I guess I'm sort of recommending two vacuums here, but I think you will really benefit from this suggestion! Especially if you have lots of stairs.
See, you're getting a great upright vac (which will really be great for pet hair) AND a canister vac, which is easily carried up and down stairs. I know I hate trying to maneuver an upright vacuum on stairs, and I assume you feel the same way!

I think this one would be great for you. 2 cubic feet is pretty huge, definitely family sized. Sharp makes excellent products (all sorts of electronics and gadgets, that in my experience are all very well made) so I think this will be a good one.
Lot's of power (1200 watts) should be plenty for cooking those family sized meals. I love the way it looks.... very sleek. Has plenty of auto cook options and one touch cooking and stuff.
Definitely a great microwave!

I would check out this KitchenAid. It will make you smoothies so smooth their almost toooo smooth (that's what girls say about me... too smooth...)
No but for real this is a fantastic blender that can easily blend ice, frozen fruit, sherbet, or pretty much anything else you would put in a smoothie.
Has a stainless steel blade and a .9 HP motor... that's pretty serious for a blender!
Definitely a good choice.

I would go with this one. There are a few to choose from in this category, but I think this is your best bet. This optical mouse has a retractable cord, compact design, USB connection, scroll wheel, and a bunch of good reviews to go with it!

This model is brand new for 2012... these are awesome laptops! Plays blu ray and has plenty of battery life.

I think this would be a pleasure to watch sports on. Samsung knows how to make a nice TV, dude. The 240hz refresh rate is obviously a huge selling point for the sports thing.... effectively eliminates motion blur. It's a huge screen with remarkable picture quality. You will definitely like this TV.

I think Skullcandy is great for budget headphones. I don't recommend them for high quality stuff, but they make a good budget set. Try these out, I think you'll be pleased.

|
Keeping in mind this is a budget laptop (so don't expect the world!), I think this would be a good purchase. Asus is a good company and they tend to make a solid product. For under $500 this is a pretty darn good deal. I would also look into netbooks if you are concerned with travel.... they won't offer as much power as a laptop but have better specs for travel, like better battery life and SSD's.
This one has decent battery life....around 4.5 hours. Also gives you 4 GB DIMM and a 320 GB 5400 rpm hard drive. Not bad for under $500!

I think Beats are designed with much higher audio quality in mind, and their products show that. To me Skullcandy will always be more of a budget type headphone. From what I can tell their marketing is geared more towards aesthetics than sound quality, and I don't know of any audiophile quality Skullcandy headphones out there.
That being said, Beats are also marketed more as an aesthetic, hip thing to own. The sound quality is pretty good, but most of what you are paying for is brand name (Beats tend to be a little flat sounding if you ask me.).
If you want great headphones go with Sennheiser, Grado, Audio Technica or Sony.... (anyone have any other brands they suggest?.... those are just my faves)

I would agree with Matthew about looking on Amazon. You can select/compare specs and read reviews which is very helpful indeed. Find one that fits you exactly.
I like this option from MSI. It looks like a beautiful gaming machine, inside and out. Externally, you get a 17" screen and a programmable backlit keyboard (and it looks so nice!)
Internally you get:
-Intel Core i7 processor (2.2GHz)
-12GB SO-DIMM RAM
-750GB (7200RPM) hard drive
-NVIDIA GeForce GTX570M
-And you even get Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Lots of fun stuff, lots of power. Definitely a good possibility. I would also recommend Asus' Republic of Gamers line of gaming laptops. They are also highly rated and very powerful gaming machines. Good luck in your search!

Wow this looks like the perfect little travel companion, although it is slightly, barely over your budget. It's just the right size - 14". Just like a laptop, only thinner.
It is an LCD monitor and has 1366 X 768 resolution, which is quite good actually. Connects right to your USB port, and voila you're ready to go. Great for professionals on the go.

I think Apple makes the best looking display right now. Crystal clear images on all of their stuff. if you are open to Apple products I don't see how you could be disappointed with how their screens look. Absolutely beautiful.... mine is, at least :)

Well it's not cheap but this point and shoot from Canon will take some excellent low light shots. Reason is, it has a much larger sensor than most point and shoots you will find. It has a 10-megapixel High Sensitivity System and Canon's killer DIGIC 4 Image Processor. All this plus a Low Light scene mode for ISO settings up to 12,800 makes for surprisingly great low light shooting from a point and shoot. Basically dSLR quality stuff with point and shoot simplicity.
I think the s90 might be the best non dslr out there right now.

I like this option right here. Everything you asked for and more.
For under $1500 you're looking at: 240hz, 1080p full hd, 4 pairs of 3D glasses, a big 47" display that is 3D capable, even has Intelligent Sensor which automatically optimizes the picture to the lighting conditions in the room.
This will be a very nice TV set. It has a lot of raving reviews about it.... I think you will be more than happy with it.
|
|
|
|
|
I think this would be a really fun option for you, assuming you are open to a 3D gaming experience. It's also a great monitor for gaming even if you don't need the 3D aspect. It's been out for a while now is proven itself a great monitor, and has a bunch of good reviews to go along with it. Also has a 120Hz refresh rate...ideal for gaming.
Sorry it's a little under your preferred size, but it's tough to find a nice monitor for gaming in your budget at that size. So I propose taking a step down in size so you don't have to take a step down in quality.
|
|
|
|
|
I think this HP is the way to go... sorry it's a tiny bit over your price range! But it's a great monitor that features in plane switching and will be good for photoshop, as it will have incredibly vibrant colors and outstanding color accuracy.
It has 16.7M displayable colors, 1920 x 1200 resolution, and is just going to be a pleasure to do your editing on. Check it out!
|
|
|
|
|
I guess for movie watching you're going to want excellent picture quality above all else. This monitor will offer just that, with 1080p resolution and 12,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
Great price, too. I highly recommend it.
|
|
|
|
|
These are spectacular monitors, a bit on the expensive side though.
You mentioned resolution, and this thing offers 2560x1440 pixel res, which is very high. It has a pretty serious anti-glare coating which is nice for photo editing, although I've heard it can actually make small text appear slightly blurry.
These are widely used for photo editing and the like and will certainly give you accurate colors and a really clear image.

Tough choice, they are so similar! First I would like to say that either one would be a good purchase, but I am definitely leaning towards Logitech, for a few reasons.
The main reason being it seems you cannot do HD video chat on the Lifecam, only VGA quality. I am assuming you want it for video chat? So you probably want the HD option.
Also, the Logitech has the same Amazon rating (4.5 stars) as the Lifecam, but with far more reviews, which means it is a better judgement of its integrity.
And lastly I want to vouch for Logitech, especially in the category of inexpensive accessories like this. They have a way of making reliable and high quality stuff at a low price (like speakers, mice, keyboards, etc) and in general they are a great company to deal with.

AKG makes a great mic. This would be an excellent choice.

This isn't really a game but it is an awesome app. It's a GIF maker.... takes a bunch of pics in a row at a set shutter speed and then you pick the ones you like and it will turn them into an animated GIF. Pretty cool.

This should answer your question!
(The answer is yes, March 27th)
I like that game, too.

Don't know the budget you have in mind but these are a good reasonably priced option for you, coming in right around $100. Shure has been doing live sound for like 80 years, so they certainly know what they are doing.
They are clear, making them a little less obtrusive on stage. They block a little external sound, if you prefer an isolated sound experience.
Sound quality will be excellent, although they aren't the toughest monitors in the business, but you gotta fork out a little more dough if you want durability, too.
|
|
|
|
|
Gotta agree with Erin here! I would consider a budget headphone to be anything under $25, and I am surprised that you can even find Sennheisers like this at this price point. Even though it is made of cheaper materials (thus the low price), it has Sennheiser technology on the inside and is made by Sennheiser technicians, one of the world leaders in headphones and audio eqiupment. They won't sound like the high end models, but they would sell a crappy headphone... you can be assured they will be good.

Well I would have to suggest RE4 because these games are freaking awesome. I haven't played it on Wii to be honest, so I can't speak for the gameplay. But these are great games and I am sure you will be happy with the amount of zombies you get to destroy.

I would def recommend this one from LG. They make a great television!
It has 1080p full HD, sleek design, pretty thin. That Viera Rafael suggested looks like a solid choice, too.
|
|
|
|
|
I think this would work quite well for you! Definitely on the rugged side... it's shockproof, water proof, freeze proof, even takes 1080p hd video. 19 mp CMOS sensor.... CMOS sensors are usually a good way to go as they are a bit more forgiving than CCD.
These are good cameras, and obviously it from one of the world leaders in photography, so you'll be in god hands.

I think this is a good multi-purpose laptop for a college student, or anyone who needs a laptop for school, entertainment, mild gaming, etc. It's got some great specs on the inside (including an Intel i7 processer, 500 gb HD and 6gb DDR3) and is from a respectable company. This will definitely do anything they throw at you in college, and the price is unbeatable!

This is why I'm excited... I'm an old school fan. Parts 1 & 2 were so excellent that honestly I just want more of the same, not something too different. I was pumped to see that they are making the 3rd installment similar to the other two in terms of overall feel and spirit.
Sometimes as sequels come out they lose the charm of the original, as they try to take it in a whole new direction, and I'm just glad they didn't try to do that too much with this one.

Alright, these don't do active noise canceling.... sorry bout that. But they would be the ultimate travelling headphone if you ask me. They do a pretty great job at passive noise canceling, and even on a plane you will be able to hear your tunes quite well actually. They create like a seal and create a sound barrier.
They obviously extremely portable, being earbuds, and with Bose their reputation precedes them! (Sound quality will be second to none!) They even come with a little carry case.

To me it is between Eee Pad and iPad. I think Eee Pad is the only tablet that really compares to iPad in terms of over all usability. It actually has better specs than iPad in a lot of ways, and offers a fantastic tablet experience. I think it is the best Honeycomb Tablet available.
|
|
|
|

These are always gonna be a solid choice. Well made (physically) and they provide excellent sound quality, coming in and going out.
They have some nice features like an in-line amplifier for access to gaming audio controls, variable bass boost, and all around comfort. Right in your price range, too.

To answer your question, I don't know.... but it does look awesome.
Have you seen this thing? Looks so rad. Also looks like it would be easy to cool.

|
|
|
|
I think it depends on what you want to watch on it.
For sports and gaming, look for something with a high refresh rate... at least 120 Hz (or plasma)
For gaming you want something with a quick response time... like 2 ms if you can.
In general, the standard right now for picture quality is 1080p, so I would try to find something with that resolution. If you get an LCD screen (as opposed to Plasma) try to get one that is LED backlit, as it will be more energy efficient.
Beyond that, I would highly suggest going somewhere that you can look at a bunch of TV's side by side... that is the best way to really decide what you like, as far as I'm concerned.

I think this is the best camera deal under $500. Very high quality... add some new lenses down the road and you will be shooting pro style.
For optimal landscape/scenery shots you really want a good wide angle lens, but that costs extra dough. For now, the included lens here will suffice. Mostly it's up to you as the photographer to get those great shots.
This thing is great because it has a 12.2 MP CMOS sensor and Canon's DIGIC 4 Image Processor for high image quality and speed. It also has ISO 100 - 6400 for shooting from bright to dim light, in case you are shooting in less than perfect conditions.
For the highest quality photos you definitely want to go dslr, and this is probably your best bet for the price!

Eee Pad certainly compares hardware-wise. I think this is the best Android based tablet available right now.
Side by side, Eee Pad has better specs in a lot of categories:
-Display: Eee Pad has 1280 X 800 resolution on a 10.1" display, with 150 pixels/inch. Ipad has 1024 X 768 res on 9.7" with 132 pixels/inch.
-Processer: Eee Pad has an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core at 1.4 Ghz, while Ipad has Apple's A5 dual core with 1 Ghz
-RAM: Eee Pad has a 1 GB, Ipad has 512 MB
-Camera: Eee Pad has an 8 mp camera while iPad has .92 megapixels.
-Eee Pad also has an optional attachable keyboard, that can essentially turn it into a laptop (thus the "Transformer" title)
-Storage and other physical dimensions for the two tablets are about the same, except iPad has no SD slot, whereas Eee Pad does
All this being said, iPad does have some advantages to Eee Pad, namely the App store. It is currently way larger than Android's, and probably will be for a long time. Also, iPad is available with 3g, whereas Eee Pad is not.
Both are excellent tablets... I hope this comparison helps your shopping experience!

Yeah it totally depends on your playing style. I also like The Dunmer (Dark Elf) but all of them are pretty cool in their own way (except the The Imperials... they kind of suck!) But here's good profile of them all to help you make your decision

this seems like a good option and it's only $15!

This is the camera I suggest to people that want something easy to use that takes excellent photos. I figure with toddlers cruisin around you don't want to have to mess around with the camera too much... it would be nice to be able to grab the camera, and with one button have it ready to go, and snap the picture, right?!
Basically that is what you do with this camera. Just turn it on, make sure the knob is on "Auto" and start taking pictures. On this mode the camera recognizes the lighting conditions of the room you are in and adjusts by itself to get the ideal shots. So you don't have to fuss around with the camera, just focus on getting great shots of the litte ones!
|
|
|
|
|
This would be my vote. It can do anything!
With the right lens and technique it will allow you to seriously do just about anything you want.
With a 21.1-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor you can blow up your shots huge.
It's got the DIGIC 4 Image Processor
it's also designed for the outdoors, with environmental protection (humidity) and lens cleaning and stuff. amazing.
|
|
|
|
|
This would be another good one for you brightly lit room. The matte screen reduces glare in brighter rooms. It's a great LED-based LCD TV that can handle 1080p/24 sources. It also has built in wifi and lots of other features (look at the link for the deets!)

|
|
|

I think this would be the most popular one right now. Tons of owners and reviews, all around the web. What makes it so popular? I think it's a blend of price and performance. You can capture spectacular pictures on this thing, and the camera body is only $500. That's great for such a high performance camera.
Depending on who you ask, some people might say a Nikon is the most popular, and it certainly is between Nikon and Canon. Both are equally awesome. The main reason I think Canon is more popular is that you can put a Nikon lens on a Canon, but not a Canon lens on a Nikon, so you have more lens possibilities with Canon.

This seems like it would be a smart choice. I think any card under $50 could be considered cheap, and this is a pretty nice card. It will run Counter Strike pretty darn well for you.

Plasma is always a good choice when dealing with sports. The ridiculous 600Hz refresh rate makes plasma a popular choice among sports fans who want blurless viewing. This thing is gonna be pretty! The 60 inch one is easily in your price range. It has 1080p resolution and can view in 3D. Also is internet ready, but you need a wifi adapter to enable that feature.
So there is a review that says it has brightness fluctuations, but it's actually just an overly sensitive light sensor that some units have. A tiny piece of electrical tape will cover the sensor and fix the problem. The tv rocks though!
|
|
|
|
|
Wow this is a really big tv. Gaming will definitely be quite impressive on this thing. The Quattron is a 60 inch LCD screen with a 240Hz refresh rate. Gaming and sports will look so good with almost zero motion blur. It has 4 hdmi inputs, 1 pc input and 2 usb. Also has a good wide viewing angle of about 171 degrees, so you all and all your friends can see what you're doing.

Ha a camera that needs a suitcase... doesn't sound very fun to me. This Cyber Shot does, though! These are nice compact point and shoots. A high quality Carl Zeiss lens and Sony's excellent engineering come together to make for a very nice little camera. Definitely very portable.
It has a 26mm wide lens with 4x optical zoom, Image stabilization, and Intelligent Scene Recognition that will automatically optimize the camera settings for the best possible pics, depending on the environment you are in. It doesn't have a ton of extra features, but more importantly it takes clear, high quality pictures. Definitely a good choice under $100.

|
|
|
|
Ok so I don't know a ton about good gaming brands but I do know a little about internal specs and WOWY this is a monster. I don't think there is a game on this planet that it won't play the hell out of, but I could be wrong I guess. Here's what Amazon has to say about its technical deets:
3.4GHz Intel i7 2600K Processor with Liquid Cooling
16 GB 1333MHz DDR3 Memory
2TB Hard Drive
Nvidia N550 GTX-TI 1GB GDDR5 Video Card
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
Dang that should do the trick, eh?

|
|
|
|
Well, with these prerequisites I would have to suggest a Macbook Air. It's under $1000, extremely portable, has exceptional battery life, and it does have flash memory (no spinning hard drive).
Macs are pretty darn tough to begin with and have a nice warranty, too, should any problems arise. With a 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 dual-core processor, 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM, and 64GB flash storage you'll get some pretty nice performance, although I guess there are laptops with better specs out there (but hey, I like Macs a lot... I am sure someone will aggressively disagree!)
Should get like 6 or 7 hours of battery life, and I think the size is ideal for travel. It's small, but not annoyingly small (11.6-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor). All around an excellent travel companion if you ask me!

For that price it's certainly hard to beat the Fire. What a freakin deal. But I would have to say a Galaxy would also be an excellent choice for you. It's more expensive than the Fire but it can also do a lot more. The 7-inch widescreen display has 1,024-by-600 resolution... very nice display.
It's small and portable, at 0.76 pounds (lighter than Fire) and 10 millimeters thick. Unlike iPad, it has Adobe Flash player, for unrestricted web browsing. The Android 3.2 OS gives you access to over 250,000 apps, and Honeycomb is a wonderful OS to use. Its dual-core 1.2 GHz processor provides plenty of power and speed, and also it comes with a one-year warranty. It has front and rear facing cameras, and even has support for Microsoft Exchange. It's more expensive but offers a more comprehensive experience than Fire, so figure out exactly what you are looking for before you buy!

I have an iPad and watch movies in bed all the time. I love my iPad! I'm sure you will too.
You can easily watch Netflix or Hulu, along with pretty much anything on NBC, ABC, and other national stations (most of them have their own apps that enable you to watch their content for free, with limited commercial interruption.... I was just watching brand new episodes of The Office yesterday, in bed actually).
So there is no question that you will have access to plenty of content here. What else makes Ipad a great choice for watching movies? A few things: screen size is one. 9.7 inches is pretty large, and, although you may find slightly bigger ones out there, I think 9.7" is plenty. Any bigger and your portability starts to go down. Also, the resolution is very good...very clear images.
Next on the list would be sound quality. Now, while the speakers aren't spectacular, they are actually pretty dang loud and offer a pretty nice spectrum of sound (low to high). I usually have my volume set right in the middle, otherwise it's just way too loud. decent full sound, too. Not what I would call "tinny".
One more thing worth mentioning is ability to stand on its own. One great thing about buying an iPad is there are oodles of accessories to choose from, so you will be able to find a case that is to your liking and that will sit up by itself in bed.... this way you don't have to hold it the whole time.
You won't be disappointed with an iPad 2! At least I don't see how.

Well this is over your budget, but you said you could go over........
This is a fantastic card that will run SC 2 like a dream. I mean, Starcraft isn't super graphics intensive, so you could totally get away with less than this. But if you want DREAMY graphics this is the one for you. Very reasonably priced and ready to deliver.

Dude for under $100 go with these. Logitech is bomb! They're really cool.... they have surround sound, lots of different fit options (and swappable headband pads for and exact fit), on-ear audio controls for quick adjustments, USB connection, and of course the mic is included.
My buddy has a pair of these and they are very comfortable, and sound quality is very high. Also, because of the over ear design they do some passive noise-canceling.
I think Logitech is always a good way to go because they always have a solid product.

I really like how this TV looks. I used to work for this guy who had like 3 of these throughout his house (no kidding), all different sizes, but all with that "touch of color." It looks very cool.
The picture will look great, too. 1080p LCD, and a modest 22". I wish it had a higher refresh rate for ya, but you can't win 'em all, especially at lower price points. 60Hz will be fine for most viewing though. The image will at least be vibrant and give you some deep, rich colors.
it actually exceeds Energy Star ratings, and is also internet ready...a nice little perk.
Samsungs in general have amazing picture quality, and I think you will be sold on that alone, although this also should have some decent sound with SRS' TheaterSound going on.

The 59" version of this TV will come in around $2300, so it fits nicely into your budget.
This TV is ridiculous looking...in a good way. I think the specs on this thing speak for themselves, really. Spectacular stuff from Samsung here.
First of all, I want to mention refresh rate. For sports and gaming you'll want a pretty high refresh rate so there will be no motion blur. Plasma TV's are generally better for this than LCD because they work differently. See, with a plasma TV, pixels switch at 1 micro-second (many times faster than the fastest LCD response time) so it does not really produce the motion blur at all. It's got a 600Hz refresh rate... but with plasma this means something different than LCD, because these TV's work differently. Basically (and this is only my understanding of it) the screen is divided into 10 'sub-fields'. Each sub-field is refreshed at a 60 Hz rate, and since there are 10 sub-fields refreshed at 60 Hz, 10 x 60 = 600, thus the 600Hz number. A little confusing I know, but all that really matters is that Plasma is BOMB for eliminating motion blur!
This thing also has amazing specs all the way around. A huge screen, 25,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 1080p full HD with 4 HDMI inputs, 3D capable, beautiful design... all of these things will make for an exceptional gaming television.

I can't imagine a TV better suited for your needs than this Vizio. To begin with, Vizio is a wonderful company, at least they have been in my experience. I have one, my parents have one, and even my girlfriend's parents have one.... they are all different sizes and models and they all work equally well, and all with fantastic image quality.
Now, I will say I have not used this one in particular, but going by my great experience with Vizio and the fact that this TV has some impressive specs leads me to believe this will be an excellent (if not the MOST excellent) TV for your needs in your price range.
What exactly are your needs? Like other reviewers said, with gaming it's all about image quality and refresh rates. Screen size is also important, but bigger isn't necessarily better. You have to consider the size of the room you will be gaming in.... a huge TV in a small room is not going to be fun! It's going to hurt your neck and just be overwhelming. Your decision should be based on picture quality and refresh rates first.
Now, that being said, this Vizio has a pretty huge screen! So you're not really missing out on anything here. It has a refresh rate of 240Hz, which is definitely enough for some seriously fast paced games (with zero motion blur.... or at least zero noticeable motion blur). It is an LED-backlit LCD HDTV with full 1080p HD resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels. These are really good specs, especially considering the price and size. Vizio is good about making well priced TV's that don't perform or look like a budget TV.
It has plenty of connections for gaming (and everything else): 5 HDMI, 1 component, 1 composite, 1 PC, 1 RF, 1 Ethernet, 1 optical digital output, 1 audio output and 3 USB. You might also like that it is completely internet ready, and via its built in dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11n (or Ethernet) you can stream video, audio and news content from VIZIO Internet Apps.
Very cool TV, ever cooler price!

This is a seriously awesome dslr, all the way around. I think it will perform in every category, taking action shots as well as landscapes as well as low light. It's ready for any pictures you can imagine, you just gotta have the right lenses and know how. The 5100 has all the important features of the 7000 (like the same processor and sensor) without the bells and whistles.... less buttons and features you will probably never use. However, if you like the bells and whistles, the 7000 will also shoot low-light well because it's nearly identical to the 5100.
First of all...low-light shooting. ISO 3200 is apparently very usable with low noise. ISO is expandable to 25,600 on this thing! A great sensor and image processor make this possible. It has a 16.2 megapixel CMOS DX-format image sensor (same as the 7000) that captures 14-bit RAW images, and offers great low-light sensitivity.
Of course it also has some other cool features that have nothing to do with low light, such as HD video and a 921,000-dot Vari-angle LCD monitor. All very cool stuff. This camera takes amazing pictures all the way around!! There's no way you could be disappointed here.

My suggestion would be to go with this Panasonic... it even has pet mode! This is a decent little camera. Don't expect too too much at this price though...some people (for some weird reason) think they should expect crystal clear images in all environments, but that's just silly. You will get some very nice clear shots, but not in every situation. Cameras like this tend to have a tough time with low light situations (because the sensor is just too small, regardless of how high the ISO settings go!), but I think for pet pictures this thing will do the job nicely.
It has Optical Image Stabilizer and 4x zoom. It has ISO up to 1600 (6400 on high sensitivity) but like I said there's no way the camera will get good shots at 6400... I just won't believe it until I see it!
For pre-selected scene modes you can choose from Portrait, Soft Skin, Transform, Self-Portrait, Sports, Baby, Pet, High Sensitivity, High-speed Burst, and Photo Frame mode. Oh and it wil also record HD video.
For your purposes specifically, one awesome thing is its fast and accurate AF performance. You can quickly get moving subjects in focus, such as when you're shooting sports scenes or moving pets... it will auto focus as fast as .33 seconds. Pretty great for those ever-playing doggies. Also, The image-processing engine (Venus Engine IV) uses its advanced signal processing to give you beautiful images even with high sensitivity, and multi-task signal processing is used for all images to enable high-speed, high-performance shooting.
You will be able to take quick shots at a pretty high level.... perfect for pets!

Travel means durability and reliability. This will offer you both. Panasonic makes some awesome cameras at this price point. If we were talking higher price point I would probably be suggesting a Canon or a Nikon, but at this price range some of their equipment falls short some of the time.
packed inside this little guy is a Venus Engine FHD image processor, a 10.1-megapixel CCD sensor, and you also get a 3.8x F2.0 ultra-wide-angle 24mm Leica DC Vario-Summicron lens. All these things together make for a pretty awesome little travel-sized camera capable of capturing some great shots.

This is sort of tricky because I'm not sure if you want something with a lens or not, which definitely changes the price range, but I'm going to try to keep it all below $2000, lens included.
For this price you can get an excellent low-light shooter: the Canon EOS 60D.
When it comes to low light there are certain things that are very important to consider. Obviously in low light the trick is going to be getting enough light through the lens to get a decent image, and there are a couple ways to do this. One is to slow down the shutter speed so more light is allowed to pass through the lens... this in turn makes for blurry photos, as the lens will be open longer. Definitely not ideal, especially for catching anyone in motion at all. So the answer is of course higher ISO. ISO (which comes from the Greek word Isos, meaning 'equal') simply refers to how quickly the lens can absorb light. A higher ISO will yield sharper images in low light situations.
Unfortunately, there is a drawback. A higher ISO settings means your lens will pick up even very faint light signals, and we get into the problem of 'noise', which is basically any light signal your lens records that is not associated with the subject you are photographing. This will make the picture grainy, with those little white specs everywhere. That's called noise.
How do you deal with all this noise? That's where your image processor comes in. Luckily, this Canon has an excellent DIGIC 4 Image Processor that can handle very high ISO settings. This camera has a wide ISO range of ISO 100 - 6400 (expandable to 12800), for shooting from bright to dim light.
With the correct settings, you will be able to get some beautiful low light pics with this camera.
My only word of warning would be all those megapixels! Not that it's a bad thing, but 18 megapixels is a pretty large image, and you're going to need a lot of memory to store them all!
Great all around camera!

Not sure exactly what your cocktail shaker is made of, but I would think any good silver polish would do the trick.
This is a good polish that I use.

I think this is a good deal and a good size. 720p is still a very sharp picture, so don't let that discourage you. mY tv is 720 and I think the resolution is fantastic.

This is right in your price range and it's really a nice computer. I like Dells, personally.

I would get something with a nice big bright clear screen. Something like this, that will have some power and a big screen. Also look into a rebuilt macbook pro.

I would say check out this Asus. Great machine. Built for entertainment on a budget. Great for movies, gaming, etc. I think you would be very happy with this computer.

So much of our history was influenced directly by our presidents, so I feel like this a great place to start. History channel does a good job of presenting the material in an easy to digest, entertaining mannor. It makes learning pretty fun actually.
I will say this is probably not ideal for history buffs, as I'm sure there are some minor historical inaccuracies. Such is generally the case with cable shows, as they are more concerned with keeping the audience entertained than cramming knowledge down their throats. But it's definitely a good series and I think you wil enjoy it!

Gotta recommend Vostro. It's your basic computer with Windows 7, 250 gb hdd, and 2 gb memory... enough to do your basic business functions.
These are so reasonably priced, in case you need to purchase a few of them.
You should check out this website because there a bunch of different options available, like different monitor sizes or you can get just the tower... lots of other options, too.

You could try these Merrells. I'm sure they will be very nice, but they are also very expensive!

Wow you inspired me to do a little online reading on this topic, because I am a bit neurotic about what I put in my body, especially water. I think water should be pure, like it was meant to be.
I didn't realize there were so many different types of bottled water (spring, purified, artesian, etc.) and so many different factors involved. I mean, it's just water, right???? WRONG!
I think you would enjoy the stats and tables on this website:

This is a good inexpensive option for you. Amazon basics make some nice products, I've used their HDMI cables and flash drives and they all work really well.
For mac it requires OS 10.X or higher.
I like it because it works, and it is simple to use. What more could you ask for with a DVD writer? It's pretty quick, (8X) and is a very slim, sleek design. It also comes with Nero software, which is easy to use as well.
Amazon designed it well, to be a simple, inexpensive DVD writing tool.

I would say go with this one, which you've probably seen before. These are excellent little keyboards. I am typing on one right now in fact.
What I like about it: Easy to pair with iPad (seconds flat), extremely light and portable, nice key action, long battery life, apple specific key functions, nice key texture, and it's positioned at a good angle for typing.
What I don't like: ummmm well I guess it is a bit petit, which can be a bit annoying, but beyond that I can't really think of any.

I think this is the one you want. First of all, this is an excellent printer. High quality prints, easy to use. Good value for the money, in my opinion.
I think it's perfect for you because it will offer you beautiful CD label prints and has included software to do so, making it that much easier for you.

I would go with the 9800...it's an excellent card for video editing.
My only warning would be that it runs kinda hot.... I'm sure you have some decent fans for that though.

I love this machine! Literally takes 30 seconds to make sparkling water.
Setting it up is so easy, just attach the Co2 canister and add cold water...ready to go. They also sell different flavor syrups (which are delicious), and you can decide how much carbonation and flavor goes in.
As far as getting refills you can buy them at certain stores (you'll have to see if anyone deals them around you) or go online and have them delivered to your house. I like it!

This stuff is way over-priced and I only buy it occasionally for that reason, but man I have to say when I do have it, it's pretty awesome. I won't lie, it feels really good to scrub your face with this stuff. It is a bit like liquid sand.... it's finer than most scrubs I've used (not that I've used a ton, but I know what they're usually like) but rougher than normal soap. it is a very pleasant experience.... a little bit invigorating, actually. I really like how my skin feels after. Soft and clean. Pleasant scent, too. Definitely a nice product!

|
I'm saving up to buy one too, Abby...kind of like a Christmas gift to myself (is that allowed?).
These are awesome. Obviously its incredibly small size is a huge selling point. Very cool and portable in that way.
The main thing to point out is that there is no optical drive on the newer version... so you can either buy an external optical drive OR use Mini's CD/DVD sharing feature, which allows you to wirelessly 'borrow' from other computers with an optical drive. This adds to the portability factor, as you don't even need to carry the drive around with you if you don't want. It also knocked $100 off the price, which is fine with me. I think I could even find a perfectly capable external optical drive for under $100 if I wanted, no problem.
It only comes with 2GB RAM but of course it is expandable to 8.
It also comes with Lion.
I think it is a super cool computer that will make you very happy. The only thing I would think about is that optical drive... decide if you are okay with not having one.
Happy hunting.

This is the watch I wear right now. Very happy with it. I think it's a good looking watch... a little different than all those silver Invictus watches everyone has (nothing wrong with those...I just see them everywhere!)
This is very professional looking if you ask me. It goes very well with a suit, but also goes with a pair of jeans and a tee shirt. Nice all the way around. I highly recommend it!

I would suggest calling Sony and explaining your problem. I'm sure they deal with this stuff every day and can totally help you out!

I bought this one for myself a year or two ago mostly because the price was right for me and thought I could trust a Sony brand turntable. For the most part I really like it. It's great for what I intended it for: playing through some of my old records occasionally. The sound is actually pretty nice, and I had no problems playing any of my records. However, build quality is questionable at best. It is a bit delicate, built of lots of cheap plastic. That's why I only recommend it if you are just playing through some old records, not for heavy use. I don't think it could handle it!
Guess it depends on what you want to get out of it.

I think this looks like another good option for you. I don't have this thing, but it seems like it will work for you. It's compatible with Windows 7.

This is a great card, and for $63.99 it's a great deal. It will make Starcraft look sweeeeeet. Well, obviously your processor speed will also help determine how well it works for you, but yeah it's a good card.

I like this Canon paper! Any high gloss photo paper will look nice :)

These are pretty nice for casual use.... but it won't move enough air for serious heat, like if you are a serious gamer or something. But I just use it usually for watching movies in bed or the like. My laptop was starting to get a little too noticeably warm on my leg, so I opted to buy one of these.
Like I said, it works great for me, but it doesn't move a ton of air. I like the low power consumption and the fact that it runs on usb.
|
|
|
|
|
Well this one is pretty expensive but it definitely looks like a good one. Looks like if you are over 6' it might be a bit wobbly, as it will have to be fully extended to work, but 6' or less you should be fine.
It's adjustable from sitting to standing positions, and has nice tripod supports at the bottom. reminds me of the design of a music stand, and they always seem to be sturdy enough.
I mean look at how much fun the guy in the picture is having!

This is a great wireless adapter, and it works great with Aircrack, Aircrack ng-suite.
Definitely one of the best.... these alfa's have a nice range!

I would recommend this little guy - I don't own one, but it looks like a nice little projector. You have to get a kit to use it with your ipad, but it will work.
It is only 50 lumens (some projectors are up around 2000 or way more) but it's also LED lit, so it should give yo some good clarity. The max diagonal is only about 120 inches, but that is about what you should expect for a small portable projector such as this one.

I think any decently high quality inkjet photo printer will be just right for you. You want a photo quality printer because you want those cards that you spent so long on to look as nice as possible, right?
I don't know of any card-stock specific printers, but this will definitely do the trick for you. It will print both sides of the paper, too, and with very high quality resolution.
It's an expensive printer, and I'll be honest, the ink isn't cheap, and it might use a lot of it. Worth it if you are serious about your card quality.
|
|
|
|

Best for the money? I would have to say this evga would be right up your alley. It's not a high performance card by any means, but it will be perfect for things like WOW or the Sims. It's a good upgrade.

A serious gaming keyboard!
This thing will work for way more than just Starcraft, too. It has tons of programmable keys and is like two feet wide (watch out!) It looks awesome. Keys are silky to the touch. Great board!

Gotta get Wii party. Super fun. Has 70 mini games like tag and riding a roller coaster while you shoot targets! Heck yeah it's as fun as it sounds.

I would have to suggest this Acer in terms of overall value. These are pretty nice machines, and provided you're not doing any heavy gaming or anything, I think you will be happy with it. It's good for light use, like browsing the internet or word processing type stuff. I would also recommend looking into a tablet, depending on what your primary use will be.

I don't know how big your work load is, Harry, but this Brother unit will do some serious work for you. It prints, copies, scans , and faxes, all on its wireless network. I guess it does about 23 ppm, which is not outstanding but is generally enough for a home office type thing.
I like this option because it's a no hassle situation for you. Once you get it set up you won't have to mess around with it very much. It can hold a ton of paper, and is generally reviewed as not having many paper jams at all. No hassle for you when you are hard at work.
Should be super easy to set up and get going. Definitely worth a look!
|
|
|
|
|
I would recommend this wireless printer because I know it works well with Airport. It can print at a max. 9600 x 2400 color for amazing picture quality. It can do double sided prints, too (save some paper!).Of course it scans and copies, too.
One problem you will almost certainly encounter with this guy is that it really gulps down ink pretty quickly, so be ready to spend a bit on ink if you are printing in large quantities.

I would recommend something like this for you, sir. A good gaming monitor will have a high refresh rate and a quick response time (maybe 3ms or less). Also, an adjustable monitor would be nice, too, as you may need to re adjust your seating during long, intense gaming sessions!
This monitor has all of these things for you.
It has 1920 x 1080 resolution, wide screen, full HD. You can get up to 40% energy savings with the LED backlighting, too. The image is ridiculously crystal clear, and the whole setup is very attractive and streamlined.
This is definitely a good buy for you, provided you don't mind spending some serious cash on a monitor.

As far as I understand it, one isn't better than the other, they just employ different technologies that offer similar but inherently different viewing experiences.
Without getting into the actual technology that goes into making these things (because I don't really understand it that well myself), I can point out some surface level differences for you to consider.
Plasma screens generally have better black colors, because of the nature of the tv (higher contrast ratio), and also tend to track motion on the screen better. Plasma screens are also usually less expensive than LCD's. Some disadvantages of plasma screens is that they are susceptible to burned in images, and also they are affected by elevation believe it or not, and may not perform well at certain elevations!
The LCD screens may not have quite as vibrant colors as plasma screens (especially the black tones) but will not get burned in images (again, due to the nature of the tv... some technical stuff that I totally don't understand!). However, there is the possibility of of pixels actually burning OUT, which is bad. LCD's also have a cooler operating temp. than Plasma screens.
Like I said, I don't think one is necessarily better than the other.... just different.
Hope this helps at least a LITTLE bit!

This is what I have used in the past and I think it's the easiest/cheapest way to do it. The set comes with 2 hooks, so you can either hang your bike vertically on one hook or horizontally on two, spaced out across your ceiling.
Just make sure to put the hook in a stud, otherwise you may have a little catastrophe on your hands!

For slightly over your price point you can get this tasty little set up. This is a great system that is easily integrated with your flat screen or newest TV technology.
Panasonic makes pretty nice stuff.... you will get some crisp, clear audio with this thing.

Buy American! Go with a Ford Focus, or a Pontiac G6... those are both really nice cars, made right here in America. They are absolutely competitive in every way with foreign cars.
Our country is in serious need of any stimulus possible, and if everyone bought American cars it would be great for our country!

This is the one I have and I am more than satisfied with it. Dorcy lights are awesome! Very, very bright, and built tough as well. VERY bright! Not the longest run time (4-5 hours... that's decent) but man is it bright.
Excellent multi use light.

I don't own one personally but I am very interested in buying a tablet and have been doing some research...and for some reason I'm not interested in iPad. I wanted to try something different.
I have to say, Thrive just doesn't look like the best option, at least for me. Here's why:
A lot of reviewers have complained about the picture quality. It supports 720p, however many reviewers say it leaves something to be desired. Also, it doesn't download pdf files OR support netflix, which is a disappointment to me.
On the flip side it's reasonably priced, and adding storage can get you up to 80gb, which is awesome. It also has tons of inputs like hdmi, usb, sd.
Keep in mind, too, that this tablet is thicker and bulkier than iPad and other competition. This doesn't bother me personally, but for some it might be an issue.
Hope this helps a little bit.... wish I knew more about it... but that's all I got!

Well I bought this one last year and it worked well. I can't justify spending more than $20 on a knife that I'll really only use once or twice a year. It has slice up two turkeys successfully, and I imagine it will do many more without any problems!

This is probably the most impractical, most awesome gift I can think of. It's completely useless, except for having fun, nighttime adventures.
I have one myself, just for fun. it works really well! Just like you would think. The only annoying thing is that you only see the image in your right eye, which can be bad for your depth perception. But who cares... it's not like this is for tactical use, right? Just playing around.

It's HUUUUUUGE!!!!! This thing really is enormous - the picture is about accurate (it's not like they found a tiny model to make the thing look big!). It takes a few days of use to break it in. At first you may think 'this is not super comfortable' but as the insides adjust and loosen up a bit the thing becomes heavenly. a fantastic addition to my extra room!

Awesome practice goals!
Extremely portable...they just fold up into a goal!
They have metal rods that dig into the turf so the goal won't move around at all.
Orange material = high visibility.
These are the best I've found for portability and value.

I would highly suggest spending the entire day watching the first season of Prison Break. This show is awesome-especially the first season. You will want to watch the whole first season, one after another, until it's done.
Basically, a man is framed for murder and sentenced to death. His genius brother gets himself purposely incarcerated at the same prison in an attempt to break out with him (when I say genius, I don't mean it patronizingly, in the show he is super smart).
It's a very exciting and unusual premise for a TV show, and one of the best shows I have seen in the last ten years - no exaggeration. Gotta check it out!

This thing is barely bigger than a AA battery... it runs on one AAA. the light it puts out for only using one AAA is amazing! very bright, compact little light. I am very pleased with mine!
it's easy to take everywhere because it's so darn tiny... durable too.

This system works well for me. i don't like chopping either! But I like to eat fresh.
It slices anything that is crisp and fresh, like cucumber or apple. It will even do tomatoes as long as they are refrigerated, or at least a little stiff.
I think it is a handy tool, easier that getting out the cutting board and knife.
Easy to clean, too! As long as you rinse it right away.

This would be a great camera for your purposes. It does really well in low light situations, although close zooms in low light do get a little distorted.
It is perfect for DJing because of the wide angle lens captures a lot in smaller spaces, as I am sure you are faced with from time to time. Also, the image stabilization wil be a blessing with all the vibrations and craziness that is probably surrounding you at all times when you are DJing.
it's also 3D compatible.

I have to recommend this one, as it's the better of two that I own. There are a lot of wonderful things about it, and no draw backs that I can think of right now.
Here's what i like:
360 degree cardioid pick up pattern
usb interface
high quality recording, especially when price is considered
2 track recording
portable and easy to set up and use
easy to dump on my computer
I guess the one thing I can warn about is it picks up a lot of ambient sound.... I mean it gets everything. I would not recommend trying to hold it in your hand as you record because it will pick up little scratchy sounds from your hand.
But that's my only complaint: it picks up too much sound!
Great little unit, you will be satisfied for sure!

A digital toaster?!!!! The future is upon us, people. I actually own this space age toaster.... it's in my kitchen, and it has been effectively toasting my bread and bagels for about 4 months now.
Thus far I have been nothing but satisfied with the results!
I like the shape. It's long and thin, which works better for my kitchen than one of those bulkier, 4-wide toasters. It easily toasts 4 pieces of bread or two bagels, and toasts them all pretty evenly.
I do have to say the heat settings are a little silly, as anything 3 or higher tends to start to burn. Yeah - it's too powerful for its own good.
But this toaster is a little workhorse, and I am totally happy with it.

This here is a great camping/hunting/fishing knife. It's pretty big and it's sharp. I like that it has a straight AND a serrated edge. I also like that it comes with the magnesium fire starter so I feel a bit more like Bear Grilles. Very important to me :)

i wouldn't say it's fragile, but it's definitely a good idea to protect it a little extra because it is small and it gets very thin at the beveled end. I have this hard cover case for mine and i feel like it adds a nice extra layer of protection:

If you add a workout regimen to your daily routine you will be absolutely filled with energy all day, every day.
The endorphines released after a hard workout give you an amazing, almost addictive feeling. You will not only have more energy, but you will feel better about yourself in general.

I have to suggest this Audio Technica, as I think they make a fantastic product, especially for the price.
This is a solid record player. It won't burn out any time soon and it won't slow down.
I have this exact model and have nothing but good stuff to say about it. I can finally listen to my old records again!!!! Yay!!!
Sound quality is good. It's easy as pie to use. A great beginner turntable!
No 78 setting.

Are you playing on a real piano? Because if not try to find a keyboard with weighted keys that mimic the touch of a real piano. If you learn piano on a keyboard without weighted keys it may be difficult to adjust to a real keyboard, and that would be bad. Plus, weighted keys are easy to use and more enjoyable to play music on.

I know you've seen him on Comedy Central! Tosh.O is so funny and Tosh's stand up is to die for. He is so inconsiderate and rude in a completely hilarious way, you just HAVE to laugh!

I think this is a very handsome winter hat, and it is fairly warm too. The inside lining is soft and gentle and warm. The reason it's not suitable for REALLY cold weather is the ear flaps tend to not stay down very well. I mean, they cover your ear but they don't stay tight to them, so some heat escapes. looks great though, and it's well made.

I have to recommend buying a refurbished mac. That's what I did and i am so happy with it - everything I could have hoped for in a school computer. Obviously if you are into business or stuff like that you probably want a PC. otherwise, I think this is the perfect student laptop.
it's easy to navigate for people like me who aren't particularly computer savvy. super easy to use. I have never gotten a virus. i can use it in every class for my education degree.... it's not like there are any circumstances where I am saying,'i wish i had a pc.' it's always easy to connect to a wifi signal.
the only issue i ever have with it is sometimes my word documents aren't compatible with a pc, if i'm trying to use a flash drive to print on a pc.
other than that i absolutely love it and would never buy a pc :)

these are a cool product from skull candy that actually have little woofers (well, they are so small I don't know if you can really call them that!) built right in that are powered with AA's.
They add an impressive amount of bass, enough that could probably be dangerous to your hearing if overexposed.
Nice sound even and clear throughout and offer great comfort.
I think they are cool headphones!

In my opinion this is one hundred times more comfortable than any memory foam out there.
You are right...every mattress is the same so you gotta put something comfortable on top.
I used to sleep on a memory foam mattress topper, and it was ok, but after like a month is got kind of dirty and started to lose its structural integrity.
It was also really hot in the summer.
This pad entered my life about 6 months ago and has changed my life for the better.
It's like going to sleep on a cloud.
It's always fluffy and soft and never hot.
It's comparable to a down mattress pad, only it's softer and doesn't have any little pricklies.

Hmmmmmm I doubt you'd be able to find one for under $100 - unless there's some outlet I don't know about... I would say you need to triple your price point for an HP tablet...
I think the price shown here is about standard and the best you will get for a new one!

I would recommend this guy if you are in need of a production keyboard. Obviously it's not ideal for live music because it only has 61 keys, however it's amazing for studio stuff.
Motifs have a good reputation for their intuitive interface and great sound patches, so you certainly can't go wrong with one of these!
I have no idea what 'level' musician you are, so excuse me if i sound bold, but the motif is not what I would call a 'toy'. it's a pretty in-depth system that is designed for serious musicians, not for just playing around and making 'beats' (not that there's anything wrong with that, this just isn't the ideal keyboard for that type of use!)
Great keyboard, and highly recommended.

I would think this Sunday Bag is what you need?
I own this one and it's pretty good for the range and is excellent for travel.
Great compact design. Detachable rain cover, external pockets, and it weighs less than 2 pounds.
On the range it can be difficult to deal with this bag sometimes.... I feel as though I should be honest with you! It doesn't stand on its own too well - I mean it does but it takes a little finagling to get it just right so it feels sturdy enough.
I like it, and for the price it's pretty much unbeatable.

Hey man I use this planner and I no complaints, other than it's slightly larger size, although I don't mind that too much because it means more writing space for me... notes about what I need to do.
It's undated, which is perfect for this time of year, because you certainly don't want to commit to a 2011 calendar this late in the game!

I would definitely suggest a condenser microphone for your studio work. There are two basic categories for microphones: dynamic and condenser. Condensers are usually used for studio recordings because they have a greater frequency response and therefore in general record more accurately and will produce bigger, richer sounds than your average dynamic mic. A large diaphragm condenser is ideally what you want to get the richest vocal tones, however these can be expensive.
This is a reasonably priced large diaphragm microphone that will get you pretty nice results. It's no professional studio mic but it is decent, especially if you are new to the process.
Keep in mind Condenser mics do need an external power source, unlike dynamic mics, but usually it can be powered directly from your sound board.
I also wanted to add that this comes with a pop filter (to cover up the hard 's' and 't' sounds) and a shockmount to reduce vibrations... so that's pretty cool.
Have fun and good luck!

You should really try this stuff out! I have been using it for a month now and feel like brain is juiced up to where it was years ago! I feel like I'm giving my brain a much needed boost of life and energy when I take these, and can say I feel more focused at work.
I do have to say that with products like this it is difficult to give an accurate review because the user (me) WANTS the product to work... or else I wouldn't have bought it!
So I think there's a natural bias to begin with, but I also think I am in tune enough with my own body to know when something is or isn't working, and I think this stuff works. And I will definitely say it's worth a shot! Can't hurt!

This coat is way fashionable and honestly I used to feel like it was over the top when I wore it, but I got so many compliments on it that I absolutely love it now!
It's big and thick and warm and comfortable, it has a hood and the front zips...the buttons are just for show. It's wool too!!!
Warmest jacket ever because it's so long, it just sort of wraps you up and keeps you cozy no matter the elements you are facing!

Here is a great tool set for you to keep in your home. I have one and let me tell you it gets a lot of use. It's got almost every hand tool you could ever need to fix and repair all your general household problems.
Included in the set is a hammer, screwdrivers, a multitude of bits, hex keys, wrenches, wire cutters, pliers, drivers, I mean it's got everything! And best of all it all fits inside the accompanying bag.
A great handy tool to keep around the house for sure.

My parents bought themselves a Toyota Camry, manual transmission and, though I don't live with them or drive the car often, I can tell you it's and EXCELLENT vehicle and would be a perfect family of 4 car.
The manual transmission is so smooth and easy it basically drives itself. You don't even really have to think about it. The interior is surprisingly large for a sedan. Sitting in the back seat is never uncomfortable, and I'm about 6 feet tall.
Driving this car is an absolute pleasure. nothing gets in your way. Very smooth transmission and over all ride. Fantastic gas mileage.
The only, ONLY thing I have to complain about is the bumpers- they stick out a bit too far I guess because it's really easy to bump them! Every Camry you see on the road (including my parents) will have tons of bumps scrapes on the bumper!
I suggest getting the manual tranny like my parents. It is a real pleasure to drive and helps keep the cost down.

This is an interesting question because I've never seen anything quite like that. I like to run year round, and need something that can keep my feet dry and warm. Last year I used these through the winter time and they worked pretty well for me.... especially the keeping me dry part. They aren't wonderfully warm, but it's nothing that some wool socks can't fix.
They are quite waterproof actually, and work pretty well for the occasional splashes or moisture you find on a freshly plowed street, or what have you. Obviously some moisture will get in if higher up on the shoe.
As far as fit, they are very comfortable but a little on the narrow side. The tread is adequate for snow because it's a trail runner. It's a bit heavier than other trail runners I've used, but it's also a little more heavy duty, so I'm ok with it.
Over all it the best winter running shoe I've found, although I am hoping there's something out there that is specifically designed for winter running.

Works for me... doesn't grow new hair but strengthens what I've got. I use it like 4 times a week.... somewhere around every other day.
I have definitely noticed a healthier head of hair and feel like I may even see some new growth at some point because it's doing such a good job right now! Try it out... what do you have to lose?

This is basically just a large, soft shell lunchbox style cooler. I like it because it's light and easy to pack some beers or cokes in it and take it to the picnic.
One warning, it's not waterproof. So don't fill it with ice! Use ice packs for sure. I don't know why they use ice in the pic because that would be a stupid idea.

Burt's bees is spectacular stuff and it smells delicioso but you must use it correctly! All you have to do is make sure you run it in all the way! Very important, otherwise it will feel greasy. There is some jojoba oil in there, but if you really rub it in it all will absorb into your skin where it will no longer feel greasy, just moisturized.

as close to a real italian roast as i can find. i love the way this coffee tastes, with its super smooth after taste. it has a very full flavor but it's not too strong. in fact it's almost not strong enough for me, but I just use a little extra and it sort of balances out.
the flavor is so good, I highly recommend these beans. some of the tastiest I've come across.... and i love my coffee.
great for espresso and drip alike.
slightly different taste than you're probably used to. but you will get hooked like i have!

I've been wearing these for years and I still love 'em! I love that they're cotton. They do stretch out a bit after a day's use. That's the only problem I have with them. A quick laundry cycle and they'll be tight again!

The real product doesn't really look like the picture! It's smaller and less convincing. It works fantastically for me though.
Creates enough of a barrier to keep my golden in the back seat. She gets so excited in the car because she knows that she is going somewhere fun! She can't handle it, and tends to forget the rules sometimes.
This keeps her at bay. When it's not up she will try to get in the front seat with me periodically. This helps to remind her that it's off limits.
Easily jumped over though, in case you were wondering. I left her in the car alone one time with it up and of course she popped right over it.
As long as I'm in there with her, it works great!

I was using this hair loss prevention shampoo from kerastase that was REALLY expensive, and it just wasn't making that much of a difference, so I added this to my regimen and HOLY CRAP it is pretty amazing!
doesn't grow new hair... at least not since I've been using it for the past month.
but after the first application my hair felt waaaaay fuller.
I am not balding, but my hair is definitely slowly thinning and falling out, so this is a preventative action. works wonders. my hair doesn't fall out as fast and it's much fuller and healthier looking.
all you do is break off the top to one of the little canisters then disperse the concentrated liquid all over your head and comb through... i try to use more in problematic area like the top common blad spot. then style your hair and let it dry.
you will notice a difference! it's obvious that it works and I am excited to see if the results get even better!

Awesome jacket!!! This thing absolutely exceeded my expectations in terms of warmth and water resistance.
I bought it planning to use it as a transitional piece for fall and spring and as a middle layer in the cold cold winters. I found that it is almost too warm to wear as a transitional piece and almost holds up on its own in chilly, rainy conditions.
I'm talking almost down to single digits here, and I could still walk to the train stop 10 minutes away with this jacket and a long sleeve shirt underneath... coupled of course with a scarf and hat. Seriously warm jacket here.
I think it's heavier that the competitors similar products, such as a North Face Denali. I've had a North Face and this Columbia is totally warmer.
It also has a water resistant finish which works quite well and enables me to wear it as a shell in medium nasty weather.
This thing is awesome and certainly a dollar well spent. Highly recommended if you want serious warmth.

if he's the outdoors type or is doing physical labor whilst wearing the aviators, you should really look into these bad boys. I looked for a long time to find something like this that had the aviator style I wanted and could stay on my face well without any straps around my head.
these are awesome. i love them.
like I said, I'm into the aviator style sunglass, and I was happy to find something a little different than the usual top gun style I usually see. i like the reinforcing bar between the lenses, and I really like that they hook around my ears for a snug fit. oh yeah... they are snug on me, and I would say I have a medium sized head. probably not suitable for people with larger sized heads.... might get a little tight!

gunk works great for me. they say just spray it on, wait a minute, and spray it off. you can do that, and you will get decent results. but you will get waaaaaay better results if you actually scrub a little bit. get yourself a brush and gently work the foam to a lather as it sits there... might as well! beats sitting there watching it foam. you will get great results if you do this. rinse and repeat on any spots you missed.

EXCELLENT suit bag! Don't let the exceptionally low price trick you into thinking this bag is cheap, because it's fantastic.
It's made of thick and durable polyester and safely holds and transports my two suits everywhere I need to go. All you need as far as garment bags go.
When you arrive at your destination you will be pleased to see that your suit isn't even wrinkled at all... EVER!
A well made, simple garment bag.
I like how simple it looks and easy it is to carry around with me with the adjustable shoulder strap.
Wonderful bag. A+ in my book.

For my budget I had two options: buy an expensive hid kit and install it myself or buy a cheaper one and have someone else install it.
Well, having a very limited electrical background, I decided to go with the latter. Thank god. I would not have been able to wire these myself. There is some tricky wiring involved and you have to add 'balast' for extra voltage to get the power you need to run these suckers.
Way out of my league.
The guys installed it for under 75 bucks, and they work great.
WAY brighter than my stock bulbs were. I need that extra light for driving on empty country road to help me watch for deer. and they really work! super bright lights.
I know the oncoming traffic may not appreciate it, but I love the added safety the extra bright lights give me.
I would recommend them to a friend!

Absolutely fabulous tennis shoe. I've always liked Newbs because they are so darn comfortable, so I though I'd try them out on the court.
WOW.
I am impressed! They took they're commitment to comfort and added all around support and superior court gripping tread and VOILA! a fantastic tennis shoe.
I would recommend these for any level tennis player... they will make you feel nimble and agile... way more than ever before.... putting them on is the equivalent of years of ballet lessons!

ha ha i love that they call it a tactical hood. it's like a ninja hood! this thing is a pretty nice hood from UA. Full coverage, soft polyester. Only thing is it's definitely not warm enough to be used alone for super cold days. It's a good under layer for, say, a motorcycle helmet. Does block wind and keeps your head a little warmer though...definitely better than wearing noting.
Neck could be longer, too.
I wear mine for snowmobiling under my helmet. Works great. Very soft, comfortable, and keeps me warm!

These are awesome... they're made for walking around a pool in, but they're great for just about everything if you ask me. They are the perfect dorm room slide... great for bathroom trips and showers.
Also good for trips to the grocery store or hanging out at your buds house. Versatility, folks!
The soles are soft and comfy, too. I love these slides... you will too!

nice jacket. warm... almost a fall/winter jacket. it's all polyester and water resistant. great for fall and spring. the only thing i don't like is the pocket placement on the front. kind of useless pockets and they add unnecessary bulk to the jacket.

Mothers' products rock! all of them, they're all good. this will bring a beautiful shine back to your leather, I guarantee it!this company puts a lot of thought into their products.
this stuff will seal your leather and protect if from sun and general wear & tear. use it correctly - follow the directions. let it sit on there for a while before you wipe it all off!

I couldn't believe how nice this thing looks for being so cheap! What a deal, at least in the style department. Looks way more expensive than it is. As far as the whole magnet thing goes...... I bought it for that reason specifically, and I don't really notice any difference in my life. As far as it helping with injuries.... also can't say. Never had the chance to find out.
But I will say that it is a really nice piece, and you might as well buy something that is magnetic, in case it actually does help, even if it isn't even noticeable.

those pens don't work. this stuff does. if you have serious scratches, you're gonna need to take your car to a body shop. this stuff works amazingly well for minor scratching, water damage, oxidation, and general wear and tear that slowly scuffs up your exterior.
You basically apply and buff it until your arm hurts, until it has all worked its way into your paint. perfect application for pre - waxing situations. it will really even out the tones of your paint. great for an after winter shine up.

This is a pretty nice tux, although their claim that it was originally $1300 is obviously bogus, just a crazy sales pitch.
The tux is, however, pretty nice for $150. I kind of doubt that it is actually this super high quality wool that they claim it is, but hey if I spend 150 dollars and get a suit that fits well and looks nice, I'm happy.

I don't personally have AAA but my girlfriend does and oh man is it useful. I though she was going to get more use out of it than I because she's not so good with changing flats and that sort of thing. But, when I locker her keys in her car and they came and unlocked it I quickly realized it's also for idiots like me!
It's very useful for those sorts of situations and therefor I recommend it.
We also found it useful in planing a camping trip in northern Michigan. We were living in southwest michigan at the time. We went into the office and they had some camping guides and they also gave us some good suggestions for us.
I think AAA is a great option for you! They will definitely help you out, in all the ways you need it.

A rag and some cold water with a tiny bit of dish soap in it. Dish soap is designed to cut through food stains, so it's a good bet for most food related clean up like this. I definitely think it adds to the experience. I tend to get way more into it with a wheel, and I think it's easier to control a wheel. you learn how it feels and reacts more than than if you were just using a controller.
WAY more interactive and therefor more intriguing and exciting.
I just use the xbox 360 wireless wheel and it's awesome. well made, easy to use and set up. make sure you have carpeting or something for the pedals because they tent to slide a little bit. no other complaints, though. great wheel... you gotta have one if you're serious about racing!

This is a beautiful piece to add to any wardrobe. A great looking cardigan. We're getting up around the hundred dollar range here, but once you put it on and feel the material and how nicely cut it is, the hundred dollars will seem cheap!

If you're serious about it being lightweight, this is the one for you. You should certainly look into trail running shoes, because they are designed to be extremely lightweight yet supportive...which these are.
They offer enough support for me to run in, so walking and hiking is certainly no problem. I like how versatile they are, and that I they almost double as a pseudo-climbing shoe... or at least perform better on rock than a normal boot. The tight compact feel is ideal for the agile, spring-in-their-step hiker like myself.
Obviously you give up a little durability with a smaller design and thinner sole. But it's not like it just falls apart on you, either. You will get a lot of use out of these shoes.

This is a great way of tricking our friends into thinking you have a really nice scarf, when really it only cost 15 bucks. I was actually surprised right away by how soft and cashmere-y it felt. verrrrrry soft against my skin. that's the best part about it. you could fool almost anyone into thinking it was real. Watch out for pilling, though. it will leave some residue on your clothes.

I've tried this method before and it actually works: use a damp cloth and a little bit of plain toothpaste. Nothing with sparkles or flavor crystals or anything - just plain white toothpaste.
Put a little dab of paste on your cloth and pick a spot to start cleaning. In little circular motions, scrub like you're buffing the watch... which is essentially what you're doing. Do this all the way around (not on the glass obviously, and not on the twisty dial or anything that the paste may get into).
Then use a damp cloth or running water to rinse it, keeping in mind whether or not your watch is waterproof.
This should bring a very nice shine to your watch. It has worked for me in the past wonderfully. I would try it first on the inside of the band, to make sure it works properly for your watch with your toothpaste. Should work though!

I would buy one of those little trash bins for your car that straps on behind you chair or something. Or, I used to just leave a plastic bag in the back seat and attach it by stretching one handle around the middle console. That way, any trash I had went straight in there, and I could throw the whole bag away whenever it was full.
Besides that, I would say armorall wipes are they way to go.

I just want to say there are a lot of crappy backpacks out there that break very easily, so buy a brand that you know and trust. That's why I suggest North Face. They make great products all the way around.
I own this backpack and it's wonderful. Very durable material, comfortable straps, plenty of room inside, and all the usual compartments and whatnot.
Just buy a good brand or it's liable to break on you. I've had it happen and it sucks.

I encourage you to check out this Greenworks. It works as well as other cleaners and is better for the environment. Might as well try it. It also is biodegradable and uses no harsh chemicals so it's non-toxic. If you don't care about the environment, care about yourself. You are spraying this stuff in your home, sometimes in un-ventilated areas. Why would you want to be using stuff with all those harsh chemicals? Try it out, I think you will be impressed.

I had never even heard of this company before I got one of their tee's as a christmas present last year. These are awesome! I suggest you try one of these out before you waste your time with anything else.
It has this honeycomb material that is supposed to let air circulate over the surface of your skin. I wouldn't say I can tell exactly if this is happening or not, but I can tell you it does SOMETHING to keep me feeling cool, even on exhausting runs. It's very breathable (even though it's made of synthetic materials) and has like some air vent type things going on.
I suggest you try this out...there is no way you could be dissatisfied!

If you're not afraid of wearing pink jeans it sounds like you're a 'fashion forward' kind of guy, no? You should compliment those jeans with a fashion forward shoe. Something like this.... a leather fashion sneaker. Looks awesome, very high quality, slightly fashion forward but not over the top. I think these would look fantastic with your new jeans.

This is a nice vacuum with adequate 'suck' power, but it doesn't run as long as they say or as long as I'd like it to. I bought it for vacuuming my car, and it can't quite get through the whole thing. The parts it does clean look fantastic though. I ended up buying myself another battery so I could switch off, because it never got finished when I would have to recharge in the middle of use.
But I recommend it because it's a breeze to use and has great suction, especially considering its size and the fact that it's cordless.

I would say address it in a very light hearted mannor. Ask him where the frat party's at or tell him that jersey shore called and they want their outfits back!

These are the best dress sock around if you ask me. Pantherella's are the socks other socks want to be.
These are the only socks I've found that can actually stay up for a full day's work, no problem. They are awesome and I highly suggest them.

As long as your car is running you will be fine. When your car is on and the engine running, you will be drawing power from the alternator. But as soon as you turn off the car, the battery takes charge (no pun intended) and starts to drain. But you can power small devices all day long from your adaptor as long as you're moving.
Remember, it's not for minifridges or anything....just small devices ;)

I feel like I can always trust Dockers to make a high quality, well made article of clothing. They have tons of styles and colors to choose from. you should look into this, they will certainly have something that you will like.

This is pretty random, but I was in desperate need of a nice jacket for a 'business casual' interview. I got into town late and all the stores were about to close, so I ran into the nearest one, which happened to be a Forever 21. I was a little skeptical, but ended up finding a REALLY nice dark blue men's jacket, for UNDER $50. Unbelievable. It's by the brand "Forever 21". I never thought I would recommend something from that store (I always just assumed it was women's stuff for some reason) but this coat is very attractive and you should look into it.
I also got a nice pair of pants there to go with it. One of the best little suits i've ever owned.
|
|
|
|
|
I had a pair of wrinkle free pants and they did work to a point, but you still have to keep them hung up or folded nicely. They're more like wrinkle reducing pants. Like, if you leave them in a pile of clothes in the corner of your room for a week, they will certainly be wrinkly.
But, if you take care of them like you take care of normal pants, you will notice the difference. Especially during the wear. They won't wrinkle as much during the day like when you sit down and stuff. They're pretty good... I wouldn't spend a whole bunch on them, though, personally.

I think you could do it with a steamer if you have one. Lay it flat on a table, or pin it to the wall or something... a door. Steam it lightly and let it sit over night. Should do the trick.

I used to have to clean catering vans for my boss (yeah it was horrible - you can't even imagine how much food got on the carpet of this thing) but what I ended up doing was taking it to one of those self wash car washes and using one of those high pressure guns on them. it worked so well!
You can pre-rinse, soap, and final rinse. You will blast everything, and I mean everything, out those suckers. While you're their you can wash the car, too!

You know, I had flat feet when I was younger and tried a bunch of different arch supports but got no results. Finally some guy at a shoe store suggested trying a nice pair of heel supports. He said they correct flat feet better than arch supports by cupping the heel and basically twisting them outward a little bit. He said this was the root of the problem: a slightly in-turned ankle. He said that arch supports, while comfortable, wouldn't solve the problem but just alleviate the pain.
Well I will never forget that man because he totally changed my life! I swear my flat feet are now a problem of the past (this was like 10, 15 years ago). I don't even have flat feet anymore.... I like to think it's because of the heel supports but maybe I just grew out of it! Is that possible?
Try some.... here is the brand he recommended to me and they are amazing!

I like to look my best every day and I even have some suggestions for you that will enable you to look great every day with minimal effort at a minimal cost.
First, get one or two nice pairs of jeans... dark in color. dark blue or even black. Make sure it's a vibrant, rich color, not a boring bland one.
Next, go get yourself some simple tee shirts from Urban Outfitters or something similar.... just make sure they fit you well (not too baggy, as is a common mistake) and are a few different colors. Again, get vibrant, bold colors. They look more expensive and just better in general.
Also, while you're there, buy one or two stylish plaid shirts. Even ask the employees what they recommend. It's their job to help you make good fashion choices!
Now that you have some jeans and some nice shirts, get some flip flops. Now you can put on either pair of jeans with any shirt without even thinking about it and they will all match perfectly. You will look good all the time!

I think everyone should wear them and I don't know why people have these preconceived judgements about them. They're just another article of clothing. Who caes?
I vote yes for the deep V. Get me one or two...I'll wear them.

I think there is something very charming about the hats with the ball on top and the long ear cover sides. They're functional yet kind of playful... warm and fun. They even tie around you chin to keep you ice and warm and to keep it on your head even in the worst weather!

I'm similarly built and it sucks trying to find stuff! I like my cloths to fit right, too - not baggy but not super tight. I have pretty good luck at Macy's actually because they have tons of options. Someone suggested shopping online to me, which I haven't done but I bet you can get any size imaginable.

I like this thing and think it's a nice alternative to regular ratchet adapter simply because it gives ou superior leverage. In my old jeep the spark plugs were impossible to exchange because they were so solidly attached int here. This thing saved my butt and I was actually able to extract all the spark plugs FINALLY!

This is pretty good for what it is, and what IS is a small, cheap metal jack. I mean, it works and jacks up your car (though not very much and only small cars up to 1 ton), but basically it's just the bare minimum.
It will definitely work for your compact vehicles, and it's nice that it's so small and can fit just about anywhere.

I don't ever leave the house without also scraping all of the snow off my roof. It's sort of a pet peeve of mine.... having piles of snow on my roof that are always sliding down in front of my eyes at every freakin stop light! So annoying.
This thing makes ice scraping easy and brushing off your whole entire car easy. Extends up to 52"for the ultimate reach... all the way to the middle of your rooftop. Big brush makes it go very quickly, too.

These are pretty cool, mostly for their aesthetic value, but also for their low cost and overall effectiveness. Obviously at this super low price you're not getting something made of great materials, but they're ok and get the job done. The lenses are unfortunately made out of plastic. But, it is an optical grade plastic and is relatively scratch resistant.
The foam surrounding the lenses is very soft and provides a good seal... too good actually. There is not anti-fog technology on these goggles so they do get foggy. But they are not designed for strenuous use anyway, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem!
Some people think they make me look like I have bug eyes... but I think they look cool.

This was actually the deciding factor for me on what phone I should buy... that's how cool it is. I can't believe everyone doesn't have one of these! They recently released new software that has fixed most of the problems that previous owners were having, including adding a feature that lets you know whether or not your car has received your instructions and actually turned itself on.
It works for me about 85% of the time, which is fine because when it doesn't work I just try again and again until it tells me that it has activated. You can pretty much turn on your car from anywhere in the world... although I don't know why you would ever want to do this.
Capable of locking and unlocking your doors, starting your car, and can be used for multipla cars. This thing is awesome... if you have an iphone (and like 550 bucks to spare because you have to get it installed.....yikes) then you should get this. It's like the ultimate app for iPhone!

The Viper!!! Yes... this is a good remote, but a couple of things to remember: You're only getting the remote here, so check to see what other equipment you need to get it set up. You know - you can't just buy the remote and start using it! Some install required!
I have a viper and it works well but there are a couple of issues. First of all, battery life isn't very good. Buy some batteries, as you will be replacing them within 5-6 months. Also, the buttons are extremely sensitive! Don't keep it in your pocket or your car will probably start without you knowing. This is the one problem with all remote starters that you have to be aware of! Don't let it start and run all your gas out! I'm a keys-on-a-carabiner kind of guy, so I don't worry about that any more.
But these Vipers are awesome. Long range, nice looking remote.... I suggest it.

These 12" woofers are only for people that want their bass to sound EXCELLENT and their their music to sound BETTER THAN EVER. If that is you, you must buy these.
They're not for people that just want to have really loud, boomy, muddy bass surrounding them in the car. These are for people like me who want clear, tight bass sounds and are willing to sacrifice volume a little bit.
These are seriously some amazing subs... I like them because I also enjoy listening to jazz through my subwoofer, and boomy bowes certainly don't do the job. These are amazing, though, and you truly have to hear it to believe it! Pair this with a decent Alpine and your music will be on the next level!

If you're into the look as well as the sound of your woofer (like I am) you should look into these dual subs.... they are fantastic for the price. You're not gonna get monster bumping sounds out of them, so if that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. But you will get a lot of deep warm sounds... and trust me, these produce a lot of sound.
It's very convenient that they're already in a box (a really cool bow that is illuminated) and installation is very easy... although I would certainly recommend paying someone to do it for you if you're not familiar with these things.
There are two 12" woofers in there that are capable of a combined output of 1200 watts. They are housed in a computer tuned acoustic chamber that has carpet covering and plexiglass windows... ideal for anti vibration and durability.
i've had mine for over a year and am more than happy with them... and I LOVE the cool colors that it lights up in my car. badass.

This is a pretty cool hammock style back seat cover for any size dog, but not any sized car. It's really big, so if you try to stuff it in a compact car it will bunch in the middle. really designed for SUV's. It is made of nylon, so it;s ideal for those sharp nails, but smells like, well, nylon. I think we all know that smell all to well.
It attaches very easily to your head rests via bungee cords, and setting it up is a breeze. My dog doesn't mind hanging out on it, and I love that my upholstery still looks good!

I am a very happy owner of this B & D, although it's more of a jumpstarter and very light duty air compressor. But it does compress air, so I thought I'd suggest it!
It can jumpstart cars with absolutely no problem. I have jumped my own toyota camry and a friend's subaru forester and it worked just like it was supposed to. I will say, both times it had a full charge, so I don't know how effective it is if you've already used it to charge your laptop or iphone. It's really easy to recharge, just plug it into your standard outlet.
The compressor is only designed to inflate small things like bike tires and air mattresses... and for those things it works great... especially bike tires.
It has alligator clips attached, and is so easy to use.... might as well own one of these!
|
|
|
|
|
So far, this has been a top notch compressor/inflator for me. I read some reviews AFTER I bought the item that say it has reliability issues, and a short life span. Obviously I haven't experienced anything like this, or I wouldn't be recommending it.
Besides it being very loud, I think this is a great machine. It plugs into any 120v outlet to provide pumping power for just about any inflatable... comes with 3 different nozzles for such purposes. It has an eight foot air hose - a little shorter than I'd like... you'll need a long extension cord to do all four tires from one outlet, which seems a little silly to me.
But it's really easy to use, and the gauge is simple and easy to read.
You can blow up a standard car tire from 0 - 28 psi in around two minutes. Easy and super quick inflation for bikes and balls. Great little unit if you don't mind the noise!

This is of course a naked half helmet (no visor) but that's how I prefer 'em! I think this is a great little helmet, and I suggest it based on my positive experience with it so far. Everything except the straps. The straps are only moderately comfortable, and when I tighten them I get this long portion that hangs over on one side, left to flap in the wind. I end up having to tuck and tie it to make it work.
Very comfortable for my head in the lining, and pretty light as well. I like these half helmets because I feel like I'm more 'at one' with the road... more attached and present. Solidly built, meets or exceeds DOT.
Mine seems a bit large.... measure well and maybe order small?

|
Super light, super fancy, super durable and super comfortable. What else could you want? I think this is the prettiest helmet I've ever seen, no joke, and I get so many great compliments on it everyday. It really is beautiful.... looks even better in person. But aside from aesthetics, this thing actually has some other things going on for it as well. It has a real nice fit - very comfortable al the way around.
When I first bought it I was worried that it was gonna be too tight, but upon a few days ride it loosened enough to fit snuggly but not uncomfortably. It does have an ergo padding system with which you can optionally opt to remove and replace the foam for a custom, personalized feel. I didn't end up doing that because it fit me so nice after I wore it in, but it's an option.
The anti-noise cheek pads seem to work very well, and sound inside the hemet is definitely at a minimum.
It is very tough (although you wouldn't know it from the weight) and is made of a carbon, kevlar, and fiberglass mixture that can handle just about anything you throw at it.
I will say that there is one annoyance that I have with this thing, and that is that the chin strap is situated in a funky place, and sometimes rubs my throat a little in a bad way... but I seem to have gotten used to it because it doesn't really bother me any more.

If communication is what you are looking for, look no further. This is the perfect helmet for trips where you need to communicate with your fellow riders AND jam out to your favorite tunes. It does wireless calling and helmet to helmet calling via bluetooth technology, which means you can stream your songs right into your helmet.
It comes in a variety of like 5 colors and comes with a fully rechargeable battery.
The thing looks great, as you can see. It feels comfortable, too. It's kind of loud on the highway.... doesn't like really high speeds. Other than that, a great buy!
|
|
|
|
|
I originally bought this helmet for its ability to add on communication devices (which I did and it works great, by the way), but soon learned to love the helmet as a whole. I will say right off the bat that the visor is definitely not up to par, and actually feels like plastic. The rest of the helmet, however, feels very sturdy. It has lots of padding in there like you would find on a higher priced helmet, and strong chin straps that almost make up for the visor's lack of solidity.
The full face plate does rotate up or down, and there is also a pivoting chin bar which makes it a little easier to, well, pivot your chin.
Also has a nice ventilation system that brings a good amount of air right through the helmet across your head.
All in all, I would rate it like 8/10.
|
|
|
|
|
Cool and sporty, small and efficient, light and comfortable... all these things and more right here in this fabulous helmet. I love the design and I love how sleek and small it is...makes riding easier and more enjoyable. There is not a ton of padding compared to other helmets I've owned, but it seems to suffice. Also has a great ventilation system throughout for these hot summer months.
|
|
|
|
|
This helmet is amazing, especially aesthetically. Shamefully, that's why I bought it. Don't think less of me! So many helmets are so similar and comfortable, I decided to buy something more based on how it looks. Anyways, at this price range and a little common sense, you're ging to find a safe, reliable helmet. So you just gotta find something that looks good and feels right. Your helmet, like it or not, says something about your personality right away. But wow, I digress.
It's a full face helmet, so it offers maximum protection, but it's also fairly lightweight. Its extremely aerodynamic design reduces drag and dumps a lot of fresh, cool air into the helmet and out the rear 'exhaust' vents. Also has a built in sunscreen.

This is another great product from pioneer. I had it installed in my Jeep Liberty last fall and have had a great experience over all, with only a couple of complaints. It does just about everything... plug anything into it and it will play your ipod, mp3's, aac's, flash memory devices, etc.
The touchscreen is real clear and pretty, and just the right size... doesn't obstruct my view at all. It has a max power output of 50 watts X 4 speakers.... puts out some great sound.
The nav.portion of this unit is pretty easy to use, and I really like the detailed maps they include for you. What I don't like is that the nav system doesn't say street names out loud when it's directing you. It just says 'turn left here' which can be very confusing, especially in heavier traffic. But it always gets me where I need to go, eventually.
Also, the voice recognition kind of sucks, and it just doesn't always hear what I say correctly... have to repeat myself and stuff.
I like the unit, though, in general. Just these couple of complaints. great little screen and great sound quality.
|
|
|
|
|
If you are into straight up amazing sound quality Sony is the way to go. I always have great results with Sony products and recommend them to all my buds. This unit has a stunning 6.1" LCD touchscreen and is capable of playing mp3, ipod, cd, dvd, usb, am/fm, mpeg-4, everything. It also is ready for a rear view camera and SAT/HD radio, but doesn't include the hardware. Like I said though, the sound is the really great part about it.
On the downside, this particular interface seems to be quite slow when paired with your iPod and it must be some sort of internal Sony problem because mine is slow and I've read lot's of other similar complaints. It's not slow in every aspect, just the iPod stuff really. t also isn't the friendliest thing to navigate, so some time must be devoted to familiarizing yourself with it. Go for the sound quality... that's what counts!
|
|
|
|
|
This little thing is amazing... I have no idea how or why it works but it definitely makes your car smell good. almost instantaneously, too. And it doesn't just like cover up the bad air with another overwhelming smell... it actually seems to destroy the smell.
I read a review somewhere about this guy who was effected by it in a negative way... made his sinuses clog up or something, so be conscience of this when you use it, as it's possible you could experience similar side effects.
|

Nice sound, nice display, great versatility.... everything I want, but doesn't work for android phones. The bluetooth gets all messed up and you can't hear it, but on my iphone it sounds fine. This unit comes with bluetooth that is ready to go. All the usb, aux, and cd inputs you could ever need. Also has a very important feature that some people tend to overlook.... a dimmer for night time driving! This is a huge plus for me.... as is the over all aesthetic appeal of this receiver. Looks so cool!

I recently bought this as a little birthday present for myself. I would say I'm just about 100% satisfied with it. It can play just about anything from iPods to CD's to flash memory... just plug anything into it and it finds the music and plays it. How? I don't know, but I do know that it's awesome and I am really happy with it.
The menus are really easy to navigate, which happens to be one of my favorite things about this unit. There are so many similar products, it's nice to find one that does everything you want it to, but is also easy to operate.
The keys can light up in either green or red (user preference), too.
The sound that comes out of it is very high quality and sounds about 1000 X better than my stock deck. Mp3's sound pretty nice, too, which is kind of surprising.
All around awesome machine, you should buy one.

This is actually a pretty nice little receiver from pioneer, but I have to say of course you get what you pay for. All I mean by this is the receiver is good, but it's really basic and if you pay a little more you will get a lot more features.
What's nice is that you can not only play CD's and MP3's and WMA's, but it also has an auxiliary input on the front panel, so you can play your iPod as well. It does it all! I don't listen to a lot of radio, but what I have heard sounds loud and clear.
The price in unbeatable and the sound quality actually quite good. Pioneer in general makes a great product.
Here's my one little problem, although it may be no fault of the receiver's, could have have been installed wrong. Whenever I hit the brakes too hard, the unit turns off completely! I have to turn it back on and start over. What a bummer. It's almost like there is too much power or something being put into it when I apply the brakes, but for whatever reason this keeps happening! If anyone knows anything about this, I would love to hear about it!

Okay granted this isn't a scratch removal system, but more like a pre-scratch, early warning protection system. I just figure if you have a problem with scratches on your car, you should take every step possible to avoid getting more, as they are expensive and ugly.
This provides a nice little barrier between the elements and your paint (although it doesn't protect against shopping carts). It really makes your car sparkle, better than when you bought it.
You can wash away all the impurities on the paint, then seal in the fresh new look! It works amazingly well (as all mothers products do) and you have to see it for yourself to believe it!

Get ready to take your polishing to the next level with this super cool device. I am pretty ridiculous about keeping my car buffed and shiny, and when I came across this product, I just had to try it. It restores gloss to the crappy paint problem areas on your vehicle. This is awesome for older, vintage vehicles like mine.
Set comes with a variable speed polisher, 2 polishes, and buffing pads, or, as they call them, 'smart pads.' I mean this thing is powerful and will shine up the nastiest old paint or just bring shine to your newer stuff... it does it all and makes your life a lot easier.
Basically works just as you'd expect something like this to work.... add polish and start buffing and polishing!
I got great results out of this machine, and I confidently state that you will too.

|
|
|
|
If you want to get serious about polishing (the only way to bring out your car's true beauty) get this kit.... or some really strong arm muscles, cuz you're gonna be polishing for a loooong time! This is my experience, at least. Even with expensive, high quality products (like Mothers) I have to really polish hard to get the dark sheen I want. This gets pretty exhausting pretty quick, especially in the summer time when I'm more inclined to actually do it. So these guys really saved the day for me... and a lot of time.
You pick the appropriate ball or cone, attach them to pretty much any drill (I use my black and decker cordless) and now you have the power to work out all those deep seeded contaminants that dig into your paint.
The system works pretty well, but don't be surprised if some product gets tossed around a little bit by the fast spinning balls.... good idea to do it outside. It includes a high quality wax and a metal polish for your wheels. The cone included with he kit is intended to be used on the wheels, which is the only design flaw - it's pretty easily destructible, and after a couple uses my cone was all torn up. Other than that, this kit delivers and will definitely polish that car of yours!

This stuff is amazing for RV's and anything fiberglass. It's a three step process - oxidizer, wax, polish, and it will restore your fiberglass anything to almost its original shine. The oxidation remover is the real workhorse here. Even after only using the oxidizer, you will see a huge difference in your fiberglass... make sure you keep going and finish all three steps to protect that pretty shine!
I have to say, you are not going to want to continue with the other steps! Rubbing all that oxidizer on is a real long and involved process, and your results are directly related to how hard you rub.... so the harder the better.... but don't wear yourself out!
When the process is complete it brings a real deep, rich shine back to your vehicle.... a very nice cleaner.
Two words of advice before you start 1) shake oxidizer well and frequently, and 2) don't let the wax sit on your car very long, as it becomes quite difficult to remove.

having one of these in your trunk will certainly give you piece of mind when problems arise! My old Sentra had a really slow battery leak and sometimes straight up wouldn't start. I bought this because I was sick of being stranded and having to call people to come jump me.... it's embarrassing. It works pretty well... I've used it once on my car and once on a friends. Now, keep in mind I don't really use it for camping or anything, so I don't plus really anything into it (except very occasionally) and i would imagine if you used it to charge cell phones and stuff it would affect the jumping ability.
But it's really nice to know I have this in my car at all times. I try to keep it charged at all times, other wise it's completely useless. But this is pretty easy... it can even charge in my car via the cigarette lighter.
Don't buy it for the air compressor, though. It sucks.

If you're looking for something a little more rugged or thinking about taking heavier items with you, you ought to check out on of these. They are really nice because they keep all of your gear right about at waist level, instead of way up on your roof, so accessibility is greatly improved. Also, these racks are way more rugged than any roof rack you will find. They are really easy to install - just attach it to your trailer hitch and load up to 500 lbs on there! That is the meaning of heavy duty.
These are nice for long trips, too, because they take all that bulk and move it behind your vehicle, instead of creating all that drag on top.
The thing holds a lot, too, at 60" X 20" and 6" sides.
Upon acquiring this thing you will immediately notice how sturdy it feels with its powder coated steel construction and metal mesh bottom. It's a great little carrier.
I would definitely recommend buying a Thule waterproof bag or something similar for your waterproofing needs so you can get the most out of it!

This is the last GPS you'll ever need! That's almost a guarantee! It comes with lifetime free map AND trafic updates... so buy it this one time (there is no operating cost), take care of it, and it will last longer than the roads and infrastructure around you.
The lifetime map and traffic updates are really an amazing service. It allows you to download new maps periodically to keep up to date with the current roads and new road construction. It also comes with City Navigation (for the lower 48 and Hawaii) which is a very handy and in-depth tool for city driving assistance.
The screen itself is always easy to see, even in high sunlight conditions, and it's big enough to easily type on the annoying little touchscreen keyboard.
The spoken turn by turn directions can get really annoying, but you can easily turn the sound off, so it's no problem to me.
For what it's worth, I think Garmin just has a better, easier to use product than any other gps units I've seen. You should look at the reviews online as compared to other brands.... I think you will see that garmin in general gets higher ratings.

This is a radical looking screen thats perfect for showing off to your friends, and then in secret wishing you had a Garmin as well....
No that's mean. This is a very nice gps/audio interface. It looks real nice in your car, with that 7 inch touchscreen. It has 4 50w outputs for your listening pleasure, in addition to 3 sets of preamp outputs. So you can get some nice sound through this system. It also has an auxiliary input, usb port, SD card slot, DVD playback, iPod direct control, and hands free calling technology. There is no CD player connection, but who needs that in their car any more, anyways?
All in all this thing really delivers nice sound, nice look, and decent GPS abilities. But I only say decent for a reason. This thing is lacking some things that other navigation units wouldn't be caught dead without, and that make the overall experience slightly less enjoyable.
For example, when your exit comes up, it says "take exit" but doesn't say what exit number or even the street name! Also, you can't look at your recent searches, so if you turn it off and need to go to the same place, you have to re enter the entire address... pretty annoying. I know Garmins don't have these problems, so I don't know why they haven't put these features on this unit yet.... maybe someday.

DISCLAIMER! Ok this is not the one I wanted to suggest... but I couldn't post the link to the one I wanted to, so this is similar. The product i suggest is actually the Pioneer AVIC-F700BT. It's a touchscreen that's very similar to the pictured model. It's a great in dash AV receiver that can play your ipod, CD's and make hands free calls via bluetooth technologies. I connect it right to my iPhone to listen to pretty high quality music and make hands free calls... I love it!
The gps is great. It has 12 million preprogrammed points of interest for you to locate! The gps has some issues, like all gps units seem to. It only has maps for the United States, and has this really obnoxious speaking voice that yells out way too many commands, and is an even worse back seat driver than my girlfriend. Luckily you can turn off the sound. The gps doesn't always get going immediately and sometime gets lost or just flat out can't configure a route for us. But in general it gets me where I need to go pretty effectively and I'm better off now that I own it!

i like this receiver for its simplicity and functionality. it embodies everything i need in a receiver, and doesn't waste my time with things i don't. let me preface here by saying that this is a pretty simple machine, designed with power in mind over 'bells and whistles'. It produces a ton of sound with zero hassle.
It has 2 50W channels and is fully compatible with an ipod. It only offers you 5 sets of audio inputs and 2 sets of audio outs, so like I said it's pretty simple. It's pure, 2 channel sound at its finest! Not good for surround sound. Has individual controls for bass, treble, and balance.
Their concept is that a receiver is only as strong as it's power supply, so this thing comes with a monstrous power transformer built into it. It makes it bulky and heavy, but also powerful and strong! This is a great, simple machine for the sound savvy individual.

This is an awesome pack for the price! I use this for my casual and occasional backpacking needs. I'm not a super serious hiker but I do enjoy the outdoors very much and love hiking and camping. I go on about 2 - 3 overnight backpacking trips a year, and this has done me very well over the years. It's a pretty small pack inside and out, but it's perfect for my slight frame. Actually, it's quite small, at only 3400 cubic inches (or 55 liters) so it's really designed for shorter trips. It's really light when empty (4.5 lbs) and even comes with a built in rain fly.
The pack is covered in a multitude of of pockets, so you flashlight, knife, and first aid kit will all have a home!
These internal frame pack are really nice because they bring the weight in towards your body instead of away, increasing balance and overall effectiveness by narrowing the center of gravity.

I am writing this review as a satisfied customer, not a tech. savvy computer guy. I bought this so I could use the internet as I travel for recreational purposes, not for work or business or anything. But I am very happy with this computer, and it is perfect for my needs.
It's only 1.4" thin and weighs slightly less that 3 lbs. They say it can get over 8 hours of battery life, which is quite impressive... although I get more like 7. It comes with a windows 7 starter kit, which is all I need, personally. Like I said, I use it almost primarily for entertainment.... surfing the web and facebook and stuff.
For the rugged traveller, this thing has a 3D impact sensor that helps protect it against long falls, shocks and vibrations, which is great for travelling! It also has 3 usb ports and is energy star certified.
I love my toshiba, and I feel like it does everything I expected it to do. I don't know why some people expect it to work like a desktop or super-gaming computer, because it's not! It's for surfin the net, and at this it succeeds. Watch out for the customer service if anything fails, though! I have heard nothing but bad stories about their terrible customer service!

Although it only has 76 keys, this is a really nice piano from Yamaha. It looks way more expensive than it is, which is always a good thing! The semi weighted keys provide a pretty realistic touch, and it's extremely simple and easy to use. It has built in speakers and and Advanced Wave Stereo Sampler to recreate very realistic piano sounds at a pretty high quality.
The annoying thing is that there are very few voices to chose from. The more annoying thing is that it does not come with a power adapter (what????) OR a sustain pedal, yet it comes with a music rest. Seems like Yamaha needs to check their priorities.

Let's get this out of the way first... how does noise canceling work? The headphones actually produce a low frequency sound that is opposite of the sounds around you, effectively canceling out the sound waves. Crazy, I know! Technology is ana mazing thing. These phones actually drop the low freq. sounds by 15dB, which to the human ear cuts the outside noise in half.
These are nice because they are foldable and portable, nice and padded, and even have a kevlar reinforced cord. they require 2 AAA's for active noise canceling.
They do have one design flaw, though. See that big wand thing in the pic? That is the battery compartment, which unfortunately hangs on the headphone cord... AWKWARD! Honestly, it's kind of annoying sometimes and I wish it was part of the headphones, as opposed to hanging around on the cord.
They work quite nicely though, and have a great sound quality!

I decided to spoil myself and finally get one of these. It works great except for a couple of things. You can use pods or grounds and get a nice coffee, and I can get a beautiful crema... this is the most important part! Frothing has never been easier that with this machine.... the 15 bar pump helps a lot. Also has two separate thermostats for water and steam. My only complaints are that it's pretty hard to figure out how to use it, so really study that manual. It took me a while to get a coffe I was happy with, but now I'm very happy! My other complaint isn't as much of a complaint as it is a worry... I read a bunch of reviews AFTER i bought the thing that said it has crappy parts that break down and you have to keep ordering new ones. It's still pretty new to me, so I'm hoping none of these problems arise!

Wow I am so pleased with my Canon camcorder! I didn't even know they made camcorders like these until recently. I've used they're powershot cameras for years but finally got myself one of these and am so glad I did. It has an amazing picture quality, in true Canon fashion, using their 15X HD video lens with optical image stabilization. It records in 1920 X 1080 full stunning HD, and the stills are as clear as the video. Connects via HDMI to your home theater and has a 2.7" widescreen LCD screen.
The fact that it is flash memory is great for speed and efficiency.... It means you don't have to wait for moving parts to slow you down.
My favorite part about owning this camera is the ability to change the frame rate. This makes it possible to get that 'film look' you see in real movies. It really works and makes the whole viewing experience completely different!

|
|
|
|
I like this one cuz it matches my shirt ;)
Actually I like it for a lot of other reasons, including the fact that it's waterproof and you can get some awesome shots underwater!
Be aware up front that this is not HD, but it does shoot a real nice 640 X 480 res picture that looks great to me. It also can take 6 megapixel pictures, and can even take pics while you're filming at the touch of a button. It has 5X optical zoom, Image Stabilization technology, and a 2.5" LCD screen. The camera is very comfortable in my hand... I would go as far as to say its an 'ergo' camera.
You can usually get about 80 minutes of recording time per gig of memory, and you can purchase separately up to an 8 gig card, which I would definitely recommend. It a cheap way to drastically improve you memory capabilities.
Sharing your shots is very easy with this camera, as it actually compresses your files for you, making them 25% smaller than usual. It runs on a lithium ion battery that will most likely outlast you memory card, so no worries there.
The problem I have is that the zoom is pretty loud, and you can actually hear it on the video! This sucks. Very distracting, especially in concert halls and stuff.
i've read that it also has some inherent flip screen failures, and that a lot of the time it shorts itself out and if your warranty is up, you're just out of luck. I haven't experienced this yet..... so here's hoping!

For the cheapest one in its class, this thing shoots a mean video! You get 1280 X 720 HD video with this tiny thing, and stills up to 8 megapixels. Pretty nice. Also has 2X digital zoom and a removable and replaceable hard disk. This is a nice feature that you won't find on any flip... and there are more features, too!
It can connect to your TV/VCR/DVD to record stuff. It recharges via USB or the included AC adapter (if you own a mac be aware that only OS X 10.3 or higher will recognize the USB for some reason!). It has RCA outputs for direct play into your home theater.
The main concern with this camcorder isn't video quality, because in that regard it's surprisingly clear. The problems that come into play are because of the cheap material used. You get what you pay for! This thing is made almost entirely of plastic (not the mechanical parts, of course), and tends to deteriorate rather quickly, so take really good care of it! Be gentle! The joystick in particular tends to get weak and disabled rather quickly. it's just low quality materials!
One last thing.... as with all of these small devices, the sound quality is quite poor. keep that in mind and determine what you want to use this for.

Infused with tea tree oil and stimulating to the senses, this lotion was designed to yield the best possible foot massage. Based on the ideals of reflexology, this lotion stimulates blood flow in the foot with it's tea tree ingredients, which create a sort of tingling sensation that feels amazing! My mom used to give me foot massages and to this day it's my favorite type of massage. It relaxes my whole entire body, with the right masseuse, of course.

If you're a beginner don't waste your money on something you're not sure you're gonna get into. This is a nice beginners set... all the stuff you need, and none of the stuff you don't. Like a pot... I'm sure you already have a pot big enough to boil water and dip a can into, right?! which brings me to the next point: this kit comes with a device to easily pull those scalding hot jars out of the water without risk of burning. Comes with a nice little kitchen timer as well. This is all you need to turn those fruits into long lasting jelly filled fun.

All you do is add ingredients and the ice cream basically makes itself. This machine is so awesome, especially on hot summer days like today. It's fully automatic and double insulated. Works great for sorbet, ice cream and frozen yogurt. Seriously it's so easy to use, even has a wide ingredient spout to make it even easier. It makes a lot of ice cream at the touch of a button...what more coud you want?
Tip: keep the stainless steel bowl in the freezer before you use it, if you have room. this will give you a betterm consistency and generally helps in the process.

These are surprisingly comfortable for their enormous size. They're snake boots. They are designe to keep you from getting bitten... a genuine concern in some parts of the country. Look into these if there are going to be and nasty slitherin snakes where you go hunting.
They are made of goretex so you know they will be light and durable. They are designed to be worn all day on the trail... you could even hike in these bad boys.

I certainly wouldn't suggest this as a replacement for protein shakes or bars, but this is a nice way to add some protein to your diet without the calories. They taste pretty good and have 3 grams of protein per bar. Like I said, not a lot, but a nice supplement. Snack on it before during, and after workouts to add a little extra protein.

These are awesome in the city man! They fold up super easily and very compact (slightly bigger than the tires) and it even comes with a heavy duty nylon carrying bag for you. You can take it on the bus or the train or a cab. You can even take it on vacation when you go to Florida!
It comes equipped with 20" rims, 7 speeds, and a really low, stand over frame, so you can really crank if you need to.
These are obviously not designed for any hard core biking, but Schwinn makes a reliable product and you can be assured it will safely get you from A to B. You don't even really need a lock because you can take it just about anywhere!

This is such a cool idea, and a pretty good product, though I will say it's not perfect. It takes pictures and video underwater as you swim! Pretty awesome, and fairly easy to use. It runs on 3AAA batteries, and comes with 16 MB of memory built right into it. You can also buy an additional memory card to expand it to 2 gigs for ultimate recording time.
The images it takes are decent quality (depending on the clarity of the water) and it's good up to 15 ft so you can film some cool stuff.
The tempered glass lenses have cross hair on them to help guide you to get the right shot. It's completely hands free once you get it started, and with the memory that comes with it you can take 27 high res photos or 52 seconds of film.
My only problem is image quality. You need tones of sunlight to get a decent shot, and it's pretty much useless at deeper depths. Florida is the sunshine state, though, so who know what you'll be able to do!

man i've been using this for awhile now and am very happy with my results. As soon as I noticed a little thinning I decided to take action, because there is nothing scarier to me than going bald (no offense to any one out there who is bald!). My hair dresser suggested this to me, so I decided to try it out, mostly because it's so easy... just wash, condition, and then after treatment. Almost the same thing I would be doing with a normal shampoo.
Well, so far it has absolutely changed my hair for the better. I was just thinning a little before, and now it seems to have stopped. However, I have heard that this type of product doesn't actually restore hair or increase growth, more like it keeps it where it is and gives it the appearance of being fuller.
either way, I'm very happy with it and have definitely experienced positive results.

This is an awesome massager, but make sure you try it before you buy it, if at all possible. This is a full calf, ankle, and foot massager for the hard working person in need of some relief! It feels really amazing if you are the right shape and everything to fit in there comfortably. For me, it's great. It has the kneading balls and vibration, with different levels of intensity.
The fabric is easily removable and washable, for those of us with stinkier feet. I warn you about being the right shape and everything because if you don't feel comfortable with your legs in there, the massage won't feel good! it's designed to rub certain areas of the calf and ankle, and if, for example, it rubs on you ankle bone in a weird way, it will be a really crappy massage! test it out if you can.

Senco makes a great gun. This one is perfect for home use because it is slightly smaller and more compact than some professional models, but still delivers the same punch. The short body and magazine make it much easier to handle, and a little bit lighter, too.
One of the most useful features, as far as i'm concerned, is the sawtooth safety (at the tip of the gun). The sawtooth design makes toe-nailing so much easier. This is usally a hard thing to do with a nailgun, because you have to get just the right angle and not mess it up when you try to activate and pull the trigger. This provides some grip to really dig in.
Be care about double nailing!!! I know a guy who was up a ladder and accidentally double shot (the gun bounced a little) and his hand was too close to the gun. He shot right through his thumb and was attached to the wall! It's ok, though, he made a full recovery!

This is a great pen that I use exclusively! I don't ever think it's reasonable to spend a fortune on your pens, especially if you write a lot and go through a lot of them, like me. This pen is very affordable and works exceptionally well. The extra fine point makes your writing look very neat and precise, and the fact that the tip is so fine makes clumping somewhat of a non issue.
No fancy features, just a solid writing utensil.

I've always been a fan of the all weather glove. Where I live and golf it tends to be very wet all the time (that's how the game was intended to be played, being invented in Scotland and all...) and even when it's not wet, on a hot day my hands can get a little sweaty at times.
These are made of high performance microfiber and a quick drying mesh. They are very comfortable and great for any weather that is thrown our way.

I've just always been such a fan of bugs! He's so calm and collected most of the time, but when he looses it he goes crazy! What a timeless character that will never be forgotten.
This is a great collection, too, including Baseball Bugs and Bugs Bunny and the three bears.

Don't let your filing cabinet interfere with your trendy office space.... get this handsom piece of home office furniture! It's so surprisingly attractive for a filing cabinet. It's made of wood and has a dark wood grain finish. If you are also in the market for a desk and chair, you can buy a matching set of all three. Something to consider. This is nice furniture and the modern lines give it all a streamlined look. Check it out!

This is perfect for the casual work environment. It has all of the features of a formal white button up, but is slightly dressed down with the short sleeves. Two breast pockets and the textured plaid are elegant and sophisticated yet relaxed.
Calvin Klein makes one heck of a great product, so you can be assured that the quality is very high.

I like this style of floor fan because they are far more space conscious and way more attractive then any alternative. This particular model moves a lot of air, too. It oscillates and has three different speed settings, as well as a timer that you can set to turn itself off in 1 - 12 hours.
It also has a programmable thermostat for exact temperature settings, and comes with a remote control. The remote is sometimes hard to use, because it just doesn't transmit very well. But everything else is great and it keeps me cool in these hot summer months!

Wicker is such a nice look for a patio, and this stuff is actually durable. Durability is an obvious concern when looking at wicker, but these chairs are actually made of polyethylene resin wicker strands. What the heck does that mean? It means it's water proof and weather resistant, and will be sitting on your porch looking great for the next few years!
This set features sturdy, aluminum legs that are super easy to fold up and down. Minimal assembly required, really easy to set up, durable, and attractive. What more could you ask for?

This is really nice starter aquarium set with a quality 3 stage filtration system, so you know your fish are getting clean, healthy water. It contains almost everything you need to get going (except a fish and fun landscaping stuff) and is really easy to set up and operate. It's designed with the beginner in mind.
It's made of acrylic, not glass, which is good and bad. it's good because it's much lighter than glass, but bad because it's not quite as clear. It also comes with a fluorescent bulb, making it a more realistic underwater landscape with the potential of biological growth. My only problem with this aquarium is the small opening at the top. It can be difficult to get in there without taking the top off. Other than that, it's a great little aquarium!

Okay I'm not a yoga kind of guy at all... but this is actually a really amazing workout and feels good for your body and your mind. It's very strenuous but relaxing at the same time. this is more for lakes I guess but my brother has one in his pool and it's so fun and relaxing. It takes up 1/4 of his pool! This is a whole lotta nuts and a whole lotta goodness for your body. Almonds are great nuts to have around and a great way to keep nourished for long work days or long hikes. If you can only eat one thing for a while, it should be almonds. They have lots of protein and provide you with energy and sustenance. I love almonds and can eat them all day, every day. They are great for me because I have low blood sugar. When I start getting grouchy or tired i eat a couple handfuls of almonds and I 'm good to go!

Have you ever tried jerk BBQ? It's really spicy and hot, with a unique flavor of scallions and bonnet peppers. It's a pretty old style of BBQ from the south, and is a great alternative to the old traditional sauce. This isn't a sauce, though... it's a rub. Same idea though, just lather it on your meats!

This is the type of rod I learned on - the spincast reel. It's the type where you hold the button down, cast, and release to let the line fly. It has really smooth action thanks to the ball bearing system. It's only 6' which is very manageable for a beginner. This is a pretty nice pole, not just for a beginner. So if you really get into it, you can use this for a while.

I'm assuming that while you're there you are going to the Grand Canyon, so you should hike it! I was in AZ last year and my dad had given me this book. It was really helpful and obviously written by a serious hiker. It is definitely for experienced hikers and people serious about getting into some real long trails. Really good advice and safety tips for dealing with the super harsh arizona climate. If yo get a chance you should check out the North Rim. It's beautiful and way less touristy and developed than the south rim. Drink lot's of water!

This rocket is designed for 100% gravity defying awesomeness! It is designed purely to go really high up... and it does. The Wizard can fly up to 1600 feet up thanks to it's simple, sleek, lightweight design. This is really cool because it flies so high it's completely out of sight... but there is a downfall to flying rockets this high! They are really hard to find sometimes! If there is any wind or breeze, that rocket is gonna float down somewhere by Timbuktu. Just keep your eye on it!

I don't know how advanced your kite experience is, but this style is really cool and fast, although a little harder to control (though not any harder to launch). It is like a parachute, in that there is no stiff frame. It's just the material and 2 lines. The advantages are that it's extremely portable and can't really break. It has two lines... one for each hand, which really offers a nice feeling of control. This kite is designed to not collapse under its weight or wind, despite the obvious no-frame design.

This is so nice because you don't really have to touch anything AND you don't need any cleaning fluid. The sponge is pre soaked in some sort of bleach which activates when it gets wet (it's not wet when you put it on, though). This is a nice little starter set because you get the wand and 20 refills... and don't worry, the sponges stick on there really tight, so you don't have to worry about it falling off in the toilet bowl. Oh yeah - It's very important not to flush the sponge.. they weren't designed for that! you hav to throw it away... the only downfall. But i like it better than a brush because the part that scrubs the nasty toilet gets thrown away.. you don't just put it back in the cupboard!

I love my adidas for inside and outside ballin. Actually I use my old pair for outside and my new pair for inside, I like them that much. Why? Oh man this game is fun for ALL ages. I love this game! It's like scrabble without the board. You have to make words and connect them to other peoples words in like a crossword puzzle style. It's cool because anyone can get into it, and it's great for kids because it exercises their brains!

When I think of summers as a kid in my backyard i think Slip n Slide! These are so awesome, especially this model. You can race your friends to the finish line! And there's a cushioned landing pad... wow they've really thought of everything. I do remember one time there was a little pebble under my slip n slide one time that my dad missed... so that didn't feel very good, to say the least. Make sure to clear the runway really well before attempting to slide!

Girl Talk is the BEST for working out, dude. If you aren't familiar, he's a DJ who mashes together other peoples hit songs and remixes them with super cool, high energy beats. This has to be one of the best horror/cult classics of all time. You follow Ash, a hardware store clerk, (played by bruce campbell) in a crazy horrific adventure through some far off mideval land, where he accidentally raises an army of the dead and has to fight to save the good people of the kingdom. This movie is really ridiculous and darkly funny. It's the third movie of the Evil Dead series... a must see.

I used to wait tables at a fancy Italian restaurant, and the head chef was super excited when this knife came in. It is an all purpose chef's knife, and is as functional as it is beautiful. Using similar manufacturing techniques as ancient Japanese swords (I kid you not), this was just as much a 'show off to your friends' knife as it is a super functional knife. It's forged with layered Japanese steel and has a hand hammered finish. It is very comfortable in the grip, and is even dishwasher safe. This is a really expensive knife, but if you are serious about cooking, you gotta have a nice blade!

This book was really helpful to me when I was going through a lot of changes that were beyond my control. My mom gave it to me, and moms always know best! It takes the point of view of a mouse in a maze with an unlimited supply of cheese. He and his friend are perfectly content with their situation, and everyday just sit there and eat their cheese. However, one day they wake to realize they have slowly eaten every last morsel, and they are in desperate need for some more cheese! While one mouse decides he's gonna wait around for someone to give him more cheese, the other takes control of the situation and goes on a life changing hunt for more, eventually yielding the ultimate prize.....
This book is really charming and inspirational and full of hilarious (seriously really funny) puns and metaphors. You can read the whole book in an hour. Read this book! It's awesome!

You gotta try this thing. I actually just bought mine for a similar grilling experience, and am very pleased it. I have a favorite beach-side grilling local, but for the past few years I've been using a small cheapy charcoal grill. It was okay, but involved lots of extra hassle, like carrying charcoal and lighter fluid, then cleaning up after and waiting for the coals to cool and everything. Kind of a bummer. This little thing is exactly what I needed. It runs on propane (hardly any though, because it's so small!) and has 145 square inches of cooking surface - enough for about 8 chicken breasts or 8 burgers. It's really easy to set up right out of the box, and is easily portable, with its folding legs, carrying handle, and lightweight 18 lb. design. I would suggest finding a table or something solid to set it on. It took me a couple times to realize that it's not fun to grill on the ground - you almost have to sit on the ground to use it, unless it's on a table. Great product! Get one!

To me, the Sims games have always been some of the most fun and addicting games ever! I remember all the way back to Sim City... the first one! So many years ago! In case you are unfamiliar, in 'The Sims' you create and control people AND design the environments in which they interact, then control them as they try to succeed in their lives. You give them everything... their looks, profession, love life, design their house, interact with other people, and you also can taketh away! With the click of a button you can take away their wealth, health and beauty, destroying everything for which they worked so hard! Really fun game!!! The only downfall is that there isn't really any super hard objective or point to the game... you just kind of exist in this fake world. But this does mean you can do anything you want.......

I'm a hangy down dispenser kind of guy. This is a beautiful stainless steel industrial looking paper towel dispenser that is really easy to reload and looks fantastic in the modern kitchen!

I never thought I would be passionate about any kitchen item, but since I bought this toaster I have fallen in love! It comes in a variety of colors (mine is green) and looks like it's from the future. People are always asking me what it is (because I keep it up high and you can't see the slots) and I always say it's a stereo system.

If you have a big enough room you should try this out (I play with tiger woods pga tour) it's really fun! It's weighted and feels pretty realistic. i'm no golf pro but I like to hit the green every now and then for some relax time.... this is a good way to stay in shape when you can't make the links!

This is a really attractive day planner. It's leather and zips closed. It's also refillable, so waste is minimal!

This game is fun for all ages. All you do is swim around and explore! It's awesome...there are different animals and environments, and it's not so much a game as a relaxing exploration time. I recommend it for anyone with a Wii and a big TV, which you need to get the full effect.

Oh man you need a jet boil! These are amazing personal camping stoves. I don't go anywhere without one! I actually got stuck on a backpacking trip without water for a night and had to take water out of a lake and boil it in this thing so I could drink it...luckily it boils water in minutes flat so it wasn't a big deal!

Yeah I live in an apartment in the city and can't have a grill, and I miss that grill taste so much! This is a pretty nice little unit that my parents bought me. Again, it wont be the same as the real deal (cuz there's no flame!) but at least you can get some grill marks! Fairly easy to clean... dishwasher safe.

Husqvarna is the best, despite they're crazy name. These are great tools to have around the house for general purpose cutting. Be careful and wear goggles!

This is a nice mild roast from Nicaraguan beans and New Jersey roasters! My buddy got me into this coffee, and I've stuck with it because I like the flavor and the ideals of the business. They have non blended (single origin) fair trade beans for a reasonable price. Also, apparently Nicaragua-grown beans have a lower acidity content than those of other central American countries.

I like stainless steel in my kitchen because I don't have a lot of cupboard space, so I can leave this out on the counter and it still looks nice.

Adidas makes a great table tennis table. This one is designed to be used outside, but I wouldn't leave it in the rain or anything. Easy to fold, move, and store.

Go with stainless! It will outlast your utensils.

You gotta get an apple tv! It's the future of television, as far as I'm concerned. You buy this little unit and it's just the one time price of about $100. To watch unlimited television shows, all you need is a monthly subscription to netflix (like $9/month), and wireless internet, which you are probably already paying for. Imagine instantly watching all your favorite show with no commercials! The only drawback is you don't get live tv, but this is usually offered as an internet bundle.

Man this jacket is radical! I got it last Christmas and use it all the time. I like it when style meets functionality!

This is a nice product for general kitchen and tile grout cleaning. I bought it when I moved into my apartment and had to scrub away years and years of prior tenants dirty feet. I guess no one noticed the slow build up of filth in between. Gross. It works really well and is non-abrasive. I did have to switch brushes because the one it came with eventually wore down.

This is an absolutely beautiful bag. I don't know what level of fanciness you're looking for but this one is really fancy and stylish. Fits a 16 inch laptop, has a bunch of compartments. Only drawback is that there is no handle on the bag, just the strap. It doesn't bother me, but you might be different!

I would think this keyboard would work fantastically for your set up, as long as you have some connection between your computer and TV (probly HDMI?) This keyboard is really nice and super comfortable for my hands.

Throwing this disc was a completely different experience for me compared to a non groove disc. This design bring the weight slightly in towards the middle, enabling a lighter weight disc that goes forever. Equally effective for arm or side arm. I love my Champion groove!

Yamaha makes great musical instruments of all kinds, and their drum sets are no exception. This might be a little more than you had in mind, but cheap drum sets all kind of sound the same... like banging on a plastic tub. And when the hours of practice start happening, you definitely want pretty tones coming out of the instrument!

I would think a Macbook Pro would handle DJing very well. I'm not actually a DJ but I am a huge music enthusiast. I am also a Mac enthusiast because they are so great for music and musicians. A regular macbook might not get the job done, though, so definitely go for the Pro!

This is a really nice all purpose climbing shoe that you can wear all day. It's designed to do just about everything, nothing specific. Lots of shoes are designed for specific climbing techniques, like edging or climbing cracks, but you don't want that when you start out. Five ten is a trusted name in rock climbing!

Dude I too am marathon training (hopefully I can run in one this fall...) and some one recommended these to me, so I ended up buying this pair, this size. They remind me of an Asics shoe, and are very similar. I like the mesh material... it keeps my feet at a reasonable temp for all 26 miles. Actually it's only like 10 right now :)

I suggest this package for anyone interested in learning guitar. Ibanez makes a very high quality and respected professional axe, so why not buy a beginning guitar from them! These beginner packs are nice because they have everything you need to start playing right away. Advice: get at least a couple lessons right away! You don't want to learn any improper techniques or anything that will hinder you later.

This thing is really cool and has a pool attached. However, although the pic shows a bunch of kids on it, they recommend that only one kid at a time use the slide!

This system is awesome! I think it's exactly what you need. The 5.25 inch woofers are powerful but not overbearing, and the Polk woofer cones offer little to no low frequency distortion. The 1 inch dome tweeters are made of silk/polymer, and (check this out!) they are actually cooled by a liquid cooling system, ensuring crystal clear high frequency sounds.

Can't go wrong with jansport. I had them all through high school and college. They are cool looking and functional.

These are suuuuuper difficult at first but once you get used to them it seriously transforms your whole upper body. I can't recommend these highly enough, for real. There are also workouts online you can do to really push yourself. You can do tons of different workout on these things - not just pushups!

My wife and I treated ourselves to this tent for christmas last year and we're very happy with it! It fits two comfortably and is a breeze to set up. It even has a vestibule and ventilation so you can cook in there! (we haven't tried that yet, so be careful!)

I like to use anything teflon... it's the best non-stick coating if you ask me. Magma makes a pretty nice product

You should go all out and buy this thing. I would be freaking out if I got all these legos when I was 12! Imagine the possibilities......

This is a really nice piano for around 1000 bucks. It's a full keyboard with 88 weighted keys, so you get that almost real touch. It's really lightweight, and I'm able to take it anywhere I go with ease. Kurzweil just has some really impressive piano sounds and synths. Connects via USB for easy compatibility with any music software.

This has got to be the sweetest computer ever made. It's like a mix between the bat mobile and a space station. Alienware makes the fastest, sickest gaming computers ever... but they are also good for everyday use. This one comes with Microsoft Window 7 Home already installed, a 1 Terabyte hard drive, a CD/DVD burner, and 6 gigabytes installed RAM. Plus, it looks ridiculously cool, right? This computer will make you feel like you live in the future!

I always recommend Canon! Always have, always will. Their cameras are designed to take incredibly high quality photos while maintaining an easy to use system. This lens has a very high zoom ratio for a general purpose lens, and has image stabilization to ensure no shakiness. I get a lot of use out of this camera!

Yamaha makes every model with the professional musician in mind. This intermediate horn has the features you would expect on a pro model, like super quick key response and great intonation from top to bottom, at a price an intermediate can handle! This is an awesome horn with a very warm sound, an is surprisingly durable considering its lightweight. I would recommend this to the intermediate-turning-pro any day!

Obviously this isn't your traditional hammock, but when looking for an 'Office Hammock' I am assuming your available space is minimal. Add a little Brazilian zest with this beautiful, ornate, space saving hammock! It's super comfortable and has a capacity of 250 lbs. I would, however, recommend trying it before buying it, as it's not quite as long as the more traditional style hammocks.

The Smith and Wesson model 317 kit gun is a perfect starter gun for anyone, especially a woman who might want something very lightweight and small. The term 'kit gun' refers to a gun that is small enough to carry in your 'kit' (bag, backpack, etc.), so it's designed to be easily concealed and transported. The 3" barrel and 12.5 oz weight make it ideal for anyone with a smaller frame, and someone looking for recreational use or self defense. Regardless of which brand you choose, I would recommend starting with a revolver. They are easy to use and look slightly more rugged than their similar counterparts.
