretty as they could be.
Good stuff in general, though. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

What is the best radio receiver for my car under $300?
  Pioneer FH-P8000BT Double-Din In-Dash CD/MP3/WMA/AAC Receiver with ...
Whew this is a slick looking machine, huh? I love it mostly for that reason.... makes my dash look so legit! Actually I love it for a lot of reasons, and hate it for one, which I will get to. It's capable of playing just about anything you have - mp3's, cd's, wma and aac files, and has in auxiliary input for you itouch or whatever.
It can support up to three different phones for its bluetooth functions, and can of course transmit via bluetooth any songs on your phone. I have noticed very minimal distortion and very high quality sound in general, and am very pleased with it acoustically.
Well, it looks so nice because there are no radio presets on the front panel so there is more to deal with in the internal menu and it's very confusing and too complicated to do safely while driving,
Other than that menu thing, the machine is awesome and outperforms anything I've had previously.

What is the best receiver for my car under $200?
Pioneer DEH-4200UB CD Receiver with OEL Display and USB iPod Control
This detachable face Pioneer sounds better than anything else I've ever had in my car! I'm serious, I love how it sounds. Very clear high and low registers and a powerful midrange. It has all the inputs you could ever need and iPod direct control. Has front auxiliary and usb inputs, and of course can play your CD's. The max power output in 4 X 50W and it even has 3, 4-volt rca preamp outputs for ya.
Did I mention it looks amazing, too?
The kit comes with a wiring harness, installation hardware and a users manual, so the brave can attempt to wire it themselves. It's actually not too hard at all.
This is what would have made me take off two stars if there were stars involved: it mentions in the description that it is blue tooth ready, but what it means to say is that it's ready for you to go out and buy more of their hardware so that you can use the bluetooth. Uuuughhh so annoying (also not HD radio... need more hardware :(
Nice sound though. great product other than that!

What is the best scratch remover for my car under $25?
  Quixx Paint Scratch Remover
This is a great light scratch remover.... not designed for anything super deep or anything, but will certainly help on those smaller scratches (if you have deep scratches that need to be dealt with, get a paint restoration kit or take it in to a professional!).
It's an all weather, high gloss goo with no solvents.... so it's not really for cleaning or anything, but will bring those small scratches out and shine up your paint.
Like I said, not for deep scratches, but this stuff is amazing and really works on small ones! It kind of evens out the paint in and around the scratch, so although there is still a scratch there, you can't even tell!

What is the best accessory for my new car?
  Duracell DPP-300EP Powerpack 300 with Built-in 300-watt Inverter an...
i think anyone who owns a vehicle owes it to themselves to keep one of these in their trunk. It's an amazing thing to have around in case of emergencies! It's basically like having a massive rechargeable battery in your car - you can jump cars (under 8 cyl.), use it to charge and run your portable electronic devices (cell phones, laptops), it has a flashlight... this one even has an air compressor, although it's really only designed for like bike tires and small air mattresses. It will even charge on your cig. lighter as you drive.
MUST READ: if you do get one of these, make sure you periodically charge it fully, because it will slowly lose it's charge and eventually die completely through a process known as sulfurization unless you keep it charged!

What is the best cleaning kit for my car's exterior under $25?
Turtle Wax T3KT Black Box Car Wax Kit
So this stuff is only designed for black cars, but I had so much success with it I just had to recommend it here. They describe it as a product that will bring a 'wet' shine to your car. This sounded a little gross to me at first and made me a little skeptical, but I tried it anyway because a friend had recommended it to me.... and boy i am glad I gave it a chance! This system really works for black cars, and I'll be using it for a while now.
It's a three part system, including a pre wax cleaner, a black wax, and a black detail spray.
The wax itself is infused with black dye or something, which some people say is a sham that doesn't work, but in my experience it works wonderfully. The pre cleaner removes all surface contaminants and brings a healthy clean shine to my car, and the wax makes those tiny paint chips that are so annoying disappear right in front of your eyes.
This is a great system that does exactly what they say it will!
Watch out though... tends to be a pretty messy process, so find a place where you don't mind getting some wax and stuff on the ground!

What is the best rooftop cargo carrier under $200
Valley 90590 Deluxe Hitch Mount Cargo Basket
Man this is a rugged, easy to install carrier perfect for a whole list of scenarios... for travelling, hunting, camping, biking... everything. I easily mounted it on my jeep cherokee and it made my camping trips like 100X better. I can bring everything could ever need, and feel confident that my gear will be safe. That's what I don't like about the rooftop racks... I don't ever feel like my stuff is safely secured up there, especially at high speeds with all that wind. No wind worries with this guy. When it's on my vehicle, I don't even notice that it's there.
It also has a really cool feature where the extension bar is reversible and angled, so you can turn it around at it will raise the whole thing up a few inches. This awesome for off roading or even just making certain clearances like steep driveways.
It has a sturdy, steel mesh bottom and the whole thing has a weather resistant powder coat finish. I will say that it's not as heavy duty as it looks in the picture... I would say it's more like a medium duty carrier. But thats is all I need out of it.
I would definitely recommend purchasing some serious ratcheting straps to tie down your stuff securely!

What is the best in dash navigation unit under $1500?
  Pioneer AVIC-X910BT 5.8-Inch In-Dash Navigation A/V Receiver with D...
Here is another example of a great pioneer navigation system whose only faults actually lie in the navigation aspect of the machine! It's really awesome almost all the way around. The 5.8" LCD screen is really pretty, at a 800 X 480 res. Not a lot compared to your average flatscreen tv, but it looks great as an in dash unit. It comes equipped with bluetooth technology which is great for me... I can't talk on the phone and drive without hurting someone!!! It has AVIC feeds... one of the best features for me or anyone who enjoys long road trips. See, you can create custom trips on here and add your own points of interest, taking the worry out of resetting your destination all the time.
Another great feature this thing has is that it's very much iPhone compatible, and you can actually search directions on your iPhone via google maps, then transfer this info to your pioneer, and BAM! you've got your directions. Way easier than trying to type on that touchscreen, as far as I'm concerned.
The sound quality is pretty good, but it only uses a 3 band equalizer, so it obviously has its limitations.
It's supposed to have voice control software, to where I can say an address or p.o.i. out loud and it will find it for me, but it tends to have a tough time registering what I'm actually saying.
Also, in terms of navigation, I think it works pretty well. However, one thing I will say is that it doesn't tell you what side of the street your destination is on, which can certainly add some confusion to what is usually already a confusing situation!

What is the best in dash navigation unit under $400?
  JENSEN VM9424 6.2-Inch Double-DIN Multimedia Navigation Receiver
if you are patient enough to actually instal this thing correctly yo willbe very happy with the end result! But installation is tough.... get it done by someone who knows what they're doing (maybe that's you!). As far as over all quality and ease of use, this is a great machine. The thing is made for easy connection with iPhone through a USB port, and sounds pretty nice with my iphone through its 13 watt internal amp. It does all it's A/V input through USB, and has a secure digital card slot as well. It also comes rearview camera capable, although you would have to buy the camera.
The interface is super easy and simple to use. it has 11 million preprogrammed points of interest, so finding the nearest gas station is a breeze, even without a smart phone!
It's also compatible with jensen bluetooth adapters, which are not included.
My only complaint, as is always the case with gps units I've had, is they don't seem to do very well in the city... they tend to get lost very easily. Anyone know why this is, or have any advice as to how to get rid of this problem? Because when I am in the city in when I need it most, and this is when it performs the worst :(

It has a precurved waistbelt with a pivoting suspension system that sits on your hips and swivels with your body for a smooth, balanced experience. It has a reservoir sleeve and a drink tube. It has crossover compression straps to strap that puppy on, and water resistant zippers and a whole mile long list of other features, including tons of pockets.
It's really comfortable and easily adjustable and overall the best backpack ever!

What is the best electric piano under $400?
Yamaha YPG-235 76-key Portable Grand Graded-Action USB Keyboard
I have this piano in my little 'studio' I have set up in my music room (when I say I have it, I mean I stole it from my girlfriend cuz she never ever uses it...) and, though it's obviously no titan of piano engineering, it works pretty well for my purposes. I use it mostly as a midi controller to input notes onto garage band, and for that it is perfect. It easily connects to my computer via USB and gets the job done.
It has lots of different voices and decent built in speakers. It is only 76 keys and is made of cheapy cheap plastic, but it just sits there so there's no real danger of damaging it.
I would say it's a good beginner or dorm room keyboard, but no more than that!

What is the best at home speaker system under $200?
Yamaha NS-SP1800BL 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker Package
I have these set up in my loft style apartment, a pretty recent purchase actually, and thus far am very much satisfied. In general they sound great, music more so than movies. I say this because the lower frequency dialogue, like when a man is talking in a serious, quiet scene, it becomes very muddy and at worst inaudible. I'm sure there is some sort of setting or equalizing I could do to fix this problem, but I haven't figured it out yet.
Music on the other hand, sounds awesome. The 8" subwoofer really delivers some nice tones and satellites are nice, too.
Sometimes I wish I could get more sound out of it, but you get what you pay for!
In case you're interested in stats, the satellites center speaker each have a 2.5" woofer and 1/2" tweeter in there, and the woofer uses 100w. They also have employed a new technology they call Advanced Yamaha Active Servo. Basically it is designed to lower impedance levels by communicating between the speakers and amplifier.
I would suggest this to the budget conscious movie lover.

What is the best hair straightener under $50?
Herstyler Classic Forever Ceramic Flat Iron
I want to put in my two cents worth... i bought this for my girlfriend because i knew she needed another one but I didn't want to spend a fortune. She loves it! She has only moderately thick hair, so nothing super tough to deal with, but it certainly gets the jobs done in a timely manner...which is good for me! It has ceramic plates and heats up to operating temp in I would say under 30 seconds.
It has adjustable temperature settings, is super lightweight, and even came in a little carry bag. I think it's great for her hair, but judging by the size and feel of it, I would guess it's not designed for seriously coarse or curly hair.

What is the best small flash memory camcorder under $500?
Panasonic HDC-SD9 AVCHD 3CCD Flash Memory High Definition Camcorder...
This is a super easy to use flash memory camcorder that you should check out! I am very happy with mine thus far. It basically has all the functions you would expect at this price range, like 10X optical zoom, optical image stabilization, 1920 X 1080 hi def video, and the really handy face detect technology that somehow can find pretty much every human face in the picture and instantly deal with things like washed out skin and focus problems
It's compatible with all SD and SDHC memory cards.
Yeah so it's got all those features like all the other ones, but the thing I think makes it special is the zoom mic. It somehow really does zoom in with the lens to increase your audio clarity as you get closer. I love this for filming my band and friends bands playing live... it's a great feature!

  Nady USB-1CMS Condenser Microphone, Cardioid
This is a very easy and affordable way to record directly onto your computer, whether it be garage band or protools. It's nice because no external devies are needed... no converters or anything. It even has its own pre amp. Also has a gold studded diaphragm, which is supposed to help with versatility of volume and timbres.
The only drawback with this mic is that it doesn't have an XLR output, so it's really only useful for computer work and usb inputs, not live performance.

What is the best way to bike around New York City?
  Dahon Speed D7 Folding bikes
The Dahon is about as close as you can get to a real bike with the advantages of a fold up. This is a very solid bicycle that you can actually basically ride as hard as a full size bike. Obviously it feels different and there are some disadvantages, but I'll get to that later.
It has seven gears, adjustable height handle bars and seat, rear carry rack, nice brakes, and folds up rather easily to an astonishing 24". This is a great space saver in my little apartment. The frame is comparable to a full size bike in its durability, but also in its weight. I like it though, because I like to ride hard and don't want to have to worry about my bike not being able to keep up with me!
The disadvantages are that it's wheels are quite small, resulting in a rather bumpy ride, and, even though it is small and portable, it is still a fully functional bike, so it's pretty heavy.
Way better than getting your bike stolen all the time, though, and better than a lot of mass transit options! I recommend getting one for any city dweller.

What is the best air compressed nail gun under $500?
  Porter-Cable FR350A Round Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer
I just bought this for my home projects. I don't use a hammer anymore...ever! It's perfect for home use, with it's compact, somewhat lightweight design. Can shoot framing nails from 2" - 3.5" with a driving action of 70 - 120 psi...enough to get you through just about any natural or manufactured wood.
the only complaint I have is that of the nail loading variety. See, the nails have to be loaded at the very bottom of the gun, and the nail magazine is completely closed (you can see in the picture), so it can get jammed occasionally when the nail housing tries to discharge. Not a regular problem, but happens occasionally.

What is the best shower head for making a rain storm in my shower?
Grohe 28 373 000 Rainshower Shower Head, StarLight Chrome
I am so pleased with this shower head. I bought it to replace my old crap one, and I, too, wanted to make it rain. It does a great job and is a very high quality build. The thing is 8 inches wide and boasts 120 nozzles (you can't tell in the pic, but they're really small in the holes you can see here).
My only negative thing to say about it is that it doesn't come with a an arm or flange, so you have to buy these things separately from the manufacturer. This is ridiculous to me, because what good tis the head without the arm, but whatever. It will get pretty pricey, so if you're on a tight budget you might want to shop around...

What is the best air freshener?
Lysol Neutra Air Freshmatic Automatic Spray Kit, Fresh Scent
I like these automatic spray fresheners. No hassle, you don't ever have to think about it, just set it there and let it do it's thing. This isn't a plug in, so you aren't confined to finding an outlet. Set it anywhere or mount it on the wall, choose a setting (it can spray every 9, 18, or 36 minutes, and also has a manual spray button) and breath in that fresh air!
These are awesome and really do eliminate odor, but I have two suggestions. First of all, don't set it anywhere near your toothbrush! Mine was a little too close I guess and one time I went to use my toothbrush and it tasted strongly of chemicals... disgusting. Had to buy a new brush. Also, when the thing sprays it can be a little startling, so don't but it in your bedroom or anything where you're trying to get silence. Great product, though!

Obviously this is slightly different than your average elliptical machine, but I thought I would suggest it because it's a nice alternative and is very similar and quite inexpensive. This is technically called a glider, and it's more of an all body work out. It doesn't have any resistance levels, which is my only qualm. You have to work out pretty hard to really feel it... but you definitely feel it after a while... it really burns.
Like I said there's no pre programmed routines or resistance levels, so it's basically you vs. yourself. It tracks your speed, distance, time, etc. You might have to buy a dvd to go along with it to motivate you!
All in all it's pretty nice for the money, but it's not going to push you super hard.

What is the best food processor under $150?
Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic 7-Cup Food Processor
It may not be the fanciest looking thing around, but I think its classic design is what makes this food processor so charming and desirable. In addition to chopping, dicing, shredding and pulsing, this processor also can knead dough for you! The extra wide food tube is easy to make anything fit into, and it even comes with a custom spatula and cookbook.
My only qualm is that the capacity is quite low... only 7 cups. This is pretty small amongst processors, but oh well. you can't win 'em all!

You gotta have a jack if you're gonna be rompin' and you gotta strap that thing in tight or it's gonna bounce around like crazy! If you don't already have one, you should pick up a jack mount. It's functional and looks good.
I think the whole point of accessorizing a jeep is to make it look as rugged as possible and this is definitely a nice touch!

What is the best portable music stand under $50?
  Manhasset Voyager Music Stand
Manhasset is like the standard for music stands. You see them in every practice room in the country! This is a portable-ish version of the practice room stand. It has nice little fold up legs, but the stand part that the music sits on is medal and pretty heavy. They put folding legs on the old design, and called it portable! And it is pretty portable, like it fits just fine in my car and is easy enough to take around to gigs with me. But it's not super light or small... mostly heavy and durable.

What is the best travel carrier for a dog of 20 lbs?
The sherpa Ultimate pet dog cat carrier Bag Large Black 19" Long x ...
This is a nice carrier for dogs up to 22 lbs. I like this style as opposed to a hard kennel type because it seems much more comfortable and humane for my four legged friend. It has mesh walls that keep it open and breezy. You can also roll up the sides so no one can see in and your pet can't see out. The shoulder strap is key with this bag. It provides a very easy way to carry your pet around like a duffle bag. Make sure you measure your dog's body length before ordering, though. He could weigh 20 lbs. but still be too long for this bag!

What is the funniest tv show series I can get into?
Flight of the Conchords: The Complete First Season
If you are looking for something completely different and a little quirky, check out Flight of the Conchords. This comedy duo from New Zealand has a very unique style of comedy that is somewhat dry but also outrageous. They're just delightful, as the play two members of a two person band trying to make it in New york with their crappy songs and horrible agent, Murray, who might be the funniest character in the show.

What is the best kayaking life vest ?
Stohlquist Getaway Personal Floatation Device, Mango, Large/X-Large
These are awesome kayaking specific vests. It is kind of pricey but totally worth it, because you need to have quality gear when you're 'yakin. Has an easy to use front zipper, and large pockets with drainage. Also utilizes a cross chest cinch, so that it doesn't ride up as you paddle. This is also better for flotation. I love mine and use it whenever I boat!

What is the best toilet bowl cleaning device?
Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Gel Fresh Clean (1 Dispenser & 2 Refill)
Never thought I'd be passionate about a toilet bowl cleaner, but this stuff is really radical! I guess I just like it because I don't have to really do any scrubbing or anything. I mean once in a long while there's a little build up that I have to deal with, but for the most part it's just always clean. They give you a little wand to apply the gel disc to the inside of your toilet bowl in a discreet location, and that's it! You're done!

What is the best coffee grinder under $100?
Bodum Bistro Electric Burr Coffee Grinder, Black
If you are serious about your coffee (or use French press) you gotta get a burr grinder! This type of grinder is generally considered to be the best way to grind coffee (not this model necessarily, just the burr style). This one in particular has 14 grind settings, ranging from super fine to super coarse. This is very important if you plan on using a French press, as the coarseness is paramount to a successful brew. Too fine a grind will make you end up with a bunch of nasty coffee sediment at the bottom....gross. Too coarse and you don't get the flavor. This unit also has timed grinding so you can get the proper grind and proper amount of bean. Bodum makes some nice stuff at an affordable price...check this thing out!

What is the best universal remote?
Universal Remote Control URC-WR7 7 Device Remote Control with 4 My ...
What a great product fot a great price! You can combine all those annoying remotes into one... this one. It's really easy to do, too. You don't have to find or input any codes, which is by far my favorite part. It will find your tv code with its 'quick program mode' and will find you other devices through its 'scroll through codes' option. That was always the worst part, was trying to deal with all those codes... that's why I never dealt with it and ended up with 4 remotes. Also, it's easy to use and navigate around this remote, and lights up for easy night time use as well.

What is the best panini maker under $100?
Cuisinart GR-1 Griddler Panini and Sandwich Press
I love making paninis.... I use this thing all the time. It's not super fancy or anything, and doesn't unfold or have removable cooking plates or anything, but it makes one hell of a panini.... which is all I need it for. It doesn't have a temperature adjustment, but if you just plan on making paninis and other hot sandwiches you don't need it. This machine will cook your panini perfectly every time. It also has a floating lid for height adjustment, depending on the thickness of your sammy.

What is the best beginner sewing machine under $250?
  Singer Talent Sewing Machine, 3323S
Singer is a really old, trusted brand of sewing machines and accessories. This one in particular is great for beginners and people who are interested in simple sewing procedures. It has 23 different stitch patterns, 1 step buttonhole (a nice feature for such a machine), and is really easy to thread... even has a drop in bobbin and automatic needle threader. It can't really do any advanced procedures, like embroidering or anything, but it is a really high quality, rugged machine that will definitely keep you sewing for years and years.

I think this would be a great option for you, but only if you are into a more modern look, like me! This is a beautiful fan... I've actually gotten lots of compliments on mine since I had it installed. My favorite is, "wow it looks like a propeller" because that's what I thought! What drew me to it at first was the energy star rating, and the simple modern lines just sold it to me... it adds a nice touch to my living room. It's not made of stainless or anything (like it looks). It's actually a plywood laminate, painted aluminum blade. This doesn't come with any lights or switches or anything, so keep that in mind when shopping!

What is the best lock for my bike?
Avenir Standard U-Lock and Cable Lock Duo
If you are going for shear safety, I would suggest this cable/U-lock combo. It's a great thief deterrent to have two separate locks - because to a thief this means twice the work and twice the time. The U-lock is 11mm thick and the 4 foot cable is 10mm thick. It would take a lot of effort to remove both of these items from your bike! I will say, though, these things are kind of heavy and bulky. If you have a long or strenuous trip to work, you might want to consider a lighter, more portable option.

What is the easiest vegetable to grow on a balcony (in California climate)?
La Costena Tomatillo, 28-Ounce (Pack of 6)
Obviously you won't be growing canned veggies...although that would be cool! Try growing some tomatillos. They are an excellent choice for a southern California summer time, as they are pretty resilient to sunlight and you don't have to water them every day... only when the soil is completely dry. They are over all fun and easy to grow, can be grown in pots, and can be used for salsas, jams and jellies. Yummy!

What is the best grill for an apartment?
Cuisinart CGG-200 All-Foods 12,000-BTU Tabletop Propane Gas Grill
This grill is better than cooking on a full sized grill! Ok... maybe not quite, but it really cooks. The stainless steel burner puts out 12,000 BTU's of shear searing heat. It's really durable and solid, and has a stainless steel lid. The twist star ignition and temperature gauge make using it simple, and it's basically ready to go directly from the box. Over all just very high quality in every way. Get's really hot, really fast. My only gripe is that it is a tabletop grill, and it's kind of hard to find a good place to put it and have it accesible but out of the way.

My mom gave me this book when I expressed an interest in astrology, claiming it was the only astrology book I would ever need. Well I've definitely bought a couple more since then, but this is still my favorite. It's a very interesting read, and is especially useful for relating to other similar issues, like karma and the 'energy of the planet', if you believe in that stuff. Even if you don't though, and just want to learn about astrology, this is a good bet. It will actually make you knowledgeable about astrology, rather than just giving you a daily update or random fact about your astrological sign. become an expert! Read this book! It's the last one you'll ever need!

I think a black coat is always the most professional look. It screams, "I want to run this company some day!" Black coats just seem more sleek and sophisticated to me, especially with black pants and a nice tie. I really like the two button look... it elongates the torso of the jacket a little, compared to the one button, but doesn't look as fancy-shmancy as the 3 button.

What is the best portable grill for entertaining?
  HotSpot Notebook Portable Charcoal Grill
Okay, right off the bat, this isn't going to be the longest lasting grill ever. BUT, you said you needed to hike a mile or two to your site, and you certainly don't want something heavy or bulky, especially with all the other picnic stuff you'll need! This grill only weighs 8 pounds and folds up into a compact 'notebook' shape. It is super easy to set up and use and is about as simple and portable as a grill can get. It is a charcoal grill, so you will need some charcoal/lighter fluid. There were only two problems that arose for me: the paint peeled a little bit when it got real hot, and there are holes in the bottom that the charcoal dust falls out of... so you have to be very careful where you set it up! All in all I'm very happy with it (otherwise I wouldn't recommend it!), but ii obviously isn't the fanciest of grills!

What is the best mystery game for Mac computers?

I love the show CSI, and this game is pretty cool as far as Who-Dun-It games go. I'm pretty sure it has like 5 or 6 crimes to solve, and you can use your "kit" and dust for finger prints and collect samples. It's pretty fun.... but also kind of easy to solve the crimes, so if you are a real CSI buff, it may be too elementary for you.

I think that's the key, though, is deciding how much you are going to use it. This unit isn't designed for super heavy use. Some reviews say the thing gets so hot the glue starts to loosen a little. And if you're rockin some bose speakers, you really only need two! I don't know how big your room is, but this system was certainly designed for no larger than a midsize room, any larger and the sound may get lost. The universal remote is a really nice feature... you can consolidate all of your remotes that are floating around and use this ting for everything. The speakers and woofer are really sleek and elegant. Some say the woofer isn't powerful enough, but I really think it all has to do with room size.

I would agree that acoustic is definitely a better way to learn guitar. No crazy sound effects, cords, pedals or amps... just getting to know your guitar, straight up! BUT, I understand the beginner's need to rock out and be a rock star and play really loud. So, with that person in mind, I recommend these Peavey Sunbursts. It was my first electric (but I learned on acoustic!) and is a pretty nice instrument. It's great for beginners because it comes with everything you need to get started and even shows you how to set everything up. Rock on!
