I chose a camera here with a more affordable price tag as opposed to a medium format. You will still get the high level of image quality, although not to the extent of a medium format, but you certainly don't need to start out with such a high price tag. You will get a shallow depth of field and it's much more flexible. You will also get the live view and self timer that you are looking for. They are useful for maintaining your focus for that sharpness that's desired. Other specs are:
12.3-megapixel DX-format CMOS image sensor
Outfit includes the 3x AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens with image stabilization
D-Movie Mode with sound; record 720p HD movie clips
You'll love your photos and the security in knowing you're working with a well made product.

This one isn't quite available for sale but it will be the one to beat this year. It is built to withstand any environment, harsh or otherwise and will provide outstanding image quality that was once only available to medium format photographers. It's fast and accurate, shoots 10 fps continuous, has a 51 point AF system, an expandable ISO to 204,800, and 1080p video capabilities at 30p with stereo sound. It's a brilliant camera and I for one can't wait to test it out someday!

You sound like you might fall into the enthusiast category and this camera will be perfect for you. The high resolution APS-C sensor will give you beautiful and detailed landscape images. The video mode has manual exposure control, a 3 inch bright clear view LCD display, offers 5.3 fps of continuous shooting, and a dual layer metering system. It's very similar to the 7D but lighter and smaller. The body is made of plastic, unfortunately, but no more cheaply made than the 7D. It's an excellent camera.

Have you ever seen a view camera? They are still the most widely used for landscape photography, however, digital has really come a long way and is very close to the quality so, I might suggest the Pentax 645D. Something I could never imagine affording myself but seriously will blow away any camera around. It has 40MP with resolution of 7264x5440. What?! Never heard of such a thing! Completely weather sealed and cold proof with resistance to rain, snow, and dust. Can shoot 14 bit RAW files and Adobe DNG formats and has a responsive 11 point AF system which helps improve focus speed even in lower light. This camera is outstanding and if you consider it, please give us an update. I'd love to hear more about it and maybe see some samples!
By the way, what are you replacing?

With all of the programs that you might run simultaneously, I would recommend the MacBook Pro. It has a very fast processor, a lot of power, and a lot of memory. The sound is also pretty good so listening with headphones won't always be necessary to hear the quality of your work. These are computers that will last you many years over most other PCs. It is of high quality, very strong, user friendly, and have the least issues with viruses or malware. Apple is also very well known for their great service. You'll be well protected and taken care with a purchase like this.

This laptop is a great value for the money. It has a very simple design and body style that the performance definitely outshines. It runs quickly and efficiently, has a great amount of memory space, the graphics are beautiful on the 13 inch screen with great resolution creating a sharp and bright picture. Not only will this computer be great for business but anything that you might like doing at home as well. The laptop is the very best in quality and reliability, Apple has great service, the laptops are user friendly, and they are least likely to get a virus. Well worth the investment.

I'm not sure about you but for myself, when I travel, I prefer light and easily portable. This laptop is definitely both. It is one of the best performing laptops on the market. It comes with a Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB of hard drive space, a DVD/CD superdrive, 13 inch backlit screen with 1280 by 800 resolution, an Intel HD graphics 3000 card, and runs on about 7 hours of battery life. While you travel you will easily be able to connect wirelessly to the Internet, watch movies, do word processing, play games, etc. It's a great travel companion.

For DJing I would definitely go with something fast and has a great deal of memory for your music downloads and changes made. The MacBook Pro is definitely the laptop that will outperform any other in this category. You will also get the benefit of a beautiful, bright, and sharp computer screen. It's 15 inches so you definitely be able to view it in the dark night clubs or well lit booths...or any other places your perform. It's a great laptop.

I would recommend either a refurbished laptop for something along the lines of this Toshiba. It only has 1GB DDR and 250GB hard drive space but it will do what you need it to as far as browsing the Internet and watching movies. It comes with a 10 inch screen with native resolution and it's LED backlit. It also has amazing battery power with a little over 8 hours of viewing time. It's sufficient for your needs and well below your budget.

Okay, so to begin, here are the specs:
2.4 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 Processor
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
500 GB Hard Drive, 8x DVD/CD SuperDrive
13.3-Inch LED-backlit Display, 1280-by-800 Resolution, Intel HD Graphics 3000
Mac OS X v10.7 Lion, 7 Hour Battery Life
For video editing it is one of the most visually stimulating. It performs fast and efficiently and will provide you with the ability to run both Windows and OS operating systems so you will be able to run any program you should choose. Final Cut is also one of the most popular programs used currently by video editors and it only runs on Mac. You'll love the programs you can use as well as the laptops capabilities.

Most often I would go Mac but I think this Sony VAIO is a great choice for best in multimedia. It comes with a 16 inch wide screen with high def, it's very powerful and very fast with a Core i7 processor. The graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce, has a Blu-ray disc drive and is equipped with Windows 7 Home Premium. This is a very well built machine at a great price.

I'm hearing that this is the smartest alternative to the MacBook Pro. It's not a gaming laptop by any means but it will be great for your standard workload at school and home. It has great battery life, it's very light, and the pricing is awesome. You will definitely be able to stream Netflix. It's not the best computer out but it's the best for the price. You won't be unhappy with it.

Price $2,580 â—† CPU Core i7 2720QM 2.2GHz â—† RAM 8GB DDR3 1600MHz â—† GPU Nvidia GTX 485M â—† Storage WD 750GB 7200RPM â—† OS Win 7 Home Premium 64
This is said to be the fastest 15 inch gaming laptop on the market currently. Of course you can configure it in any fashion that you like but you can only choose from two of the fastest graphics cards, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M or the AMD Radeon HD 6990M so you get a lot of power in a smaller package. You will get great performance but probably not terrific battery life. The look isn't flashy but the laptop is made up of high quality material making it strong and durable. Definitely the laptop to beat this year.

I generally always seem to flock to Mac laptops because they're performance has been, bar none, the very best of any computer. They have less tendency to crash which will be very important when DJing and this particular laptop offers a great deal of memory and speed providing even better performance. The very best thing about this computer over the 15 inch and especially 13 is that the 17 inch screen will be easier to see in a dark club or a well lit booth. Seeing what you're doing and playing is almost as important as the quality of your software, all of which will be best played on the Pro.
|
|
|
|
|
The Pro is more than a mainstream laptop. It has a visually sharp 17 inch screen with 750 GB of hard drive as well as 4GB of RAM. Battery life is said to last for about 7 hours so between the office and home you should be covered, just can't guarantee a full 7 hours when on a plane due to movies that might make the battery go faster. This is certainly a powerhouse computer for business, home, and anything else in between. It's fast, performs efficiently and quickly, and has a simple look so it won't draw too much attention when it comes to meetings, etc.

|
This is a great laptop that is well within your budget and is a dedicated kids laptop. It is a full sized laptop with a 13 inch screen and provides features such as a 250GB hard drive, games, word processing, Internet, etc. There are also some great features for parents such as the Net Nanny Internet filtering software for safe browsing. Of all the laptops out there I think this one is most beneficial for the safety features alone!

I don't know much about software development but I do know that MacBooks are truly great machines that offer high performance, fast processing speeds, amazing graphics, phenomenal quality, and really great technical and customer support. I think if you went with a MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air you would be very happy. The great thing about Macs is that you can run Windows simultaneously much easier than running a Mac system on a PC. This will benefit you if you do software for OS systems or for Windows. It's everything you need and will eventually want.

|
For video editing I would recommend a computer with a powerful processor, out of this world graphics, and large but fast hard drives. That's what this 17 inch MacBook Pro will provide for you. While you're working with your high def videos, this computer will provide you with the very best in high native resolution. The colors are bright and sharp and the black is deep. It's a lightweight laptop but it's also very strong with a single body. It has a very spacious 750GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM, and a great battery life of roughly 7 hours. I highly recommend this laptop.

I actually have a friend who purchased this computer some years ago when he was doing DJ work, since then he uses it for his audio editing and other multimedia projects in LA.
It comes with a Core i7 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX and a 17 inch screen. The memory holds 6GB but is expandable to 24GB. From what I am told this computer is a beast. You will get top notch performance with this fast processor that is up to the task when demanding multiple workloads and running applications. It is also considered one of the fastest gaming laptops out, on top of even Alienware. It's supposedly the fastest laptop in the world therefore definitely worth the money. From what I've seen, it starts at $2,000 but depending on your upgrades and how you build it it can increase significantly. Definitely a high performance machine.
|
|
|
|
|
It's a basic laptop as laptops go but it's a solid computer and a great too for DJ's on a budget. First the good things: It's highly portable, inexpensive, has Wi Fi, and works great with most if not all professional programs. It comes equipped with Windows XP and has 3GB of RAM so your sound card shouldn't give you any problems. It also comes with 3 USB ports so you will have plenty of room for your sound card driver as well as the controller.
Now the bad: this is a netbook so the screen is very small which might inhibit your ability to see well in a club or even a booth that is well lit. All in all, it works well, it's cheap, and it's very light. It's been recommended by many other DJ's who have used this before increasing their budget down the road.

This is just a little above your price range but a definite winner in this category for audio editing. Seamlessly stream photos, videos, music, etc. to an HDTV. It is perfectly mobile, ultra thin, lightweight, and durable with its metal body. The bright 14 inch display allows for full screen views, has a full size backlit keyboard, and can run multiple applications at once without pause. Comes preloaded with Beats Audio so you can hear music the way it's meant to be heard with crisp solid sound and rock hard bass. It runs an Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost technology, 4 GB of RAM and a 750GB hard drive. Battery life is anywhere between 5 and 6 hours and only weighs in at just under 6 pounds. It's a full package at a great value.

The MacBook Air will give you quality and power for all of your needs. The design is thin and simple in a lightweight package so traveling or moving from room to room won't be a problem. The processor is fast so your 8 year old can do any task, big or small. It also includes the multi-touch trackpad for navigating the computer or the Internet. With the memory and storage capacity of this computer, you and your 8 year old will be able to play games, watch movies, listen to music, download files quickly and without worry that you'll fill up too quickly (although an external hard drive is always a good idea). The laptop also features FaceTime camera so you and your family can video chat with grandparents and friends, and not just those who use Macs, you can also call iPhones and iPod touch users as well. If you find that there is so much more you do on Windows rather than the Mac system but want the reliability and service Apple provides, you can run Windows on this machine seamlessly. You won't find a better computer for your family or your kids.

First, here are the specs of the MacBook Air:
1.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
4 GB DDR3 SDRAM
128 GB Solid State Drive
13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor
Mac OS X v10.7 Lion, 7 Hour Battery Life
This will more than handle your school workload as well any extra curricular activities such as networking, watching movies, listening to music, downloading photos, video chatting, etc. It is also a computer that will last you all 4 years with phenomenal customer and technical support. You will have to check with your college or university to find out what software requirements are but the great thing about this computer is that you can run on a Mac system but use Windows simultaneously. It's definitely the best money can buy.

This 17 inch Intel i7 will give you everything you want and need while you travel with faster performance than anything you've ever used. You can transfer files quickly, face chat with the HD camera, and even connect your laptop to other displays for a larger screen or higher resolution. The Pro is thin and light but it is a workhorse and very durable. Along with 7 hours of battery life your laptop will also feature automatic graphic switching that will provide performance when you need it and energy efficiency when you don't. You get 750GB of hard drive space and 4GB of RAM along with ultra fast wireless, bluetooth, 3 USB ports, and a FireWire port. All of the most important features for travel in one.

This MacBook is just the high performance machine you need. The CPU is an Intel Core i7 with 4GB of RAM and 750 GB of hard drive space. You will get an amazing 17 inch display with high resolution and a video card integrated with AMD Radeon HD 6770M. You will also get your much needed FireWire ports, great graphics for your audio and video capabilities, and 7 hours of battery life. This powerhouse laptop is fast one of the best options for a video editing.

This Intel Core i3 with 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive for just a few dollars over your budget is a great buy. It's light at 4.8 pounds and is small enough to fit into your backpack. It features a dedicated number pad in addition to your keyboard. The touchpad is responsive and the scrolling works great. You get 3 USB ports, a DVD burner, HDMI, VGA, and a 2 in 1 digital media card reader. The HD webcam will give you crisp sound and detail while video chatting, although some images may appear darker under fluorescent lighting. The 15.6 inch display isn't the most amazing to look at. Some of the colors are muted depending on what you're watching but you still will be able to stream movies, listen to music, surf the web, and rip CDs with minimal slow down if any. While not being the fastest it is one of the best deals around.
|
|
|
|
|
While a 17 inch screen would be preferable, this 15.6 inch screen will be surprisingly sharp and crisp while playing games. Generally PC's offer more for gaming users but I think this laptop will be flexible and fast. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 500GB of hard drive space, an AMD HD graphics card, a 1 year warranty, and 1 year accidental damage warranty. Battery life is great at around 8 hours and it's lightweight so you can travel or commute with ease. It won't provide you with 3D gaming or the top of the line graphics card but I think it is of excellent overall value.

This is a great mid-range TV. Everyone I know really likes it and I have a larger version that I have been very happy with. The really great thing about it is that it comes with features that are mostly found on higher end products. Not to mention the price is fantastic. I would highly recommend this one.

I saw these in Target recently and am dying to get it for my own kids. I think it is so great that they are creating things so close to our own important electronics but geared toward children so that they can get a better grasp on our technology. Not to mention all of the wonderful things that they can do and learn with them. I saw this tablet for far less than what it is being advertised here, by the way so definitely shop around if you decide this might be a winner.

I often like to get rid of the cases and use organizers such as these. It's nice and tidey and they can travel with me instead of staying home on the shelf. I like this one because they made room specifically for the insert.

I can't pretend to know a whole lot about speaker systems but I do my research, especially when it comes to things for my home. This is the system that is getting really great ratings currently (Aperion Intimus 4T Hybrid SD) and I'm thinking about surprising my husband with. It comes with 6 speakers in the package and they are nice looking tower speakers. The subwoofer is remote controlled and the cherry is real wood or comes in black. I think the only thing I saw that may be of issue for some is that the subwoofer may require an expert to get the best sound from the equalizer. Reviews say it's pretty awesome.

My husband is in construction so he generally opts to build our closet organizers, however, when we made a recent move into a rental he chose to use this set up. It's not the prettiest by any means but I prefer my closet doors to remain closed anyhow. It does the job well at the very least and I can make changes quickly and easily without needing to wait for my husband to get home and help me out. I love it for the kids rooms because I can have a higher and lower bar for more clothing to fit and then use the other side for shoes, toys, etc. It's pretty great.

Lansinoh is one of the most widely purchase of all storage bags. They are pretty inexpensive and the nice thing about them is that you can easily write the date of storage so that when you freeze or refrigerate you can see which need to be used first. I can't imagine you can go wrong as far as storage goes but these are probably one of the better valued.

A little over your price range but a great camera perfect for your sporting events. Ideally, whatever you get, you want a camera that shoots 60p. Especially for sports, it shoots fast motion seamlessly.

I love paintings or pictures like these. They have so much character but still represent a little something we all desire. You have some Italy in it and your wine. Maybe the best of both of your requests. It's also a great price. You didn't mention a price so I'm not sure how far you're willing to go. I took a shot. Hope you like it.

This one is actually very neat and pretty unique. I love the black jewels around it. Definitely makes the pink pop and stand out. I also love that it's a heart. I would send the right message from her husband.

This is what I recently bought and dang, it is so much less expensive than when I bought it. It's completely wireless and it has a touchscreen that performs well. I don't have any issues going somewhere that I didn't intend to go. I can print from anywhere in my house and if I don't have my computer handy I can also go to my email from the touchscreen or Internet and download or print from there. I can scan and copy too. It's a great printer and the ink is actually less than it was for my previous Canon. Print quality for pictures is also very good.

I know you're looking for something above your mirror but I just think these are so much better and far less expensive, not to mention there is no installation required. It's big and bright. There is a little trick to this mirror however. To make sure that the lights don't burn out so quickly you have to hold the power button down for 5 seconds and when the lights come on you can let go. There have been many people on amazon and ebay who thought their product stopped working but apparently they weren't aware of this function. Turns out that the lighting is actually flattering too. My favorite feature is the two side mirrors, they definitely help me eliminate any shading issues or make up lines. I love it.

The transfer speed is very fast and the data is never lost. This is a very reliable flash drive and the price is unbeatable, especially considering the size you're getting here. The only thing that is disappointing is that it is rather thick so if you're using a computer with bumper to bumper USB ports it's possible one of them will have to be removed to fit the Kingston other wise I have no complaints. It does everything I need and more.
|
|
|

I think regular priced you're generally looking at between $700 and $1,000 so if you're finding one for under $500 I'd jump on it. Is it an LCD? Even better if it is. I'm trying to get rid of all of my plasmas because one way or another my kids or husband leave on the Wii and it burns the screen. Better investment is to go LCD I think. They have great picture quality, last a very long time, and you can double them as a monitor if you want to play with your computer on a big screen. Kind of fun!

This is a mascara I've been looking at getting for myself. I generally just us whatever mascara and coat on the layers but this one gets great reviews from my friends who swear it builds their lashes and makes them look more natural than my silly spider yes. It's not supposed to clump or get sticky either. Might be worth a look.

I need so much help in that department sometimes it helps to get a kit. This one has a few colors to blend or shade for going out at night but they are light enough for doing light shades for day time activities. I love the colors and thing they could go with every shade of hair color.

I think that the gift ideas you're getting are great, but a gift certificate to one of his favorite stores isn't a bad idea either. It's a guarantee that he'll get exactly what he wants. Sometimes it's not about getting what you think or hope he wants, it's about getting exactly what he wants and when you can't do that, the next logical step is getting something to that he can get it himself. Better safe than sorry.

I actually hear this a lot, generally from people who've run their whole lives. Supposedly our bodies weren't made to run, personally I believe our bodies weren't born to run with the shoes we currently use. If you've never tried the barefoot shoes, you should. They've changed my life and they've changed the way I run making it possible and more plausible for me to run harder, faster, and longer. They are miracle workers. Honestly, they will probably change the way your knees react to running.

I've never actually seen this before but the other day I was looking for a gift for a friend who loves candles and came across this. It might very well be perfect for your non-working fireplace. It has the logs for the look of the fireplace but the candles set off a perfect look for setting and a little fire ambience. It's pretty neat looking.

Oh my gosh, how fun. I hope you have a great time. I personally would purchase a good pair of long johns and wear a good coat. I've never been personally so I don't know if it will be wet, snowy, or just windy but in general a good waterproof wind jacket with a fleece interior would be best. Personally I think long johns would be key. Something lightweight and thin so you can wear your jeans over them.

Making sure your espresso is great is hard work but I used to work at a coffee drive through. The general key is to not over steam the milk. There is some discussion on which way is best to add the espresso but there are a couple different ways. You can pour the milk in first then the espresso or you can pour them in at the same time. Never pour the espresso in first and then the milk. I don't know why but it sours it a bit and never tastes as fresh. Hope these tips help.

My brother swears by these. Whenever he feels like he might be getting sick he sucks these down and so far they seem to work pretty well for him. They boost his energy and definitely seem to reverse the effects of whatever he might be feeling. He recommends them to everyone. I've loaded my cupboards with them because my kids are old enough now that they can have some. Perfect for the whole family.

I have two small dogs and can't stand shampoos that have a chemical smell to them. I found this particular shampoo online and love it. It smells like lavender but not so much that my dogs smell like a walking tree or something. The shampoo cleans well and leaves their coat soft. Their skin doesn't dry out either which is nice but not so moisturizing that their hair gets oily again in a few days. It's simple but effective.

This isn't exactly high quality or anything but I love things like this that are dark and kind of scary. It definitely sets the Halloween mood. It's stylish, can't ask for more than that. If I could find something more solid and real I would totally go for it but in the meantime, this works great.

I would check fares on cheaptickets.com, expedia.com, travelocity, priceline.com, or even the individual airlines themselves. I have actually found cheaper fares sometimes on the airlines website. It doesn't happen often but it does happen. Check their calendar dates for best days to fly, that will also save you some money. I often choose dates that add about $100 because they are such popular days to fly.

Honestly I make my own creations. I will use whatever type of pasta sauce is on sale and add diced tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, garlic, sometimes burgandy olives, red wine, etc. I haven't experimented enough to make my own sauce altogether but the combinations is amazing. If you want to try it saute onions and garlic then add meat. After browning the meat add mushrooms and olives then saute with red wine. Add the diced tomatoes and simmer. Lastly add the pasta sauce and cook. I like mine cooking all day but at a minimum for an hour. it's delicious!

Any laptop is slightly fragile but it isn't overly fragile. I wouldn't recommend dropping it or anything but I wouldn't recommend that with any computer. Apple makes some great quality products, I wouldn't be to worried that they'd make something so cheap that it would be considered any more fragile than other laptops on the market.

Swiss knives generally get the higher ratings with regards to sporting goods and pocket knives but my husband loves this knife by Smith and Wesson. It's a great folding knife so my husband can wear it in his pocket. He takes it camping, fishing, and hunting and it fits well in his hands with the thumb rest and finger grooves. It's durable and made of quality steel.

I believe that most pregnancy tests are all very much alike. I generally purchase this one because of the value and number of tests you can get for the price and have never had any problems with it. The tests have all been right on. That's not to say that the others might be worse off than this one. I'm sure they're all great, but this is the one I personally buy.

I actually use my phone more often than this recorder but I used to use this regularly and it was truly the best. There is a ton of space for recording hours, 2GB of memory, background noise doesn't come through easily, and if you want it to it records in MP3 format. It's also one of the more attractive recorders I've seen. The controls work really nicely. Definitely a great buy.

I generally prefer Skullcandy above others, and I generally like the earbuds more but these are also really great. They have great sound quality and I love the bass that comes through. The foam earpads are very comfortable and the noise cancellation is really effective. They're definitely a really great purchase.

Okay, this may sound weird but the scariest things for me sometimes are the most innocent. There is this zombie baby I saw once when I went to a party that just game me the creeps and I think about it still to this day. Maybe it's the whole Chucky vibe, although he's not scary, the idea of a doll or baby going evil is just plain sick. Here's a link to a pretty angry, scary baby: http://www.spirithalloween.com/product/Sv-Sly-Shy-...

This one is pretty tasty and fitting for Halloween. It's called the Vampire's Kiss.
Ingredients:
2 oz Vodka
1/2 oz dry Gin
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
1 tblsp Tequila
1 pinch Salt
2 oz Tomato juice
Shake with ice. Strain over ice in an old fashioned glass. I have some Halloween goblets we use for this drink. Sadly we are totally those people who sit on our porch with a goblet of either wine or some Halloween drink and pass out candy or scare the neighbor kiddies. Lol. Favorite time of the year.

My kids love the Gummy Vites. I've tried a few but these seem to go over the best. They love the taste and get cranky as can be when they don't get more than the recommend amount. I've not tried the Flintstones gummies but I'm curious now. I didn't even realize they had any. Ah well, these work. I'm just curious which ones are actually more nutritious.

Hmmm...this is some of my favorite lip gloss in the world. The flavor is amazing, of course (my kids can attest to that as well) but the gloss actually moisturizes well, the color is subtle, and it stays on for a very long time. I'm not a fan of continuously applying makeup or lip shine, makes this convenient.

I adore blankets and cuddling. It doesn't matter if I'm hot or not I just like to cuddle up with a soft, warm blanket and enjoy the soft. This one in particular is very soft and cushy. It's not too heavy to make you sweat but it will provide warmth where you need it. I use it on the back of my couch when I'm not using it and it looks great even as a decoration.

Quick and easy snacks can be string cheese and apples, or cheese and pears, yogurt with cottage cheese is a great snack, jerky and a homemade trail mix is a really good snack, and one of my favorites is to eat fruit dipped in yogurt. In fact, I'm currently eating Granny Smith apples with a yogurt dip that is probably more sugar than "healthy" would permit but still delicious.

The easiest way to learn to play piano is probably through private lessons but you can also get lessons online through youtube.com, you can order step by step books such as playing piano for dummies, and you can get great computer software with lessons. Technology has really helped make it easier to do everything we want to do from our homes if we so choose. Just depends on what you want to do yourself.

There is so much to change in our lives to make sure our children get a better and longer life, but much like the purchase of a hybrid to save the Earth, unless you plan on living in that apartment/home for more than 5 years the benefits may not really be seen and you'll be paying a much higher premium. With that said, this is a good "non-toxic" paint but I might opt for satin or eggshell finishes so that upkeep won't be so dogmatic. Those types of finishes allowing you to wipe down your walls instead of having to repaint the entire room again because little hands touch everything.

There's been some really good suggestions, napping, massage, running, walking, time with family, etc. For a woman, I opt for a hot bath with a glass of wine and a good book. I could totally use up 2 hours like that. If I were a guy, though, I think I would end up in my man cave with a stogie and a beer. A good end to any day!

I received these as a gift and I'm so glad I did. I don't think I'd ever have purchased them myself. They are BPA and Phthalate free molds and stainless steel. I can't say for sure, but I definitely think the popsicles I make with these taste so much better than the plastic ones. I've made the plain jane Kool-Aid pops, the Crystal Lite pops, and smoothie pops. There are some great looking recipes out there but for the most part I've created my own. It was a great summer.

I would check locally. There are a ton of places to look online but without knowing where you live I can say if they deliver there and without charging you an arm and a leg for it. Most often your local businesses will provide free shipping for the chance to get your business. The prices of good mattresses have really come down so I'm sure you'll find a great one for your price range. Just make sure you go and lie down in them. Buyers remorse over a bed is no fun.

I love my Papered Chef Knives. They are made of amazing steel and the handles are so strong and powerful. I have a larger carving knife and a smaller utility knife but need to get a couple more for paring and other. The quality is amazing. I wouldn't recommend them for dishwashers because they do rust if they sit too long but I think that's par for the course with quality knives. I hand wash mine and they still look pretty after 2 years of constant use. I also purchased a knife sharpener to keep them in tip top shape.

I generally prefer the all-terrain models whenever I buy a stroller. It's so much more convenient when you really don't know what the road conditions are going to be from time to time. I was able to take my kids jogging, walking, hiking, etc. with this and it really held well without too much movement from them at all. It folds up to be pretty compact so I am able to fit it in the back of my car easily or in the closet when I'm not using it. It functions well and looks good too. The price is pretty up there but I think in these cases you definitely get what you pay for. The construction of the stroller is very durable and the fabric is comfortable for even the softest skin. I've been really happy with it.

I've stayed at a couple myself, just depending on who had openings. One of them I stayed is at the Maxwell Hotel--parking is kind of expensive at $35-$48 but they provide room service from the restaurant next door, Internet access, morning coffee, and the use of a fitness facility nearby for only $15 a day. Oh, they have AC which is really nice sometimes. It's located in the Union Square area and of course there is shopping, restaurants, and theaters nearby. It was a good stay but the rooms need some updating.
The Chancellor Hotel was another one. Again, not great for parking prices but there is a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch, a lobby bar, a pool and fitness center you can have free access to nearby (which is unheard of so use it) and they are also located on Union Square. Be aware of your location...some of the rooms facing certain streets can be noisy. I believe they were about to renovate but this was years ago so I'm not sure if they have done so yet.
Hope this helps a little. I'm sure you'll find something that works for you.

I can't say enough good things about my Evo. I think all phones have their issues and quirks, and while mine has had them from time to time, I bought it brand new to the market. I expected to have to deal with a few things. As time has gone on my phone is still one of the best purchases out there. I prefer the touch screen to the keyboard. It's fast and multitasks efficiently, which is important with my business. Smartphones are only as smart as those who've made them so we have to cut people slack. The android phones are great. I think the iPhone is also a very quality phone. You will get good things and bad with both so just buy what you like best.

This camera is $50 over your budget but it is the best entry level camera on the market right now. It's light and portable, is very easy to use and learn but still leaves lots of options for the more advanced user, creates the most beautiful of images, and performs well under low-light conditions. I think that the T2i (550D) is a great camera but you can get a lot more camera for just a penny or 4 more. Something to mull over.

Good ol' Donkey Kong! This game only gets more fun but with 2 people it's definitely a blast. One person can be Donkey Kong and the other Diddy Kong. They have their own abilities separate from each other but work together in the game. If one of the characters die the other can bring them back by hitting a barrel. It's a pretty fun game.

My neighbor has a set of these ear warmers. We live in Washington state and it's getting on the chilly side, especially at night and in the early morning. When he runs or bike rides (he's very athletic) he wears these over his ears. They are completely out of the way and go around the back of your head instead of over your head like the old ones do. It also allows for a better fit when he wears his helmet. His ear buds fit well underneath. He said they are soft and comfortable and never has any problems with them. They look so warm and cozy!

My husband likes the more simple planners to the organizers that I prefer so I bought him one of these. When you open it up it shows you the entire week so it's easy to see what you have schedule week to week as opposed to day to day. The cover is a nice, plain, black leatherette with wire binding. It's simple but definitely helps keep life better organized.

The Notebook gets my top vote for most romantic movie. The story itself is so very sweet and touching but everything that happens when the story isn't being told is what makes me cry every time. The way he loves her and the way he wanted to be with her even when she didn't remember who he was was so very sweet. I laughed, I cried, I cried some more...it's the very best!!!

I love Selena Gomez. Her music is fun, happy, and upbeat. She sings about some very important issues that kids face as well as some personal things that everyone goes through eventually in their lives. I love her videos as well as her music and let me teenage niece as well as my 5 year old daughter listen and watch her.

This recipe has some of the best ingredients for staving off hunger and providing energy. I'm a big fan. Hope it helps.
Super Yummy Trail Mix
1c. Chopped Macadamia Nuts
1/2c. Unsweetened Natural Coconut
1c. Organic Apple Chips Bake-Dried (Bare Fruit Cinnamon Apple Chips brand from Costco)
1/4c. Natural Raisins (make sure there is no sugar added)
Mix and have a handful for a snack, make sure you get a protein source with this!
A good protein source might be jerky or something along those lines. I personally prefer jerky because I like the combination of salty and sweet.

I'm all over myself for standing up straighter or sitting straight constantly. Honestly, I think it's the best thing you can do. Working on your back and stomach muscles will also help but being conscious of the fact that you aren't standing straight is the best way to get into the habit. I have to remind myself everyday, most of the day itself, to stand straight with my shoulders back but low. It takes a lot of effort but aside from a back brace, what else are you going to do? Lol. After a few months of practicing it will become second nature and your body will just automatically do it.

My husband owns a corduroy jacket much like this one (I think it's just a different brand) and I love it on him. Very lumberjack! It keeps him very warm during the fall and winter season but looks rugged and dashing. The nice thing is that it isn't too bulky so he can wear it to work comfortably as well as out to play in. It's also well within your price range. Kind of nice not to have to pay a fortune for some of the nicer jackets right now.

This is a really cute baby gift for a boy or a girl. The lamp is a soft little lovey to cuddle and play with and has the added bonus of a rattle to entertain. It also comes with a few burp clothes that are also very soft. My son got a giraffe when he was born and he still sleeps with it. He's become attached to his little friend and feels much safer when it's around.

I use this carrying case for my MacBook Air. It has a very classic look so I feel comfortable taking it to classes or to work. It has a similar appeal to a soft cover briefcase. All of my accessories well in the side pockets and it also has a strap so that I can carry it over my shoulder. The quality has been great so far. I'm not sure it's exactly waterproof but it holds up well in the rain and my computer has not been affected by the weather at all. It's been a great purchase.

I buy Irish Spring body wash for my husband. I love the smell and he loves the after shower feeling of clean and fresh. It's not so manly that I can't use it from time to time as well. My husband loves the lather it provides even on first contact. He doesn't feel like he is continuously gelling his luffa to make sure he feels as clean as he thinks he should be. A little goes a long way too so I'm not at the store buying a new one every couple of weeks. Great soap.

That is a conflict we are constantly battling. On the one hand I don't want to rot their brains for 18 hours with television but they need occupying as much as I need to concentrate on my driving. It's a handy purchase that can entertain for a few hours when you need some quiet time. This Sony has a great sized 9 inch screen and the batteries last over 5 hours. We've had it a couple years and still haven't had any problems (knock on wood). It's a very nice looking little machine that has proven durable and rugged. You'll be happy with the temporary relief.

I think you could probably get away wearing many different types of shirts but my husband wears something similar to this and gives it thumbs up. It's a very light shirt with moisture wicking, it's very breathable, and so far has been odor resistant. Yeah for me and him! The great thing about the shirt is that you can wear it for multiple types of sports, not just yoga, and be comfortable as well as have free mobility.

I am the queen of quick and easy clean up. I was purchasing other toilet tabs but found that they were deteriorating the toilet tank very quickly so when I found these online I jumped on it. These fight rust around your toilet bowl and in the tank. They last for weeks keeping things fresh and clean. While I wouldn't recommend that your dog drink form the toilet bowl anyhow, these will not cause harm to them should it happen. I'm not sure if it's rust or just a natural ring from water but that brown ring around your bowl will also go away with this product. So far it's the only thing that works aside from using a pumice stone. I love these and I think they would work wonders for you.

This is kind of pricy but I'd swear by it. I used it during both of my pregnancies and never got stretch marks, not I don't know if that's because of this cream or genetics but I have gotten stretch marks in the past on my butt and thighs. After my 2nd child I used the left over cream for those stretch marks. I wasn't hoping for a miracle. Some of them were really bad but I figured it couldn't hurt to use the rest of the cream. After 4 weeks I can say that without a doubt this is the best cream every made and worth every penny. My stretch marks aren't gone, mind you but definitely faded and some of them I can't even see anymore. It's a great product. It's not oily but because it is a thick cream it doesn't dry quickly when you put it on. It doesn't stain clothes either, however, so you should be fine. It's also almost scentless. It's the perfect the product.

These are a great set of cute hooded towels. They are soft enough for a baby's delicate skin and made of terry cloth for absorbency. The colors are beautiful and the pictures are just precious. It's a very affordable packet of three.

My family and I love Clif bars. They taste great and pack a lot of nutrition and minerals. They are also high in protein which is often hard to get the kids to eat on the go. I generally get the variety pack because we all like a little something different, not to mention your snacks can get pretty boring eating the same flavor over and over again. My favorites are the peanut butter and the chocolate chip. Hmmmm. It's a great thing to have on hand.

My daughter and I both watch Paula Deen cook so when I found this set of cooking/baking utensils I couldn't help myself. My son is also a big fan of helping in the kitchen so I'm thinking of buying his own set so there isn't any fighting. The set is perfect for little hands and made of quality, durable material. They can easily pull these out to help me make a cake or pancakes, etc. It's been a joy to have them in there with me and to see their confidence when they've done something great. Great tools.

We're in the process of setting up a playhouse for our 2 kids and this is one of the most recent purchases to add to our collection of refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, cleaning supplies, etc. We bought this washing machine and are looking for a dryer because the kids love to help me out but want to do it over and over again. This gives them the opportunity to do it in real life and then mimic it in play. It's a very realistic machine, it makes sounds, has a detergent dispenser, front loading, etc. I think it's so cute and provides hours of entertainment. I can see that with rough play things might come apart or break but my kids aren't throwing it around or anything. So far it's been great. We're really happy with it.

I bought this for my daughter and it provides hours of fun. She loves to play with the play money and pretend we're her customers. The little conveyer belt is very cute and there's even a scanner to scan the groceries. It's not the best quality ever but it does what it's supposed to do and the price isn't bad. My daughter is learning the meaning and value of money and spending so I think it's very educational as well. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This calculator has a lot more power than I felt like I needed. Even in my accounting classes I just didn't feel like I used it to its full potential. Don't get me wrong, however, it worked really well and had a great keyboard. I loved that it has an SD card slot and a lot of built in memory. It really is a great calculator but much more beast than I really was prepared for.

When we initially purchased our boat I hadn't done much research regarding speakers and what was safe and wasn't, etc. I bought these because they were really inexpensive and completely weather proof. After, of course, I realized that you can virtually hold any type of speaker in your boat but in the meantime, these $30 speakers have really been very good. I mean, the sound isn't as great as a Polk or Infinity but they've provided more than ample sound quality and I didn't have to cut any holes to make them work. These stand up on their own or you can screw them in under the dash area of the boat. I think they work great and in a pinch couldn't be a better value.

We bought this in red for my son. He can't quite reach the pedals so we are able to all go for a walk and he pretends to be riding with his feet up just checking everything out. I think he feels like a big boy sitting on the bike as opposed to in a stroller. The handle in the rear is perfect for pushing and has the ability to turn and adjust the steering. It's a great ride.

This is the set I purchased for my daughter when she was born. It's so pretty and absolutely perfect in every way. All of the colors go well together and of course when I saw this picture I had to have the brown crib and did paint her walls pink. The sheets are soft and the quilt, while it never got used, wasn't too heavy in the event we wanted to use it. Girl bedding is so simple. It's just all so precious.

This is a really great hair mask and it's very easy. I can't stand things that require me to sit in the shower for 20 minutes longer for treatment. All you do is wash, work this through your hair for 1-3 minutes depending on the treatment needed, then rinse. You can wear it longer, 5-15 minutes if you need to but using this regularly has really made it so I don't have to. It makes my hair so smooth, detangled, soft, and really healthy. I love it.

It just so happens that I have the Olympus and my mother has the Canon. I have noticed that when shooting in the same ISO when my mother zooms in on a subject you can see more from her camera. The details are more clear as are the shadows. They both produce great pictures but that has been the biggest difference that I've seen so far.

I'm not a professional photographer but when you buy a quality DSLR, even as an enthusiast, it seems silly to get cheap accessories, especially accessories that will be handling your precious camera. That's why opted to go with a little more professional tripod but at a lesser cost than most others I've seen. It is a great quality product, very strong, very sturdy, and very heavy. Lol. That would be my only complaint, however, I do a lot of photography in the dessert where it gets very windy and this has really stood up to the gusts that come through sometimes. For that alone this tripod gets 10 of 10 stars! It performs wells and takes good care of my equipment. I can't ask for better.

I've only experience with a couple of the cameras you have in mind but I love the Canon EOS 7D and the Nikon D7000. They both perform really well and make beautiful pictures but I think for myself I hold preference for the Nikon D7000. They both perform perfectly in low-light, they both provide beautiful, sharp, and bright images, and they both have menu options that I was easily able to maneuver. The thing I liked most about the Nikon D7000 is the fit. The Canon EOS 7D, while having amazing build quality, was just a little bigger and heavier than the Nikon. When I realized that, my decision was easy to make because not only did the Nikon feel better but it was a lot cheaper to buy as well. It might sound silly but that's how I made my decision.

I'm sure you know most of these already but getting down on ground level to take pictures of children can be very inspiring. You see things in a whole new view. I don't mean getting down on your hands and knees, I mean laying down completely. You can aim straight ahead or in an upward direction and the pictures turn out very unique and quite beautiful. I struggle to ask kids to pose, the pictures never really turn out as great a when they are doing what they are born to do...move, so I generally ask kids what they're favorite thing to do is and if they say jump I ask them to show me how high they can jump, etc. It works pretty well. They're doing something they love and I'm capturing the best smiles and looks on their faces while they try to impress me.

This is one of my favorite accessories for my feet. It works amazingly. It has a grating side (kind of like a cheese grater) that you scrub on all the dry and cracked areas (be careful) then to make it all smooth after I take the file side and scrub. Really helps a lot. After I generally take lotion to my feet, sometimes even put on socks over night to make them soft. It's a great idea.
