Vitamix makes several different models of high performance blenders. This is the top of the line, professional grade blender. It's commercial grade with crazy horse power. You truly will be able to blend anything with this. It's also got a great spill proof lid, and a 1 year warranty.
You definitely have nice commercial grade options with that price range. Super heavy duty blade. Nice and large for blending for groups and the motor comes with a 5 year warranty.
Yeah, the Waring blender is a super nice option. Super powerful motor will crush ice fast, and it can puree for you. Comes with a 1 year warranty and a 5 year motor warranty.

Patty is right about the Epson Business Color printer. It's an initial investment, but if you print a lot this is a GREAT way to go. A printer yielding 8000 pages per cartridge is going to save you a lot of money i the long run. It's also super fast (about 37 ppm) and time is money. :)
High res copies and scans:
Scan Resolution: Up to 4800 dpi
Copy Resolution: Up to 1200 x 600 dpi
It's also super fast, up to 16 ppm. It's served my home business well, and I think would do well in a small business also.

I can tell you what I lust after, but don't own. Pricey, I know, but truly state of the art. Superior color. Contrast that spans the deepest blacks. Truly an amazing picture that will take your breath away.... you won't want to go out to the movies anymore. :)
Great resolution. Great for home entertainment and gaming. 0Hz frame rate. 3 HDMI connections, and USB connection. Has a specific gaming mode to reduce delay which works well.
The colors on this monitor are fantastic. I've used it for Photoshop and general work. Great speaker quality too for the price. 5ms response time isn't the fastest, but has served me well.
These fit great and can get 4.5 hours of talk time, as well as connect to two devices simultaneously. The best run/ phone phones I've found.

Vizio does a great job with the 3D. And yes, it is cool you can get such a big one for the current price right now. I prefer 3D with the glasses, for some reason I think the quality is usually better that way, and the quality of this TV is pretty fantastic. Check out the specs:
42-inch CCFL-backlit LCD HDTV with 1080p resolution, 3D video, and VIZIO internet apps
Immersive VIZIO Theater 3D uses lightweight, inexpensive polarized glasses (two pairs included)
Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with Internet Apps for access to Netflix, VUDU HD movies, Pandora Internet radio, and more
120Hz refresh rate for smooth, super-sharp viewing for fast-action sports and movies
Playback of MP3 audio files and JPG images with full-screen slideshows via USB devices
Built-in Internet TV with Vudu, Netflix, Film Fresh, over 100 Apps to: Pandora, Twitter, and Facebook, and more. Really easy to set-up the internet. I think the picture is pretty great too. I love podcasts and I like being able to watch and listen to podcasts on this baby.

If price is no object, go 7D. This package also will get your started with some decent lenses so you can get shooting right away. Canon does great in low light, and this camera gives about the max control out there as far as manual settings and has the largest range of frame rate, getting the highest consumer ratings when shooting video. Pros are putting Nikon and Zeiss lenses on this baby and using this to shoot major shows. The DP for 24 @rodneykiwi has Tweeted a ton about his love for this camera. I haven't had much of a chance to play with it a ton, but the little shooting I have done with it I have not been disappointed.
I got into shooting sports because my cousin is a semi-pro surfer. Canon Rebel is a nice place to start. The higher frame per second rate you can get, I would say the better results you can get for sports. Canon Mark is about the best out there, at 10 fps. The Rebel shoots about 3 fps, obviously not as fast, but if you're not a pro yet, not a bad place to start. You can also get some a nice ISO range of 100-6400 on this camera, and you can purchase up to a 55 mm lens--I've taken some great shots on this body with a 55 mm lens and been commissioned by several surfers to shoot them out in the water, so again, I'd say this camera is a really nice place to start.
You want to go for as much optical zoom as possible so as not to miss any sports action. Nikon has a great 15x zoom on this Coolpix model, which will help (but when shopping around, I would say you minimally want at least a 12X zoom). It's also nice and fast when you start it up, and in between shooting photos. Additionally, you've got 720p HD movie recording at 30fps; and HDMI output if you want to capture some action in video format.
Super speedy. No lag time between taking photos so you won't miss any action. Also, a nice zoom on this camera to get in close. 14.2 megapixels are enough so you can blow up big prints if you like. And it all fits in your pocket, so take it to soccer games, awards ceremonies, pretty much wherever.

Hard to beat the name of Sony when it comes to TVs. And the Bravia is no exception. Check out the specs:
10-bit 16:9 Full HD 1080p Panel (1920x1080 resolution)
24p True Cinema (24p Input Capability via HDMI)
Live Color Creation system with WCG-CCFL backlight
Connections: 2 HDMI; 1 S-Video input; 2 Component Video; 3 Composite Video Inputs; 1 Digital Audio Output; 1 PC Video Input; 1 PC Audio Input
1,800:1 On screen contrast ratio
You can definitely get a lot for your $ in this price range. 3D and internet ready. Pretty great picture and sound. Only about an inch thick (if you don't count the speakers). Also, this is a REALLY big TV. :) If you are looking to out big and out better a friend, this is a nice deal.
Fast, a bit loud, but a great all-purpose drive. WD has so much confidence in the product it comes with a 5 year warranty.
Features a 1080p, 24.6-inch screen, HDMI, DVI, RGB and composite inputs (along with analog and optical outputs for hooking up additional components), an impressive 2 millisecond response, 300 candela brightness. Pretty great features for the price.

I would check out Newegg. Great deals.

If you can swing an iPad, I would go for it. It's a literally a mini computer. It's basically what started the tablet/ netbook revolution, and still the leader. Bluetooth-enabled connectivity options, a built-in microphone, an optional 3G data package and a backlight
I would go with the Nikon. 14 MP instead of 12, 1080p video instead of 720p, and 11 auto-focus points instead of 9. The specs along are better quality. Good luck and happy shooting.
Will satisfy the audio pro in you. Dynamic sound. Very clean, deep bass response. Detachable ear cups for pro users. 10 foot Y style cable, and belt for excess cable.

Nice option for teens through college age. Solidly built nice price point for entry DSLR. LiveView shooting, an 11-point autofocus system, 4.7 fps continuous shooting speed, and impressive sensitivity range (ISO 100 to 12,800 expanded). You also have 720p HD video recording mode at 24fps for video. If you are willing to spend a little more the body also comes in awesome vibrant colors.
Has a great lens and image stabilization technology to give you image stabilization even at high zoom. Has nice manual settings, and you can additionally record high def film if you so like.

This is what my boyfriend likes to shoot with. He just took it on a trip to Thailand, and the pics were fantastic. The packages I suggested also comes with travel backpack at the ready that will carry up to five lenses. Check out the specs:
14.2MP DX Sensor
3" LCD
Live View
HD 1080p Video w/ Sound & Autofocus
11-point Autofocus
3 Frames per Second Shooting
ISO 100 to 3200 (Expand to 12800-Hi2)
Self Cleaning Sensor
EXPEED 2, Image Processing Engine
Scene Recognition System

I know it is a tiny bit over your price range, but if you shop around a body should be able to be had for under $1000 or right around $1000. Will do well in low light. (Nice and fast) and really bridges the gap between a pro and a novice. It features an APS-C sized 15.1-megapixel CMOS sensor for tremendous images, new DIGIC 4 Image Processor for fine detail and superior color reproduction. Happy shooting!

Really fast ultra portable laptop (which makes it great for an all-around multi-media experience. This is a good price for a base model, but if you want all the bells and whistles, anticipate spending closer to $2500. This base model will start you with: Intel Core i5 processor (2.66GHz) with Turbo Boost Technology (2.93GHz)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
13.3" LED (1366x768) widescreen display
4GB of RAM & 500GB Serial ATA HDD
Intel wireless display technology

Nice computer for non-Mac users. Core i7 + 6GB ram + 500GB HDD + 1GB ATI. Great video and graphics cards so it can handle video editing and various video editing programs.

For software developing I would stick with Windows so you can run more programs. I would stick with a minimum of 3GB ram and a dual-core 2.1GHz AMD processor. I love my Acer Aspire. It has a Intel® Core™ i5-2467M Processor and 20GB of ram-- nice and fast. This model is also fantastically thin and light ala Macbook Air so it would additionally be great for a student.

You usually wanna go with a cannister model to also work on hardwood. I have a Dyson and it does a good job on both. A little pricey, but it has served me well for several years.

Really great for practicing/ apt living. You can also plug in headphones so as not to bother neighbors. Will obviously need something bigger/ more substantial for gigging, but for practicing you can't beat the price and quality.

I bought a Pyle. It has been serving me well for gigs at very small venues/ open mic style gigs.

This bed is actually designed for those guys who like to burrow and nest. My terrier scratches and scratches and walks around in circles before laying down, but so far, the bed has held up well.

I have the women's version. Great for skiing. Keep you extremely warm.

My brother has an Element and really likes it. I've driven it some as well and I like it also. I like that it is a bit shorter than other cars, and my 6 foot 4 brother likes that it is a bit taller. Nice and easy passenger or cargo loading (he flips houses, so he likes the cargo space). For city spaces, I would go with Element over Pathfinder. Good luck!

The traditional "push" present is usually some time of jewelry to commemorate the new birth and new time in your lives... if you want to get something totally unique, I actually recommend checking out the hand crafted jewelry on Etsy.com

I feel like every gal deserves to own a pair of hot red leather pumps. I bought these for the price, and I like them. Fairly comfy. Not top notch quality, but nice for the price if you don't wear them all the time, but even if you do you could snag another pair.

Vacuum the carpets and seats with some baking soda mixed in. Just put a little baking soda on the carpets and seats, and the vacuum it up. Should help a lot. Then maybe additionally buy an air freshener to go in the car.

A little better for passenger side, but I use it to protect youngster's eyes who are sitting next to me in the front seat.

Hi Kevin, if you are looking for a camera bag for packing a bunch of gear, I really like this option. Not too heavy or too pricey, and has nice padding to protect a nice DSLR or the like. The side pocket feature is probably the coolest part. You can quickly access your camera safely without taking the whole backpack off. I packed a Canon 6D on a big trip in this bag, and it worked great for me.

A great pair of wedges can also transform capris from day time to nighttime. More comfy than regular heels also.

Feel good and buy recycled, and also will fit most glasses.

I like how these can be dressed up or down. Good for work, or for play. I bought a my bf a pair, and he digs.
Holds A LOT of stuff if you have kids in the car. You can't overload it too much with books other wise items may fall out and it won't fit the seat quite right. As long as you don't overload it, it works great.

Exceeded my expectations on taste. Has a few calories, not completely calorie free but something around 10 cals per serving and again, very tasty.

If it gets cold where you are, might wanna consider a pair of these for your guy.

I have some thighs, I won't lie. LOL. For those with bigger thighs, flares are always a nice option. I really like True Religion and find them to be both flattering and high quality.

I really think Aviators are super flattering on both men and women. You can also find them for at an affordable price point. Hey, it's summer, maybe even grab him a back-up pair. :)

Hey Kimberly... just in case you were shopping for yourself, or for a woman, I thought I would suggest a women's watch. I really do love my trusty Timex. It goes, and goes. And b/c it is so affordable, I have bought several in various band colors.
Really sturdy, and easy to use. Can also be converted for a child up to 100 lbs, so you can grow with this seat.
Oh, fancy! A nice Tweed jacket might go well with that. You will certainly get noticed with a fly look like that.
I also think a simple dress like this one also from CK would work too, especially if it is happening during this very hot summer. You could pair this with a very light blazer and I also think this dress would make a nice transition to every day work wear.

HI Janie, I think you called it. If you just buy out of season you are going to get the best deals. Shop for winter clothes in summer and vice versa. To get the labels you are looking for you might have to go online. Hope this helps!

I feel like you can't go wrong with Lady GaGa, and what I love about her is that most of her music has a really positive message.

I like to pick my own shoes, and try them on, but I will definitely try out new scents, and I am not married to one, so I would have to say perfume.

The Leica has a 25mm wide angle, and you can still zoom into those faces with a 125mm telephoto top end. It also takes pretty nice HD movies. Really nice for traveling.

I like this set because it looks like it could help your little one transfer from little girl to big girl. Crib sets can be crazy so choosing one that might provide some longevity might help stretch the dollar. Congrats on your little one!
