Hi Allen! It seems to me that you're going to want the simplest one possible... no need to over complicate something like coffee, especially at the office. Also, it seems like you probably won't want to spend a fortune on a coffee machine that is strictly for the office, at least I know I wouldn't.
All it does is brew coffee - turn it on and it goes. Seems like all you need, and since it comes with some good reviews I am confident suggesting it to you.

I would suggest this microwave oven, Pat.
It's big! It's powerful! It's loud! It's aesthetically pleasing!
Sure, it's a bit expensive but I think it's gonna be worth it, especially for baking. Has some sort of "inverter technology" that is supposed to be similar to cooking in an oven.
Definitely a great machine. Try it out.

You can pick up one of these for under $25, and I would say it's the best one at this price point. Be aware that nothing at this price will be able to shred high quantities at one time, but with a little patience I think it will be an excellent purchase.
The main thing, like I mentioned already, is that it can only shred a couple sheets at one time. So it's perfect for mail or a few documents here and there. Not for large projects though!
Also worth noting is that it can also shred credit cards, paper clips and staples.

Here is a nice, simple, well made keyboard that will be excellent for software development or anything where you have to type a lot. It's not only easy but actually kind of fun to type on due to it's design... it resembles the old IBM style keyboards. I am so used to typing on laptop keyboards, I find it is a pleasure to type on this kind!

Here's an inexpensive way to get 12gb DDR3. I mean this sort of thing is quite specific to your system... this one is for use with an Intel Core i7 Triple Channel system. Good price though!

Keep it in the family! This AMD motherboard should do the trick, and is a good price, too.

Here's a possibility... don't know if it's boring or not, but at least you can do it from your desk at your own pace.

Looks like the model Greg posted would be the smallest.... here's another option though. Pretty nice stuff going on inside. I'm not that familiar with the Gateway brand....is there a reason you asked for gateway specifically? Just curious.
Here are the specs:
Intel Core i3 Processor 2.2GHz
4GB DDR3 RAM
640GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
|
|
|
|

I think this is exactly what you need. Plenty of memory, lots of RAM, long battery life (I assume you need this for travel?), plus Samsung is a good brand for laptops. I think 15" is a good screen size. To me, this is like a pc version of the Macbook Pro. Check out the highlights;
Intel Core i7 Processor 2675QM (2.2GHz)
8GB RAM
1TB hard drive
I don't know a lot about .net developing, but I should mention that there is no number pad on this thing.... I don't know if that's a problem or not. If it is, maybe you should also check out HP's Pavillion dv7, because I know that model has a number pad.

Well I have an iPhone, an ipad and a laptop. I have found that I never use my laptop any more! It's a convenience thing.... I'll be sitting on my couch, ipad within reach, and it's so easy to grab it and check my facebook or whatever. much easier than getting my laptop (not like that's hard, but ipad is certainly more convenient.)
But I agree that it is too big to carry around, and I almost never do. You probably won't either since you have the ipod, which is way more portable. So the ipad will more likely be something to replace a laptop than an ipod, which is I guess what I am trying to say. I think if you have a laptop and an ipod you are in good shape, and getting that ipad would be almost redundant. They are fun, but not a necessity. Maybe if you want a bigger screen go with a Kindle Fire? That's a good cheap option.

Gotta give that honor to these. Smallest and lightest around... you won't even know you're wearing them!!
Aaaaaand of course, being Klipsch, the sound quality will be outstanding.

I gotta go with this one, Shelly. You gotta check it out, it's very cool. Samsung's latest model...it's packed full of features.
First off, it just looks grand. You know? Slim bevel, cool base, big screen. Features include (but aren't limited to):
-2d or 3d viewing
-built-in wifi
-buil-in camera
-Gesture Control, which reacts to hand gestures to change the channel and stuff
-Face Recognition so you can log into your accounts without typing in any passwords
-Voice Navigation so you can turn it on and off and change channels and stuff with your voice!
-Exercise service built right in! Work out with Samsung's built-in programs
-DNSe (Digital Natural Sound engine) for excellent audio
The list goes on and on. This is like the future of television right here. Check out the link I provided for even more features.

You might try something like this.... it's a pretty nice little machine from HP. Has a small yet vibrant 11.6-inch diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit display (1366 x 768 resolution), 4GB DDR3, and a 320GB 7200RPM hard drive. Also included is Beats audio and they say you'll get over 9 hours of battery life, which is awesome because long battery life is one of the main reasons we buy smaller computers, right?

|
Kindle Fire seems to be what you're looking for. Definitely the best cost to performance ratio among the tablet world.... the price is ridiculously affordable at $199.
It will give you access to millions of books and movies and magazines and basically endless electronic media.
Keep in mind that with Fire you won't be able to do things like write word documents or make presentations or anything. Its purely designed for enjoying/consuming content from the internet. Mostly just entertainment, but if that's what you want it will be perfect!
|
|
|
|
|
I think these look great and they're only $2 over budget! Big earcups, In-line amplifier, and a flexible, detachable microphone, which if you ask me is a great feature.
The sound is delivered through two high quality 40 mm speakers, so it should be rich and full.

|
|
Unless you want to buy used or refurbished, you're probably gonna have to go with Air on this one (to keep it under $1000). Would this be something you would consider?
I think MBA is a pretty cool laptop, especially if you are frequently on the go. It doesn't have the most powerful performance specs, but for general internet/word processing/medium use it will be an excellent machine. Here's what's going on under the hood: 1.6 GHz Intel i5 dual-core processor, 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM, 64GB flash storage. That flash storage is great for travel and makes the thing start up almost instantly. It is very small...thin and light, but has a decently sized 11 inch screen.
This is probly your best bet under $1000.

|
For just a teeny bit over budget you might consider Ear Force headphones by Turtle Beach. These are very highly rated headphones across the board and I think they give the best bang for your buck.
They have an in-line amplifier that gives you quick access to your in-game controls. They are also very comfortable and well made. I like the microphone/monitor thing they have going on, too. This makes your headphones act like your own personal monitor, so you can actually hear your own voice in the headphones as you speak.
Ask anyone...these are great headphones!
|
|
|
|
|
My advice would be to listen to your music and mess around with the settings until it sounds right to you. It's a very personal thing, so everyone might like something a little different. Keep on messing with it until it sounds good! I think that's about all you can do!
|
|
|

|
This is a bit over your budget, but it is the best portrait lens in your price range... at least as far as I am concerned. You can get a used one and it will bring the price down a bit and still be an excellent lens.
It has those features you need for portraits, like close focusing to 1.5 feet, really fast and precise focus, and fantastic image quality. It will also have good low light abilities, in case you encounter that sort of situation.
It is going to be perfect for portraits and anything semi-macro. Get one!

Check out #2 on this list... great phones, as long as you like the blackberry format.
Kind of expensive though... slightly over budget :(

The 7d is one of the fastest cameras around. Most Canons these days have Canon's DIGIC 4 processer inside, which is a very good processer. Well, the 7d has two of them, and it is, for a lack of better term, hella fast. You will be able to shoot at speeds of up to 8 fps (and at 18mp), and it also has extremely fast auto focus. Everything about it is fast.
|
|
|
|
|
I don't know if you are open to something like this, but I am suggesting a 4/3 camera instead of a dSLR. It will give you similar, dSLR results but is much lighter and smaller. It's ideal travel camera if you ask me. You can throw on a good standard lens and that's basically the only gear you will need. It's like carrying a compact dSLR. I think it's about the best you can do for portable and high quality. It can also shoot video, which might be fun for travel.
The lens it comes with is pretty massive, but like I said you can easily find a smaller one that will be great.
Look into 4/3 cameras if you haven't already... I think you will find it's a great dSLR replacement.

I agree with Zake that a Blackberry is a good idea. I like the qwerty slide down keyboard. personally, I have a hard time typing on small touchscreens like iPhone, and much prefer the actual keyboard like the one on this phone.

If you're really serious about this you could even consider Panasonic's Toughbook tablet.... but it's kind of a tank! Probably unnecessary, but not a bad looking tablet. It has an Atom 1.86GHz Z450 processor, a 64gb solid state drive and a 10.4-inch touchscreen, plus a battery life of about 6 hours. Not the best, but certainly durable. Although, I do have to say that Gorilla Glass on the Eee Pad loks pretty good, too.
|
|
|
|
|
If your primary concern is reading I would suggest a Fire. It is an excellent source for online media, and at a seriously unbeatable price. You can read millions of books, magazines, newspapers, and basically anything that has ever been printed. It has a really clean display, and reading on it is really a pleasure.
it's fast, simple, and inexpensive. definitely check it out!

This is an excellent wide angle lens for lanscape photography. It got really good reviews around the board, and is actually compared to Nikon's 12-24mm lens, which is about twice the price. People say this lens is actually BETTER than the aforementioned Nikon lens. I don't know what type of camera you have so I don't know if it's compatible with this lens, but if it's compatible then get it! (unfortunately it's currently unavailable at Amazon, but I am sure there are a zillion other places to bu it from.
I think there is a consensus that this is the best wide angle lens for the price, at least among reviewers. Check it out!

While there are probably better camcorders out there at this price (in terms of picture quality and extra features) I think this will be perfect for the travelling parents. It is just so darn simple and easy to use, and it actually records some splendid video.
It records at 1280 x 720, 60 FPS, and can hold about two full hours of video at that capacity... not bad at all. When you have filled it up, simply open the USB arm and dump it all on the computer.
The best feature for travel though is obviously its size.... so small!! They can keep in their pockets and always be ready to catch the action. It's also incredibly easy to use, which I know would be a huge selling point to my parents!
Oh and one more thing is it's way under your budget :)
BTW, very nice of you to get a camcorder for the 'rents.... great gift idea.

I mean the SIMPLEST and CHEAPEST would have to be a flash drive I would say. You might be looking for more than this.... but it's suuuuper simple and suuuper cheap too!

Yeah, Asus is a good choice. I would recommend this one here. It has a nice set of features and is under $1000. Here's what I like about it:
-Screen size: 15" is big enough to fully enjoy gaming/movies/all-that-jazz but not so big that it becomes un-portable.
-Graphics: you looking at NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics with 1GB DDR3 VRAM and NVIDIA Optimus Technology. Display will be pretty!
-General Internal "specs": Intel Core i7-2670QM 2.2 GHz, 6GB DDR3 DIMM (upgradable to 16GB) and a 500 GB 7200 rpm hard drive will provide fast load times, seamless gameplay, and great multitasking abilities.
I guess the thing is a little bulky, but hey it's got a lot going on inside, so you take what you can get :)

I think this question could actually be broken down into two sub categories: best e-ink reader, and best full feature tablet ereader. See, if the only thing you want to do is read, I would say buy yourself a Kindle Touch. It has that nice e-ink display, which looks exactly like printed paper. It's also inexpensive, at $99.
However, if you want a real tablet that can do it all AND is great for reading, go with an iPad. It has an easy to read, large display. It has thousands of apps to choose from and access to basically unlimited content. It offers free Kindle, Nook, and Kobo reading apps, with full access to content in those e-book stores. Additionally, iPad 2 offers Apple's iBooks application, and the iPad's Good Reader app is an excellent way to read, edit, and annotate PDF files.

Check out the Iconia. It's under $400, and a fantastic machine. It has Android 3.2 Honeycomb Operating System and an NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual Core Mobile Processor. This plus the big 10.1" screen come together harmoniously for a great tablet experience. They also have a model that looks like a laptop, except the bottom half isn't a keyboard, it's another touchscreen! You can use it as a keyboard though. This makes it way more expensive, but it's super cool!
A couple cool things about it. One, memory is easily (and inexpensively) added. You can get a 32GB micro SD card for under $50. Huge upgrade right there. It has a USB and an HDMI port. It features Android Honeycomb, a fantastic operating system.
It will be fast and pretty! Great option for under $400!

Yes, I also think Eee Pad is the best for the money. The 16gb is available for only $400, which is a screaming deal if you ask me. I am also an advocate for iPad 2, but for the money I think you get a little more here. It has a 10.1inch (1280x800) beautiful LED touchscreen, Android 3.2 Operating System, NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU, 1GB of DDR2 SDRAM, 16GB internal flash memory, along with a
mini HDMI Port, micro SD Card Slot, and a 1.2MP (front) and 5.0MP (rear) webcam. There are of course way more features, but I don't want to bore you to death with all the specs.
I like the nice big screen, and I LOVE the option of buying the keyboard that attaches and basically makes it a laptop with a removable screen.
It is definitely the best android tablet, and is competition for best overall tablet, and man you can't really beat that price!

I think this is really tough not knowing the age of said kids, but I will try my best. I was going to suggest the Nabi tablet, which is an Android tablet designed specifically for kids. However, it seems to be quite limited in its uses and apps, plus kids are so tech savvy these days I 'm sure he or she will have absolutely no problem navigating and mastering an "adult" style tablet in no time.
I suggest this HP for a few reasons... first is price. I love kids but I certainly can't justify paying more than 3 hundred dollars for an electronic device for kids! Next is longevity... this is something that a kid won't grow out of any time soon. You will most likely get years of use out of it. And lastly, versatility. As I mentioned before, the Nabi tablet has limited usability. You don't have access to the whole app store, and things like YouTube just don't stream very well. With this HP you won't really have any limitations. The whole droid app store is available (which has plenty of educational apps) and the tablet itself is just more powerful and user friendly. It has a nice big display and will be very easy to use. You can of course set parental controls to limit online content.
I think this is a great price for a solid tablet that your child will love now and be able to grow into as well.
|
|
|
|
|
At one penny under budget I would say this is your best bet as far as tablets go. That being said, I don't know how old your child is and what exactly you expect to get out of your tablet.
The Leap Frog Leap Pad Explorer is a fun learning tool/game tablet designed for kids roughly 4 - 8 years old. If your child is older you might want to consider other options, but kids n that age group really seem to like this thing.
They advertise it as a learning tablet, but it also has some fun games and art/drawing/photo programs (or apps) that kids really enjoy. Designed for youngsters, it is quite durable and made to take some abuse.
I think this is a good choice because it has more of an educational value than an entertainment value. A regular tablet will have internet and thousands of apps available, but none of that is aimed at education. For example, the Leap Pad will do things like this: if your child is reading a book on Leap Pad and comes across a word he/she doesn't know, just click on the word and it will read it aloud. Pretty cool. There are a bunch of books, videos, learning games, spelling games, science games, math games, etc.
The downside is yes, your child will grow out of it eventually, and yes, the games for purchase are a little expensive (about $5 each, and it only comes with like 2 or 3 when you buy it).
But I think it's a great purchase as long as your child falls into the age group, especially if they are at the bottom end of it.

I would go with LG. They make some awesome TV's. This one is 1080p, 120Hz, LCD, full HD. It will look great for movies, sports, gaming, you name it. All around a good bet.

|
At this price point you can get a ridiculously nice set of phones.
These Audio-Technicas are audiophile quality pro studio style headphones and they will blow you away.
They are designed for listening to very intricate and delicate sounds and they will produce an incredibly accurate and beautiful sound for you. Also, since they are designed for long studio work they are going to be very comfortable on your head. They also fold up into a nice little sack so you can take them around with you easily.
|
|
|
|
|
These are supposed to be like bomb-proof or something. They come with some decent computing power, too. Designed for really rough work conditions, like if you're in the army or something.
Apparently it's a great computer but it has some issues with the keyboard/touchpad, like sticky keys and stuff. Made of some sort of titanium alloy that is super tough though!

|
|
You should consider this HP in your search. Definitely a reputable company, and a pretty solid looking computer. I think it comes with enough internal power to cover all your non-gaming needs! On the inside it has an Intel i3-2310M (2.10GHz) processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory, 320GB 7200 rpm hard drive, a 15.6-inch LED backlit HD display (1366 x 768 resolution), Intel HD Graphics 3000, and
Windows 7 Home Premium. That is all actually pretty impressive for this low price. You might find that battery life isn't spectacular, but such is par for the course at these lower price points. I think other than that you will be very happy with it.

|
|
I would say at this price point you should go with Acer or ASUS. They have some nice laptops that work very well and are ridiculously cheap.
Obviously you can't expect anything super fast, but you'll be able to find something that will enable you to surf the net, do basic computer functions like word processing, and even a little gaming.
With this Acer you're gonna get a 1.33 GHz Intel Core i5-470UM dual-core processor. The Intel i serious processors are fast and reliable, so even though the GHz aren't really high it will still perform very well. You also get 4 GB of installed DDR3 RAM, which is actually pretty good, and a large 500 GB SATA hard drive. this is gonna be a pretty awesome machine for you, no terrible shortcomings at all. Do it!
|
|
|
|
|
I think this is the best compact camera around. You can get near professional looking shots on this thing and fits in your freakin pocket. That's pretty amazing. Image quality is very good. It can even high ISO shots pretty well. It has great features like the '8 shots in a second' thing, and the 24mm wide-angle is very useful for indoor photography.... it's also a welcome upgrade from the s95, which has a 28mm. It can also shoot 1080p video and features Canons new DIGIC 5 Image Processor. Fun stuff.
It's small, light, takes awesome pictures, and has tons of scene modes to choose from to ensure you get the right settings.
Man, this camera has so many features and cool things about it, you gotta check out all the specs. Quite impressive.
|
|
|
|
|
It's no secret that at this price point you can't expect too much out of a camera. This should get the job done though, and hopefully will be pretty durable and long lasting for you as well.
It has some impressive specs right off the bat, with 14 MP and 5X optical zoom, as well as a
2.7 Inch auto LCD screen. It also has a built-in 50MB internal memory with SD/SDHC support up to 32GB.
It has Optical Image Stabilization and lots of other cool features like smile & blink detection, face detection, red-eye removal, and auto scene detection, which will automatically set up the right setting for what you are trying to shoot. I think you will also like the 5x zoom, which isn't a ton but it's also not bad, considering.
It's gonna be a very basic camera, but that doesn't mean it won't take some great pictures for you. The main thing is just be delicate with it. These lower priced cameras tend to be built with less hearty materials and won't stand for much abuse!
|
|
|
|
|
I think this would be a great basic-needs camera for you. It will certainly fit in your pants pocket and will provide some pretty nice pictures for you. I think it has a good balance of quality, durability and value... meaning it's not loaded with tons of features, but what it does have enables you to take some wonderful pics. Things you won't find are a great battery life, low light shots, or in-camera editing. But that's okay, because with a 'pocket camera' you can't expect the world!
Its 26mm wide lens ( with Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar with 4x optical zoom) will get some very sharp pics, actually. It has a Super HAD CCD image sensor to deal with all 14.1 megapixels, and the fact that it is of the CCD variety is good, as they usually are pretty forgiving/easy to work with.
It has image stabilization to help reduce blur, and you can even record some video on this thing.
For under $100 this is a great camera, and it will be fun and easy to use from the get go.
|
|
|
|
|
I think this would work very well for your purposes. Acer makes a pretty nice computer, especially considering their fairly low prices.
I think for long days of programming your eyes will benefit from the 14" HD Widescreen CineCrystal LED-backlit display.
For those internal stats, it has a 640GB hard drive, 4GB DDR3 Memory, and even a little special surprise with those NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M (with 1GB DDR3 VRAM) graphics. NVIDIA is always a good thing. This computer can handle your compiling and stuff, I'm sure.
The screen isn't huge, but should suffice for your software development needs, plus it's quite portable that way. You'll be up around 3 GHz with turbo boost and your i5 Intel processor.
This is a nice computer! definitely a good choice for you!

Macbook is always a wonderful option for music and video. These come with very fast processors and 4GB RAM. Also included is a 500GB hard drive, but I am sure you will have most of your music on external hard drives anyway.
The big selling pont here is reliability and durability. There is a reason these are the most used DJ laptops worldwide! There are plenty of other computers out there that can provide you with as much, if not more computing power than a Macbook. But with a Mac you're not just paying for a big hard drive or fast processor, you're paying for the reliability of a world class company.
Especially when doing anything live, reliability is #1 on the 'important things' list. There can be no question whether or not your computer will perform perfectly all night for you...especially if you are being paid! You need to be able to expect no problems with your laptop, and with a Mac you can do that. You can feel confident that every time you bring your Mac to a gig, it will do what you need it to do. They are designed and built very professionally with perfection and precision in mind.
Gosh, I sound like a Mac saleswoman. That I am not! Just a passionate Mac owner, who has had zero problems with her Mac after 3 solid years of use.

|
|
This would be perfect for you and your budget. I am recommending this on its small size, durability and portability, and luckily it has some great internal specs to go along with it. With 4GB DDR3 SDRAM, (expandable to 8) and a 640GB hard drive (along with a 2nd generation Intel Core i5-2430M processor at 2.2GHz) your child should have no problem running all his or her favorite programs, watching all their favorite movies, listening to music and, later, doing their homework ☺
They claim this computer will give you 8 hours of battery life and that is probably an exaggeration. They are assuming perfect operating conditions, (like operating at a perfect temperature with all the screen settings low and stuff) and obviously these are not conditions you will be using. After the first year you can count on about ½ that.. Still, that’s pretty good. It also only weighs only 4 lbs, even with its 8 cell battery. Another great thing here is size. 13 inches is the perfect size for kids if you ask me, because it will never be too much to handle but is still a pleasure to watch.

At this price point you can get a mammoth machine. Honestly, this might be more power than you need for most of your business needs but might as well get ahead of the game and buy something that will last and perform for you for a while.
Well, this laptop will definitely perform! Sony Vaio is a great laptop to begin with, and with this model you will certainly be more than satisfied. Boasting a 512GB SSD, (excellent for travel/durability) 16GB RAM and an Intel Core i7-2860QM second generation processor at 2.50GHz (and with turbo boost up to 3.60GHz) this will be a very impressive performer. It will have no problem running your business software or keeping you connected as you're on the go... and the 16 inch LED-backlit screen should provide enough space to comfortably see your work with ease.
This computer will be ridiculously fast and I think you will be more than happy with it.

This is about as close as I could get to a well-suited multimedia device at this price point, and I ended up going slightly over… for that I apologize! But I think the extra $80 will be well spent and much appreciated, as it will get you a pretty darn nice laptop.
This thing comes surprisingly well equipped, with a 500gb hard drive and 4gb DDR3…. This is upgradable to 8gb.You also get an AMD Dual Core E350 processor, which should be fast enough for most of your multimedia needs.
The display is a generous 15.6”, and considering its 1366x768 LED Display, everything should look very clear. It also comes with AMD HD 6310 graphics.
I think this is a good company to trust your computing with, and their 1 Year standard warranty and 1 Year accidental damage warranty should help prove that fact.

I just can’t get enough of these Macbooks! I feel like the more familiar I become with PCs, the more I like Macs. Reason being, when you buy a Mac, you’re not just paying for some plastic, a screen and some complicated electronics. You’re paying for a trusted brand that has built you a reliable, high performance machine that they’re going to stand behind. They come with an awesome warranty, and awesome support. You buy the extended warranty and you will basically be guaranteed a perfectly performing, top of the line computer that will not be outdone for years (except, maybe, by Mac!)
Coupled with a name you can trust comes peak performance. From the Intel i7 dual core processor to the 4gb RAM and 750 gb hard drive, it will be blazingly fast and powerful.
Moving on to portability, these things hold a charge for like 6 or 7 hours, and this one only weighs 4.5 lbs. With a screen size of only 13 inches, you will have no problem taking Macbook Pro wherever life takes you.
I have a macbook and really have no complaints, it just works!

For a good gaming experience you need awesome graphics and you need speed. For a great gaming experience you need to add a large HD display to the mix. I think this computer from ASUS covers all the bases pretty well, with its NVIDIA graphics card and
i7 processor from Intel. It also has a 640GB 5400RPM hard drive and a 6GB DDR3-800 SDRAM. This thing will easily run games like Crysis 2.
It is highly portable, and even with its fairly large 15.6” screen it only weighs 5.72 pounds.
I think your 6 cell battery will be good, but probably not amazing, to be honest. If you plan on using an external monitor you absolutely can, via the VGA port/Mini D-Sub 15-pin, and you also get one HDMI and 3 USB 2 ports.
This laptop will be excellent for all your gaming and entertainment needs.

Presented as a gaming laptop, this Asus is a worthy contender for best Multimedia laptop for the price. Barely under $1500, this thing provides all the specs for some serious gaming, which in turn provides all the specs for serious multimedia abilities. It’s designed for awesome graphics and speed, and has an LED backlit 17” screen, full HD. It has an Nvidia GTX graphics card as well as an Intel Core i7 processor. His gets up to 2.8GHz with Turbo Boost. You’re also getting 12 GB DDR3 memory and a 750GB hard drive, enough for a bunch of your media.
Gaming will be awesome, movies will look amazing, and it’s got plenty of storage for music. It also has HDMI connectivity, so you can attach a monitor if need be. If you choose to, you can add the THX EAX 5.0 3D gaming audio technology, and you will have yourself a serious multimedia hub.
ASUS is a reputable company, and in general makes a pretty solid product. I think this would be a great choice for you!

I would consider this to be one of the best laptops for multimedia use. In fact, the Multimedia Edition includes three Sony applications that you might find useful--Vegas, ACID, and Sound Forge... for editing and stuff. I've used Sound Forge before and it's a pretty cool audio editing tool. You can record directly onto it and edit and manipulate your music. You can also edit HD video on Vegas. I think you will find all 3 of these programs useful, though maybe not as professional as some would like.
As for its other capabilities, you will find it packed full of media-friendly goodies, such as a 640 gig 7200 rpm SATA hard drive, 6 gigs RAM, and an Intel i7, 2.20GHz Processor. Add the NVIDIA GeForce graphics with dedicated video memory and now we're really talking.
Another nice thing for you will be the re-writable Blu Ray optical drive... which is, well, pretty self-explanatory.
It's got a decently sized 16.4" screen and 1920 x 1080 resolution for full HD, 1080p viewing. Everything should look good, sound good, run well, and make you very happy.
All around, I think this is an excellent choice!

The base model for these starts at $1999.00. Additionally, it is now available with dual Nvidia GTX 580M graphics cards, but obviously that will up the price a fair amount. These are amazing gaming machines though! The graphics are spectacular, and it seriously competes with just about anything out there, including some desktops.
It has an impressive 18 inch screen with 1080 native res, a quad core i7 processor , 8 gigs ram, 1 tb hard drive.
It has 2 usb 3 ports, really cool backlighting options for the keyboard, and overall a nice comfortable keyboard layout and feel.

Along the lines of what Eugene said, I think a child would appreciate the simplicity of the Mac. Intuitive is exactly what it is. It's easy to figure out how to do just about everything, even with litte to no prior experience. Large icons and simple menu headings, along with 'Finder' go to make for a very simple and user friendly experience.
Another impressive feature that you and your child will find attractive is the slight design and low weight. The 11.6" LED-backlit widescreen display is small enough to yield a compact design but large enough to be viewed easily without losing anything. And it only weighs 2.4 lbs!
I think it's important to think about build quality.... will it be tough enough to put up with the rough and tumble lifestyle of a child? Should be.... its unibody design is pretty tough, and if you add some sort of shell to the outside that will help a lot.
Check the link for its specs.... it's a really fast computer and certainly among the top performing in its category. Definitely fast enough for a youngster!

This was a nice addition to my iPad accessory collection. Nice for when I'm wearing gloves to still be able to use the touchscreen (great for winter time). Also good because it helps to reduce the amount of fingerprints on the screen. Feels like a comfortable pen.

Maybe you should look on eBay for a used Nikon or Canon dslr. I think that would be an excellent place to start.

You should check out this website. They seem to have some quality methane (or natural gas) detectors/alarms. On this website there is also a link to the manufacturers website, which also looks legit, and you can read more about their products.
I guess some are more sensitive than others, so make sure to get one that is highly sensitive.

Man you could get a 64 gig iPad 2 for under $1000. It's got a 9.7 inch screen.
I probably don't need to sell you on how great iPads are, but they truly are incredible machines. I know android tablets can compete with the iPad now, but the android app department is way behind apple's, so for that reason alone I would say go with iPad2!

You ever heard of these? Matias? So tough and rugged you won't even believe it.
I also really like the way they look...straight out of a bond film, ya know!?

I would suggest the Skywalker brand. I know they make solid trampolines.
There are certainly cheaper trampolines out there, but the very nature of jumping on one is dangerous, so a quality build is important. If not built well, the side poles are liable to snap or break or the springs may give way.
Anyways, this one would be great for two people because it is an oval shape, generating more space than a round one. 8'X10' should be enough space for a couple of youngsters to horse around and have some fun.
Check out the pics... you can see the fortress of netting built around it so no one will fall off and crack their head open. Happy bouncing!

I agree with Abby, Cooler Master is great for water cooling. They are great because they have a ridiculous amount of space to work with and to add your cooling kit.

I just finished watching this series on Netflix and I really enjoyed it! It does get a little repetitive at times, and I am sure they do exaggerate here and there, but it gives you a good timeline of important American historical events and some of the cause and effect surrounding them.
Great for the casual curious American!

Check out the Neutral colors...it's the second one down. Beautiful holiday wrapping, unlike anything I've ever seen. I'm gonna try something like this... I hope I can make mine look this nice!

I think this would be the most economical solution to your problem. Plug it into your wall socket and plug a light into it (or any device, really) and voila you have a programmable on/off timer. It only takes up one of your sockets, too. You set the time it turns on and off.
The only thing I don't like is that you can only set it to turn on and off once a day, so keep that in mind.

Here's another option for you to look into.
Like Doug said, these are not completely thief-proof. Honestly, my mechanic said they can be cut through rather easily. It will, however, make the thief's job a lot more difficult and will take them longer to cut it all off, which is usually deterrent enough. See, in the world of thievery it's all about speed! You gotta be in and out quickly so no one will see you. If they have to spend an extra minute or two cutting off all the extra metal it might be enough to make them move on to the next car instead. Sucks to be them, but they should have known better.
Get one of these and a good alarm system and you should be in good shape.

This is simply a great site for tapestries, I mean they have so many different options for you. I especially like the abstract category.
This is the one I bought
http://www.simplytapestries.com/colors-of-fall-tap...
They are a little expensive (we're talking a couple hundred dollars, maybe 3 or more hundred for a really nice one) but if you want a nice tapestry you gotta be willing to pay for it.
They ship rather quickly and are easy to do business with.

This one is by the company that makes Harmon/Kardon (high quality speakers/receivers etc.) Very much a reputable company...this thing will be freakin fantastic.
Take note that it's actually not a sound bar, though it looks like one. It's just a speaker with L,R, and center channels. All this means is you will need a receiver to operate it... which may be a deal breaker...I don't know. But I do know this is a great company (I own speakers and receivers made by them and they are of high quality) and it wil be a good product.

I like this system...I guess whether you want this or the soda stream type is a personal preference thing, so I'll just explain what I like about this one.
It's easy and actually kind of fun to make: just screw in the charger and shake. Shake it pretty well for best results...also cold water helps. The little chargers are a little hard to find but they are on the internet and pretty inexpensive.
I live in an apartment so space is a big issue.... this is excellent for that. Takes up almost no room, plus the canister is cool looking.
Oh, and it makes great sparkling water, too!

Brad's right, Tubbs is a great brand! I bought these shoes last year to pick up the hobby and it is really fun! I highly suggest it! This is a good entry level shoe for women, or at least for this woman.
I like them because they are comfortable and they lace up really easily. And of course, I can walk on snow with them.
I guess I am not the best suggester because i have only ever used this one pair, but I have had no problems with it, so I say go for it!
p.s. I priced out Tubbs and MSR, also Atlas, and to me Tubbs seemed like the best shoe! Good luck!

I have been using this recently and have grown to really like it.
What I like is that the color gets darker as you apply more. So for me (with light features) I can just apply a light layer and get my desired color, or if I'm feeling sassy I can darken the color....for going out at night or whatever.
I like the gradual color. It's not like you put it on and BAm your eyebrows are dark. You have some control over the shade.
It also has a litte brush at the other end to 'sculpt' with.
Try it out! I think you will enjoy it.

Şebnem Ferah is the only Turkish singer I know of... my aunt turned me onto her a few years back. She's a singer/songwriter. Her music is actually pretty awesome...it's like hard rock, badass female Turk style stuff. Pretty intense.... I like it because it has that Turkish flare in the music... I probably wouldn't listen to her if she was American!

This is the keyboard my husband uses... he works on his computer all day long and was developing some health problems in his wrists and hands. This keyboard really helped. It's great because it is totally adjustable, so you can find the best angle that works for you individually. It's got wrist rests that come with it.
It really helped my husband, and I'm sure you will like it too.

I've always liked nature inspired prints on my furniture. A beautiful one like this will add a natural sophistication to your room. Anything with flowers, branches, that sort of thing always looks good to me!

This is a cute tote. i think it's sort of what you are looking for...not really a travel bag, but just a bag to carry your laptop and various other things around with you when necessary.

I just think this looks so cool. A nice stylish addition to your salon, or whatever you need it for. Modern lines make it look very nice! And it's well within your budget.

I have one of these and I am very happy with it. I like the design, how it's a griddle and a grill. It has two reversible/removable nonstick plates for cooking, making it versatile and easy to clean. It also has two burners, one for each side....it gets pretty hot!
It's nice because you can make anything from pancakes to burgers.
|
|
|
|
|
This is a very nice desktop and I suggest it for your small business because it will save yo some serios space, as it is an all in one design. It will provide plenty of power and speed for your business needs, and it looks very professional!
It's a little pricey, but you wont have to worry about it failing you in any way once you get it set up.

Well I know this is way out of MY price range, but maybe not yours. This thing looks pretty ridiculous! I don't know much about digital pens, but this seems to be the company to go with.
It has a pressure sensitive display and a very precise, sensitive stylus. Definitely a serious drawing tool.

I would say something like this would be perfect.... just any square shaped (or rectangle) print that you like. Figure out how to fold it to get the wrap style that you like.

I have bought coffee from these folks before and it has been a pleasant experience and the coffee was very tasty. I believe I got French Roast once and a Dark Sumatra - I like dark coffees- and I liked them both. It's not the best ever (I'm a huge fan of my local spot!) but it is freshly roasted and organic, and I like the taste. The prices are very reasonable, and it will be sent right to your house! Check it out, and maybe try ordering once and see how you like it!

This is a nice little fix for the chef in need of some more counter space.
It's got wheels, shelves, a handle to push it around.
Nothing fancy, but definitely functional.

This is quite beautiful and super comfortable....like a robe and a dress mixed. You're gonna be hanging out, eating food all day, so you gotta have a comfy dress!

This may not be the 'cutest' laptop bag of all time, but these are really great durable bags. You will get many years of use out of this guy. You can fit a laptop and all your books and stuff, no problem. It's entirely adjustable and so it's easy to find a comfortable place for it to sit on your shoulder. I think you will like this bag a lot!

I have come to always expect good things from Bose. They always have a way of making beautiful sounding speakers.... I guess they've got it down to a science by now!
But these are absolutely the best computer speakers I've ever heard/owned. They are amazing. CRYSTAL clear sound... no distortion.... everything sounds exactly how it's meant to sound, from the double bass to hip hop drum beats... it's all good.
From one audiophile to another... treat yourself to these speakers! You will be not only satisfied but impressed!

I'm pretty sure it depends on the specific type of bush...some need to be pruned after flowering but most I think can be pruned late wintertime. Do you happen to know what type of bush we're talking about here?

Canon makes some wonderful printers - exceptional photo quality...as you would expect. This will print wirelessly from any computer, provided you set it up to do so. You have to install software onto one of the computers in your network to make this work.... follow the directions closely because this can be tricky!
The only thing I really feel like I need to warn you about is the ink cost..... yeah it's a bit steep! But you get some crisp looking prints, so to me it's worth the money.

Here's something a little different for you to consider. It's a backup battery/dock so you can always have a little extra charge with you, just in case. It also acts as a little stand for your iphone to rest on. Maybe not exactly what you were looking for, but definitely something to consider!
|
|
|
|
|
I would say this is def. the best choice for you. You just won't believe how fast it is! Fantastic speed... it can write up to 60MB/sec! I think it's the fastest one available right now?
It uses UHS-1 standard, and your d7000 is one of the only cameras on the market right now that can support this thing!
I don't think you will find anything bigger/faster.... although you can certainly find something cheaper! I don't know what your needs are... but this is really an excellent card.

This looks like a wonderful bag for you to consider. I don't own one personally, but am curious about getting one for myself... this is high on my list. It holds your laptop vertically in a padded and reinforced compartment. It has a couple extra pockets, and seems to be capable of holding your computer, any power supply you may need, and a few accessories like a couple books, cell phone, charger, etc.
Mostly I just like the way it looks! Unfortunately, that's usually how I pick things for myself. I say 'unfortunately' because sometimes I sacrifice quality for aesthetics..... however this bag looks to be a nice mixture of both!
|
|
|
|
|
Right off the bat, this is a printer only... not an all-in-one type thing..... but you didn't specify so I'm gonna go ahead and suggest it!
I think it's the best printer for the money. Very affordable and very high quality.YOu will be able to print up to 36 pages per minute at a print quality of 4,800 dpi... which is good!
It's fast, quiet, reliable and simple. it looks nice, too.
A couple drawbacks will be that it can't scan or fax or copy, and it can't print 2-sided documents.
Other than that, if you are just looking for a good general purpose printer, this thing will perform!

I prefer doing things the old fashioned way. A set like this should be all you need.
I think it is superior to an electric knife because it will never break down.... it will only need to get sharpened.
Turkeys aren't so tough that you need an electric knife, anyways, so I don't see what all the fuss is about!

This stuff is awesome! When you put it on it's like your lips are immediately drenched in water. It's a cool sensation. You can tell right away that your lips are being hydrated.
I think it's true with any of these products that if you use it too much it will totally dry your lips out. Everything in moderation!

This is a good step up from your basic $10 bike helmet. You know those helmets that are ten bucks, and are MASSIVE on your head, and stick up like 4 inches from your head?! Awful.
This helmet is nothing like that. It is small and light, but sturdy and tough. It's not bulky at all, so I don't feel like a goon when I ride around town.
It fits very comfortably on my head, and the straps tighten up nice.
Good stuff, Bell.

I like these lamps for the soft light and gentle ambiance they create. They are quite nice looking, and act as a piece of my decor, rather than just a way to light up the room.

I wasn't sure if you were looking for a boot to actually ride in, or just one in that style. These weren't designed for riding (although I'm sure you could ride in them) but they are a very handsome boot, and I just had to recommend them.
They are made of a resilient leather with a rubber sole. I wear them from fall to spring and they hold up very well. Great for almost any weather, as long as it's not too hot.

dude this would be a cool way to decorate a wall. buy a few of them and hang them up all next to each other. it would look very very nice.

So here's the scoop on this product:
This wheel cuts pizza (or anything small enough) really well and is very comfortable to hold in my hand. It is pretty sharp, so it won't crush all the cheese and pepperonis down into itself...I hate when that happens!
The blade slides out, so cleaning it is a breeze, as long as you do it shortly after cutting the pizza pie.
Unfortunately as nice as this wheel is, it does have it's drawbacks. Well, one drawback - not built very solidly. Don't push too hard or the handle is liable to break!
|

I own this set... I think it would be a great option for you!
Wicker is tough yet inexpensive. It's also quite comfortable to sit in, as it has a little spring to it.
As far as aesthetics, I think it is a very handsome set, perfectly adaptable to any outside living space.
They are also very lightweight wich makes them easy to move around.
I sit at this table almost every day, either for my morning coffee or evening drinks. I am very happy with it.

This grill is fantastic! You should get one. It all folds up so small. The little legs fold up over the top to lock the lid in position so you can take it anywhere with utmost east. Al you need is one of those small propane tanks and you can cook a meal for 2 or 3 people no problem.

If you want something serious you gotta check out the Ninja blender... this thing is a monster. My husband bought it for me last christmas and I was shocked by how big it is and how powerful it is!
At 1000w it blows the competition out of the water. Also, it has a monstrous 72oz container.
Very powerful and well built. This ninja has a real kick, if you know what I mean!

This one is beautiful!! I bought two of them because the twisty bases intertwine so beautifully together. I put them right next to each other and they make one really cool, twisty base.
I get a lot of compliments on it. Looks really nice with a full table set up.

I give these to my son because I believe that everything in here is essential to his healthy development. They taste pretty good - like strawberries. I tried one. It's like a little gell capsule that you eat. It's got a somewhat oily, strawberry flavored filling, which sounds disgusting, but it's actually not that bad. My son doesn't mind taking them, and that's the important thing. And it makes me feel good to know he's getting such a great supplement for his health.

At around $150 you can get this Kelty pack.... it's exactly what you need. It's designed by a company that also designs multi day/multi week packs for backpacking. Some of their packs can hold up to like 80 pounds, and the packs are designed to spread the weight evenly over your body. So I'm sure your baby doesn't weight 80 lbs so you should be okay.
all the straps are not only ultra padded but also completely adjustable, so you can determine how you want to spread the weight around. The pack is designed to place most of the weight downward on your hips, displacing it from your back, so it should be pretty gentle on your back.
Your baby will certainly feel comfortable in the padded baby seat, and it even comes with a fold up sun visor.
They thought of everything! Kelty makes a great product, and I think this would be perfect for your sore back!

This is a very effective product, and believe me, if you are a home owner you will use all of them eventually.
Slide it down the drain, twist a little bit, and pull out that disgusting clump of hair and who knows what.
Definitely effective! Cheaper than a plumber!

I am going to recommend NOT using those scented trash bags. Have you heard of those? I have found that they tend to be way over scented, so I can smell the bag from all the way under the sink.
You begin to associate the smell of the bags with garbage, so whenever you smell them, all you can think of is yucky garbage. The smell isn't that great to begin with, and when it makes you think of garbage it's just awful.
Good idea, bu they didn't quite pull it off.

I think a good espresso machine is extremely important here! Unfortunately, you will have to spend a lot of money to get one that delivers a good product consistently.... at least 500 dollars. But a good espresso machine will take a lot of guess work our of it and make your life quite a bit easier!

These are CHEAP and STURDY and EASY to clean. Sold? You should be!Just fill with your kids favorite liquids and freeze.
They are kind of big, I have noticed. Some would say too big.... almost adult sized. But they wok well and make my kids happy!

I have always preferred flannel. I think cotton far outmatches any synthetic material I've ever worn. It breathes better and feels better on my skin.
This is a cute nightgown.... i guess the floral print is a little 'old lady' (please, no offense to the elderly!) but the gown is cute!

The Coolpix series by Nikon would be an excellent choice for you, Questioner Guy. It has a slim profile, high speed operation for low light shooting, and the glass lens ensures incredibly sharp images.
It has some nice zooming capabilities and also records HD video.

As far as I'm concerned the soundtrack is as important as the video, so make sure you have a great audio system to go with your cinema!
My husband and I invested in this Bose system and it is really great. It get's really loud if we want it to and the sound is pure and crisp.
I don't think a bunch of satellite speakers are necessary.... just a lot of hassle for only decent results. Get some really good speakers and you will only need. 2.1 channels.

This is such a wonderful design and I am so happy I decided to get one for myself.
I saw some lady using one in the park and it struck me as such a clever design. I asked her if she liked it and she HIGHLY recommended it to me, for which I am thankful because it's great. Thanks, lady in the park!
My one son stands on the back, peering over the top and we cruise along. He loves it. When he gets tired he can just sit down in the rear seat. They can switch off if they want to as well.
Also, the shorter wheel bed makes it very easy to control and maneuver.
It's definitely on the heavy side, which is kind of a bummer, but hey there's gotta be something wrong with it, right?
|

|
|
|
well I have to suggest this one because it's the one I own and I am in general very happy with it.
it's easy for me to use and has the processing power to accomplish everything I need for my at home business.... however I know it doesn't have the kind of processing power as many of today's top of the line, high performance laptops, so I wouldn't recommend it for gaming or anything like that.
But for internet, word processing and some spreadsheets it's wonderful.
I am not a huge fan of windows 7, and I don't like how many programs were already on it when I got it... most of them will never, ever be used and that is just a big waste of expensive memory :(

I would have to say my boyfriend's 55 inch Samsung is the coolest TV I've seen... it's priced a little under 2 grand.
It is an amazing television - the most crystal clear display I have ever seen. It has stunning picture quality, and it's HUGE!
Really cool for Football games.
But I have to say the best part of this TV is the overall design. Even when it's turned off it still looks impressive, Sleek and thin and pretty!
Well worth the dough, if you got it.

Nice tones come out of this system!!
This is a great purchase because it allows you to grow. 8 channels will allow you to add more mics as you get more and more famous and add more people to your band! (do you need it for live music? i just assumed)
it's got a big sound and is ideal for medium sized shows. obviously it's not a massive system for playing at an outdoor venue or anything but it does produce a good amount of sound, and the 8" woofers provide some depth to it.
I don't think you'll find a pa with more sound than this one at this price.... other than maybe the Yamaha Stagepas

I've used this product in the past and it works well but like other similar products it is not very comfortable. It's not the sort of thing you can wear all day every day. But you should expect that because it's changing the way your body is shaped so it won't really be pleasant.
Gets the job done... really helped me stand up straighter (especially when it was on!) just not great for all day comfort.

Some sort of accessory would be fun... try a wallet like this, especially if she hasn't gotten a new one in a while. Girls need new stuff sometimes, and this is something that will make her think of you every time she takes it out!

You totally need something like this... it's cotton elastic so it braces your knee but is still flexible enough for movement.

These are crazy fun and entertaining.... is that sick of me to say? Makes killin bugs a sport.

I like these but I have a lot of hair so it holds it well. Probably won't work if you don't thick hair or lots of hair because it has elastic and only tightens so much. But for me it works great! And it looks nice and can be worn a couple different ways. I like it especially for when my hair looks nappy and I can cover it all up with this and still look decent.

This is an amazing true story that follows the 18 men in the recon. unit of the 394th infantry regiment, 99th infantry division.
Some of the most important men of world war two, these brave souls were a crucial part of turning the tide against the germans. This book is absolutely riveting throughout. A must read... there is so much good information in this book and it is a remarkable story!

these really are the ultimate sheepskin slipper! i mean i have nothing but great things to say about them, they are comfortable as heck, so soft on my toes, super warm, i like the way they look. They just make me happy! : )

This is just your basic die cast metal, big old heavy base microphone stand. But unless you need a boom mic, this is really all you need. It adjusts vertically by tightening and loosening the twisty handle in the middle. Very easy. Nice for live performances and studio work alike.
There's nothing wrong with this stand except that the base is so heavy... but I think that's a good thing, especially if you'll be travelling at all. You will need something tough like this stand.

Nice folding easel! Adjustable legs, can use any size canvas. Also, can be used as a desk easel. That's cool.

I am so glad I finally make the investment and got myself a good electric toothbrush... I actually don't hate brushing anymore because it's so darn easy. It has a two minute timer so I don't even have to think about when to stop.
If you're like me and don't enjoy brushing your teeth, this wil make it as painless as it wil ever be.
It charges right there on its stand, so it takes up almost no room and is always charged for me.
it's just awesome I love it!!

Im definitely a half and half sort of gal. Give me a double iced americano and a little half and half and I'll be in good shape!
Putting sugar in hot coffee is particularly bad for your teeth because hot liquid sugar wreaks havoc on your enamel. I love coffee so much I'm not willing to give it up! So this is my way around stained teeth :)

This book will turn your world upsidedown, like an excellent upsidedown cake. Amazing recipes in here that dig deep into the heart and history of America. Pies and cakes and sweets have never tasted so down right delicious! Best peach cobbler I've ever tasted. I was raised in the south so to me these recipes are fresh and new but at the same time familiar and comforting. I love it!
Easy to read, too. Even if I wasn't baking I could just flip through the pages because there is a lot of interesting information in it, and it's written well.

I think this is a good time to introduce some fairy tales to the little one. This book is suggested for kids 8 + up but it will give her something to grow into. Plus, it's nice bedtime reading material for the parents. I remember absolutely loving fairy tales at her age because they would whisk me off to a different place and time.... let my imagination go crazy.
This or a similar fairy tale book would be perfect!

This is a wonderful all around guide to help you familiarize yourself with general photography concepts from shutter speeds to exposure settings to close ups to framing wildlife photography... all that stuff plus a guide to the gear involved. this is a great book and it really helped me grasp the field of photography a little better and improve my photo taking ability.

i found this book to be very useful. it has a lot of simple, easy to understand and easy to do relaxation techniques that help you with breathing, clearing your mind and focusing your attention inward.
If you really get into it and follow the advice i believe you will see a big difference in your overall well being.

These are for beer but they're metal and they will hold root beer, too! My husband has these for his wet bar downstairs because they are really fun to drink beer out of! Probably also fun to drink root beer out of!
It's a real nice set and kind of pricey, but worth it if you are serious about a pretty looking metal mugs set!

i take this little book with me wherever I go. It's very small so it's easy to keep in my purse and the content is put together in a very organized, easy to use mannor. So you won't be fumbling around with it for ten minutes trying to figure out how many calories are in your burrito.
This thing has tons of food listings, including fast food menus and alcoholic drinks. great calorie counting book! makes it easy.

Wicked cool pattern and beautiful bold colors..... I absolutely LOVE this dress and am hesitant to even tell you about it because I want to be the only one who owns it!
So much fun and the rayon feels good, although I wish it was cotton because I like cotton better.
You will love i from the moment it arrives.

I love the whole Batman empire....including batgirl! this is a pretty sweet costume, fits a little large but not too bad. looks pretty good. shiny material. really short skirt so buy some leggings.
i felt pretty sexy in it, actually... it was quite flattering on me! lots of fun.
|
|
|
|
|
this is a pretty rad costume, but i have to say it's sort of cheap. it looks good... one of the best kermit costumes I've seen (not that I've seen a lot) but the materials are obviously not the best. You might only get one wear out of it, but you will look great!
make sure you practice the voice!

these are awesome pants for use as a waterproof shell. not designed to be super warm, so you will certainly need an under layer. but wow they are great for waterproofing! there's a nylon layer ans a polyester layer, so you can be assured no water is getting through. the also have an external cargo pocket which is very handy, especially if you ski or cross country ski.
there is a serious sizing issue with these pants though! they are way too big - i think they assume you're wearing a thick layer of clothing underneath, so the pants run very large. buy a size too small and be ready t send them back if they don't fit right.

Best war movie/mini series EVER. It's the true story of the 101st airborne division who are attributed as being one of the most important outfits in bringing down the Nazi regime.
Amazing stories throughout. You really get to know the characters in depth, which is different than most 2 or 3 hour war movies. There are interviews with the actual members of the 101st, too, which is just incredible to hear first hand what they went through. The fact that it's based on true events and real people in mind blowing.
It's humbling to think about what these brave young men did for our country.

You could try something like this. there are all different types. this one actually uses gps to track the receiver, and the location is accessible from a computer or smart phone.
it works only decently well though, in my experience. it doesn't work well at all inside, especially anywhere with lots of roofing or layers above you. (you probably have similar difficulties with your gps)
set up is easy enough. not compatible with a non-smart phone, though.
works well for tracking outdoors mainly, and since that's what my husband bought it for initially, we're satisfied.

I absolutely love this movie! Super cute, but not your average rom-com. It's a slightly different approach, which is nice and refreshing. It's not the same formula you've seen 100 times. I'm not going to ruin it, though....
I love his relationship with his daughter in this movie, just adorable. Ryan Reynolds is as sweet as can be!

It feels good on my face, really good. smells good too!
Have to warn you it is on the oily side. don't use too much!
very hydrating.

great lotion for oily skin, if you can find it! i have a hard time tracking this stuff down sometimes, but am very happy when i do! it moisturizes but doesn't make my skin oilier than it already is.
i like the fragrance, too. this is saying something, because I am quite picky with my scents.
smells good but it's not overwhelming. also has spf 15! i love this because I feel a little protected all day every day.
try it out! for under $10 what do you have to lose!?

This pack here is ridiculously cool. you lay it down flat and unzip it, then open the top like a lid to reveal 8 separate cushioned compartments inside. perfect for your camera and all of the gear you could ever need.
It's made well as far as backpacks go, too. Comfortable cushioned and lightweight.
Has a couple extra pockets for accessories on the outside, too.

yeah it will be a little harder to film with a dslr. focusing will be especially difficult to adjust to, but nothing a little experience won't fix.
you may notice that the codec is difficult to edit.... at least for me it was... at first.
like everything else, you learn how and then it's not hard any more.
one of my professors once said that nothing is hard, it's just unfamiliar.
with a dslr, it's worth it to learn how to use it. you will get better results and a more cinematic depth of field in general. beautiful colors and everything.

Obviously not a heavy duty bag, this thing is nice for light packing and short trips. It's super light and pretty small, too. I like to take it on all my vacations for the mini day trips we go on all the time. Like if my husband and I are going on a short hike I can pack some snacks and water in here, along with my camera and other small things I don't want to carry.
It's great for walking around cities and seeing the sights. Throw some water bottles in it, a snack and a map and you're good all day.
It's not big, but it's great for what it's meant for: light travel.
The whole thing packs up into a little pouch, too. Another reason it's awesome for travelling!

This is an awesome product that actually protects the whole bumper, as opposed to just the license plate, as some similar products do. It's incredibly easy to put on your vehicle and take it off, so if you don't like the way it looks you can always take it off whenever.
It's a thick, heavy material that definitely absorbs the blow from small bumper impacts. Makes me more confident with parking downtown. I trust my driving and my ability to not hit other cars while I park, but I don't necessarily trust other people! This helps.

This is a great bag that's lightweight and easily durable enough for my occasional travels. Nothing super fancy or special, just a good suitcase for taking on the plane.
What I like about it in particular is the high quality zipper system they use. This is very important to me on my luggage!! I hate when my zipper gives me a hard time. this is very annoying! I don't have to deal with that with this suitcase.
Oh and I also like this color because it's instantly recognizable on the luggage claim!

I would absolutely recommend this type of rack (the hitch mount kind) because it's much sturdier and simpler than the strap-on-the-back type. It's designed for two bikes, but just put one on there and you'll be fine. Plus you have room if someone wants to join you.
These attach directly into your solid steel hitch mount, and it is also made of some sort of steel, so it's VERY sturdy and tough. Once you get it on there (a fairly painless process) it won't go anywhere at all, until you take it off.
Very solid and easy to use all the way around. Holds bikes no problem. Great solo or 2 bike rack!

It could work if you look like Kim Kardashian!

This stuff is great for that problem. Works for any headlight and you can really get any shaped headlight to shine up real nice.
It doesn't require a drill, which is good and bad.
It's good because if you don't own a drill, like myself, you still have an option for cleaning your headlights.
It's bad because it takes A LOT of scrubbing to make it really clear up. But if you have the patience and the man power, this product will certainly clean up those hazy, yellow crusted nasty old lights.

This is a wonderful leather bag good for multiple travel, business and personal uses. Very attractive leather, buckles in the front hold it closed no problem. Has an adjustable shoulder strap, large main compartment, organizer pocket for pens and stuff.
The only thing is it is somewhat counter-intuitive in its design. It has an expandable inner compartment, but the buckles won't buckle if you fill it too far... so what's the point!?
Great bag. I love taking it with me because it is 1) functional and 2) attractive.

Here's a serious work pant for you. I bought these for my husband and they still look almost like new. They are an incredibly resilient pant. Well made, thick cotton. Double layer on the knee.
Has extra pockets and a hammer holder and everything. They fit very well and were true to size. Nice looking, too.

Here's a boot I recently bought for my dad. It appealed to me for a couple of reasons. First and formost the price! Great deal for a high quality boot. Also, I like how it looks.... the stitching is simpler than a lot of other boots, and the ornamentations are kept to a minimum. He wasn't looking for a flashy, show off boot, just something to get some good use out of. And he sure does!
Last report they had loosened up a little bit and were very comfortable, and they looked rugged from the beginning, so I know he's had no issues with durability or anything.
Great boot! HIghly recommended!

this stuff seems to work pretty well as a window treatment. helps reduce annoying wiper sounds. totally repels rain... like a little layer of protective plastic coating on there or something.

|
I think for maximum storage capacity you'll have to look into something in this style. Now, I own this particular model, and only recommend it for moderate to light use. It's not heavy duty enough for long road trips or high speeds ( i would definitely recommend keeping it under 70) and especially not high winds. However, it is really big, and, at 18 cubic feet you can't find much bigger. I think its own size is its biggest nemesis though!
Make sure you have a buddy to help you put it on. It's large and heavy and awkward.
All in all it's great and holds a TON of stuff. No complaints there. Just be gentle, that's all!
|
|

i would say from any number of places online. just look around! make sur you're getting something made of metal though with a good solid imprint

I think there's actually a lot of flexibility in your shirt/tie combination. as long as both patterns or colors aren't too bold. Don't try to match busy with busy. But two patterns can go together if they are subtle enough. For example, a white shirt with a very light pinstripe would look great with a striped tie. Or the same shirt with a solid color tie that has little color accents on it, or little shapes. Subtle is always safe. Obviously the colors need to go together. Try to avoid similar colors that clash, like red and pink, and avoid different shades of the same color (except maybe grey and black).
It's always good to consider what clothes you already own when picking out a new tie. You don't want to have to buy a whole new outfit around your tie, so pick a tie that matches the clothes you already own. Maybe wear your shirt into a store and hold up some ties next to it to see which looks best. Ask a sales associate to help if you need, they always want to help.

This is a beautiful 85% wool sweater. That makes it 85% awesome, which is pretty good. It's the thick, wide weave that gives this sweater its rugged yet sophisticated look. It feels so nice and the plaid pattern is big - like zoomed in almost. I love that about it. He will certainly love this sweater, it's gorgeous!
|
|
|
|
|
I don't know why they chose this silly model to pose for these picks, because he doesn't look very flattering in these pics!
But the sweater itself is beautiful.
Don't let them fool you about the cashmere... it's only 10% cashmere. The rest is wool. However, it is enough to give this sweater an extremely soft feel.
Available in different colors, too.

You should try something like this. A compression short. I know my husband has some Skins cycle shorts (I thin these are the ones) and he raves about them. Says it improves his performance on the bike and it's nice not to have all that extra material floating around him.
I guess these compression shorts help to increase blood flow throughout your legs and also reduce lactic acid build ups. So you will feel better during and after the ride.

How about some big, chunky bangles with a fall motif or color scheme? These are beautiful. Also a big silver bangle would be glorious.

This is a very attractive sweater for a guy. I bought this one for my husband and it's absolutely dashing on him. i think the v neck is a really nice look. the sweater is a nice long slim fit.
it's 100% cotton and pretty lightweight. it's no heavy, winter sweater. that's for sure. perfect for summer evenings or cool fall days

My husband is an electrician, so he certainly doesn't want a big hunk of metal on his belt at work. He buys these and they work great. They fasten pretty much like a normal belt, only without a big buckle!
|
|
|
|
|
In my experience, there's not much you can do about it. I've tried washing it and then hanging it to dry with some weight evenly attached to the bottom. also, as it is drying you should try to stretch as much as the fabric will allow a few times.
it works a little bit, but mostly it's just a lost cause. sorry!
|
|
|
|
|
yah i find it really only works for freshening up light wrinkles... nothing too serious. I like it for my work clothes because I don't always have time to wash between shifts - like I close one night and open the next morning. Very useful fo ar situation like that, or travelling, too. freshen up without having to use the hotel laundry facilities.

I would say I'm a sucker for the old tee shirt and jeans sort of thing. simple. nice materials, though...not cheap beer shirts or anything. that's so college.

This is a pretty nice little system that my husband and I installed on our 4runner. It was very easy to install - under 20 minutes I would say - and works just like it says. Has a little 3.5" screen which isn't much, but it's enough to do the job.
The screen mounts on your windshield with one of those suction things and stays there real nice. The camera mounts right onto your licence plate and transmits wirelessly to the receiver - this is great because it means you don't have to hardwire it, which saved us an installation fee.
The picture is decent, like I said enough to do what it's supposed to.
Things I don't like: the field of view is only 100 degrees, which is kind of narrow - wish it was a little more, but oh well. Maybe on the next model.
Also, the screen itself is kind of ugly. I wish it looked a little fancier or something - it's plain and grey :(
All around pretty nice though and it does what I bought it for.

I would say it partially depends on your hair color and skin tone, as well, but a white shirt or something with a similar green color on it might bring out those peepers
|
|

there are certain coolants out there now that are specially designed to be able to add to either color. just pay attention and buy the type that your dealer recommends.

They definitely help for front wheel drive vehicles.

Wow...all great companies. I have a purely Kenwood system (with woofer) and it kicks really hard... best I've owned. I think if you went with any of the above suggestions you'd be in good shape.

here's what i do: keep a box of these or something similar in your car, accesible to you. glove box is best, but this particular product might be too big to fit in there. Anyways, at stop lights or whenever you're waiting for someone or whatever, just take one out and start wiping your whole dash. if you do this consistently enough your dash will always sparkle because it won't have the time to get dusty! it works, trust me i do it all the time. good way to make the time go by, too.

These are freaking awesome:
http://www.amazon.com/Unknown-Sneaker-Wipes-N-A/dp...
They're little sneaker wipes that you can take anywhere. I just leave them at home in my mud room. Any time my shoes are lightly soiled voila! they're cleaned right up with these things.
I love how convenient and easy they are. I don't have to go get a rag and soap and water, just grab one of these, or two depending on how bad.
It's not gonna be a super deep clean, but they definitely clean up the surface real nice and quick!

or a long lecklace you can wear under a button up, so it peaks through al tille bit. so people know it's there, but it's not like 'hey everyone.... check out my necklace!!!"

Warm wool socks are key

Going with a floral is always a good idea. This pattern is elegant but also kind of hidden amongst the tie colors. Nice little detail. Would look nice with a white button up or a dark blue or black shirt... that would be awesome. Or a gray shirt would be fantastic as well....with black pants and black shoes. That's classy lookin.

Tell him it's important to care about fashion a little bit. Tell him he needs to start dressing for the job he wants, not the job he has.
I mean, everyone's first impression of you is usually what you look like. You need to be giving good first impressions all the time if you want to be successful, right? Right. That should make him change his ways, and if it doesn't, you're out of luck.
|
|
|
|
|
I would think you could find very very lightweight cotton clothes for that sort of thing. Cotton breathes the best, so it's probably your best bet for that sort of thing. Maybe go with a lightweight long sleeve white button up (roll up the sleeves if you have to) and a pair of lightweight grey or tan pants. Again, cotton would be the best as far as breathability.
|
|
|
|
|
These are great if you have to deal with high winds. Nothing's worse than having your umbrella rendered useless by the wind. This is bound to happen with a cheap umbrella, so I would definitely recommend something like this one. It's constructed with extra durable ribs and has a wind vent to help filter gusts. Great umbrella.

Jean shorts? are you kidding? always NO . no no no no no
|
|
|
|
|
This jacket is beautiful and 100% wool. If you've never worn a wool jacket you have to try one. Not as hot as you would think! They fell a lot more expensive than, say a polyester jacket, which you will find a lot of in this price range.
|
|
|

This might sound silly, but you might be able to just hang it up in your bathroom when you take a shower... steam it up real nice. Steam does a great job at taking wrinkles out of silk.

|
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with a hose, a bucket of warm soapy water, a brush and a rag. Wet the hubs, soap the hubs, brush like hell, wash, repeat. It's always worked for me. But then again I wash my car frequently, including the hubs, so I probably have less build up than if I hadn't done it in a while. Worth a shot, though, before you go around buying all sorts of gadgets and stuff!
|
|
|
|
|
I was gonna say RainX. I live in Seattle so I know about rain! These are the best wipers for non-streak. They transition well between hot days and rainy days, which is where I think the problem comes in to play. I know what you're talking about with those horrible streaks.... bad for visibility and just annoying. Try out some RainX wipers I think you'll be pleased.

I think a simple analog face with no bells and whistles and a leather strap. Definitely the most comfortable of the straps. I like a watch that isn't too flashy on a guy. It suggests confidence to me.
|
|
|
|
|
You should go for something with a squared off toe that's a little longer than usual. You know what I mean? Those long, low-profile square toes? They are a very attractive look and very much 'in' right now. Black or brown would look nice. Slip on or lace up.
|
|
|
|
|
I'm thinking summer months here..... go with a super light long sleeve cotton shirt (for comfort and protection from the elements) and some cargo shorts for all of your supplies and gadgets and whatnot. A hat is always a good thing, too.
For your feet consider some Merrill hiking boots if you're gonna get adventurous, or some Teva sandals for lounging around the site.
|
|
|
|
|
I would always suggest a skinny tie. Not only are they very much in style but they are just a better look for today's business professional. They also do a good job at elongating your torso, which is always more flattering. Check out express....they have a lot of nice ties. Also just look online....type in skinny tie under shopping and see if there's anything you like!
|
|
|
|
|
You should totally build one. It's way cheaper and you can build it custom, exactly how you want it to sound. You can find the model specs online and tons of directions, ideas and opinions about how to do it correctly. If you have the right tools and any woodworking background i suggest doing it this way. They will give you all the right dimensions and everything. It's basically just a wooden box with some carpeting on it... just gotta make it the right dimensions.
|
|
|
|
|
I think most people would agree that it completely depends on your set up..... what brand? what type of box? what amp? that sort of thing. There are endless possibilities, all with different outcomes. But, I will say that in general you will get a deeper bass sound with a 12" (simply because it is bigger and has a larger range) and a clearer sound with more punch with 2 10"s. Either way, it sounds like you're gonna have a bangin system!
