Ironically, all of the iPhones are under $250 (excluding contract and data plan). Take your pick; they're pretty good overall.

If you're really looking for a cheap phone, get an iPhone 3GS. Free with a 2 year contract. If you really hate Apple, though, I can't help you.

Surprised nobody posted this. Really a great game, and has a lite version if you don't want to commit too early.

From my experience, Google Books is a great, free option for reading ebooks on your Android phone. It's free, so give it a try!

The iPhone 4 is really the best choice at the moment; while it lacks the power and fanciness of the 4S, its build is the same.
As for Siri, I would recommend getting a new app called Evi that practically does the same thing - without you having to buy a brand new 4S.

The number one choice if you're really cheap. My dad got an iPhone case (quite a rarity, actually) from a Dollar Tree and has loved it ever since. Pretty much the deal with Dollar Trees is that they get excess stock from bigger stores (Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc.) and actually end up with a large selection of legitimate, quality goods.
Now the problem is, you've got to find a case. Worth it or not, not sure.

Would have to say Temple Run, anything from the With Friends series, Waze, Facebook, Evernote, iBooks, Merriam Webster Dictionary, and Skype. Of course, there's plenty more, but too many to name here.
I would also recommend browsing the top free apps section in the App Store. Perhaps you might find something that strikes your fancy.

This question is always asked by aspiring game developers and the like; in short there is no good 3D modeling program for beginners. 3D modeling in itself is a difficult task, and cannot be done by people with no experience.
Rant aside, Blender is the practically the industry standard for indie developers - it's free and has a fast and accessible interface. The learning curve is quite steep, but definitely worth it. Good luck with your modeling endeavors.

Waze is probably the most useful app for any smartphone - it gives you the functionality of a GPS with turn by turn directions and voice while supporting user submitted reports of road conditions and whatnot. Great stuff.

Really, Cat Facts is a bad joke taken too far. Just block texts from the offending number, and go on your merry way. ಠ_ಠ

I would direct you to this video, which compares the strength of Gorilla Glass to several other types of reinforced glass. In short, it's strong.

A gas duster (also called canned air), is probably the safest option for getting dust out of your computer. Just be sure to angle the spray so the dust isn't pushed further into your machine.

Paint.net is yet another great photo editing software, with arguably the best interface out of all the free programs out there.

Little Photo is a great little app that lets you apply a bunch of filters to pictures you take on the fly. And it's free.

Camstudio is a great, free program for doing exactly what you want. It might take a bit to get the right recording settings, but by far the effort is worth it.

Everything else I have pales in comparison to this.

Apple recently lowered the price of the iPhone 4 to $99. I'd say that's the best for the price (though the 3GS is now free with a two year contract) since the iPhone 4 has a fast processor, good 3G, and supports Retina graphics.
