I think, if anything, they should be educated and offered special nutritional and parenting classes because some people are just not educated properly. I don't think separating the kid from mother will make anything better. Its going to take time, therapy, and a daily routine of exercising.

This is the best I have seen. When we bought this, the fact that it has a sea belt sold us. They are all pretty much the same but the seat belt is hard to find in these things. The kids try to stand up in these while its in motion and its frustrating having to re-seat them every 5 minutes to teach them not to stand up. They just needed a belt and this was great. I love the storage compartment in the front also for toys or snacks. When we go for walks I put my house keys, water, baby snacks and cell phone under that hood so I don't have to carry it all. I love it and the baby loves to get out and ride around the neighborhood.

BabyGanics is a great trusting brand. I use keep these in my car because you never know when an accident is going to happen. I also keep a container in the house. After changing baby's diapers I use them for me and I also wipe baby's hands because sometimes the baby will put hand in poopy diaper so fast I cant stop it but I can clean it and make sure its all clean. A friend of mine caught pink eye from not washing her hands properly after changing her baby, so I definitely make sure to wipe my hands well. I also like to use these to wipe down the baby's toys, play mats, and crib since it is alcohol free.

That is totally normal. Its everyone's fear to have to raise an autistic child. But you look at the good things, how beautiful the child is, it's innocence, the trust it has in you or your daughter in law, the eyes that look to you for comfort when it is so helpless. Your love for this child should be unconditional but being a little nervous is normal. If I were you I would start looking up ways to make it easier for the child to learn depending on the severity. I would also look up ways you can teach the child whatever it needs to know. you are the teacher, the nurturer and the understanding one this person looks to you for great care, just follow your calling and love and teach this child as it were your own. The problem in this world is people think once a child has a disability its no good anymore and they throw them away. That's B.S, they are miracles and special sweet hearts that need love. Thats not much to ask for. Be patient and support 100%.

It is a daily battle for us all. I avoid buying unhealthy snack food like chips, cookies or soda. I learned to NOT eat my childs leftovers. If they are finished, throw it away! If you have a sweet tooth, keep an organic dark chocolate bar in your secret place away from the kids reach for that once in awhile piece to satisfy your sweet tooth, or I like to take a spoon full of peanut butter for my sweet tooth and I'm good. Sometimes I put some peanut butter on celery with raisins and its super healthy but satisfying as well. The main thing you need to do is get active! Take the kids away from the T.V and off the couch, take them to the yard or a park and play a few games with them, either basketball, softball, race each other etc.. find anything active to do. You can always go for a nice walk after dinner either with the kids or without them, depending on if you can get a sitter or the hubby can stay with them. I know its tough but hang in there and think positive, take it day by day.

I encourage my child using imagination. He was making dinosaur voice the other day and a friend said " Don't let him become one of those weird kids that respond to a question in a screeching monster voice." I laughed and told him, Whatever my child becomes is what he will become no matter what, all I can do is guide him in the right direction and encourage him to enjoy what he likes to do as long as it does not hurt himself or anyone else. So there my opinion, I think you should play imagination with him and that will make him comfortable to tell you anything about anything without worrying you will judge him.

This was the buzz for my little one. When he was newborn, he did not care for pacifiers at all, so I thought he wouldnt like this, but we gave it a try when we noticed his irritability from painful teething. He actually enjoy this thing! He was chewing and rubbing his little gums on this thing to massage and sort of help his teeth break through a lot easier. This seemed to give some relief for him, thank god! It is BPA which is a must, and its non toxic made of 100% medical grade silicone. After trying to keep an eye on my baby without the monitor... I decided to get one so I can feel more at ease when My baby sleeps and im doing chores or dishes or even showering... After watching all these Nightline interviews about children that have been kidnapped from their own bedroom I definitely wanted to be able to watch my baby at all time when not in my my plain view. This monitor works up to 350 feet and my only complaint is I had to try out different spots for placing it because I had no reception in weird spots in my house, but my cell has the same problem, I think its just my house. Anyways, its great for day or night and battery life can last up to 10 hours which is fine because after 3 hours my baby wakes up so I turn the monitor off and let it charge up real quick. I could not feel more secure without it.

When I first bought this, all my son was interested in was eating the parts or putting the parts in his mouth, but as he grew which happened fast... he started clanking the parts together and didnt really get the concept of putting the shapes in the matching holes. When I took the time to repeat and point out the shapes and colors he showed more interest in it and as he watched me put the shapes in the holes he started trying too. It took a lot of patience but he finally got the idea and continued to practice and just showed so much excitement when he would try. This teaches hand-eye coordination, shape names, color names and concentration. A great toy!
