A hippy at heart, I love the great outdoors. I don't get out into the wild as often as I'd like between activities with the kids and work but it is always calling.

What is the best color laser printer for simple home use?
  HP Laserjet CE866A
This is a solid laser printer for your home use but in case you're wanting to do anything else you will also be able to print professional quality photos and documents. It also offers network connectivity options and cloud printing. Print speeds are a little slower than average but if your use is for simple, this is the way to go. Quality for a good price.

  Epson WorkForce 610
This is a great printer for home use, of course you can use it for business and school as well. Prints excellent photos and documents competently but does slow down a bit when it comes to the photos. Also scans, copies, and faxes. Its a very nice looking printer at a really good price.

What is the very best all-in-one printer for home use?
  HP Officejet Pro 8600
This is an excellent choice for an all in one device. It provides great quality at quick speeds for home or business use. All prints very nice, professional quality photos. Offers versatile connectivity options, auto duplexer, cloud printing, and legal size scanning.
auto-duplexer, cloud printing, and a legal-size scanning bay. The only complaint I might have is that the touch pad requires a little more of an aggressive touch. Other wise it is a very efficient machine for all of your needs.

Need a large TV, mostly for watching sports, say 55+ inches. Any suggestions?
  Elite PRO-60X5FD
Okay, I know that this is a pricey TV but it is exceptional. The colors are bright and accurate, excellent contrast, and all levels maintain their accuracy regardless of lighting. It's extremely energy efficient and offers a really good feature set, including 2 pairs of 3D glasses. It is amazing but I'm not sure it's a good deal but easily one of the best on the market.

What is the best tablet for a beginner under $600?
  Apple iPad 2 PC769LL/A
I think that as a beginner, an iPad is a great opportunity to buy a good quality product that has the easiest interface. There is nothing too terribly complicated about using an iPad. My toddlers are masterful as using them and I've never had to teach them a thing. The iPad offers a 10 inch screen so it's easy to see, starts you off with 16GB of storage space but you can get 64GB should you want or need it, has a terrific app store for games, entertainment, reading, etc. For your Internet there is an Icon that you can click and begin your searches. For email there is an Icon to click on, same with your music library, movies, and so on. You won't be unnecessarily flustered using the iPad.

What is the best tablet for reading under $500?
  Barnes & Noble NOOK Color
I think this selection will be the hardest for you to choose. The two best readers are the Kindle Fire and the Nook Tablet. I have used both but prefer the Nook over the Kindle because of storage space. The Kindle is $50 less, however, it only comes with 8GB of memory and the Nook offers 16GB. I love books and tend to collect them so this would be important to me. I also prefer the screen brightness and resolution of the Nook. It has the most flawless look of any screen I've seen before. I love to read from it, I watch Netflix on it from time to time, and enjoy browsing the web. I can see it well and can adjust brightness as I see fit. Perfect for indoor and outdoor use. I love it.

One of the best monitors in this price range. It has the most superior color performance and clarity and because of the IPS panelling you will also get a wide viewing angle for a crystal clear picture even if you're not directly in front of the monitor itself. Big bang for your buck on this one.

I doubt many people would even notice the drop from 2ms to 1ms in casual use but gamers will definitely appreciate the extra boost in response time. It has 1920 x 1080 resolution, 300 cds brightness, HDMI input and 1000:1 contrast ratio. Some pretty good specs and for a great price!

I use Skullcandy earbuds and I've had the same pair for the past 2-3 years. I love them. The sound is outstanding and when you consider the price in that variable, it really makes a statement. I'm also a big fan of the bass it produces. I can hear the words clearly but can rock out with deep bass. Win win.

These are some of the most comfortable gaming headsets my husband or I have ever used. I have to admit that I don't game nearly as often as my husband but the fact that he can go hours without needing to take them off says a lot. Construction is great for extreme comfort and durability. Audio is excellent for both games and music and the mic filters out noise so your gaming buddies should be able to hear you loud and clear as well. They're actually a pretty sweet style too. I can't say that they are full featured but for the price they're perfect and really come with everything you need.

What is the best tablet for college under $350?
  Barnes & Noble NOOK Color
This is a full featured tablet. It has a beautiful and vibrant screen that has really made my pictures pop, not to mention the amazing viewing of Netflix, Hulu, or other programs I've used. It also features built in WiFi, 16GB of storage space, and a Micro SD slot. Of course you have thousands of books, magazines, and newspapers to choose from but there are also thousands of apps to download including games, activities, etc. and they add more everyday. I love the web browser. It is very easy and offers flash support. Not even the iPad 2 offers that. The Kindle Fire might be less expensive but keep in mind it also offers less storage. This one is definitely worth the extra $50.

This is the best Android tablet. It is as close as it gets to the iPad 2 but thinner and almost as light. It features a micro SD and micro HDMI support, has 1080p video, an 8mp camera that actually takes fantastic photos with great detail and color, and it also features Ice Cream Sandwich. Also can be connected to a keyboard dock that transforms your tablet into a mini computer for word processing and easier typing. Between the docking station and the tablet, you will average 17 hours of battery life. This is a really well featured tablet.

What is the best tablet for reading under $500?
  Barnes & Noble NOOK Color
I've had the pleasure of using the Kindle Fire and I do like it a lot but my husband purchased the Nook Tablet for Christmas and I find that I like it so much more. First, it has twice as much storage space coming with 16GB instead of the 8GB the Kindle offers. It offers a lot of great apps that both my kids and I enjoy using for both entertainment and other uses and they continue to add more everyday. It has a beautiful 7 inch screen with amazing resolution and the ability to adjust brightness and background color for easier viewing while reading. There is a white background with black writing, a gray background (my personal favorite), and a black background with white writing. The browsing ability is also fantastic. It's very easy. I'm also a big fan of the weekly free books they offer if you go to a Barnes and Noble, not to mention the ability to sit in the store itself and download books from the store free with the built in WiFi as long as you're in the store. There are a lot of options with this.

What is the best tablet for business under $500?
  ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-B1
I think for business purposes it would be easier to do your workload on a tablet that can transform into a small computer. This one has a 10 inch screen for easier viewing and you can purchase a keyboard docking station that allows you to easily type and also charges your tablet. Ultimately you can get 17 hours out of the two. You can do anything you can or want on a regular tablet but also very easily word process.

What is the best tablet for outdoor use under $500?
  Apple iPad 3 MC705LL/A
I think you would benefit from any of the tablets out right now because they have the ability to adjust the brightness of the screen and even change the background color so that you see better depending on the lighting conditions outside. I love the iPad because it has a large, easy to view screen with a ton of great apps so I can play games, read, or browse the Internet. If you want one with a smaller screen I would recommend the Nook tablet. It has great screen resolution and the same dimming or lighting features so that you can see better.

My favorite features are the Natural light with flash and Panorama mode. The Natural light and flash mode allow you to take two images simultaneously so that you can choose between the two later. With Panorama you can shoot images while panning over a large area and put the images together for a single image that you'll want to frame. It's a sweet camera.

What's the best laptop a guy can get for $2200?
Apple MacBook Pro MD318LL/A (Late 2011)
I personally love my MacBook. I have never had a computer that worked so well, as fast, or as long as this one has for me. No question it was made of quality materials. Very robust.
2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Processor
4 GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
500GB 5400rpm Hard Drive; 8x DVD/CD SuperDrive
15.4-Inch LED-backlit Display, 1440-by-900 Resolution; AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 512MB GDDR5
Mac OS X v10.7 Lion, 7 Hour Battery Life
You can certainly get a cheaper computer with similar specs but there are a few advantages to this laptop. First, it was made for multimedia. It comes standard with iTunes for your music and movie library, movie/audio/photo editing software, and the ability to run Windows and OS simultaneously (with an added program such as Bootcamp). You can't beat the performance or quality of this Pro.

Business appropriate laptop I can take to the office under $1150?
  Dell Latitude E6420
This is a well valued and powerful computer that would be perfect for business use. Comes with a quad-core Core i7, 4GB of RAM, Intel HD graphics, 128GB solid state drive, and Windows 7 Professional. Size isn't bad with a 14 inch screen but it is a little heavy at 6.5 pounds, however, battery life is amazing with over 11 hours running time. Construction is sturdy. It's designed to minimize wear and tear but certainly not too eye catching that it might detract from work itself. The screen is bright and easy to see. They keyboard is very nice with sculpted keys for easier typing. I think all in all, it's a very strong computer and while not for gaming (but upgradable) it is perfect for work.

Apple MacBook Pro MD313LL/A (Late 2011)
For software development I would highly recommend the MacBook Pro. It's extremely fast, has great storage and memory, and the performance is top of the line as is the quality. I would also recommend a Mac because of the ease of use, not to mention the ability to run Mac and Windows simultaneously so you won't be hindered with only one type of program to run and develop your software. This machine will open up many more doors and possibilities for you in the long run.
2.4 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 Processor
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
500 GB Hard Drive, 8x DVD/CD SuperDrive

Can I get a good laptop for college under $1100?
Apple MacBook Air MC968LL/A (Mid 2011)
This is what I use for school. I don't do a lot of gaming so I can't tell you how it compares there but it's fast, light, and thin so as I walk around campus with all of my books, I don't have an 8 pound computer to worry about as well. It weighs in under 3 pounds and gets over 8 hours of battery life. It's perfect for mobility with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Also offers great graphics and high resolution, all flash storage, and a full sized keyboard that is backlit. I love doing my work on there and of course browsing the net or listening to my music library isn't bad either.

This is definitely the best choice for a DJ laptop. Apple's are known for their quality and performance. They are extremely fast and run very efficiently. You get great storage and memory as well as amazing screen resolution. You will easily be able to run your programs, store your music, edit/change, etc. The other nice thing is that the screen is bright and vivid and not too small so when you have a gig, whether it be in a dark club or in a well lit cubical, you will easily be able to see your screen.

  Acer Aspire TimelineX AS1830T-6651
I love the quality of Acer and when it comes to kids using your electronics, you definitely want to get something that you can continue to count on. The very best part of this computer is that it offers many features and is an amazing price. For starters, this computer is ultra portable. It has and 11.6 inch screen and weighs about 3 pounds. A lot less to worry about when people will be moving it from room to room. Although it is compact it does feature a full size keyboard. The Acer also features a webcam, bluetooth, WiFi, and about 8 hours of battery life. Kind of handy for young ones who often forget to plug the computer back in. It's a small but powerful laptop choice.
