I usually find simplicity is the best option... this coffee maker has a real simple design that will be easy to use and effective. Not too fancy, just a solid coffee maker.
It features 24-hour programmability and a 12 cup carafe.
|
|
|
|
|
So yeah there are cheaper ones out there, but they get such horrible reviews I couldn't make myself recommend one to you! Go with something that you know is going to work well.
This is a good option. It's not terribly cheap but also not terribly expensive. Nice red color, pretty small (.9 cubic feet). 900 watts should be plenty of power for you. Has 10 power levels and plenty of cook options and features. I think it is definitely a solid buy!
|
|
|
|
|
Perfect for you, Pam! Under $50, cuts strip-style. Also can cut through CDs and credit cards and stuff, although it is best used for light duty paper shredding, as should be expected at this price point.

I would suggest this Steel Series. These are nice for gaming and certainly have an ambidextrous design.
It's gonna be precise and comfy.
It's also very customizable, right down to things like you can upload your own bitmap picture, and there is even a customizable LCD display on it. Don't worry it's not just all aesthetics, it's actually good for gameplay too!

Hey Cody. HP generally has very reasonable ink prices, both color and black. The thing to remember though is that no matter what brand you go with, photo printers tend to eat a lot of ink, especially models like this that do high resolution prints.

LG makes a great TV set, so I would suggest this one to you. For movie watching I guess you need great image quality and plenty of connections...this has both. 120 Hz LCD screen with 1080p resolution. It has HDMI and USB connections and also is internet ready so you can watch movies and stuff on Netflix or other online sources.
|
|
|
|
|
I don't think you'll find anything better necessarily, but you can find other products that are equally as good. This one from NEC would be my recommendation. This is a great company and this is a fabulous monitor. Extremely high resolution and color accuracy, for any of your color-demanding projects.
|
|
|
|
|
This would certainly be one of your best options, especially in the more affordable price ranges. Just under $500, this monitor from Asus gives you professional features and a very bright and vibrant screen. Actually some may think the screen is a little on the bright side in general, due to its intense backlighting, but reasonably deep black are still achieved.
The 'PA' stands for Pro Art, and this is Asus' model for photo and other editing. It has P-IPS panel with about 98% adobe RGB coverage and has a true resolution of 1920x1200...basically color accuracy is very good on this monitor. It also pivots, to be viewed vertically, which can give you a bunch of extra room to work with, depending on your picture orientation.
It is designed for photography, and designed well. Should be great for you!

When you say headset do you mean like a gaming headset? If so, these would be cool to give her. It's got a flexible boom mic with noise canceling technology. Delivers high quality audio. They're going to be really light yet provide a lot of sound. The fact that they are lightweight is really nice if she'll be wearing them for extended periods of time. It's surprising that a set this smal has 40mm drivers in there, but they do. This will really give it kick!
|
|
|
|
|
Well you won't really find great active noise canceling at this price, so you'll probably have to rely on passive noise canceling. What I mean by that is the actual build of the headphone blocks the sound, not technology. Earbuds do a pretty good job at passive noise canceling, as do larger ear cups like this. If you're doing editing you really need crisp, clear audio and tight bass. These should deliver!

What type of games are we talking about here?
|
|
|
|
|
This is an incredible camera for under $500... amazing that you can even get this nice of a camera for such a great price. It's a Canon dSLR, so finding a great zoom lens will be no problem... tons of options.
It's fast as heck, Steve. Quick autofocus, quick processing (DIGIC 4), very fast shutter speeds. And it can shoot 3.7 frames per second... also very cool.
|
|
|
|
|
I think this one would be perfect for you. It has a PC input, it's in your price range and movies will look excellent on it. 1080p and 120Hz refresh rate... sports and video games will look great, too.
It's pretty big and it's made by a reputable company.
This is a great TV and a great deal. Pick one up while it's still available.
|
|
|
|
|
This is far below your price point, but it is an excellent reading tool. I mean it is designed to access millions of books, magazines and other media from the internet. I like the smallish 7" screen because it's book sized and therefor extremely portable.
If all you really want to do is read then save your money and go with a Fire!
|
|
|
|
|
I agree with Robert. Great for video. Shoots full HD at frame rates of 30, 24 or 25 frames per second with full exposure control and has digital zoom. It has one of the most advanced dslr video systems available, and actually gives you some pro-like features (like HD Movie Zoom) and some in-camera control of what you are filming. Your videos are saved as .MOV and can be viewed immediately on your TV via HDMI. It also has the Video Snapshot feature, which takes short video clips of various lengths and them combines them into a montage. Lots of video features on an already very capable camera gives you a lot of possibilities!
|
|
|
|
|
This is an excellent all around camera. To me, it is the perfect combination of very high picture quality and very easy learning curve. It's a little expensive, but your kids are only young once and you don't want to miss a thing.
It is not a dslr, but it shoots like one. You just don't have to think quite as hard. It does all the work for you... all you have to do is set it to Auto and it will analyze our shooting conditions and set itself up for the perfect shot. Of course later when you are more comfortable with it you can mess around with the 24 different shooting modes, for a more custom shooting experience.
It also has some nice things like image stabilization, 20x zoom, and it can record video as well.
Oh and if you want to be in the picture, too, you can always set the timer countdown and hop into the shot.
Excellent camera, very easy to use, check it out.

Pretty sure you would need an American social security number and a mailing address in the US to get a USD credit card.

For you media center needs, this box got some excellent reviews. Honestly, I don't know a ton about the whole "Media Center" thing, but if you do this might be perfect, as it allows you to build yourself a custom media center to your specifications. You will have to build it yourself, and I don't know how you feel about that! But apparently it's a pretty easy box to work on.
But it has an Optical S/PDIF and Audio I/O Jacks for your audio needs, as well as a Serial port, an HDMI port, a DVI port, and an RJ45 LAN port. It will also support Intel Core i7 / i5 / i3 series Processors, which would be my choice. I think this will work for you and your needs.
Wish I knew more about this, but I hope this helps a little.

Keep in mind that at this price point durability and picture quality won't be top notch, but Kodak's Easy Share offers some great features that make it certainly worth considering. It shoots at 10 MP, has 3X optical zoom, and a 2.5" LCD. It also has the 'easy share' part, in which you can upload your pics to facebook, twitter, or flickr with the push of a button. Just makes life a little easier.
Face detection, blur reduction, VGA video capable.... even has up to ISO 1600 for an attempt at low light shots....although I don't think it will shoot low light very well.
The fact that it takes SD cards is pretty awesome, as you will be able to fit a ton of pics on there.
The main thing with this camera is ease of use. It's super simple from start to finish, and assuming you have some decent lighting conditions you will be able to get some pretty pics.
Just don't expect too much in terms of build quality, as it's going to be made of plastic!
But hey, for the price, can't complain, right?

This is a very well done documentary about a very dark time in our nation's history. Man it's crazy what people have to go through. We are all so spoiled these days!
|
|
|
|
|
This is the one I have and I highly suggest it!!! It's perfect for going to work in the city, as it not only blocks rain but also other people's umbrellas! And of course it's clear so you can always see where you are going as you are comfortably nestled in your umbrella, away from the elements. This thing is awesome, and aside form it being slightly fragile it's all I could ever ask for in an umbrella!

I've found that this is the best wintertime lip protection for me. Hydrates my lips really well and oh boy it feels so nice when it's all cold out!

This is a great multi function printer for PC (not sure if it works for macs). It does everything (scanning, printing, copying) and does it fast. Very fast, actually. It's versatile and once you get it set up it's very easy to use. I had a friend help me with set up because I am not very good at that sort of thing! But she is and she had it going in no time. She also set it up so I can print wirelessly from anywhere in my home! Cool.
Scanning is on par with anything else I've seen.
One last thing to mention is ink cost - as far as I can tell it is very reasonably priced. A black cartidge is about $15 on Amazon...pretty reasonable.

Ha ha I think this guy is so cute! He dances around to Frosty the Snowman and it is pretty adorable.

|
I think you should definitely buy a brand that you know with this sort of thing, otherwise you might be buying something with no warranty or terrible support or something.
I think that LG looks like a good option, as does this Samsung. I consider under $40 a great price for a DVD burner/optical drive. Definitely worth the money!
|
|
|
|
|
Well if you want to adhere directly to the wall you should use these. However, I think the poster frame is a better idea because it protects the poster while keeping it flat and also won't stick to your wall.

|
I would say go with the Ultrabook. I mean it sounds pretty serious, right?! ULTRA.
But yeah it's of the very portable variety of laptop. Smal, light, and they claim it will get up to 8 hours batt. life but that's always a gross over-exaggeration.
It's got a full aluminum shell, so it should take the beating of the road no problem.
I thin kit would be perfect for , except that it's $50 over budget. Worth considering though for sure!
|

I want this one so bad... it's absolutely stunning. It's more than a tapestry...it's literally a work of art!
|
|
|
|
|
This has been a great screen for me! I like how easy it is to set up... like two minutes. The stand is sturdy and it's not too wobbly. Also, it folds up pretty small so it is easy to take around with me. It's not for widescreen stuff, though, jsyk.
|
|
|
|
|
I think this is an amazing deal...I didn't even realize I could get one this cheap!
Because of your question I might even buy one for myself! Granted, this is only 8 gigs, but I have been using an ipod shuffle so this would be a huge upgrade. I don't mind switching songs out on it now and again. So easy. Great deal!
|
|
|
|
|
Well I have a 3M screen for my iphone and it's great, so I would assume they make a good one for ipads as well. It really works, too. You can pretty much only see the screen from directly infront of it. Cool stuff.... I would look into it!
|
|
|
|
|
I agree with a lot of reviews that it smells a little funky, but it's not terrible or anything, and it works really well so i can deal with the scent. I put so much crap in my hair anyways so it totally gets covered up.
Yeah just spray it in, comb through (any powdery substance will work its way in) and you will have non-greasy hair! A fresh slate for the day.
Beats the hell out of washing my hair every day...but obviously don't get in the habit of using it for multiple days in a row or it will get pretty nasty:)

You tried under edit>Auto Flip New Photos?
Because when I do that it flips the image on the pic and the filmstrip below. Maybe it only works on new pics?

Look for brand names, too. If you see a name you recognize, that's probably a good thing. There are a lot of impostors out there! Also if it seems too good to be true it probably is. Bargain shopping is not really going to happen. If you are looking for a cashmere, you are looking to buy a really nice piece of clothing, so don't skimp!
|
|
|

|
For under $10 you can actually get a fabulous product. I have been using this for a couple years now because I LOVE IT, not because it's cheap. Makes my skin shine!
It just sort of even out all my skin tones...lightens dark spots.
However, I can't suggest it if you have oily skin, because it's a little on the greasy side. But for me it works great. Very good product.
|
|
|
|
|
I think it depends on what you want to get out of it, but this might be a good choice for you. JSYK, I do not own this projector, so I am not speaking from personal experience, but rather from a little bit of research online. It seems to have a very clear picture, but only if you are in a dark room. So, if you plan on using it in the basement or nighttime to watch movies, this will do the trick, and it's well worth the low price tag. however, if you need it for business presentations, this would be a bad choice, as the lumen output just is not high enough.

Any space on the walls around your desk? If you have a small desk you should try moving your organizer off the desk. This will mount on the wall and provide a nice little space to organize all your papers. I think it's worth a shot, I might actually do this, too! I like this idea.

I think this pillow is really beautiful, and when I need new throw pillows I'm gonna splurge and get some of these. Also check out the pillows pictured underneath. They're really beautiful designs!

This is an excellent card reader that I use with my imac, so compatibility won't be a problem.
Very quick to set up and get going.
Great price, reads almost any card.
You will probably need to do a firmware update right away, jsyk. At least, I did.

Ball bearing is definitely the way to go! Smooth, smooth action=quiet and efficiant fan.
|
|
|
|
|
Heres a good one for you... 2 fans are better than one, right?!
Although I don't really understand why the fans are removable.... I don't see why this is beneficial to the design..... but it looks like a real nice little unit.

I would imagine you could grow avocado? That would be amazing! Avocado is totally my favorite food like ever!

Check out this contraption... I think this would be fun for summer drinks (I know it's winter time) or anything fruit-infused. Pretty cool!

I would say one or two oil filled electric radiators would do the job, depending on the size of the room. It also depends on how well insulated your sunroom is.
For example, my Aunt in Lansing, Michigan has a sunroom that is pretty small...maybe 10 X 10 or so and I know she heats it with one oil filled unit. She can use the sunroom almost year round, except for super chilly nights, and it's pretty comfortable. Make sure all the seals between the windows are completely sealed! Get some caulking and do a little touchup work if you have to. Any draftiness will totally suck the warm air out of that room.

Do you want to rent a car or try to buy one for under $1000? It will definitely be tough to buy a car for long journeys for under $1000!
|
|
|
|
|
This is a good question! I would say the only thing you can do is go into it with the right mindset...with the intent of having fun and getting along with everyone! Just be a positive influence and it will help you and your family. That's all I can really suggest!
|
|
|
|
|
I think Michael is right in that you shouldn't get it professionally cleaned if you can avoid it.... spot treatment is probably best. rubbing alcohol would probably be good, so would a non-chlorine and dye-free dish soap. Any solution you use should probably be diluted pretty well so as not to hurt the fibers of the rug. I would also recommend using a soft cloth and warm (not hot) water.
|
|

This one seems a little expensive, but it might just work for you. Wake up to soothing nature sounds and a soothing aroma... or you can play your own music through the external jack. You can also use it on the reverse side.... to help you and your baby relax after a long day. Aromatherapy is very relaxing, and you can choose from different scents. It also lights up gently.
The thing that really looks lame about this product is that the nature sound loops apparently repeat every 5 or so seconds... seriously? How annoying would that be? If this is something you can't deal with (and I don't blame you) I would suggest going to Sharper Image and looking around. I'm sure they will have something that fits the bill.

Whoa these shoes are hard to find! Here's a site that has them for $25... but it looks like they may only have it in one size.... I'll keep looking!

I always like to suggest Sony products because I feel like there is no way you wil be disappointed... they are always high quality and reliable.
I don't own this particular Blu Ray player, but I do own other Sony audio and visual products and they all perform flawlessly.
This will give you 1080p playback, which as good as it gets right now. It's also wifi internet ready, so be ready to stream some netflix!

This is a very powerful little machine that is ideal for business needs. Its operating system (HP webOS 3.0) kicks ass! Nice multi tasking abilities, super easy to navigate.
It's very fast, too, and the display is beautifully clear. It's so easy to use, which I think is a huge plus for business situations. You want to be fast and efficient. This tablet is both.
It has a max. 32 gb memory and also boasts a 1.ghz qualcomm snapdragon dual-core processor. Niiiiiicccccce.
The one drawback? HP apps SUCK and there are few to choose from....at least as of now.
I think overall you will be very happy with this tablet.

I don't own an ipad and therefor also don't own this keyboard, but this is what I see people using all the time and so I thought I would recommended it! This is what I would buy if I had an iPad. I love that's it's wireless - -only takes 2 AA's. I also love they way it looks....very thin and sleek like all Apple products. It's gonna be a little smaller than your average keyboard, so maybe it's not the best choice if you have particularly large hands.... I don't know your hand size situation ;)
It's an Apple product, just like your iPad, so they will definitely be super compatible with each other and easy to set up.... another nice feature!

This is a really adorable top... if you're into this sort of thing!

I prefer these chain locks because I think they are easier to actually lock up the bike with. They are heavier and more cumbersome to carry around than, say, a ulock. But they offer more flexibility, too. They also look a lot tougher... to me at least.
Like Sean said, any determined thief will be able to saw right through it, so try to lock it up in an area with great visibility if you can.. this is a slight deterrent at least!

I can only speak from my personal experience, Isabel, but this is the TV I own and it's great. I like the size - although you might want something bigger (you will be able to find the same TV in a larger size for under $500).
I have had no quality problems whatsoever, and since it's LCD (and not plasma) the screen will be more reliable, although not quite as sharp.
My one complaint with this TV is sound quality from the built in speakers. There seems to be no in-between volume. The speaking parts are always way too quiet, and then if there's an explosion or something it's WAY too loud. Oh well...run it through your home theater system and you will be fine.
You may also want to look into TCL TV's. This company offers 2 year warranties, while Vizio only offers a one year.
|
|
|
|
|
I think that really depends on your starting destination! Then I could help you find somewhere awesome to go from there! But I would definitely need a place of origin.
For under $2000 I would recommend looking into some sort of outdoor adventure, as big cities are VERY expensive to hang out in!

Here is a comparison chart for lots of different CPAP machines, including reviews and statistics like price, decible level, warranty, etc.
I think it's impossible to say what the best one is, because each one is good for some people and not for others, depending on your specific circumstances.
Check out the chart, and you can match your price point to the one that best suits your needs.

I'm a big fan of TiVo! You can record up to 45 hours of your favorite shows, in full HD. There is a $20/month service fee, and the TiVo itself will run you a couple hundred. The TiVo box replaces your cable box.
If you are willing to pay the price, I think you will be very happy with the service. I know I am!

Maybe you should try something like this. Being able to wrap up around it looks pretty darn comfortable and cozy. I would think this thing would anyone sleep better! It's huge!
|
|
|
|
|
Here is another great product for you to consider.
When I was trying to decide which one of many similar products was right for me, I had to ask myself what exactly I wanted to get out of it, besides the obvious teach-to-sleep aspect (you set the "OK to Wake" time and it turns from yellow to green).
When I saw this one it was obvious that this was the right one, because not only does it teach to sleep, it teaches to tell time. Also, it is functional as a regular alarm clock, for when your child has grown out of this phase.
It just seems like the best overall value to me.

You should try this this winter. It may help reduce some of your SAD symptoms. The warm glow on your face can be very comforting, and will give you a little color, too.
You can actually plug it into your car and use it on your way to work!

Pureology is the best of the best. Your shampooing experience will be phenomenal from start to finish. From the pleasant scent to the tingly scalp to the high lather.... amazing. I actually look forward to washing my hair because of this shampoo. Oh yeah... and it works well too! Hydrates my hair and preserves color.

This is an awesome microwave in ALMOST every single way. It's powerful (1300w) big (family sized) and is easy to use.
The thing that makes me say 'almost' is that the display is nearly impossible to read unless you are directly at eye level with it, which is pretty annoying. BUt I can look passed that because in every other way, it rocks.

If you hav big boobs you gotta try an Enell!
This is the best sports bra I have used, well worth the price if you ask me. It holds everything in place with little to no movement. I can run and play tennis without hardly any movement. it's pretty much amazing. AND the thing is actually comfortable. no wires sticking into your side or anything.
highly recommended - the best of the best.

This wheel will get the job done. It sure does for me, anyways.
it's not terribly high quality, but good enough for the once a month that I actually have to cut a pizza.
Only thing is you can't put too much downward pressure on it or it could snap. It is a little delicate.

A super solid table and chair combo!! Solid solid solid.
That's why I switched to cast aluminum, it just lasts so much longer than any wood or wicker furniture I've owned.
These look beautiful in my garden.

I super love this color. I've always loved this Tiffany's teal and I am so glad I found a polish that is this color!
Very long lasting
the color is VIBRANT it looks fantastic.

This is a great thing to keep in your car or purse. Might as well play it safe. een very casual drinking can put you over the limit if you aren't paying attention. It's really easy to get over .08!
This little device is super accurate and can ensure no more DUI's for you... as long as you use the information correctly!

Timberlands are great. This shoe has a rubber waterproof sole and full leather upper. It's a very pretty boot...my bo has some of these from last winter and he got a ton of use out of them.

This is a great camping chair. It's incredibly comfortable. Definitely the most comfortable chair of this type that I have used.
It is, however, very heavy too. You won't want to hike to your campsite with this chair, but if your site is right outside your car - like many sites are - these chairs will be perfect.
Cozy up next to the campfire and make some s'mores in this chair!

This is one of the best facial cleansers I have ever used. It is gentle on my face but still obviously cleans. I really like the smell. Afterwards I feel very refreshed, and my face feels so soft!!

I love this peacock dress.
I bought it to take on a cruise this past summer and wore the heck out of it! It's just pure fun. The material is surprisingly nice. It feels comfortable on my skin.

I love that the color is called 'Orgasm.'
This stuff rules.
It's fairly thick but not sticky or gooey. It s bright and sparkly.
They say put it on by itself or over other lip products, but I say it is plenty loud on its own.
It's a nice warm shade of pink, that happens to look marvelous on my lips!
One of my faves.

I know my husband uses this Dewalt cause he calls it' De best' cordless dril he's ever owned. Of course this is the drill only, which is silly... so remember to get a battery, too!

I own this little guy right here. It's not like it produces massive amounts of sound, but it does produce CLEAR sound, which is much more important to me anyways. I live in an apartment so I don't need a huge system.
I still have an extensive CD collection and love to listen to them. Like all Sony products, it's high quality, easy to use, and sounds fantastic. I am very pleased wit this unit.

Yes definitely use a micro fiber cloth, anything else will scratch it! Turn the TV off so you can really see the smudges. First, try gently rubbing the area with the cloth... don't press too hard because too much pressure might cause some pixels to burn out. Yikes!
If the dirt isn't coming off with this dry technique, try mixing a little 1 to 1 water to white vinegar solution. Use a very small amount on the cloth (the smallest amount possible) and again, gently rub the area.... don't get any water on your tv!!

this tv looks beautiful even before you turn it on!
the 1080 picture quality is absolutely stunning. there is no way you could not love this television. amazingly clear picture. lots of inputs.
also, it was very easy to hang on my wall and that is great.
i highly recommend this tv.

Right here, Shelly. This is THE softest nightgown around! And the best news is it's under $30.
It's made of nylon. Sounds 'eh' but feels 'oooooohhhhhh'. Incredibly soft material...it just drapes down your body. Gotta get one, 'cause right now you're missing out.

this 7.1 channel receiver from Sony should do the trick for you. it is certainly compatible with your flatscreen, and it pumps out a lot of sound! 110 watts per channel....pretty darn good. sounds big and clear.
the SPDIF update means it will work for your tv, even if it's brand new!

I think this is an attractive hoodie for a man of any age. Nice design, nice cut, nice lines, and a nice material. Very attractive!

I think for moms and dads a photo album is always the right thing. Everyone loves pictures, after all.
Put some nice pics of the fam in here and you will be in real good shape.

What a cute umbrella this is! It's big enough for two people to share, which is a huge plus. It folds up very small, making it easily portable. Love it. Blocks rain in style.

this helps if you have wrist/joint problems. works really well! really cool idea.
only problem is it could be a little more sensitive.... a little frustrating sometimes but it saves my wrist from over exertion.

This is a great device and it really works, but it's kind of a lot to deal with, and is only for the serious electronic note taker.
Here's what I mean. First and foremost, you can only write on a certain magical paper that only they will sell to you, so be ready to spend some extra cash on this. You will also need to buy ink refills from them, and they are pretty small because they have to compete for space with the electronics in the pen. Also you have to transfer all the info onto your computer and that's no problem but just another step... not as simple as I would have liked it to be,
That being said, when I do use it it works as it should and is a pretty nifty little tool. It recognizes everything I write and records it. Great for diagram note taking.

I love this dock/alarm clock thing it is my best friend. It's sixty dollars - I don't know if you can swing it - but I think it's worth it.
It has a hidden tray that slides out for you to plug your phone in. So I plug it in every night and charge it up. I set the sleep feature so I can listen to my music as I fall asleep. Then, every morning I get to wake up to my own music and a fully charged phone That's called living in luxury ;)
The display isn't too bright so it's not obnoxious. It has a remote, too. The sound quality as great. I love it all the way around.

This camera is awesome for general usability and it's true 'point & shoot' nature. anyone can successfully take nice shots with it, as it will do a lot of the work for youI! it takes the guess work out of casual picture taking and focuses on results, no pun intended.
there is tendency for this camera to take rather 'soft' images.... not as sharp as say a canon lens, but some adjustments in the settings can really help with that issue.
sharing is as easy as plugging in and opening the right software, and it's compatible both with macs and pc.
all around this will be an extremely family friendly camera and it takes very high quality photos, so you will definitely be satisfied with your purchase.
Another cool thing is it has a lot of advanced features that you can eventually master and incorporate into your every day picture taking!

Best cream around for extremely sensitive skin, like mine and yours. It's pleasantly creamy, and a little goes a long way.
The vitamin E is awesome I can tell it really soothes my troubled skin.
Rub it in all the way and it won't be greasy or anything.
Oh and it smells delicious as well!
Great stuff.

This would take a lot of time but it would be a very memorable gift to give someone. Make a scrapbook to chronicle her life, include pics of her as a child and growing up, ending with the most current pic you have.
This would mean so much.

This is cool/funny but it doesn't come with the hat!! All these costume pics are so misleading because they show all these extra accessories that don't even come with it!

This is a great way to keep freshly chopped veggies, fruits and anything else in your refrigerator. They are made of plastic that is BPA free. Not recommended for dishwashers or microwaves though!
They're great for a lot of reasons. They form a tight seal so they keep food fresh for a long time, in or out of the fridge. They are all different stackable shapes and sizes so they don't take up tons of unnecessary room. Also, they are clear so you can see what's inside them at first glance. Really useful containers.

I remember when I was young and couldn't sleep my mom would make me a cup of Chamomile tea and I would cozy up with a good book and just read until I couldn't keep my eyes open any more.
Fond memories! Every time I drink chamomile now I think of that.
Chamomile is very much a calming tea that helps with relaxation quite effectively and naturally..... and it tastes yummy, too!

This is a great great great conditioner at what I think is an absolutely reasonable price. I use a lot of Biolage products because they always do wonders for my hair.
I use it twice a week and it rehydrates, softens and shines my coarse hair. I will continue to use this product because it is awesome!
You GOTTA try it.

Seriously you need to get her this rubber chicken purse. I am not kidding it's awesome! Best conversation piece ever. It so damn silly. The thing is made of rubber and the inside is lined with a soft silky material. It does smell a bit like rubber, so be warned. Not overwhelmingly so, just a hint.
Let's see...what else.... handles are big enough to put on over a coat. Everything feels safe and secure in there, and it feels durable in general.
If she hates it, return it and let her pick one out.
But you should definitely go out on a limb here and get this thing!!

The ONLY thing I don't like about this tree is I wish it was bigger because I want to hang more jewelry on it! I absolutely love how it looks. Beautiful chrome coating. It's really sturdy, which came as a surprise to me. By looking at it you would think it was sort of weak and flimsy, but upon setting it up you can tell immediately that it is well built and isn't gonna collapse or fall over. I am very happy with it and I want another one.

This isn't a full slipper.... more like a slide type thing. Very very warm on my toes, and soft and cozy inside. I used to hate cold weather, now I don't mind it as much because I like wearing these so much!
They are soft and gentle enough for cuddling on your couch, and the sole is tough enough for cruisin' around outside. Careful, once you put them on you're not going to want to take them off!!!

These are extremely useful for that sort of thing, Gretchen. You can name each little slot and put the corresponding papers in there. Just make sure you take the time to go through it and get rid of anything you don't need, do this once a month and you'll be in good shape.

This is a fabulous all around firming and toning cream that will bring lift and youth to your eyes like you won't believe!
It has caffein and other good stuff that bring a vibrance to my eyes, like I'm 16 again!
Very expensive, but it will last a long time because a little will go a very long way.
Worth the price if you are starting to see crows feet or any sagging, like I was.
Seemed to stop it dead in it's tracks!

This is a SWEET looking blazer. Fitted and tailored and everything (at least it sure looks like it). Very modern and urban for the sophisticated, dapper man!
I think if you only have one blazer it should probably be a black one... certainly more versatile than a grey one.

Pinot Noir is a particularly difficult wine to shop for. The grapes used for its fermentation are quite picky with their living conditions and need a very specific cool (but not too cool) climate to thrive and actually taste like they should. For this reason you won't find a lot of cheap bottles of pinot noir that actually taste like pinot noir. The grapes are a lot to handle and drive up the cost of producing a quality wine.
There are some wineries that pull it off though, and this is one of them. A deliciously fruity pinot noir that is sure to impress. My #1 vote for wines under $25.

This is a wonderful little starter set. You get a pen, a couple of nibs, different color inks, refills.
The pen writes beautifully, although it's not super comfortable in my hand.... this is okay though because I'm not usually writing essays or anything! Usually I use for addressing stuff or little letters to people.
If you don't know how to get that calligraphy penmanship you will need to purchase an additional supplementary book to show you how... I suggest the Calligrapher's Bible, but there are many other good books too.

I use these all the time. I keep one in my purse at all times. I know it's basically just water in an aerosol can, but I allow myself to buy it and use it because it is a real treat in the middle of the day to spray a little spritzer of mist onto my face! Any nay sayers don't understand until they've tried it.
I have particularly dry skin and face wipes tend to dry it out even more.... awful. This spray adds the moisture I need back to my face (especially useful in the winter time) without drying it out at all. It feels very refreshing on a hot day or at work. I don't have the time or ability to go into the bathroom and wash my face in the middle of the day, so this is perfect for me.
Also, it is fortified with lots of nutrients that are actually good for your skin. Stuff like magnesium and calcium that makes your skin go, 'Mmmmmm'.
I love these! A wonderfully refreshing product.

I don't think there's a better wine on this planet for 12 bucks! This is an awesome chardonnay, easy to taste and easy to love. A little sweet but definitely well balanced.
I heard about it online while researching good bargain wines. i tried a few in the under 20 category and this was by far my favorite.

i prefer the good old earbuds for my runs. they stay in may ears fine and sound good. their not sweat resistant, but that's ok for me because I don't sweat too much!

A USB condenser mic is totally the way to go. You can plug it directly into your computer. A decent condenser mic will yield a fantastic sounding product. This even comes with a stand mount and a 10ft cable. This is an awesome little kit for you! All you need is a mic stand.
USB mics are an awesome invention for podcasting. The only draw back with them is that you can't really use them for performing or doing live stuff because it can't plug into a sound board. If you only need it for podcasting, this is perfect and you will be a very happy camper!

this book is old school to the max, but has tons of valuable information. i guess it's been around forever. my mom gave it to me. i was initially annoyed at the lack of photos, but the illustrations do get the point across sufficiently, and they're actually kind of fun. i learned a lot of great techniques from this old goodie here.

I've been through a lot of products in my day and this, I can tell you for certain, is the best lotion for oily skin!
The oil free design makes it usable for even the most breakout-prone skin (like mine) as it will NOT clog pores and in fact helps to tighten them (thanks to the retinol).
The gentle formula actually protects and exfoliates as it moisturizes. (thanks to AHA/BHA and antioxidants)
A truly great product I'm so grateful that I found it. My skin looks and feels so much healthier and softer since I started using it.
They offer a whole line... this is step 3. I only use this, but I've heard the whole line is equally effective.

For best results you want to aim for places on your body that emit the most heat or have blood flow close to the skin. wrists, thighs, neck, underarm, and other such places are good. not all those places at once, though! a good bet is wrists and neck. you don't want the scent to be overwhelming! Just a subtle hint.

I think a slim fitting, single breasted 2 button suit will never ever go out of style, and as long as it's made well and fits right it will be in this fall, next fall, and the fall after that. Greys and dark blues are very popular right now, as are skinny ties, which would be a good accessory to consider for a modern look.
A trend I've been noticing lately is a slight broader shoulder, slimming as it goes down. This creates the illusion of an athletic build, or highlights it if they are built as such.
Also, look for a narrower lapel. Definitely moving in that direction this year.

I like this particular hemp shirt because it is blended with cotton therefor it's softer and less itchy that your average hemp shirt. I totally support the hemp industry...it's awesome to find different materials to use for familiar products. especially hemp... it's a good green product.
the shirt is comfy like a tee and fits pretty well, although it's not a particularly slim fit. will shrink, but only slightly. nice shirt!

These are nice jackets.... the problem is that I'm sure you expected to see this jacket pop up when you asked the question because it's too darn popular!!! Everyone has this jacket. But that's for a reason! It's warm and soft, and not too expensive. North Face is always a good bet.

We bought one of these for a little added security in our new big house. It works pretty well for such a teeny tiny little camera. Picture isn't crystal clear or anything, but it's not bad and you can easily see what's going on. The range is good for about 200 feet. I would imagine this is enough for an RC car because it probably has a similar range? This seems to be one of the smallest cameras out there at this price, so it's a good bet for fastening to your RC car. I bet you could attach it right to the bumper or something and on one would even see it! The ultimate spy tool.

Sweet HID conversion kit...although not quite 'plug and play'like they advertise. Obviously there's a little wiring involved, as you have to switch out your old bulbs AND attach the ballast, which supplies the extra power necessary to oprate such a bright light.
I should also recommend a professional install, unless you are comfortable with wiring stuff. This company no longer has a website to help you with troubleshooting, so besides the included info, you're on your own! my husband and I managed to figure it out though with out two huge brains!

I bought some of these for my hubby at the beginning of the summer and he likes them a lot. He used them all summer for various trips and stuff and he'll definitely be able to use them again next summer-they hold up real well. I like the way they look, too.
We were astounded at how fast these thing dry off! A few minutes in the sun and they are dry. Amazing!

yeah i would definitely go with down. the problem is that it's hard to find a professional looking down jacket, whereas most wools look beautiful and expensive!
but look around. you can find some very professional looking black downs and even full length downs, like you find with wools.

I have one of these, but anything similar would be ideal. A hand crank flashlight is an incredibly useful thing to keep around in your vehicle. Who knows when you'll get a flat or break down at night or be out camping and everyone has forgotten a flashlight...except you!
You just hand crank it for a few minutes and get plenty of use time out of it. It's great because just put it in your car and you will always be prepared. You never have to worry about batteries or anything.
I guarantee you will use this in your car within the first month of owning it. Personal guarantee!

I'll say right off the bat that these are probably too expensive for.... well.... just about everybody! At almost $600 these are the real deal. As far as fancy, it doesn't get much fancier than these.
Cobbled in Italy by Italians using Italian leather. GORGEOUS. The best.

My husband LOVES these shoes, and so will your dad! I bought these for him and he is very pleased with them. He says they are the most comfortable golf shoes ever! He really likes that they are basically a combination of a traditional golf shoe and a cross trainer. More of a sporty look than than some of those dressy looking shoes. They seem to me like they're more functional and performance based than the flat conventional golf shoe. More comfortable feet = a more relaxed, better game. They are also more weather resistant and wear resistant, and seem to be moe durable and tougher.
This is a great bet for your dad. Chances are it's exactly what he's been waiting for, and didn't even know it!!

As far as I'm concerned the red-brown wingtip is the ultimate in style and sophistication. A beautiful take on the black & white wingtip... far less obtrusive and costume-like. This is truly a beautiful shoe.
On the flip side, I bought my husband a pair of these and he says they don't get tight enough around his ankles. He laces them up all the way and can't seem to get them tight around his ankle, even though they otherwise fit his feet perfectly. Nothing that a thick pair of socks can't fix, though, and he still wears them quite often - I guess it's not a deal breaker!

Why don't you try out something completely different with this silicone watch. If you're going for something different stylistically, this may be for you. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Simple face, cool color. Inexpensive, to. Just a fun accessory to consider!

Here's a nice, simple down vest from a great company. Down is what you need for a warm vest. I like this vest because it comes in a nice variety of colors. The orange is sweet.
But it's just a simple, zip up vest. Has a place for your arms, a hole for your head, and it keeps you warm. What else could ou ask for?

This is a gorgeous bow tie. My husband has one just like this and I make him wear it as much as possible!
It's refreshing to see a guy in a bow tie. They are a handsome accessory and don't get enough credit, as far as i'm concerned. Not enough guys wear bow ties. I like 'em better than straight ties, to be honest! I love this paisley design.

This is a pretty nice Atlas... has some pros and cons of course, like everything else. I love that it's spiral bound. I think every atlas should absolutely be the same. Makes life easier. It has tons of maps of everywhere in the United States and even Canada and Mexico. Fun to browse through and great for long road trips.
The cons come in the form of user friendliness, or a lack there of. I wouldn't say this atlas is very user friendly and it takes a minute to get used to how they present the material. It's very small, and road names are often not placed on the map often enough, so you have to look all over the page to figure out the specific road name. This is annoying, but I guess thy had to do it to get all that info in there about US, Mex and Can.
Since I don't go to Mex.or Can. very often, I sort of wish they left them out of this one and just showed me a detailed US map. Next time maybe.

i have this faceplate. it looks really cool. different than many that i've seen. made by sony, sounds really good. i like that it's detachable because i work in a kind of bad area and it makes me feel better to detach it during the day.
The display is bright and clear and the buttons are pretty simple to read and comprehend.
Get it professionally installed for sure! My friend let her friends try to install a cd player and they failed pretty miserably!

I bought one of these for my husband because someone had suggested charmeuse silk to me. Oh my gosh it's so soft! I'm considering buying one for myself because I think I wear it more than he does! It's a wonderful material and a nicely made robe.

Funny you should ask this because I just showed this website to my nephew who's in college and needed a hem:
http://themeckleys.com/blog/2009/01/how-to-hem-pan...
It's pretty awesome and works exceptionally well. all it is is an adhesive tape that you stick on there, then you use an iron to heat it up into glue. it's a very strong fabric adhesive called Fusible Fabric Tape. almost as good as a real hem, and waaaaaay easier.
great for people like me who don't sew!

awesome slipper. uggs are the best for men AND women! these are suuuuper comfortable, and and are tough enough to wear outside.

as long as it's not like a vintage cap or super delicate you can just throw it in the laundry with the rest of your clothes. don't put it in the dryer though! let it air dry.
most caps these days are made of cotton or polyester and have a plastic brim. this can certainly withstand a wash in the machine.
check the tag-it should say what it's made of, i think.
if it's wool, don't wash it in the machine! this will ruin it. instead, hand wash it in your sink with a wool-safe product, like woolite or something.

Finally a bluetooth speakerphone that I can use! The first one I got had such a terrible sound quality for the person on the other line that I eventually had to consider it useless and get rid of it.
This is an awesome bluetooth unit. It enables hands free calling with good sound quality without an installation. I love that about it... I can put this thing in any vehicle, it just clips onto the visor.
It works wirelessly, another plus. Better than other fm transmitter devices I've had... this one actually works.

You may want to try something like this. It's more of a land shoe than a water shoe, but it does perform very well in the water, and dries quickly because of it's open design and waterproof material. Can be worn without socks, all day, no prob. The mesh material is super light and cooling.
These are a little more expensive than your average water shoe, but you will certainly get more use out of them.
Ideal for outdoors... lakes and rivers and stuff.

Unfortunately the only way to clean your cars grill for real is to get scrubbin. There's no miracle spray on stuff that will just rinse everything off - unfortunately.
Get a bucket of warm soapy water (warm water definitely works better than cold) I just use dish soap. I like to pre rinse with my hose. A big sponge is nice to coat the whole grill once with your soapy mixture.
Then take either a small brush (which works wonderfully) or a rag and start scrubbin all those bugs off.
Disgusting, I know, but you gotta do it if you want it clean.
Rinse, repeat if necessary.
A little bug and tar remover will help with the remaining pieces that are stuck on there - just follow the directions.

This is a very handsome coat from a wonderful company. My husband owns/loves this coat. I love it, too because it makes him look so handsome!
It's not the warmest winter coat ever, but it's nothing a couple of well thought out layers can't handle. Beautiful design, nice material, nice fit. A+.

This is a gorgeous leather band watch. I just bought my husband one for his birthday last month and he is still raving about it. It's so distinguished is what he keeps saying. And it is distinguished. A real gentlemans watch, but not uptight and hoity-toity. Still masculine, but not rugged.
It looks beautiful all the way around....except kind of the band. It'snot the highest quality band ever, but it's ok and the rest of the watch makes up for it.
Keeps time well, wears well. Good value.

My husband has this exact robe and he absolutely loves it... lives in it practically. It's all super soft material, lightweight, too. Perfect for summertime. It's also a decent looking cut and design.... a little more stylish than your average everyday robe. I think it's around 50, 60 bucks, Worth every penny if you're into robes.
