Yes, if you have a stable internet connection and $60 to spend. If you do not like top-down dungeon crawlers or mouse clicking all the time then it is probably not the game for you. Personally I have very much enjoyed what I have played so far (Start of Act 4) and I like the idea that uniques are genuinely unique from lvl 1-30 I have yet to find even 1.

The inflation price of goods and some (unfortunately mostly entertainment) services has historically out-priced the inflation of wages. So yes, but it is not likely to change. Thanks to groups of people like Kickstarter.com and other entrepreneur type business maybe the gaming community will move away from needing large corporate backing and sell directly from the programmers/artists/developers etc.. to the consumers and *fingers crossed* will also allow them to try different ideas that they would not be able to attempt since they may not be "safe" choices with a guaranteed profit.

HP released many laptops in 2009 so without more info your question is far too general to answer helpfully. But if you just need to know how much space you have left on it (and I find it hard to believe you dont know how)
Step 1. Click the start button usually located on the bottom left of your desktop
Step 2. Select "Computer" which should bring up your "C" and possible "D" drives
Step 3. Right click on your "C" drive and select "Properties" in the menu
That should give you a graph showing how much total space, used space, and available space your hard drive has.

The cheapest way to cool a laptop would be a laptop pad, this one is a dual fan design that keeps your laptop raised so the fans can move more air under and around your heat vents. Its not the perfect solution but it should bring your laptop temp. down a few degrees.

It depends on what you plan on doing while traveling and how much access you will have to power outlets since Alienware laptops are optimized for gaming they have very low battery life, so if you are going to be out and about often (without power sources at hand) your best bet will probably be a MBP (Macbook Pro)

I have heard many streamers referring Xfire as well as Fraps for streaming/vidcaps for gaming and from what I have found you can make your capture settings pretty low which will drastically reduce the amount of space used for the file. Also compressing the file into Mpeg2 format via Window Movie Maker or others like Adobe After Effects etc..will help a lot.

Personally I would (and did) go with ps3 because it was a natural progression of interface and control from nes - snes - ps1 - ps2 - ps3 always felt very comfortable plus I was a huge fan of Final Fantasy and assumed they would stay as PS exclusives, although that turned out to be not so true. Either way after the many years my ps3 has lasted (5 years running still works like new) compared to the many red rings I have seen in my time (Ex-Gamestop Employee) and all the discs I have seen 360's F'up from being knocked while in play etc...I am still happy with my choice and since the ps3 is only $200 these days, I say pick it up and buy yourself some games. Or buy an Xbox 360, won't hurt my feelings.

If you haven't already given it a shot, wait for borderlands pack to be on sale again, good fps and rpg elements combined into one fun to play game, best with multiplayer but still a great single player game.

Hellgate: Global can be pretty fun, keeping in mind it is all micro-transaction based so you can purchase EXP boosts etc..but you can get pretty deep into the game before having to think about any of that stuff.

You may get kicked out of a bunch of servers for "hacking" because you just cant respond with an analog controller as quickly as you can with a keyboard/mouse and people will assume you are cheating but It does work just fine.

Uncharted 3 or Infamous 2 bundle. They are both good games although I imagine if you enjoy Multiplayer FPS stuff on PS Online you should get the Uncharted bundle, you will get a lot more replayability out of it.

Out of those I've played Hellgate the most, it is pretty fun for an mmorpg perspective and if you havn't burned out much on that genre then you will certainly enjoy although if you are anything like myself and take to games at a sprint you will find yourself lvl capped and gear grinding in less than a week and that can get pretty boring quickly.
As for DCUO, I havn't played enough of it to give much of an opinion but I did enjoy what I've seen so far, although the aggro (aggression range) of the mobs can be a tad annoying in the early levels.
Tribes on the other hand is pretty amazing, like a kick back to the old style where skill trumps weapon load-out, although they did implement a leveling system which you can use to boost some in-game stats. Its a great fps and definitely in keeping with Hi-Rez studios standards.

I played the last beta that was open 8th-10th of march and it was pretty fun, although depending on how hardcore you are about pvp I suggest joining a PVE server if you prefer leveling/questing. My favorite thing about the game was that you have to actively fight and block/dodge in real time and not just spam number buttons. Although I can imagine it will get a little grindy at some point, if you haven't played a krpg before you may find the questing slightly long-winded. All that aside though it was still pretty fun and I look forward to the next beta weekend on my Berserker.

Yes HDMI carries sound and video. In fact something cool I just found out about my monitor (using an HDMI cable from my ps3 to my monitor) was that it had internal speakers, never would have guessed since its only a 19" but still pretty cool.

Neither, the heat is generated by your GPU working harder than your cooling fan/heat sink can compensate for, thus generating more heat than than can be dissipated. The problem has very little if nothing to do with your battery being in or out. Your best bet would be to buy a cooling pad to rest your laptop on which would lower the overall temp and create cooler air for circulation.

I think in order for something to succumb to hype, it must be more popular than practical. Skullcandy is low priced and decent quality in comparison to most headphones available. They may not be the best certainly, but are they worth the price? I think so.

I've been using these for years so maybe I am slightly biased but I really like how comfortable the mid-sized eartips are with these earbuds. I dont have any trouble distinguishing area sounds during gaming although I typically use headphones for PC gaming, I can imagine some people might want to play some TF on a laptop or somewhere that requires alittle more discretion so earbuds may be the way to go.

I have literally all of those games and am using the GTX 560, which I got after having a crappy GT 220.
The difference was insanely noticeable. Its a fantastic card, I run Skyrim with High settings and I have no problems what so ever. Fantastic card, stays really cool to compared to my last one, great fan.

I also like the idea of a zombie survival game (dead island you failed me) where you are constantly trying to get to safe places, collect resources, assemble weapons and gather allies. Maybe you could even start fortifying a place but the stronger you make it, the more zombies that start to gather around it so you would have to get a large group together in order to fight through the horde, if you wanted to gather more resources. Basically "Dawn of the Dead" in MMO form.

Refurbished in pretty much every use means the item was at some point "broken" or not working as promised, sometimes parts are replaced, sometimes software..but generally it means the product had been used, found faulty in some way and was sent back to the manufacturer for repairs. Sometimes you can get lucky and find a refurbished product that will work and last as if it were new but with laptops..i dont know, I generally stay away from "used" tech products. Just my opinion though.

Really good monitor especially for gaming with a 2m response time, my home monitor is 5m and it works fine for fps gaming. Decent size, not sure what you prefer but I cant concentrate on a screen if its too big. And of course Full HD 1080p quality picture with a 1920 x 1080 true resolution.

If you comfortable with inner-ear headsets then I highly suggest these etymotic brand headphones. A few reasons, most macs come with free audio software which may lead more djs to start out with them and then naturally be more comfortable with them when they want to use them professionally. Macs tend to be more reliable when it comes to random crashing issues, longer battery life (doubt its a problem for successful artists as im sure they have access to power cables during the show) and a simple user interface in general, although that gap between iOS simplicity and Windows is closing rapidly thanks to resouces like google chrome, where you run almost everything from your browser.

Hey Tony, this is a very decent overall laptop and should get you through school just fine. Nice 14" screen, slim design, 4 GB of installed ram and 640 GB of storage. Has an ok battery life of 6 hours which should be enough to get you through a day of classes.

Yeah this is definitely a difficult question to classify since we are interpreting our own parameters for what makes a camera worth the money. After much searching (Basically came down to 3 cameras) I have to agree with Richard because of the lack of out of the box issues (compared to some unlucky 7D owners) and the price range which should be accessible to most photographers professional or otherwise. Great autu-settings if you just want to grab a camera and take some nice pictures although you should always read the manual lets not pretend we all do. Plenty of options for lenses, and it shoots 1080p video fantastically well.

It may look too big, but it is incredibly comfortable, the leather is plush and doesn't bunch on your ears which can get very irritating as I have experienced from other headsets in this price range. Wireless so that makes less cables to deal with and gives you great freedom of motion, and the mic is very clear when talking to friends. Works with any USB device not just PS3.

I don't know what your budget is but this is currently the top of the line for Geforce, but at $900 you may want to hold off or get the GTX 580 for about 1/2 the price. Either way they are pretty solid upgrades from the 550 ti.

Gaming laptops are a hard nut to crack, only recently have manufacturers started producing small enough hardware to make a viable gaming machine in a laptop body but even then, unless your planning on spending $2-3k you could find a better, cheaper desktop. That being said, That Asus has better specs than my last desktop for about the same price so if you need that kind of portability then its a great choice. Keep in mind heating issues and battery life tend to be exacerbated as you get faster processors and stongers GPUs.

If your willing to spend alittle more or your just the kind of techie that needs the latest and greatest this is a next model of the T Prime with slighty upgraded processing power using the Tegra 3 quad-core and of course Honeycomb OS (upgradeable to ICS 4.0) Can you also purchase the not included keyboard docking station if you want the laptop experience, its also adds 6 hours of battery life to your tablet putting it upwards of 16-18 hours battery life for browsing and 1280 x 800 resolution which is better than the Ipad 2 by quite a bit. If this is out of your price you can always get the TF101 that Belinda suggested, just about the same features with a slightly slower processor, so if you really like to play games as well as browse this may be your ticket.

I have spent hours curled around my pillow watching shows and movies on my fire and I couldn't imagine just because the Ipad has a larger screen that is makes it anymore comfortable to watch in bed, if anything I would feel it was too bulky to get comfortable, like sleeping with a laptop on your chest. Plus if you have the microshell casing for it you can just prop it up in front of you or use the strap to hold it comfortably in your hand without having to grip it. Very comfortable and lightweight.

I have to agree that, for the price (not counting additional games or apps) it is a great tablet for younger kids 4-9 years old recommended but Im sure younger kids will be able to navigate and enjoy it to an extent as well. I also like that you can see what kind of progress yours kids are making in different learning areas using the LeapPad Learning Path site which is a great way to know where they may need more help. Plus if you have any older Leapster Explorer games and cartridges, they are compatible with the LeapPad.

But then again, the actual content of WoW is just gone now so I don't play that either. Waiting for D3 and GW2.

Very nice screen size for this price, and 120Hz should give you plenty of picture quality refresh rates for sports. Also has an energy saver mode that detects light and changes the brightness of your screen automatically, some people find it annoying so be sure to experiment with it and turn it off if it bothers you.

$400 these days is a pretty low starting point for TVs but this is still a generally good option, if games isnt really an issue then 60hz should be good enough refresh rate for watching sports with minimal blur and you still get 1080p picture quality so you can watch any HD sports channels you have and get the best picture.

I really like this bundle because they TV is a great size plus Wifi built in, 240Hz for fantastic blur free gaming, and 3D but also the package comes with a 3D blu-ray player, 2 pairs of glasses and 3 Hdmi cables for easy setup. Honestly if your tv is too big, playing multi-players games will probably get harder and harder as you lose that focused vision you might be used to playing on a monitor or 40in or so screen. Great quality TV. I've owned a Bravia for over 8 months now, it is a superb TV, no blurriness on any games (Borderland, CoD,Batman AC) and fantastic picture with blu-rays and HD channels. Has a really nice swivel stand for viewing anywhere and is super light for the size as most flat screens are these days. You may have to pick it up "Like new" from the amazon warehouse but its totally worth it to keep it under budget.

So from my limited experience with audio editing (some fun in-game footage compilations in WoW for friends) I understand that you don't need a lot of processing power which is nice because that can save you lots of money finding the right model. Basically what I would want in your place would be well weighted but on the lighter side, large storage capacity machine with a nice display and I think the L755 has all that.

Apple has a very clean and simple design format for their Macbooks which makes them hard to beat when confronted by a new user, not to say that this machine can't perform well compared to similar priced laptops. As a PC fanboy I have no trouble agreeing that the OS X can be less daunting to start out with, very distinguishable icons and an overall bigger format makes it easier to find things intuitively. Plus they are very well built machines, nice solid cases and I have heard nothing but good things about how fluid the Trackpad feels compared to many other PC models.

This is one of the best laptops (Desktop replacement) I have seen available. What I want in a gaming laptop is comfort (Full sized keyboard, intuitive keyboard design) this laptop has that full keyboard feel. For these next-gen games you really do need a monster of a machine to see the graphic potential and this laptop does not disappoint 750GB 7200RPM HDD + 160GB SSD Hard Drive will make launching your systema and games a breeze, the SSD is what adds the extra cost compared to the cheaper DH71 (1.5GB storage no SSD).
You can always add more storage if you need it, personally I would much prefer the pre-installed SSD unless you have an SSD in mind you want to order and install after purchase. All that helps power the awesome Nvidia Geforce GTX 560M 3GB GDDR5, an amazing card (I have it on my desktop) that puts my previous GPU to shame. Comes with 16GB of memory (might be the max for this model).

It is a very professional and clean running machine for office spaces, quiet although Macs can run alittle hot you can always grab a cooling pad for that. Very functional with its ability to smoothly run OSX and Window 7 seamlessly.
My main concern for this Macbook as a business laptop was Apples lack of adapter compatibility for things like HDMI/DVI but with the newer versions Thunderbolt Port can you use those different cables although you will have to purchase separate adapters for them adding to the cost of the already expensive Apple brand name.
That being said it is a very sturdy machine and Apple has a really good reputation for customer service in regardless to there products.

I really like the full size, sturdy keyboard on this model. If you plan on making this your primary coding machine you are going to be typing ALOT so you really want to find a laptop that has a comfortable keyboard setup for you. Along with that it has a nice 15.6" display, i7-2630QM processor with1GB DDR3 VRAM and a multi-touch pad. Looks like a nice machine for the price and you can easily upgrade it if you find yourself needing more memory although it starts you out with a very respectable 6GB (Up to 8GB).

This machine is amazing for travel because you can custom order it directly from Dell with any extra specs you want including up to a 256 GB SSD (solid state drive) which makes booting up your OS and opening programs 40-70% faster.
It is a lot more sturdy for traveling (but also more expensive) than the more widely used HDDs. And at less than 4lbs you will barely even notice the weight as you take it around Europe. The biggest thing for traveling over seas is making sure you have the correct Power converters and Plug adapters.
Most places you visit in Europe will have a standard 220v and most laptop adapters are rated for 100v-240v so it should not be a problem.

This is right at your limit for spending so hopefully you can find some discount version or refurbished (although for laptops I recommend buying new for warranties). Nothing really fancy here, just a solid laptop for researching subjects, emailing, social media sites and some lighter programs for school (powerpoint etc..not included in Windows 7) It does have a nice 15.6" display though and at a little under 6lbs it should easily fit into your backpack or book bag to take around campus. 3GBs of memory and 320GB storage should last you a good amount of time before you would consider upgrading.
Although it does come with a webcam for chatting I would not rely on it at .3 MP it probably does not work better than any low priced external webcam you could purchase. Also has 3 USB ports, DVD drive if you dont want to store movies directly on your HD (can really take up a lot of space), And a nice Multi-Gesture touchpad.
Keep the battery charged when you can and it should get you through classes just fine with the 6 cell battery (4-5 hours battery life using basic text programs, significantly less when watching movies or flash required media)

Since you are aiming for a top of the line computer, I am giving my recommendation based on the assumption that you will be using the top of the line video editing software such a Avid (Although it is available for Mac or PC).
I want to purpose this laptop because of its pure processing and graphics capabilities, not to mention the 1.5TB's of storage you will have. With 16GB of installed Ram running on the 2nd generation Intel Core i7-2670QM processor you will have no worries about opening as many applications as you might want to use at once and jumping between them. The 3.0 USB makes the transfer of data seamless and so much faster.
As a video editor you will probably not be doing a lot of work when your laptop is not plugged into a wall socket so battery power should not be a big concern, but even if it is you will be getting about the same from a laptop running the same programs or editing/watching video. Also if you have any Video camera that you want to plug directly into your laptop, PC's general have more compatible Input/Outputs like DMI/VGA/HDMI etc.. So keep that in mind when making your purchase.

This took quite some time to decide as there are many great options for laptops in this range that have all kinds of diverse uses. But a few of the main points that made the Protege stand out are:
1. Its incredibly light (~3lbs) for how much power it has
2. It has a CD/DVD drive which many laptops in this price range do not (great for playing movies while traveling)
3. With 640 GB of storage you would find it hard to run out of space for pictures/music or anything you wanted to bring with you digitally.
4. It has 2 USB 2.0 slots and one 3.0 slots for faster uploading from external storage devices. And finally
5. Its integrated wireless is such a helpful tool for traveling and keeping connected.
Now some things that may not be what your looking for - It is very light so that also means it wont be as rugged as other larger laptops. Many famous DJ's swear by the mac book pro as one of the best gateways to audio recording/editing and performing on the go. With its uncomplicated and in most cases of software needs, backwards compatible OS, you wont have to worry nearly as much about driver updating and installing. The GPU makes handling multiple programs much more efficient and quiet than on all but the top of the line PC's. Midi gear works directly off the OS as well so that is just one less thing to worry about.
When it comes to audio software there are mac and pc friendly versions of pretty much any up-to-date audio editing program you would most likely use so you wont lose out on that.
Also according to reviews by people in various audio tech positions who have used many different machines in regards to recording directly to a laptop, this also has the least amount of audio background static than anything else that is not studio quality.
As usual with Apple you are going to be paying more for what seems like a similar product you can buy on a PC but with the brand quality behind it, and so many pro's on its side for this particular use as an audio editing machine, it would be hard to find something more useful right out of the gate than this laptop

I'm not a believer in Bigger has to mean Better but I am suggesting this TV because I don't think you will want to replace it for a very long time. 2D or 3D viewing (3D glasses included) 120 hz LED for gaming or sports watching with no motion blur and you can get extras like netflix and apps downloaded directly to the TV, plus its HUGE. Seems like a really good choice if you want a TV that will last and has all the current bells and whistles if that appeals.

Have had this Tv for a little over 8 months in my living room. Looks fantastic for Blu-ray, Ps3 and I even hooked up my Pc to it for a bit to play some SC2 (only time I could see the benefit of a higher refresh rate for a Tv) Great colors and for me the internal speakers are just fine.

I saw this in another post and was blown away by the price/quality of the camera, I have not owned a camcorder in years because they always seemed so pricey for the amount of use I got out of them but this one just seems perfect for at home use or taking on trips. I suggest buying a 32g memory stick to go with it as you will probably end up wanting to shoot a lot of stuff with this camera.

Ok so I've only had this for about a month now but I cannot stop using it, the movies, the apps, the books (so many for free) I mean..I own probably 300 books that I love and will never get rid of but I can already tell my kindle book collection is going to be massive. It is super small and light but so easy to use because of the touch-screen, you can also use it as a radio with earphones and it comes with a pedometer option. If you have not tried a dyson vacuum then you are missing out. The suction on these is crazy even in the wand attachment. Especially since you have pets you will love this machine, it doesnt just move hair around, it will suck it up and at 11lbs you will have no trouble pushing it around. Plus the roller ball makes it so much easier to get into corners and around bends. Give yourself a break and get this vacuum. One small downside actually, the bag is kind of small so you may need to dump it several times depending on how much material your vacuuming up.

I so got into fitness training recently, more for weight loss right now than anything like muscle building and this scale has really helped me keep my water weight under control. It can measure overall weight (of course) in lbs or kilograms, but more importantly it can also measure body fat, hydration and muscle and bone density. Its pretty amazing right out of the box very easy to setup great instruction manual, you can have up to 8 profiles if you want to share the scale. It has really helped keep me on track.

The video is great, image stability isn't as advanced as those available on more expensive cameras but if you have Imovies then you dont really need it. With the battery it comes with you can shoot about 1h 20mins of 720p with the enhanced image stabalizer on or about 2 hours with it off, I recommend you purchase an external battery if your going to do anything like a trade show or comicon you can just put the battery in your pocket and run the charger cable to the camera. Make sure you get an SDHC memory card if you plan on shooting in HD. Also you can upgrade to external mics if you want a higher sound quality otherwise it will just be mono so keep that in mind. For the price you can't really get higher quality.

The bass is boomin on this thing and the customizable sound is fantastic, I have paid more for 2.1 speakers in the past and gotten much less sound quality. You will have a hard time going back after you try these. The cords can run alittle short but spend like $20 bucks at a best buy or Frys to get some RCA extension cables and you're set.

I have a lot of trees around my place that drop leaves all over my patio and driveway so this thing is a nice step-up from constantly sweeping. I read this book for the first time when I was 15, just starting High School and even then I knew it was beyond its time. As is the case with many good "classic" fiction/sci-fi books it references both the potential of humanity to exceed beyond ourselves, and the hubris that our culture(s) are "better" or "correct" when compared to unknown and different ideologies. It has some fascinating action laced with drama and is a great read for young teens to adults.

So heres the deal, the picture displayed is always 480p with an aspect ratio of 4 X 3 no matter how high def the signal going in is so dont expect any HD cables to make that different. But this projector is not a top of the line thousand dollar corporate projector. You can toss this in a bag and take it to a friends place, or to a powerpoint meeting. You could attach it to the roof of a room and paint a wall white for a huge movie room. You could do whatever you want at this price you could just experiment with awesome video placements like using it on a garage door at a party. Have fun with it, I know I did.

This is what I would call an entry level camera but that by no means should imply it is an inferior camera. The D3000 is so easy to use, although if your coming from a pocket sized point and shoot you may be suprised with the size, for a "real" camera though it is pretty small. It doesn't have video this is purely for the photogeeks out there who want a pure camera for one function, taking great pictures.
It comes with everything you need to get started, EN/EL3e Li-ion battery, charger, USB cable, video cable. strap, eye cap, eye cup, software CD-ROM, 18-55mm Nikkor lens, lens cap, instruction booklet and a one year Nikon warranty.
